Description: This technique allows the user to increase the range in which they control the Sakurai Technique allowing for the jutsu to be more battle ready. At C rank the user can increase the range of this jutsu by an additional fifteen meters allowing them to control the sakurai petals for a distance of thirty meters. At B rank they are able to once again increase the techniques range an additional fifteen meters allowing for control of the Sakurai Petals within forty-five meters. The B rank version of this can be re learned to a maximum distance of one-hundred fifty meters.

Ryutatsu grinned as Kimi backed off so far from him. He fell into the trap at thinking that thirty meters was his furthest limits. But that was not so at all for he had been training his electrical abilities quite a bit. It was his limit and he just made it appear that was his limit. No, now it was a trap for the unsuspecting, his actual limit was further. But it was a challenge to push out. 

Ryutatsu held one of his discs at the edge of the thirty meter mark. But the other was launched at speed at Kimi. It was a spinning disc of destruction that moved with the speed of a master of movement. But suddenly it was halted and grinded against some wind or something. It kept grinding and spinning against a wind wall of surprising power. It was trying to push back against the disc while the disc tried to eat through it. 

For a minute they were at a stand still as each one tried to over power the other. Eventually though they both disintegrated. The disc into the petals that made up of it which flowed back into the the the flow that was around Ryutatsu. And the wind wall was severely gouged and looking to fall apart. And now he knew exactly where the wall was so it made it easier for Ryutatsu to maneuver his disc around it.

As they saw the shield, the twin couldnt stop but be amazed by it. The looks of it were just as they wanted it to be. Thry knew they had asked him to make something rather peculiar but they also believed in ryu's skill. As she hrabbed the shield she would start testing it by moving it into various positions and switching between stanced. The weight felt perfect. She couldnt wait to test it in actual combat together with her sister. As she held the shield with one hand, she grabbed a bag of ryo with the other and handed it over to ryu. Thank you for your efforts, they are well appreciated and will not be forgotten. When we will be in need of more weapons we now know ow who the right person to ask is. As she said that she would head back to her sister ready to teat their newly acquired shield.

Ryutatsu shook his head as he expanded and proved that he had further reach. The second energy disc of electrified petals came from on high this time. So far Kimi was making walls stuck to the ground. And none of the walls had any real height. So he was going to continue to see how clever Kimi really is. The disc of destruction and energy was just another test to see Kimi's knowledge.

Ryutatsu controlled the second disc at a slower rate as he stretched his boundaries. It was tough pushing his old limits but he knew it could be done. There was no way he was gonna be eternally limited to such a short range. He was going to fix his deficiency and get to Kimi with his abilities. Besides Kimi being on the defensive was good thing in his strategy. It was a battle of wills and endurance this time.

Kimi was shaping nicely for all that he was older than Ryutatsu. Ryutatsu wasn't being subtle with his remaining disc. But it was showing the power the first disc had. While he was chasing down kimi with it, his mind was working the next step. Kimi was trying to plan to many steps ahead while Ryutatsu was watching for indicators. Ryutatsu knew better to do just out thinking but also to make sure he planned for the now not just the future.

Ryutatsu pushed the disc further and further against his limits towards Kimi. It was slow by his standards but it was still as fast as a thrown kunai. So not so slow that Kimi had the time to stand still and think about the approaching disc. HE had been clever enough to destroy one but he lost his defense at the same time. Kimi had really surprised him with that but now was the second's turn.

Ryutatsu had look of concentration on his face as his sphere of influence grew. It wasn't the same kind of field like his blood limit. But it was very similar and it was something that was all him with lightning and flowers combined. He was an interesting combination things that you don't see very often. Interestingly it was just the disc that was going out at Kimi under control.

Ryutatsu had kept the basic petals and his lightning petals within his thirty meter sphere. Still making him very hard to even see and was quite distracting. It would take a very disciplined mind to first bypass the disc then work through the conditions. The rain and wind from the storm just made the whole situation much worse. This was his element though and he reveled in it.

Ryutatsu had trained many hours and basically specialized in his petal formations. It was in his blood to combined the beauty of flowers with the equally beautiful lightning. But it was more that to Ryutatsu, and maybe because he was male or because of his odd history. But Ryutatsu made every technique of his a very deadly weapon indeed. He was a master craftsman that put attention to detail in everything he did.

