1. Nidhogg crouched down beside the dusty shelf and pulled out a book that interested him. The book itself was in tatters. However, mercifully, upon opening the pages the young man noticed that the writing was still legible. Upon taking in the first set of words, a tiny grin escaped Nidhogg’s lips. This revealed his fangs – one of his most notable features second only to his azure eyes that scanned through the contents of the book.

This continued for several minutes until finally, Nidhogg could comprehend no more and would need to spend several moments analysing what he had just read. Already bearing draconic blood in his veins, Nidhogg carefully analysed the first set of paragraphs. The writing was foreign and strange. Although the letters somewhat resembled a fancier and far more ancient version of English, the wording was far different.

2. Nidhogg shut his eyes for several moments and allowed his Draconic brain to take in the knowledge that his eyes had just scanned through. Draconic was a strange language. Due to being more ancient than Common, the words were strange and foreign to him. Although his blood seemed to assist him and supercharged his brain into somehow being able to comprehend the lettering, taking in each word as a whole was difficult.

Grimacing, Nidhogg slammed his fists onto the table in a fit of frustration. Sensing he was getting nowhere, he decided to take this one step at a time. Rather than learning the words, he decided to start at the most basic of lessons. The alphabet. Closely, his azure eyes scanned through the entirety of the book in front of him. The words seemed to attack him. They strained his brain and eyes. Still, motivated by a strange power in his blood, he continued.

3. Nidhogg raised an eyebrow while scanning through the book of Draconic in front of him. The lettering was foreign, yet somehow, familiar. It was as if his blood was screaming the answers to him, but his brain simply could not comprehend. “A…” He muttered as his eyes fixated on a particular symbol on the text book. It seemed to resemble three horizontal lines, each one stacked above another.

“A! It’s the letter A!” Nidhogg slammed his fists onto the table once more – though this time, out of joy. The entire wooden structure seemed to shudder at this act as he continued scanning the page. There was another symbol that seemed to catch his eye. The symbol, to him, resembled a table with the left leg longer than the right, along with a crescent moon sitting on top. It was a weird symbol. Very unlike what would be seen in human texts. But…

4. “B… You’re B?” Nidhogg’s eyes squinted at the page. He had nothing else with him. No translator or dictionary capable of assisting him. Yet somehow, the answers seemed to be revealing themselves. The earlier symbol was the letter B. At least, that’s what his instincts told him. Curious, he continued looking through the page in search for the next letter – C. It took some time due to the vast number of symbols on the page. Eventually, however, he was in luck.

“You!” He smirked as his eyes focused on one symbol in particular and blurred out everything else around it. The symbol in question was a strange one. As equally odd as the previous. This one, resembled a table with a single leg and half-crescent shape sticking out from the top. Held within this crescent, a dash-like symbol. His mind couldn’t comprehend how this could be the letter ‘C’, yet his blood seemed adamant about the fact.

5. Nidhogg crossed his arms and tilted his head as he continued scanning through the contents of the book. It felt like forever and yet, he had only managed to understand the concept of three letters in Draconic. Of course, in actuality, it had been mere minutes and the teen had actually made startling progress. Sadly, he was never the patient type. Grunting, he pressed his face against the book and hoped that somehow, his brain would absorb the knowledge.

“No?” He snarled like a vicious beast. It wasn’t going to be that easy. This was actually going to require studying. Sighing, he placed the book back down and searched for the next letter – D. Like before, his blood seemed to flare and signal to his brain that the letter had been found the moment his eyes crossed paths with a symbol that looked like a table with the right leg far longer than the left. Almost like the letter B, but simpler.

Blight roams the streets of the hidden mist village, exploring the area. His goal is to become accustom to the village layout and the villagers. He politely give hellos here and there to passing villagers. However, once he comes across ninjas who are clearly children, he swallows his opinion and says nothing. Each time, he places his hand into his pocket and makes a strong fist.

