0/5Acting
Rank: "E"
Skill: Skill
Effect: Acting enables a character to skillfully portray various roles.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Acting is most often used as a form of entertainment, though it can also be useful in aiding a disguise or pulling a scam. A skilled actor knows how to research their role in order to provide a realistic portrayal to include mannerisms, speech patterns, dialect or jargon. The Acting skill also confers a cumulative 5% bonus (per level above Unskilled) to Disguise skill check rolls. The list below gives examples of Mastery and what the character can do.
- Unskilled || Give a stereotyped performance.
- Novice || Pretend to be a person whose background is not too dissimilar from the character’s own.
- Average || Play a role convincing to an audience not overly familiar with the part he’s portraying.
- Advanced || By observing and interacting with a member of a class or profession, he can pass himself off as said.
- Expert || Can independently ‘invent’ a role such as a lord, member of a cult, wealthy merchant, etc., and can dress and act the part with such skill that he can pass as that person.
- Master || Can successfully imitate any person well enough to fool anyone not intimately familiar with the person (barring visual familiarity).
If user has 25 or more Ranks in Acting user gains a Synergy Bonus +10 to Disguise (to act in character), Interpret/Perform Mime, Intimidate, and Sleight of Hand. Each time learned user gets 1 die roll to increase the skill.
Limit: ---Underestimating your opponent was the one fatal mistake most people made. Thinking lowly of a person drops your guard and does not really give you much of an advantage in a fight. When in combat, if you automatically assume that your opponent can not do something, without any proof, it could lead you to acting a certain way that would be your downfall. And for this Kinzoku would try to make the kid underestimate him.
While getting up from the bush, Kinzoku would make a motion with his hands as if he were wiping his pants off. Hopefully, this would give off the impression that his landing was not flawless and that he landed improperly instead of with a perfectly executed move, nonetheless a shinobi technique.Able Learner
Rank: "C"
Skill: Social Trait
Effect: The user has great aptitude for learning.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: When learning a skill, the skill states how many times a die roll may be applied to show how much they learned within that skill. Example, when a user learns "Botany" they gain 5 die rolls. This "trait" increases the amount of die rolls by 1.5 rounded to the highest number at 1 die roll per learning, however any number higher than 1 die roll is rounded down. For example: User learns Botany and gains 5 die rolls. With this Trait they will gain 7 die rolls. However if a user learns Lockpicking they normally get 1 die roll, however with this Trait they will gain 2 die rolls.
Limit: Must start with Character; replaces 2 Freebies.
