Doton no Jutsu (Earth Release Skill) Rank: "C" Skill: NinJutsu Effect: --- Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: With this skill, or release, the user is now capable of using, and performing techniques that deal with the element of Earth. This means that any NinJutsu or specialized TaiJutsu that deals the Earth Release will need this in order to be performed correctly. Limit: ---
Kyodai was thinking on the element of earth as his hands did all the work of his picture journal. It was amazing the amount of detail and speed he was getting but it did't really engage him beyond his memories. So it left his mind to wonder a bit. And wonder it did to the element of earth which was ever present around them. Even the ink has small elements of soil in it to make the colors.
Kyodai pictured the changing of his chakra for the hardness of Earth. But for Kyodai it was like water easier to manipulate the elements within. And the human body did carry quite a few earth elements in it. Copper in the blood for one. People require iron as well in small quantities. Each element in the human body was in small quantities but was needed to make the body work.
Kyodai's understanding and his fine use of the chakra network within made him very good user of such small things. His control was to such a fine degree it would take special sight to see the slight balance changes in his system that he was doing. It was really small things but it made his body more well balanced and efficient than before. This was just experimenting to him though.

Tsuchi Mizu Konbe (Soil & Water Combination) Rank: D-Rank Skill: Ninjutsu Effect: Creates ink that may be used for Li clan jutsu if the user runs out during combat. Special: “Hand Seals” Drawback: The quality of the ink is sub-par to the quality of bought ink, meaning that if used for most forms of art, the work will be substandard. Description: Quickly performing a small amount of handseals, the user focuses on a portion of water that is either on the ground or has at least ¼ earth in it. The chakra infusing into the water will cause the water to spin around rapidly, quickly becoming darker and thicker as the soil is mixed very well. Within a few seconds, the user will have gained a new supply of ink in which to use for more Li clan jutsu. Limit: Li Clan Jutsu, requires Doton and Suiton to use.
Kyodai was burning through the ink he had in the pen pretty fast. And he knew he would have to pay for more ink. Since this was his personal picture journal and the art work didn't have to be pretty he decided it was easier to get ink another way. He open the back of the pen and placed it in a nearby pen holder so it would stand up. Taking a nearby glass of water and the dust from the area he had what he needed.
So he threw together a few handseals and suddenly in the air the water was spinning rapidly with the earthen dust. This was how he was going to get more ink quickly and cheaply. The spinning water got darker and darker until it was the color of dark ink. With a little flourish he sent the mixture to refill the pen. It wasn't pretty or high quality but it did the job for which he needed it.
Kyodai smiled satisfied as he shook the pen a little to get the ink started. Then he continued on with his high detail drawings. The ink ran a little and was obviously subpar but it didn't change the fact that the details were still very clear. Kyodai seemed to have a few surprises in him yet. His Li Clan heritage making such things a trivial matter. He seemed to make such things look far easier than they were.

0/10 38/125 The next clan that Rael was researching was the chubby clan, Akimichi. The weird thing about their birth and anatomy, was that their weight maintained a rather larger physique regardless of what they tried to do to their body to be 'thin'. Their jutsus, which revolve around expansion and enlarging certain key parts or their whole body, required a larger physique. What peaked an interest was the formation of the tri color pills. Apparently they increased chakra reserves and strength temporarily to the user. What effects on the body those had, Rael was curious to see it in person.
Their personalities seemed to jovial for Rael's taste. Such kindness and peace loving could easily be abused outside and in the battle field. Rael let out a small chuckle when it referenced that they get quite upset when someone insults their body weight and clan. Admirable, but foolish. But Rael did wonder how much calories a Akimichi must consume to allow such expansion of their body. It must be quite high. Another chuckle escaped, seeing the cooks and chefs cooking such feasts for the clan.
Rael sighed and closed the books he was looking at about the clans. He learned a few things that would help against the fat beast if they encounter him once more. He put the clan books back into the spots the once held and saw an old looking book that has a title about nature releases. He opened the book open and began reading the first page as he walked back to Kyodai. The book talked about the different elemental releases that people with chakra, or magic, were capable of. Water, fire wind, earth, lightning, sand, ice, wood, crystal, and paper were the ten releases that existed in the world. It mentioned a few aforementioned abilities that came from seals, but nothing definitive.