Once everything works out, the sight of children being soldiers be that of the past. Not just children but also the entire ninja system itself be gone. However, he must play everything in the long term and become famous within the village. If he tries now, he will simply get kicked out. However, he’ll become an integral part of the village and kick him out will grow impossible.

Blight makes his way to a small pound area with children laughing and playing at the park nearby. He walks to the parents making small talk and hands out his business card. He doubts most will keep the card or visit, but there will be a minority that will keep it and uses it as a reference when the time comes.

6. Nidhogg’s brain seemed to realise something the moment he compared the symbols for B and D. Like in Common, he knew that the letter B was simply two small D’s stacked on top of each other. He had no idea if that was a design that had been created on purpose or by accident, but either way, it seemed to help create a logical connection in his mind. After all, in Draconic, the symbol for D simply looked like a half-finished version of B.

Nodding to himself, he snickered to reveal his rows of jagged teeth before continuing to glance over the book. There was a lot of information to cover. Far more than his drowsy and strained azure eyes could handle. However, motivated by a higher calling, he knew he needed to press onwards. He could almost hear the spirit of his Draconic ancestors calling upon him. Sadly, without the knowledge etched into the book in front of him, he had no way of understanding their cries and pleas.

7. “Gyah!” Nidhogg snarled, the information in the text in front of him almost seemed to reject him. Likely, his human side. However, with dragon blood flowing through his veins, he pressed onwards and managed to decipher the symbol for ‘E’. Curiously, it seemed to look like a single horizontal line with an axe-like shape sitting above. It was a curious sight. Draconic seemed to have near zero association with Common aside from the fact that it shared twenty-six letters.

As Nidhogg scanned through the text, it seemed to make sense to him. From what he understood, it was clear that Draconic existed centuries before the first set of humans were capable of uttering Common. After all, Dragons are ancient beings. He wondered if Common was simply a bastardisation of the Draconic tongue. Noting down the lingual rules of Common, Nidhogg searched the text for similar uses of lettering in a attempt to make a association.

8. “Yes… I see…” Nidhogg felt like he was onto something. Common contained several lingual rules. For example, the capitalisation of the letter ‘I’ and the letter directly in the front of the first word of each sentence. Draconic seemed to employ a similar set of rules. However, rather than capital letters being slightly different to their lower-case counterpart, capitalisation simply seemed to be associated with bold and thicker symbols.

Finally understanding why some of the letters on the text seemed to be larger than others, Nidogg jumped from his wooden stool, grabbed the book and headed outside. Utilising the fresh air and change of scenery to stimulate his brain, he began reading from the book in Draconic tongue. With everything he had learned so far, the rest of the text seemed to come quite naturally to him. Snickering, he wandered towards the pond while taking in the last few pieces of information from the text.

As Blight gives out business cards to random villages at the pond, he come across a man in the distance speaking in tongue. He cannot understand what he is saying exactly. His first impression to Blight is rough around the edge with a bad personality. He has this aura that come off like a dragon but an immature one. The man has great potential down the road but right now, he is just a chick that still on it mother tit. Blight wonders what he should do about him.

He can see he has a village headband, so he is a ninja and not a normal citizen. “I could give him my business card but he might not be able to afford presently.” He rubs his chin for a bit, one option came to mind was to ignore him but not often does he get an impression of a dragon. Blight makes his way over to the man and shouts in a mocking tone, “Oh, is this a chick who just hatched from his egg or is this a dragon in front of me?”

Nidhogg stared at the short man with the annoying squeaky voice. His azure iris practically flashed crimson for a moment as blood rushed throughout his body. It was as if the Dragon-born was staring through the fool and right at his putrid soul. “Take a close look at my jaw human. I’ll bite your head clean off and see if you can still run around like a decapitated chicken.” At the end of the sentence, Nidhogg snarled like a feral animal while showing off his jagged teeth. The threat clearly wasn’t meant to be taken likely. Each tooth seemed sharp enough to be able to cleave meat straight from bone.

