Legsweep
Rank: "D"
Skill: TaiJutsu
Effect: ---
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: The wrestler drops to one knee and extends their other leg, then quickly pivots their body around, using their extended leg to knock away the opponent’s legs.
Limit: Must be in Wrestling ( レスリング Resuringu)
Tetsu could tell the fellow was thinking about something, and he didn’t like it very much. He clearly had a mental image of how this encounter was going to go down…which was not going to be the case. When the fellow lunged after saying something along the lines of don’t be hurt but I’m attacking you, Tetsu observed what was taking place there in the moment. The fellow seemed to be reaching for his tsuba, but at the range he had put them at, it left Tetsu in an optimal place to respond. He took his right hand, which had held his baton a moment earlier and used the open hand to do an outside 360 block on the arm reaching for the blade. Charging his palm with chakra, the fellow would simply feel a shock in his body before things got really weird (casting Derangement Palm here). His body would see to not respond properly, as if he wanted to be a limp noodle. Tetsu had just shocked his nervous system after all, so there would be not cutting for a hot minute. (you can recover a bit after this post…I need to trains some WWE wrestling yo.). Tetsu would in that moment swing down to his knee and proceed to spin his body in what would feel like a full circle Leaf Gale sweep. It was one of the flashier leg sweeps in his arsenal, and not really his favorite.
This leg sweep would see his opponent, if he did indeed stun him, falling backward onto the ground with a thud. Tetsu’s intentions were not to kill this fellow, but rather to stop him from attacking him. It was a very Aikido mind set. He would perform this sweep, which would remind him very heavily of people like The Huckster, or the Gravedigger, or something like that. He swept the leg with a very martial artist like precision that would have been equally well utilized in combat somewhere else. He was of course applying this in combat anyway, so that was very true to begin with. He held his ground, letting his body complete the sweep as he would hopefully, with the disoriented opponent, be able to knock them down. Again his intentions were not to harm, but to neutralize. Sometimes that proved to be harder than actually killing them. This was a moment for him to refine his skills and his wresting attacks that would let him use some more of his awesome Jiu-jitsu training. He took a deep breath as he felt his leg making contact.
Tetsu would complete the sweep pushing his leg all the way past his target’s legs. It was an important part to push through the target when striking. This could be said with any martial art. This kid had some sort of fighting potential…though he had proven to be rather dull to try and attempt a sword drawing right in front of someone who was a master grappler. His leg would sweep past and he would proceed to stay on the ground if the fellow was knocked down. If he was able to somehow get back up and attack again, Tetsu would address the problem there. His leg sweep was not one of his favorite attacks, as it was flashy and not efficient. He much preferred to do the attack like a tai otoshi; which dropped the opponent in front of him, using leverage rather than some fancy leg spinning attack thingy. He remained focused as he wasn’t going to remain on top of the fellow and would rather counter him as he attacked. This was his way of combat after all in the alley way. That would have to be quick though, as if anyone saw them fighting, there would be trouble for the young stranger.
OOC: Hey man, so this is just training combat, so I hope you don’t mind that I just responded as Tetsu would and tried to make it so you could keep training. The Derangement palm has other effects, but they can be ignored, just thing of it as a stun for the purpose of training so that you can continue! ^.^