The first chapter about nature releases was the water release, or better known as Suiton. To learn the actual release, one had to feel out with their energy and connect with the source of water and allow that energy to saturate the body of water. this saturation was the means to control the water at small and large. The text mentioned a few beginners techniques to see if water ninjutsu was affiliated for that. What amazed Rael was that masters in the water release style were capable of performing great feats with their control of water. They were able to pull water from the surrounding atmosphere to create their water source, which was no easy feat. One of the higher level techniques involved controlling the opponent through a membrane of water that engulfs the foe. 'Interesting.' the water release peaked Rael's interest a bit.
Fire release was the second chapter and quite large. This was expected from the Land of Fire, considering, well, its the land of fire. To learn and control fire was a bit more problematic than water. One produces flames from within the body and expel it out. There was no need for an initial force of fire to use fire ninjutsu. Rael furrowed his brows as he learned that most fire ninjutsu users tended to burn them selves with minor damage from their own techniques. But apparently after one truly masters the art of fire manipulation, they would take the experience from being burned and learn how to manipulate the heat to prevent further burns. Nifty, but Rael did not want to be burned at the fire's convenience.
Wind, or better known as Fuuton, was the following chapter after fire. Wind, as they portrayed it in the book, had either a carefree nature to it, or an extreme focus, allowing the wind to turn sharp to cut and slash through most objects. It could be utilized through weapons, such as fans, to produce the fast acting gales. If a person mastered the free flowing winds, they would be able to imbue themselves with wind chakra and allow themselves flight into the skies. Flying did intrigue Rael, but he was sure there were other ways to obtain such feats.

Earth release, or Doton was the next chapter in the book. To Rael's perspective and logic, Earth would be one of the easier elements to learn and utilize due to the access to Earth at all times. But learning it one had to allow their chakra to enter the Earth and saturate what ever user needed. Rael skimmed quite a bit ahead, wanting to know what a true master in Earth were capable of. It was amazing that a master are able to strengthen and harden their Earth nature abilities to the hardness of titanium. Others were able ti simply draw a map of sorts and change entire landscapes or create massive golems to control.
The last of the main five elements was lightening, or Raiton. Its main focus encompasses the control, power and precision of lightning to pierce and electrocute a person. but, for Rael, the element seemed far to volatile to be of any use to him, but he still found it interesting to see what a master is capable of doing. It was astounding that one is able to consume any amount of lightning and rebound it back with added power. But the risk of death deterred Rael from it even more. He would rather live.
Rael was getting into the combination nature releases, and the first one was sand, or better known as Saton. Sand was a mixture of wind and earth releases. The wind weathers the earth into the sand. The carefree flowing nature of wind also enables the flow and control over the earthen sand. The masters of controlling the sand element could create a near impenetrable defense around their body that is capable of stopping high damaging techniques.