Ryutatsu did just that with expanding his sphere of influence with the Sakurai petals. He was the shinobi of the cherry blossom petals between the electrified sakurai and his razor sharp ikebana techniques. Ryutatsu combined and mixed the two on a daily basis. Lightning and plants combined in new ways in the young shinobi. But more so he could feel the electrified field created by the sakurai in a way no normal lightning user could.

He was a Kyoudo and as such lightning and magnetics answered his call as if it was merely and extension of his will. It was Ryutatsu's will not to be limited to just a short range. And his energy disc barreling at Kimi answered by powering towards the older boy and staying in his control. His field had expanded though he did not will his little petals any further from himself. This was the techniques of the young man born of lightning and cherry blossoms.

Raiton • Raikou Yama No Jutsu [Lightning Release • Lightning Bullet]

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: The users fingertips begin to glow a light blue as they fire off lightning bolts from the fingertips.
Special: Tiger, Serpent, Dragon
Drawback: After being used multiple times they begin to numb the user’s finger making it very difficult to use weapon’s such as Bows, Swords, or even Kunai. Can be trained multiple times to increase the amount of times that it is capable of using without making finger’s numb
Description: Once the user has performed the required handseals the user will outstretch his hands and his fingers. Chakra will be rapidly gathered their and suddenly each finger will begin to emit electricity. The user will then move their hands back and fling them forward releasing the Lightning Bullets at the opponent. The Bullet’s look like small marble-sized balls of lightning with is giving off a constant discharge. The balls travel as fast as a person can throw a kunai or shuriken.

Kimi was surprised that at the control Ryu had. It seemed that he had longer range than he had shown. He had walked into that trap, he would have to be better about that. He should have known not that Ryu would be keeping something back.

Kimi focused once more forming the same hand signs as before. He creates another wall to catch and stop the incoming attack. This time he would intercept it in the air using the full length of the wall to stop the attack. He would hold it 10 meters from his position, once held he would redirect the attack into the ground.

Kimi smiled as he finished the incoming attack. He had a chance now if he pressed his attack and press his attack he would! Kimi formed the Tiger, then the Serpent, then finally the Dragon as his fingers started to glow. He pulled his hands back making an X with his wrists, he would fling them forward releasing the attack toward Ryu. Ten bolts of electrified energy would race toward Ryu aiming for his chest.

Fuuton: Kazekabe no Jutsu (Wind Release: Wind Wall Technique)
Rank: "B", "A"
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: The user extends both arms, sending out a large, continuous burst of wind that forms a ten meter by ten meter wall of constantly spinning air. This air is then capable of dispersing incoming attacks, even "B" rank techniques.
Special: Handseals.
Drawback: While this is active the user cannot use other techniques, since both hands are required to maintain extended.
Description: The user performs the handseals and then extends both arms. A large gust of air escapes from the user’s arms, flatting against itself, forming a ten meter by ten meter wall of rapidly spinning air in front of the user. Air continuously flows from the user’s arm, feeding the technique as it blocks incoming attacks and continuing the spinning of the air. This technique is capable of redirecting impacting techniques as well as projectiles and projectile like techniques into other directions sending them away from the user. When the user learns the "A" rank version of this technique the user is capable of performing this technique and redirecting the technique, projectiles, or projectile like techniques back to the opponent.

Ryutatsu grunted as another powerful wind wall was put up against his Sakurai disc. His control had expanded well but those invisible walls were a nuisance for him to deal with. Just like with the first of that wall it was a battle of the jutsus. And neither seemed to fair well as his disc ate through the wall just to have it's energy rebounded to the ground. All and all it was more in favor to the defense.

Ryutatsu though was even more surprise as his petals drifted in their new and slightly wider pattern that Kimi reacted with a lightning attack this time. He even smiled as he moved in time with Kimi not to dodge it or anything. No he had a much better idea for it was happening much to quickly to be called a plan. By basically catching the lighting bullets in his hand as they sparked out of control, then with a twist of his wrist he sent them all flying right back to source.

Ryutatsu laughed as he felt energized redirecting that little bit of lightning. It has been awhile since someone tried lightning on a Kyoudo like that. They were the children of that power so it rarely worked on them. It was in their blood to master such an element so redirecting it was easy.

