With a single eyebrow raised the Godaime would not answer the woman in words, merely with an “Oh would you now?”-kind of look and a rakish smile. Certain things were only to be ruined by words. There was another thing though that quite expertly managed to wipe any smile of Gosei’s face. The skull he had thrown would simply bounce off the protection the necromancer had evoked around her without doing any harm.
He had not expected anything spectacular to happen, but this was a whole new level of underwhelming. Looking around Gosei found a discarded spear. It had never been clutched by any undead, but probably by one of the villagers in opposition to the advancing undead. The head of the weapon was practically rusted off from having lain in a wet acid environment for more than a day. Ideal conditions for detoriation.
Raising the weapon Gosei would notice that the balance point had changed, it had moved backwards with the head of the projectile being half gone. If he threw it as is without anything changed the weapon would start spinning mid-air, and whatever power he would have transferred to the pole would be all for naught. Holding the ‘weapon’ in one hand he would aim this one too at the necromancer in front of him.
Something at this point would catch his eye at this point though, and deftly the Godaime would turn and step backwards. Lowering the weapon Gosei noticed that one of the creatures had approached him quite close. It was to be expected. He had been attracting attention, and had in return not thrown any jutsu or moved around to make himself less approachable, so this was far from a surprise.
Twirling the pole in his hand he would slightly adjust the weapon, bringing the point of balance to his palm. Perfect. Throwing the thing the Godaime would throw the weapon at his opponent’s head, just to have it glance off. In reaction the creature would simply roar back menacingly to a very unphased Gosei. With a resigned grin on his face the Godaie would just revert to the old formula, raising his hand at the undead creature and burning it out with healing magic.