Telescopic Eye (Second Learning) Rank: "C" (Special, See Description) Skill: Supplementary Effect: The user is able to see much further than normal and access an X-Ray ability. Special: --- Drawback: Must have the Byakugan active. May learn up to ∞ times. Description: When concentrating to See Through Chakra, the character can also spend time equal to Handseals to gain the ability to see through objects with X-ray like vision up to 10 meters from the user. This does not impede the user's line of sight and the distance a user can normally see, however they simply will not be able to use the X-ray ability beyond 10 meters. When the user first learns this technique the user trains it as a regular "C" Rank Jutsu. Each additional training allows the user to use the X-Ray ability for an additional 10 meters. For every 50 meters the user trains an additional +10 Training Points added to their previous training. The user also suffers a penalty to Observation checks every 15 meters instead of every 3 meters. If user loses an eye (has 1 eye) Telescopic Eye is reduced by 50%. Future learning also reduces distance by 50%. X-ray cannot see through Disguise, however they automatically make an Observation check against those in Disguise even against those who do not draw any attention to themselves. Limit: Must be in the Hyūga clan. Must know Byakugan.
Kyodai decided to activate his byakugan when Rael had left to grab more books. It was more for the practice than anything else. He needed to work on his distance training and this allowed him to keep an eye on the shady man. Rael may be on his team but that didn't mean he trusted him. That made him wonder what happen to Lance and Tamako. He kind of silently sighed and continued to draw as he tracked Rael.
It was an easy thing for Kyodai to do with his special eyes. As he mentally noted it was more for the exercise than any real reason to do so. But as soon as Rael returned he turned it off with a twist of his chakra levels. Monitor and observe was what a good scout did and as a medic he should be avoiding combat anyways kind of what Rael did. But he was not going to leave people in danger like Rael did.
This was why Kyodai strived to improve so he wasn't a burden to any team he may be placed on. It also helped that his mind worked well for shinobi operations. Kyodai reviewed how the power levels of his own chakra were during it's usage on spying rael. It helped him refine the process. The more refined his chakra is the better and more powerful his usage can be.

Hadasumi Soushi (Body Ink Creation) Rank: C-Rank Skill: Ninjutsu Effect: Allows the user the ability to convert water within the body (normally saliva) into ink as it leaves the body. Special: “Hand Seals” Drawback: Uses the body’s own water, meaning that the user will be required to later replenish that water, or risk suffering from dehydration. Beyond that, mastering this technique is difficult for most individuals due to the way that they are forced to manipulate the body. Description: Performing the handseals, the user delves into the body’s own natural water supply and then begins thickening it. As it is brought up near the throat, the user will then generally spit out a giant wad of ink that may then be used for a large assortment of other techniques. If combined with the special ink property jutsu, then the ink propelled from the user’s mouth obtains that property upon the moment it exits the mouth. The ink “wad” may sometimes be converted into a thin stream of ink, depending upon what sort of use the user has for the ink. Limit: Li Clan Jutsu. Non-medics must obtain 40 TP instead of the usual 30 in order to learn.
Kyodai hummed and hemmed for a minute before deciding to do a kind of experiment with his Li heritage. He did another series of hand seals this time to get a different kind of ink. He was going to use his own body as the source of the ink. This ink would be made from his spit but it was the least disgusting of the various 'waters' he could use for the ink. So when he ran out of ink he had another ready source.
Now Kyodai was somewhat stealthy about doing this waiting until no one was around and Rael was back at the shelves to cast his jutsu. He did it quickly and quickly dribbled the ink into the inkwell of the drawing device he held. It was a simple trick for him because of his innate knowledge of body and self that he had. But he could see that people without his knowledge base might struggle with this kind of ink technique.
Kyodai once finished recapped his writing utensil and continued on his picture journal that he was making. He was already several sheets into this journal of his. It was a calming exercise for him and it allowed him to experiment with his mother's heritage. He hadn't much to do with that side recently and that pained him some. But he was making up for that now.

"My dear Kyodai, you remember my fascination with the dead, or did I dream of telling you such things?" Rael finally talked to the paled eyed Hyuuga after his own reading. When he was putting up his books he found a dusty section, which usually meant old, unused knowledge. To his liking, it was a book all about the necromatic arts. Rael slumped the book between the two of them, watching out for the art project Kyodai was doing.
"From my own basic knowledge of the subject, Necromancy is defined and altered quite a bit. Many variations included, and I do believe the oldest documentations were from seers and ones who used divination." Rael's eyes started to glow brightly in amusement and glee. He truly loved such dark arts. "What they would do is they would call forth a spirit that was willing to be called forth from the after life. Now ghosts are weird beings. If they stay to 'haunt' the lands, they are only aware of what happens around them, but if they are pulled from the ethereal plane they have almost like an omnipresence mind. They are not like a God that knows all, but their being is a part of a string that flows. They are only able to see as far and as back as that string allows them too. So getting the proper spirit is needed."
Rael chuckled more, enjoying his almost one sided conversation. "Now what most people see as dark is the more common approach to the dark arts. The raising and manipulation of death and souls, controlling them to do their bidding. No this control requires a control over the mind and a foreground of the undead. But in order to do this they would have to call forth a soul and force it into a body, any body would do. The kicker? The soul would still have the same abilities and could also siphon some of the dead body's abilities! Oh there is so much more to talk about.I do wonder what this book could tell me!"