Effect: When the user is hit by any form of lightning (Includes jutsu's or natural) the user is able to make the lightning go threw their body and by channeling their chakra is able to redirect the lightning threw their hand anywhere they wish but must be a quick action.
Special: None
Drawback: If used to 5 times in a row the user's hand's start to get electrical burns making it impossible for the use to close their hand.
Description: When the user knows that they are about to be hit by lightning they start to channel their chakra threw their body to impress the impact, when they are hit the chakra then quickly lead's the lightning their the open channel way then made to send it out threw their hand. Depending on the rank of the technique means the rank that the user may deflect and redirect. When the user learns the "C" Rank they are capable of redirecting "C" Rank techniques. When the user learns the "B" Rank they are capable of redirecting "B" Rank techniques. This continues on till "S" Rank.

Raiton: Raikou no Ken

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Allows the user the ability to send small jolts of electricity into the opponent with every hand-strike and arm block for three turns. Can be used in conjunction with most Taijutsu that deal with hand-strikes.
Special: Snake
Drawback: May backfire if user attacks a water clone or other water type barrier etc.
Description: User takes in a very deep breath and holds the snake handsign briefly while their chakra is diverted to their arms. With every punch or other hand strike, the user's chakra is sent out into the opponent's body in a small burst that is electrified. It doesn't cause paralysis immediately, but the strikes do accumulate and it adds to the power of each strike. Basically, you hit harder and you shock as well. A smaller shock is sent out whenever the user blocks an attack with their arms. It is significantly less severe, but it does cause discomfort to the opponent.
Limit: Lightning Release

Ryutatsu smiled as Kimi would scramble at the lightning being redictred back at him. Not that Ryutatsu expected the little lightning bullets to do much. That was one of the weaker techniques but it wasn't bad. He figured though it was almost time to kick this up a notch as Kimi was becoming to complacent about his lack of movement. Ryutatsu knew that Kimi had planned to trap him but it was only a trap if he didn't know about it.

Ryutatsu threw together a series of hand seals in preparation for his next series of possible moves. He didn't really need this extra assurance but it was fun to practice anyways. He was going to become electricity personified. It wasn't hard as he collected the electrical charges into his skin. Unlike the usual version of this jutsu he borrowed some of the lightning effects from his petals. It was purely visual but it seemed the way to go.

It was usually an invisible technique as he brought chakra to his arms but in this case he gathered his chakra from the lightning chakra around him. Though giving Kimi some credit he might miss what Ryutatsu was doing with all the activity around him. He had two different spinning domes of petals and then their was the lightning heading out towards Kimi. It was plenty to distract a normal person.

Effect: Allows the user to create a vast number of Hana Katana at once, and control them in a manner similar to Hana Katana Ninpou: Odori.
Special: The user will infuse their Hana Katana with a great amount of chakra. Then, dropping their Hana Katana towards the ground, they will cause the sword to break apart into the hundreds of petals that the katana is made out of. These flower petals will fly out and touch other flowers, which will cause their petals to break apart and fly about, touching other flowers and causing the same reaction. Within a short moment, a whole field of flowers can be imbued with the user’s chakra. Then, with the performance of the Tiger Hand seal, the user will cause all of the flower petals to condense into a great number of Hana Katanas, which can then be controlled by the user’s hands and chakra.
Drawback: Drains a C rank amount of chakra per turn from the user. Only other Hana Katana techniques may be utilized when this technique is active.
Description: A dangerous technique to utilize, due to its’ great amount of chakra drain, it is one that is mainly only used to counter multiple opponents. Utilizing their connection with the flower plants around them, the Ikebana will spread their chakra about a great deal of flowers, utilizing their Hana Katana as a basis for the chakra manipulation. The numerous flower petals will rise into the air, condensing themselves into a number of Hana Katana, whose number can range anywhere between two and twenty, based upon the number of flower petals available for manipulation. Due to the chakra connection between the user and the flowers, the user may control these blades with motions from his or her hand(s) and fingers.
Limit: Must be in the Ikebana Clan. Must know Hana Katana Ninpou: Odori (Flower Sword Ninja Art: Dance).