“Now then, mud monkey-” Nidhogg stared down at the imbecile that dared to cross paths with him. Standing at an impressive eight foot in height, the Dragon-born slouched slightly while staring at the man, the act of which causing his wild-untamed hair to flutter against the wind and his cloak like dark-blue flames. In every manner possible, Nidhogg was reminiscent of a true Dragon. However, his mortal humanoid shape hid that well. It would take true power or a keen eye for mysticism to truly gauge Nidhogg’s ferocity. However, such an action would likely drive most mortals to the deepest depths of insanity. “-Who are you to speak to me so arrogantly in my domain?”

Hanabi no Shinka: Mi (Fire Flower of Evolution, Seed)

Skill: Ninjutsu, Offensive

Effect: Uses one of the petals of the Hanabi no Shinka to create a small orb of fire in the right hand.

Special: The forward movement of the index finger of the hand holding the Hanabi no Shinka.

Drawback: Uses one of the petals of the Hanabi no Shinka.

Description: The Orb ability of the Fire Flower of Evolution is a simple cantrip. Once the user has the Hanabi no Shinka in play, all the user must do is move the index finger of the left hand forward, and one of the petals of the flower will seemingly fade. The user will then open their right hand, revealing an orb of flame that bursts into life. The orb itself is small, with a diameter of about three inches. The orb itself hovers about two inches from the hand. The user at this point can either attack or continue a combo chain. Each time “E” rank training is performed, the shinobi then gains the ability to create one more orb. However, the ratio is always 1:1 for petals: orbs, so creating additional orbs will still require a petal.

(Fifth Time)



Osoroshi would be walking by the pond in the Mist when he saw a foreign man. It would mean nothing if he hadn't heard a rude remark from the alien toward a fellow ninja. Hey, who do you think you are. If you pick a fight with one of us, you pick a fight with all of us. Osoroshi decided he was going to stand up for his now unofficial partner-in-crime. But to Osoroshi, the other mist ninja did talk in a weird way. He seemed to talk down to the older man. So what are you doing in our village anyway? I don't want to resort to physical violence.

Osoroshi's literal inner fire came to life. Warm chakra traveled through his harm. Fiery petal floated two inches from his hand. In just an instant, one central petal remained above his hand. The rest of the fire turned into small 2x2 inch spheres made of heat. They rotate and revolve around the palm of his hand. Five spheres... he'd thought to himself. This is the first time I achieved such a feat. I-I will shoot! This is the first altercation Osoroshi had, so he tried to sound menacing, but it wasn't in his nature.

On a closer look, the man is much bigger than Blight originally had thought. The giant towers over Blight as he threatens to bite Blight head off. Like a primitive beast, he snarls at Blight while showing off his teeth. Typical beast behavior, make themselves look bigger than they are and show off their fangs.

Blight checks his aura and it is already hostile, that is not all. His evil is nobody good but the far right on the evil side. If Junko was here, she try to kill him instantly on that alone. It a good thing I left her outside of the village until I finish business, he thought to himself. Blight crosses his arms and his face shows an expression of boredom. “I’m sorry, were you talking to me? Hatchling these days, all bark and no bite.”

A moment later, another person makes his entrance to the area. Blight glances at them and sees a headband, another Mist ninja. However, he can’t feel any pressure coming from this one either, meaning he’s a greenhorn as well. Blight examines the man, taking all information he can like he did to the giant and his impression is a straightforward, honest but lacks self-confidence. Blight shrugs and elects to test him as well. “From that one little attack? I’m shaking in my boots, please don’t hurt me.” Blight tone is full condescending while not even looking at him.

His eyes roam within the area as if either two are no threats, purposely provoking. If either one does attack or touch him, they’ll learn about his sand in his pockets. The sand will rise from his pocket and stop anything that may come to harm him.

(Sixth Time)

One more push of the index finger snuffed the flame petal, and awakened the sixth orb. His left hand was vibrant with colors, and his right was grabbing a kunai. I don't want problems, but I don't tolerate people who make fun of others just because they can. Go promote your business elsewhere. Osoroshi fully pulled the kunai out while his adrenaline was preparing him to fight, not run. He held the kunai with the blade pointing the same direction his elbow. He was prepared to make a couple stabs. As for his offhand, he could feel the heat making his gauntlet warm, he'd maximized the number of spheres but never used them before.

