As the bodies started dropping around him, he hardly even realized that he was killing people, mostly because he hardly even registered them as such. To him, they were enemies that might try to kill him if he did not kill them first. Because he had already allowed some of them to live, he already felt like he was being gracious. He was a Shinobi, and all of the people that were with him in the structure had made the decision to turn to a life of crime willingly. More so, there was no telling how many people the pirates had killed through the years, and that was on all of them.
One of the things he did not notice either was the fact that his hands were no longer shaking from all the killing and the cold. Slowly but surely, his body and mind had started adapting to both as they gave everything a spot of their own in the back of his subconscious. By giving things a place, it was going to be a lot easier for him to get over all of the things he had done here today once the dust settled and he got to shut down his Shinobi mode and go back to being a normal human. That said, now that he had crossed the threshold, he wondered if there was such a thing as going back.
When he severed the spine of the first ruffian of the day, he had barely even registered it at all as he acted almost purely out of instinct. He saw that the man was going to kill Juuro, someone he still needed to take care of the people of the Port. In response, he had dropped down from the ceiling and crashed with every ounce of his weight into the back of the man, applying all of that momentum to his blade in order to slice straight through his spine and throat, pinning him to the table in the process. Even though it was fresh on his mind in some way, he could not afford to dwell on such things, and couldn’t do it now even if he wanted to.
