Place Of Power - Hot Springs
Hidden within an ancient fresh water cove in the Land of Hot Springs, survives very large Castle. Surrounded waterfalls, and sheer Cliff faces covered in greenery, lies this tiny kingdom. It is a Castle Complex built on and around multiple low hanging cliffs and smaller waterfalls. All of this lays on top of a deep lake, that feeds into an under ground river that leads out to the sea. This underground river is one of only two ways to gain access to this Place Of Power. However, finding this Place of Power through the underground rivers tunnel system is impossible. It can only be found through this method by someone who already knows where it is. The second access point is a tunnel that goes through the cliffs.
This tunnel is close off by a hidden door, positioned behind dense shrubby. The Castle is built with brick, and smooth tile for the ceiling. It is colored to match the it's surrounds. It gives it the feel as if the Castle of carved straight out of nature. It's insides scream magic, as everything seems to have a certain gleam to it. There are no shutters on window, as to allow a nature circulation of air to flow through it.
Layout
Regardless of which method you use to enter this Place of Power, you will always be entering from the East, and must pass through the Gatehouse to access the rest of the facilities. To get the gatehouse you must pass through a secrete passage that have hidden doors at each end of it. Once you arrive you must pass through the heavily guarded Gatehouse. Visitors not affiliated with the Coven must wait here until permission is given to allow them to enter further. It's much larger as far as most other gatehouses are concerned. This is thanks in part to it also providing housing for Servants, and those seeking a place to hide. The quarters are tiny but comfortable enough, and more than most servants can claim they have. This area also houses the treatment area, and hospital it is located here, because the servants are the ones who get hurt seriously more often with the work they do day in and out. Taking the stairs in the Gatehouse, up to the next level and crossing over the bridge, brings you to the Common Area. In this Area there is a bulletin board.
The Common Area acts as a central hub for the Castle, and grants access to most of the other parts of the Castle via stair cases. This also acts as a meeting area. This common area has a high ceiling, and is covered in art of nature, and and depictions of the Sun and Moons cycle. There is a large billboard Located near the East Exit. On this billboard is pinned with missions, items on interest, and other announcements Loki is to lazy to say. There is plenty of benches and chairs located throughout this room, for people to relax and just catch up. The South Stair Case in the Common area heads down, and it's path leads you to the Bathhouse.
The bathhouse sits on a natural Hot Spring. This Hot Spring is the main attraction for the Bath House. It also has a natural waterfall that drops down the back of the bathhouse, in a separate room, for those just looking for a quick shower. The Large bathhouse is Unisex, and manned by female servants who will both wash and dry bathers at their request. The North East Stair Case from the Common Area, takes one up a circular tower, that holds the Grand Library at it's peak. The North Stair Case brings you up into the Courtyard. At the end South in of the Courtyard is a Domed shaped glass building that over looks the property. The North end leads to the Main Building, that holds the Throne room. There is a walkway west of the Court Yard that leads to the Dinning Hall.
The Throne one like the Common Area holds it's own individual purpose, but also leads to other areas of the castle. The East exit from the Throne Room leads to the Resting area. This building has two stories with a tower at it's east end. The first floor houses honored guest and Lesser Witches. The Second level, is housed by The Corner Witches. At the end of the hallway of the 2nd floor and a stair case that leads to a Grand Suite. This is where Loki Rests her head. On the first floor of the Throne room There are 3 hidden doors, to which only Loki has the keys to. The west door leads to a Tower, at the top off this tower is a large vault.
In this vault Loki houses all of the Coven's most valuable items. The West Hidden door leads up to another tower vault. This vault does not hold item but bodies, humans and monsters alike, that are set aside for Loki to study and examine. The North Hidden door leads to a the last tower vault, directly above the throne room, that lead to a rather large room. It is here where the magical weaponry, items, and potions are created. This is also where Loki treats medical patients personally, be they a special interest or and extremely bad case. The throne room also leads to the North west area of the Castle ground, away from most of the buildings. This is where Spells are practiced and physical training is done.
In the Throne Room sits 6 thrones at the North End each of them with this design. Each of this Thrones are for a specific Corner. The Sky, and Earth reside in the middle. The Sky on the right, the earth on the Left. To the Sky's right sits the Lightning and then the Sun/Moon corner. On the Earths left sits the Sea, and then the Fire Corner. The 6 corner sit here during assembles and trails to case judgement, and determine the course of the coven. In the middle of the Throne room is a trap door, this is used to banish those found guilty of crimes into the Labyrinth beneath under the castle.
Those banished to the Labyrinth, are given the opportunity to earn there freedom, but finding their way out of it. However, there is no exits from the Labyrinth, Save of a Hidden Door, that is located in the Labyrinth Keepers Room, too which only they have the key. The Labyrinth isn't of a typical design, as it is an almost completely submerged underground maze, with no exit. Most who are cast here will most likely drown. The few who don't will be taken prisoner by the Labyrinth keeper, and subjected to horrors unimaginable.