Ninpou: Shiezu no Jutsu [Ninja Art: Finger Drawing Technique] Rank: "B" Rank Skill: Ninjutsu, Supplementary Effect: Allows the user to accumulate a large amount of ink upon their index finger. That ink may be used to draw in lieu of a paintbrush. Special: "Hand Seals" Drawback: Requires a "D" Ranked amount of chakra every turn that this is active. Description: This ability combines the user's ability to form ink from their body and the user's will to paint. Channeling chakra through their finger, the user becomes capable of creating a mass of ink on the tip of it, and through a consistent chakra drain, maintain that blob of ink no matter how much is used. At this point, the user removes the need to use a paintbrush and dip that brush within ink. This allows the Li shinobi to have a greater flexibility, saving him/her both time and giving them more freedom to move. At any point the technique may be canceled by using Kai. Limit: Li Clan Jutsu. Kyodai's pen tip broke as he was drawing. He grunted in annoyance and then did a few more hand seals. Now he was going to use his finger to continue his artwork for his journal. With the amount of work and number of pages he was putting to paper it had been a little bit since he worked on it. It was obvious that Kyodai was good at it but maybe he needed more breaks so he wasn't doing so much at once. Kyodai did look up from it when Rael spoke though.
"My dear Kyodai, you remember my fascination with the dead, or did I dream of telling you such things?" Kyodai grunted to Rael's words for he has seen enough death without this guy. Then Rael continued. "From my own basic knowledge of the subject, Necromancy is defined and altered quite a bit. Many variations included, and I do believe the oldest documentations were from seers and ones who used divination. What they would do is they would call forth a spirit that was willing to be called forth from the after life. Now ghosts are weird beings. So getting the proper spirit is needed." That Rael guy was certainly a wordy person with all that talking. Kyodai went back to his drawing only half paying attention to the man. It was with his finger and body produced ink that he was drawing very detailed pictures. But because of Rael's words they were turning to the more gruesome parts of his memories in the triage.
Kyodai mutters to Rael not bothering to look up from his drawings. "Spirits and afterlife is what I prevent you know. By trying to keep my patients alive. " Then Real continued some more, man this guy loved the sound of his own voice Kyodai thought. "Now what most people see as dark is the more common approach to the dark arts. The raising and manipulation of death and souls, controlling them to do their bidding. No this control requires a control over the mind and a foreground of the undead. Kyodai shook his head. Not that he cared much but maybe he would get some relief from the dark self promotion. Kyodai pointed to a dark section that was under lock and key. He would continue his art even while he spoke. " There is the forbidden knowledge you seek. As you said most people consider it a dark art. "

It was glorious to see the young Hyuuga look disgruntled by his words, but he continued onto his rant with glee and a plethora of information that he was able to rattle off. "But my dear Hyuuga! Necromancers are, were, healers and usually some of the best healers in the world! The knowledge they had to procure in order to manipulate the negative and life forces of the natural and spiritual world required a heavy knowledge in the positive and life giving forces. Necromancers are, excuse me again, were, revered and often liked for allowing someone to see their lost loved one to talk to them every so often.
And from my knowledge they were also able to, if the body was still quite fresh and the soul wasn't abolished or moved on, could resurrect them! Not as a zombie, but as their own free willed person once more." There was no pause in his rant. Oh there was a light side to necromancy, but he enjoyed the dark, gruesome side much much more. "The only reason why it is forbidden is due to some vagabond got all pissy with the world and tried to raze the lands and procure his army of undead creatures. just because one person ruins it for everyone it is bad!" Rael gave a soft pout and the reason why it was frowned and almost unlawful everywhere. A grin raised to his face and an idea struck his disturbed mind.
"Orr...." Rael let the word roll off his tongue, resting four lazed fingers upon his cheek, eyes gleaming with anticipation to his reaction. "...for the sake of knowledge and knowing, we could ask Hogake-sama if we can have access to the morgue with his permission and person there as well. There are certain spells, devices and jutsus that allow a body to be preserved longer to be raised." His amber eyes turned piercing now, almost leering. "Wouldn't it be fascinating to see the works of a body and the secret it can hold after death?"

