Chizu walked along the dirt trail causally, silently taking in the peacefulness of the mid-morning day. It was a pretty nice day too, the wind was gentle for once and and didn’t blow her long bangs all over her face, the trees the peaked out from above the buildings was rich in color due to the coming of fall, bright oranges and reds already starting to break from the trees and find a new land to litter. There was still plenty of life hanging about too for that matter, people walked along the streets, either doing their morning workouts or heading for work, and the animals seemed to be out doing their thing too. Chizu herself had already spent the first half of the morning doing light training, not learning anything new really, but just the basic warm ups, stretches, and going through both her weapon and unarmed katas. The child was quite the early bird herself, she wakes up at 5:30 am religiously, and goes to bed at 1 to 2 am at the latest. Sure that wasn’t too much sleep she was getting, but she usually was so busy throughout the day and night that she doesn’t have much time to sleep. Her body had become pretty used to it, whether that's a good thing or not is to be seen.

Besides that, the child did have something on her agenda for today, awhile back she had just remembered that Harue invited her over to her house to play. The girl had honestly been so busy that she hadn’t really had the chance to act on the offer, until now that is. Today was the first free day she had in weeks, and she didn’t want to spend all of it training for once. She trains enough as it is and just wants to take some time to lean back and have fun, maybe she could take some singing lessons or go to the new band’s concert thats coming up soon.


The girl pause for a second, staring blankly at the road ahead.

When was the last time she went to a concert anyways? 1, or like 2 years ago?

Geez, she needs to get back in the scene, just imagine all the latest fashion trends she’s been missing just working all day! That wont do at all.

With her mind made up on going to more concerts and street parties, just to catch the new designs, the girl resumed her walking towards where she vaguely new Harue’s new home was. She had never been their herself, so she was pretty excited to spend more time with Harue outside of missions and all that shiz. She wondered what kind of games they could play, or what sort of things Harue could show her. Chizu gripped the large bag she held in her hand harder, mind flowing through all the fun she could have today with a friend beside her.

Speaking of her bag, the girl thought it would be great to bring some home made goodies with her. So she packed a large grocery bag full of containers of taste treats. She made some cookies, chocolate chip and peanut butter, a chocolate pie with a cinnamon swirl in the middle locked in a pie container, some Honey glazed donuts her ma made the day before, and of course some salty snacks like chips, and a bag party mix. She had a few bottles of drinks in their too, just to complete the assortment.

Okay maybe she over packed, but usually when she’s going on an outing to hang out with her friends, there was at least 3 of them all together.

Aside from the bag in her hand, she also had her usual duffle bag over her shoulder, with her hoverboard tucked between the straps. That was the only thing usual about her current outfit too, since she wanted to match the autumn season, she dressed herself in a knee length orange sundress that had a pretty orange to brown gradient on it’s ends. Soft beige leggings that where tucked into a pair of white calf high short heel boots and a white mid-drift jacket that had long billowy sleeves. The only jewellery she had aside from her usual silver pyramid earrings was a small gold choker and a brown headband with gold flowers on the sides, all in all it was a pretty matching outfit for the season isn’t it?

Anyways, Chizu paused once she reached the path that heads towards Harue’s place and thought about how far she had to go for a second, Harue said it was a few miles off, so she may have to jog a little to clear that distance in a timely manner.

Or

She could just use the hoverboard she brought with her for this very reason.

Wasting no more time, the girl let her board slid from it’s confindments and drop onto the ground, activating it silently. Once she stepped on, the girl comfortably rode down the new path, enjoying the floating feeling and wind as she drifted along. It didn’t take her too long to reach the little pocket within the greenery, the sharp eyed child spotting the building through the trees, and once the home was fully in view, the child took the time to appreciate the aesthetics before riding under one of the arched entryways. She looked around for a moment after, humming lightly as she rode up to the front entrance of the house.

Once there, the girl kicked up her board and walked up to the door, knocking without any hesitation. When the pinkette eventual appears, the 10 year old would lift her hand in greeting.

“Yo.”