Osoroshi would glance his eyes toward the other ninja, almost as if he was asking "Is this gonna happen?"

Nidhogg stared at the new-comer. The Genin was tall. Almost impressively so. Sadly, he failed to reach Nidhogg’s stature. Still, the pale white eyes and odd yellowy complexion were still eye-catching features. Was the kid a human, or something more? It was difficult to say. “Heh. Being a Shinobi has its advantages. Strength in numbers kinda thing.” The Dragon-born snarled and snickered to himself while pointing a finger at the human that just insulted him. “Hear that worm? Begone- woah!” Nidhogg began hopping from one foot to another in excitement at the sight of the spheres twirling around the Mist Nin’s palm. “Cool effect. Don’t give him a warning shot, just shoot him! I want to see how many petals the guy can take before he drops dead.”

“Sharking in your boots? Is this a new form of human expression, or did you hit your head on the way through our gates?” Nidhogg huffed. It almost looked like he was about to spew flames. Almost. Sadly, nothing happened. The man wasn’t far off by labelling the teen as a mere hatchling. Compared to other Dragons – true dragons – Nidhogg couldn’t even be considered a hatchling. He was a mere embryo struggling to awaken the monstrous powers sealed within his blood. “Oi, Mist guy. What was your name again? Anyway. Forget the threats. Let’s just kill this punk and say he attacked us first.” Grinning, the Dragon-born stepped forwards and pulled back his fist. He seemed too far away to actually be able to reach the red-haired man. However, as Nidhogg’s fist snapped forwards, it suddenly enlarged mid-air to twice its original size with muscles bulging like boulders. With the limb’s mass increased, the punch shot forwards like a rocket at the man’s face with the intent to bash straight into his skull.

Partial Multi Size Technique

Effect: A technique allowing the user to increase the size of a limb for added Attack Damage.

Description: Picture Duration of this technique is 8 rounds per Class Level. This is a partial application of the Multi Size Technique, which allows the user to expand a part of their body. The point of swelling is to a single part of the body to use the weight as it increases the power of one's physical attacks. Any body part may be augmented this way, but for ease of use the arms and legs tend to be chosen quite frequently. Their attack deals normal damage as per attacking Technique, however this Jutsu adds an additional 6 Armour Points of Bludgeoning Damage per Class level. The attack has a range equal to the user's standard range plus 6 meters. When first learned user may only partial multi size 1 limb. User may learn this technique up to 4 times, each time learned user may multi size a separate limb. Final time learning allows user to increase size of any number of limbs.

Blight watch the young ninja take out his Kunai, as if he is getting ready with several orbs of fire. However, anyone can see he is very nervous and don’t want this to go down. Ah, might be a good lesson for him, he thought to himself. Blight raises his hand and points it at him, his palm is open and his fingers spread out. “All Mighty Push” An energy of chakra is force out and would hit Osoroshi, knocking him backwards and off his feet, but the damage is relatively low.

If Osoroshi is timid then this dragon ninja is overly aggressive. “Show me what you got with your number advantage.” His face is full of rage and if he could breathe fire, he would. He takes a step back and throws a punch at Blight. Normally, the distance between them be too far, but suddenly it grew in size and move at the speed of a rocket. Once it reaches close to hurt him, his sand in his pockets come out and blocks the attack. “I admit, I have never seen that attack before. However, is that the best you can do?”

Effect: The user creates a push of Force to knock the opponent back.

Description: The user is able to perform this technique at a distance of 7 meters plus 6 meters per class level. The target of the Jutsu is 1 Creature. The Duration of the Jutsu is Instantaneous. Push forces the target creature backward as if the creature had been subjected to a bull rush. The push always moves with the opponent to push it back the full distance allowed, and it has no speed limit. If the target is pushed against a wall or another solid surface, it suffers an additional +10 Armour Points of bludgeoning damage. The user is capable of knocking the target back 2 meters per Class Level.