Kyodai looked back up at Rael with a slightly annoyed look on his face. Normally he showed all the emotions of a turnip with his usual fake doctor smile on. But right now he was getting tired of the darkness that Rael tried to drag him into. Kyodai shook his head not in answer but to clear it of Rael's annoying words. He drew for a few seconds longer then he looked back at Rael to answer him.
"There are no secrets of death that I don't already know that I care to discover with you conniver. You realize that most of those bodies in that morgue are people me or my fellow medics could not save?" Kyodai let out a sigh again. This time he was fully annoyed if Rael would look at his pictures some were of fairly gruesome surgeries and stuff. Considering Kyodai's skill with a Scalpel it was no wonder he had assisted in some of those.
Kyodai then looked back down at his drawings and continued with his picture journal using his own fluids for ink. And he was using his finger for a pen, it wasn't a ideal state but it worked. He was more annoyed with himself than anything for rising to the bait of that weasel Rael. But nothing to do with it being partnered up with the man. As he breathed slowly his mind cleared somewhat.

A feral grin went wide to his face, Rael still wasn't attracting him towards the idea of experimentation. "Oh it isn't darkness if it progresses yourself without any harm! I just want to see the limit of my abilities when I get to start restoring bodies back! I could be a better healer than you, think of that thought! Ha! Enough of my grandeur delusions! Do you know what makes a zombie different than that of a resurrected patient? Once has a soul and the time it took to resurrect said person! How about the rituals of doing so? I have got to get a book on the subject. All i know is that the body has to stay fresh and current in order for the soul to be able to return.
Oh what is even more fascinating is the on going application of curses! Now it is weird though. I do not know why this occurs, but only a handful of necromancers are able to bring curses down on people, as if they were born with it. I do not believe it can be learned as of yet. But these curses does all sorts of things! I have seen entire lands be razed by the infliction. Yet some are simple and just unpleasant. Tripping every time you walk, ill-fortune is bestowed upon you, anything and everything will go wrong. I do wish I was able to go into curses. They say a person knows usually when they are born if they have the capability to do such things."
It was a long rant that Rael couldn't help. The love for such topic intrigued him dearly. The book he grabbed remained unread as the facts rolled from his mind. "Oh then the source of souls and ghosts! Such different entities! Ghosts are of people whom are dead, unwilling to leave the material plane to go to the astral world. Those usually have grudges. Now spirits and souls are different. They are the ones that get called upon willingly and come back fro m the astral plane or it is a necromancer who is able to jaunt their soul out of their body. I do have the capability to do that, and i am not far from learning such feats. I just need to find a proper guidance to it."

Kyodai for a little while there tried to ignore the monologue of the annoying one. But he could only draw and ignore Rael for so long. For two reasons one it is rude and second because unless he wanted to move he had to deal with Rael. After an exasperated breath he looked up from his drawings once more for Rael was that annoying. Kyodai looked Rael dead in the eye so Rael could see his seriousness.
"Rael you know little of what you think your telling me. As a Medic I can very well see the light of difference between the raised and the resurrected. And if they are not their own selves very little is the difference. If you want to become a medic stop hiding in the shadow of others and come work at the hospital. Since you like the dead so much work in the morgue. They can use the help. "
Kyodai shook his head and then went back to drawing and this time was of some sort of surgery test that he did on a cadaver. Yes, Kyodai had worked on the dead as wellas the living. His extremely detail picture shows that much. One could almost see it come semi alive in the pictures he drew. The Li Blood was strong in him but Kyodai was a Hyuuga as well he must never forget.