Ryutatsu smiled as Kimi appeared to be occupied by what he had been doing before. It was time to change up the game. Kimi had asked for it when he challenged Ryutatsu a second time. Especially since he wasn't holding back as much this time around. But he had only shown Kimi half of what he could do. Ryutatsu actually has been being very nice in the battle so far. He could have killed Kimi a few times over or so he believed.

But Ryutatsu knew this was just a spar. So he was truly just getting started stretching his chakra muscles. He threw together a series of hand seals much different than the lightning ones that he had been doing. Suddenly a gale of petals from the surrounding and buffeted flowers came towards him. It was much like the dome of flowers he had before but these were frees petals.

The rain and the wind of the storm energized the young shinobi as he held his hand out to the side. As the petals rushed to him they rushed to the point where his hand was. Hundreds of petals were coming together and being pressed down. A sword was forming right before their eyes as his chakra harden them to the point of steel. And more so his chakra was making them bond at a level that few understood.

With a smile Ryutatsu dropped his flower petal sword towards the ground. It fell blade first and fell pretty quickly for the short distance to the ground. As the blade struck the ground it didn't stick into it like one would think. It shattered as it hit the wet muddy dirt at his feet. The blade became many individual petal that flew from the shattering katana like shards of glass hitting stone. But the petals were definitely more than glass as they flew.

Ryutatsu smiled even more as his chakra infused petals touched more flowers and petals making each one shatter. It was a domino effect as more and more petals flew from each shattering of a flower. It wasn't a true shattering of course just the petals flew off. But it appeared that way to many. Each petal that touched another petal or flower brought it under his control. A few petals flew up and around him to form the basis of hilts.

First one katana was reforming to his main side. It was just floating there in the air as if it was no more than a petal itself. But like the blade it came from it was as deadly as steel. Petals flew around in a great torrent as this sword formed and the basis of a second formed. Ryutatsu wasn't finished in the least of course. And this was happening in a very quick amount of time. But it was still an awe inducing scene as petals gathered more of it's brethren to become such cold beautiful items as katanas.

Ryutatsu's petals continued to flow and shatter the flowers around him. It didn't matter if it was a flower in the dirt or a flowering tree. And if Kimi looked he would see that most of the trees around him were of the flowering type. This little converted prison was perfect for one Ryutatsu. He held all the cards here but he was going to be mostly nice. It just wasn't often that he had a perfect storm of elements around him to practice with.

Nor did Ryutatsu have someone as willing to let Ryutatsu let loose. But maybe Ryutatsu wasn't as kind as Shiki in the main part of the dojo. Because when he was sparring with Shiki, Shiki limited himself to his level. Ryutatsu was only holding back on how much force he put into his attacks not the level in which he engaged. He was going to push Kimi to the brink with flowers.

Ryutatsu's little petals were now forming a second katana also floating now around him. This was the minimum that the jutsu would bring forth. And given the material all around him, Ryutatsu was sure he could bring forth the maximum. But first he wanted to see Kimi react as he sent the two katana at Kimi like spears with a motion of his hand. While yet a third sword forms near Ryutatsu.

Kimi had forgotten about that technique. You couldn’t attack a Kyundo with lightening and expect it to work the way it is supposed to. He was lucky it was such a low powered Jutsu, had it any really power he might be in trouble. He would have to step up his game, he had an idea for what step to take. He start to prep his next attack.

The first part was to ignore the in coming bullets. They impacted with little to no effect, his natural affinity for lightning lessening the impact. He smiled he was sure that Ryu had known that when sending the attack back. It was one of those moves that said I know what you got here’s a reminder of what I have. After the bullets impacted Kimi would dodge off to the left of Ryu.

He knew that standing still any longer would not be good at all. In fact having stood still for so long was bad in a battle like this. Kimi mentally kicked himself in the butt for it. He should have known better than to stop for longer than it took to cast one Jutsu. He would have to pay closer attention to his own actions in combat.

Kimi kept focusing as he moved 10 meters to the left. He then created five more walls of air around Ryu. This time they would only leave him with three feet of movement on any side. This was to keep Ryu from dodging his next Jutsu. He kept the first 4 around Ryu in place, to keep him from seeing a difference in his petals.


Kimi made the first handseal, thankful that it had been raining. Most of his water Jutsus need a larger water source which usually was a draw back. But with this rain he had more than enough water to use this Jutsu. Kimi smiled as he thought back to reading about this Jutsu in the academy most thought it would be useless to use in combat. Bu they had been very wrong indeed he had explained it then, though they didn’t believe him.