Shield of Sand (Shield of Sand)

Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: Whenever the user is about to come to harm, a shield of sand will automatically surround and protect him.

Drawback: Depending on the user's rank depends on the strength and speed of the technique.
Description: The shield is capable of withstanding considerably strong attacks and projectiles, and can be hardened to a point where it's stronger than many creations. The shield is so strong that it has earned the name "Absolute Defense" (絶対防御, Zettai Bōgyo). The sand will react regardless of the user's will, even protecting them from self-inflicted injuries. User may also completely surround them in the shield to further increase the defensive capabilities. Strength and Speed of Technique depends on the rank of the Technique.
o "B" Rank - Capable of stopping 8 movements. Capable of stopping "C" Rank techniques.
o "A" Rank - Capable of stopping 10 movements. Capable of stopping "B" Rank techniques.
o "S" Rank - Capable of stopping 12 movements. Capable of stopping "A" Rank techniques.

Each Class the user is higher than "C" the shield's strength increases by 1 Rank giving a full capability of stopping "S"+"C" Rank techniques. The amount of movements is an accumulation over the amount of enemies attacking. This is a mastery and doesn't take up much Chakra when activated. User may activate or deactivate this anytime they wish. Activating takes up 0 movements.
Limit: Must have gained 500 Training Points in Sand for "B" Rank Automatically. Must have gained 1,000 Training Points in Sand for "A" Rank Automatically. Must have gained 1,500 Training Points in Sand for "S" Rank Automatically.

“The fuck was that?” Nidhogg blinked as his Mist ally was punted away like a paper rag doll by some sort of invisible force. “The fuck is this?” If that wasn’t strange enough – a cloud of sand rose from the man’s pocket and formed a protective barrier. “That had all my strength behind it…” Nidhogg scowled as the impact behind his attack dissipated. Reeling back his fist and returning it to original size, he grimaced at the sight of the scratches and torn flesh along his knuckles. Quite literally like punching sand paper, the Dragon-born felt like he had just come out of that exchange far worse than the opponent.

“Heh. The best I can do? No. Let me show you my best, worm.” The area suddenly grew deadly silent. A sense of tension and anxiety would fill the hearts of any spectators. Bulging, Nidhogg began groaning as his veins popped against his flesh and his muscles expanded. He looked like he was about to power up. “SECRET TECHNIQUE!” He yelled with a thunderous voice. The human male could likely feel monstrous energy exuding from Nidhogg’s body in the form of steam. This was power beyond his mortal comprehension. “DRAGON STYLE - QUICK ESCAPE NO JUTSU!” He yelled while swiftly pivoting on one foot to turn away before breaking out into a mad zig-zagging dash with the speed of a startled lizard.

Description: This technique does not count against the user's Perception Training Points. Glamours cannot produce real effects, but they can change things that already exist. That's the chief difference between a Figment and a Glamour. If you want solid wood to feel rotten, birdcalls to sound like the shrieks of the damned, an otyugh to smell like perfume, or a disguise yourself, you probably want a glamour. As with Figments, everyone within range perceives the same thing and reacts appropriately.

“I won’t lose.” While dashing away, Nidhogg felt a strange sensation welling up inside of him. All the power he exuded earlier was merely for show. However, the mental and physical strain accompanied by summoning forth so much Chakra seemed to have awakened something inside of himself. Somehow able to control this mysterious force of energy like it was a fifth limb, Nidhogg tapped into the power by allowing it to release from his body.

As the energy oozed out, it took the form of a pale blue light. Spotting this, Nidhogg squinted. By focusing all of the Chakra onto one location, he managed to ‘push’ the aura into his right arm. With a little more focus, he managed to focus this even further into his fist alone – where it glowed brightly. He then conjured an image in his mind. An image of smooth skin and an undamaged fist. Reacting to these thoughts, the Chakra seemed to almost absorb the image straight out of his head and reflect it into the real world. His fist was still injured. The pain was proof of that. However, somehow, it looked as good as new.