Rael silently chuckled once more before responding to a now further annoyed Hyuuga. "Your medical knowledge might surpass mine, but I do have extensive knowledge on the lore behind the creation of Necromancy, how it came to be and their abilities, I do not question your passion and knowledge but you undermine, oh woe is me. You should know by now I am far to selfish to be a medic. But I do want to be able to regenerate myself! That seems far too useful NOT to have! Oh lets talk about Immortality now!" This was one of the topics that peeked his initial search into the necromatic fields of study.
"There are many ways one can achieve immortality. There is a stone, it gave no name, nor how to find or create it, alas I do not know how to make such beauty. It gave its creator eternal life, age not even a matter any more, only material death was an option to kill him." Unknowing to Rael, masters of their souls are also able to stop their body, well soul, from aging as well. "Another from was another stone. But this one was sort of lame. One had to be holding the stone in their hand to stop physical death from happening. Not my cup of tea. I rather not rely on holding something that can be kicked out of my hand once i am down.!"
"Now Necromancers have found ways to achieve both! A lich's phylactery! Now this goes against what most Necromancers believe in, I would say the same...but the allure of immortality is great. I cannot say I would do it or not. After all the path to immortality leads people astray and dare I say, loose. Allowing for your soul to be trapped in a gem and once you die, you reform simply. Its amazing! But my search for such ways will take a long while!"

0/60 Ninpou: Shiezu no Jutsu [Ninja Art: Finger Drawing Technique] Rank: "B" Rank Skill: Ninjutsu, Supplementary Effect: Allows the user to accumulate a large amount of ink upon their index finger. Must know Hadasumi Soushi.
Kyodai shook his head. He knew better than to engage with the worm of a man. But such little knowledge should be corrected. To start he took a blank page and began to draw really fast even for him the differences of the kinds of eternal life he was talking about. For the medical profession knows at least most of these ways and they all have their pitfalls. Kyodai was going to educate the man a bit.
"You forgetting that most of these ways you speak of, do not include long health. You are still dying and aging just not getting to the final point of death. And you will still die Rael it just might take longer or more effort. Now regeneration that requires precise Chakra control and patience. Do you have either?" Kyodai was now getting more than a little peeved at the monologues but nothing short of beating the man can stop it.
Kyodai drew Rael as he was now and then the various states of health he could end up using the methods he was describing. With Kyodai's medical knowledge and extreme mental processes it was a easy process to draw. The most gruesome picture of Rael of course was his lich form with his skin slouching off. There was no way that would be considered a healthy life to live.

"To a healer, which most Necromancers are, health comes along with it. But a Lich requires no nourishment to stay alive! Its a wonderful, but unforgiving way to live. But only those consumed by power and knowledge will fall prey to that notion. But the only way to die form long life is by physical means yes, but if a person tries their best to stay away from that, I think they would live well past a millennium." It was true that was a fallacy those who found the secret to immortal life, was that their health could fail. But the body stopped ageing.
"Dear Hyuuga, the body does also stop aging too after consuming such ways of long life. Unless I find it when I am old, my immune system should be up to par! I have to have patience and control to weave my spells into another's mind. It is delicate matter to precisely and discretely input an illusion. enough of life! let me drone once more about the arts!" Rael paused thinking of what he should expunge his knowledge on. "The after life is also a wonder to a lot, no lets see here."
"Ah, So there are multiple planes on this realm. We have the underworld, overworld, celestial world, astral world and one more plane where souls go after the astral plane. Do not give me that look, I do know there are more realms to to other creatures! But when a mortal human dies, our essence, souls, either materializes into the astral plane to still have influence or observe the material world. Its a sort of limbo. The underworld belongs to the dark beings, devils, demons, etc. They are the masters of the more gruesome aspects of necromancer if I dare say. But back to the astral plane! Eventually when a soul is done in the plane, they vanish. The go to a place most have not observe red or came back from, so it is a spectacle that no one knows about. It is truly frightening what ails us behind that veil. Are we reincarnated to a different body? I know that happens, but do souls vanish and end the cycle? Who knows. I do not want to find out." Rael let out a soft chuckle before ending and calming his rant.