He had scored top marks on that topic due to his correct applications of Jutsu that one could combine into a effective attack. He had pointed out that by using the Meimei Hei would trap an enemy in place so the Ryuuki Bakufuu could be used effectively. That only three bloodlimits had the ability to see them and avoid them. This was a good technique to have for trapped enemies and pure confusion on the battlefield.

That days class was all about combining abilities and jutsus effectively. Kimi was trying to convince the class of the merits of using subtle Jutsu instead of over the top flashy ones. Most wouldn’t listen or would openly mock Kimi, though a few did hear him. The Sensie heard him and smiled knowing that Kimi was right. Though sometimes flashy was the correct way to go, it just depends on the situation.


Kimi described how you could use the wind walls to force a person into a trapped area. That using the walls correctly they would realize the water Jutsu was under them. You could walk them into the area of effect and have it set up so that they couldn’t jump away. It was the most effective way to use that jutsu with a team. Though a person could do so by themselves it would be a lot harder to set up the trap and work it properly.


Though if you set up with the wind walls first and seeded the battlefield with them it would be easier. But that would take time and effort that a person might not have by themselves. That being said if a single person were able to move ahead of the prey it would be a lot easier to set up the trap. But then again if they picked the wrong spot to launch from they would fail miserably. But that was for another class and another time.

Kimi was glad he had paid attention in class unlike a lot of the other students. He knew how to use tactics and strategy together in combat effectively. He had already laid the ground work for his trap. The wind walls were in place long enough so that when he place his second set they would not be noticed. With those in place he would then his new water Jutsu to attack Ryu, of course not with enough force to kill. But enough to damage and trap, that was the whole point of this training.

He had to show how good he was and how strong he had gotten. He had grown so much since that first sparring match that he was almost twice as strong. He had taken on and completed one mission it was easy and tough at the same time. He had stopped the thieves with minimal collateral damage as possible. Though he was forced to kill one of the thieves, the man had given him no choice in the matter.

That death still was on Kimi’s mind. He honestly didn’t know how he felt about it. Should he be glad he was alive or that his enemy was dead? He knew that he should have been able to capture all four of them with out injuring them but he couldn’t. That was one fact that was on his mind the most in the days since. He had not been strong enough to do so, that made him weak, with had spurred his next training session with Ryu.

He knew he was lacking in some fields and that was why he was training so hard. He had to improve and improve quickly, not just quickly but make sure it lasted. If you gained power too quickly it never lasted, if you wanted true strength and power you had to earn it. That was what he was trying to do earn his place in the Dojo and the village.

His power was growing and he was becoming stronger. Strong enough to use this powerful jutsu, he formed the next handseals. He focused his chakra and a 10 meter darkened water diamond started to appear under Ryu’s feet. He had to focus as the diamond stretched out and finally formed itself. This diamond was not easy to see if you couldn’t see chakra.

Ryu was dead center of the diamond. In perfect position for the attack which made Kimi smile on the inside. He didn’t want to give away his next move too easily, Ryu was too smart to miss that. Kimi was watching everything that he could. Watching the petals and the lightning chakra course through the air. It was an interesting pattern that was laid before him, one that told the boys story as well as anything.

The Jutsu was ready and so was Kimi. He unleashed his attack, holding back just enough to injury not kill. As the waves started he would restrict their power and height to less than lethal. But he would let them strike hard enough to rattle Ryu. He dropped four of the five walls closet to Ryu, so that the waves would not lose any more striking power. He kept the front one and original four walls so that Ryu couldn’t escape easily.

If he some how manages to escape Kimi was ready with two more attacks. He hopped thay he was closing in with Ryu in terms of class. But he knew that it would be a long time before he got to that level. But he would work his hardest to make it there as quickly as it was possible. Kimi smiled as he watched the waves. Form and rush closer and closer.

As the hey impacted in the center Ryu should be swept off his feet and thrown around in the current. That was the whole trick behind this Jutsu, to off set the opponent enough to either defeat them outright or to get in an other attack before they can recover. As the waves crashed into each other Kimi would again restrict it’s power and force. He made sure that none of the waves would kill Ryu. It was the bad training partner that killed their partners.
