Shiki smiled as he looked at the first creations of his forge. He smiled as he realized all the work and time that had to go into his creation. But one of the best things that he realized was that this work was good and honest. It was the sweat from his brow turned into the skill of his hands. Sure making all this plate armor was a bit repetitive and a bit dull but what it really was the result of hard work and a lot of skill and time that was spent into honing his craft to make it great.

It was this repetitive nature that was going to set him apart from the other smiths that were crafting armor. A good smith knew when to be flexible and knew when they needed to become firm and strong. Hell the same could be said about armor to be honest. The more you tried to make armor that was so firm that it could stop the heaviest of blades it often meant that they would be unable to bend or to mold. But Shiki knew that there was ways to circumvent this process.

Shiki knew that armor that knew how to tense up when they were being struck. But more importantly Shiki knew that he would need to make sure that the equipment he was going to make were made of the firmest structure he could think of and design. He started the process as he normally did when he was making steel works and contraptions. Which was to say he started this process by finding the steel ingots from the massive collection of pallets and metal he ordered.

Shiki grabbed the metal ingot in his hands and weighed it around for a moment before he was ready to start the process of forming the steel into something that he wanted to do. By do he meant craft obviously. He started the process of pulling the metal apart and stretching it out inside of the static fields along his hands. Shiki smiled as the the metal started to shift and bend along the axis of the metal as he started to split the metal into a flat piece of the steel.

Shiki bent the metal into a perfectly flat disk and moved the metal disk into the area above the table. Shiki set the small disk down over the table underneath the small diode machine. Shiki focused on the metal that was over the spinning metal platform. Shiki then started twisting and moving the metal that was moving over the metal plate. Shiki started pulling on the metal and twisting it with his blood limit. As he did there was a creaking and groaning as the metal started to form.

Shiki started shifting and molding the armor and watching it bend and shift as it moved and twisted through the ground. Shiki started forcing the metal to bend and shift around his body as he made it form fitting. He started twisting the metal around and elongating it as he started twisting the metal around in circles and ringlets around his body. Shiki smiled as the metal was finally set in the perfect length and shape that he wanted it. He took the armor off and set it back on the table.

Shiki smiled as the metal started to perfect its form and start to mold itself into a perfect fit. Now it was time to add the magic to this piece of metal. Shiki leaned in close and brought his lops close to the metals surface. As he spoke he started to whisper the metals name as the metal seemed to move and come to life. As the metal was created the lightning started to form and crackle along the metals surface. Shiki watched as the metal finally stopped crackling and its runes glowed a soft blue.

Shiki decided that it was time for him to start the next leg of his craft which was going to be a really difficult work. He was churning out something that was going to be a bit more difficult to make. He was going to be getting back to work on more of the Talos system. It was a brilliant build concept but the creation of it was so labor intensive that it was painful to under go for long periods of time. But Shiki had enough of what he was trying to create to start a blue print.

The idea didn't seem that difficult in the bigger scheme of things but it was really going to be tough to pull out as Shiki started looking over what exactly he was supposed to be working on in  his build time. He started looking over the rest of his arm and started looking at where he was going to start his arm protection. Shiki looked at the arm and started to feel the contouring on his arm as he started the process of making a mold. He looked over and then made some handseals.

Shiki made the handseals and then summoned forwards a lightning clone up in front of him. As he did he did he started the long process of measuring himself to get the an idea of exactly how much space he was going to need to give himself in order to make sure that his armor was fitted perfectly. There was as secret to making sure that he got that perfect shape. what he was going to need to do was make sure that his armor was going to be able to fit any strain and movement.

Post 4

Shiki started looking over some of the different points on his body and started to check the point on his arm where he was going to have to stress any point of movement. There was the elbow, the shoulder link, the link down and towards the wrists but that was going to have to be put some place differently as opposed to the gauntlets that were going to have to be placed down on his arms. The metals would need to be able to fit snug but more importantly it was going to need to be able to wearable.

Shiki realized now there was only so much that he could do in order to fit the gauntlets to the arm guard but he was no amateur to crafting but one of the harder more difficult things that he was going to need to do was create an arm guard for a gauntlet that had never seen in person and more importantly that he has going to have to trust in another persons crafting ability if he was going to count of them for creating and forming specific armors and types as they crafted these items.

Shiki started to work on the sketching as he started the creation of the mold as he started the formation of the armor on the clone. He started by simply molding a set of leather around the arm and giving it about an inch of padded foam that he would be able to get himself into it regardless of what type of clothing that he was wearing as he started putting the armor on. Shiki checked the molding and started the formation of the leather to give himself some room space as he started working.

Shiki started working on some of the measurements and took some solace in the fact that he knew that Loki was a smith of some pretty good renown and that there was no way that she was going to let him down. There was no way that she was going to fuck this up so long as Shiki kept his skills honed like this they should be able to click together seamlessly. Shiki started etching the armor design down on a pencil as he started sketching out the armor to make it work.

Shiki looked over at the clone and started sketching and shifting the armor down into several different parts of the arm guard in order to make sure that when he finally had it created he would be able to start the process in making the armor more modular. Shiki started working on more of the parts of the armor that he would like to work on in order to make them modular. Modular being that he wanted o make sure that if part of the process he was damaged he could simply change the piece out.

Shiki started drawing out the different lengths of metal that would need to form in order to give his body the most protection on his arms with the smallest amount of weight and loss of mobility that he could create. Shiki looked down at his arm and rotated it and asked the clode to do the same as he started to look at the points of mobility and where the armor would be needed to stretch and move itself towards to make sure that he would be able to keep his mobility without any issue.

Once the points were measured Shiki started to check out the points of contact that he might need to keep strong in order to brace from an incoming hit. Shiki started working on the bracing force of his long armed armor. Shiki smiled as he started working on creating the length of protection that he was going to need to keep his arms safe from combat as he started the design. He started working on the process of creating four long ventral armor creations starting on the forearm.

Shiki started the construction point wanted to get done in order to create the ventral part of the armor. He started by walking over to the metal link that he was going to to need to pull from to withdraw the metal that he wanted to get started working on. Shiki started hammering out small piece of aluminum as he started working on the rest of armor design using some lighter material to keep his armor cheaper and easier to get hold of while he worked on the smaller parts of module.

The next part of the modular construction was going to be the most challenging bit of creating the arm guard but this was always the case. Shiki started the constructions of several of the modular parts of with the aluminum and decided that the best thing that he could probably do when he tried to make the armor was to set it up like a traditional coat of lames when he started the construction process. He finally settled on not just a series of long metal strips but also a a thick forearm protector.