Not twenty minutes before there comes a knock on her door, Harue had been asleep in bed. Her pink beast is outside sleeping, stretched out in the short grass. He hears the approaching child, smells the familiar scent, far before the pinkette half asleep inside does. He stands to his heavy paws, taking a moment to stretch until his limbs tremble with elasticity, his tongue furling out in a unhinged-jaw yawn. As he approaches the house, he smacks his maw and licks his chops sleepily. Just as Chizu peels through one of the front archways, Ōmo has nudged his way past the front door and into the house, the door closing behind him.

Harue is standing in the kitchen, her back to the framed threshold. Because she's only just got up, she's donned in a loose shirt over her tight-fit tanktop and undergarments, a pair of shorts clinging to her hips and her stockings still pulled all the way over her knobby knees from yesterday. On her feet is a pair of pink, fuzzy slippers to match her messy hair. Simply out of natural habit, she's already tied her Kusagakure Hitai-ate around her neck like jewelry. When she notices that her beast has come to stand at her side, she looks down to him from the dishes she's used at breakfast, nearly done washing them all. She smiles, half sleepily and partly cheerfully, and regards him softly. "Good morning, beautiful boy," she coos, her pink eyes dancing towards him only briefly. "What's up?" The beast, though he doesn't say much or anything at all, turns his gaze around and points his nose - pointedly - through the threshold between kitchen and common area, at the front door. Harue follows his gaze, confusion twisting up her face. Then, the knock comes and Harue's quickly setting the last dish in the basin of the sink, wiping her hands down the front of her loose nightshirt as she crosses the floor. "Oh!" 

When the pinkette opens the door, she's surprised to see Chizu. Not expected, but also not unwelcome, Harue beams giddily once she registers the familiar face as her very own close friend. "Chizu-kun! I wasn't expecting you, welcome to my home!" She slides the door further open, gesturing for Chizu to come in with wide arms and a suddenly booming voice. Immediately, Ōmo is at Harue's side to greet both the familiar girl and the sweet scent of treats. If it weren't for Chizu's new look, Harue might have smelt the sweets and asked to dig in right then and there. She wanted to make a quip about how she can't really call her Chizu-kun anymore now that she's a bit more mature, a bit more stylish as a feminine figure. The sundress and gussied up style is one that Harue admires, taking a moment to reflect on her own lazy day outfit and the curly pink locks that rest around her shoulders, framing her sleepy face like curtains. Regardless, she beams still. "I love your dress! You look great," she gushes, consciously tucking a lock of her pink hair behind a ear. Ōmo nudges at Chizu's bag, where the delicious foods lie in wait, nosing at all the amazing smells. He lets out a warm breath as he stills, the scent wildly evident after a few more eager, quick sniffs. Harue laughs a bit, allowing herself to notice Chizu's accessories finally. She, too, catches a whiff. "Oh, you brought snacks?" Her eyes seem to glitter with appreciation and anticipation.

Chizu nodded softly at Harue’s greeting once the pinkette answered the door, happy to be met with such wide eyes and open arms despite her unannounced drop in. As she stepped inside the home for the first time, the Child let her eyes roam over the large living space, nodding approvingly at the simply and homely colors that made the foundation. The common area was only a tad smaller than the one her home, only by a insignificant amount, and the simpleness of it was a little refreshing compared to the expertly crafted decor that covered every inch of her house. It didn’t remind her constantly that she hasn’t caught up to the skill of her other family members yet, let along ever matching her mother’s expertise. Not that it really bothered her that much, but the change in feel is nice.

The girl stopped her sightseeing to glance calmly at the large beast that took an interest in her bag. She regard the lion curiously for only a second, before reaching out and petting him softly on his head.

“Hello Omo.” she spoke, expression blank as always as she admired the beast for a moment longer before looking over to her friend.

”Thank you, it's one of my favorite Fall dresses, and I have a lot of fall dresses. Also,” She lifted the bag Omo was enjoying smelling to present it to Harue, ”I brought these over just for you, it's quite a bit I’ll admit, I’m too used to bigger outings with my friends. There is a lot of mouths to feed usually, I hope you don’t mind.”

She looked at the other curiously, to see if she did mind at all. She also took the chance to notice the difference between Harue’s casual clothes to her own, the other girl did look quite comfy in her shorts and shirt, she even still wore her Hitai-ate around her neck. The younger’s own was neatly packed away into her duffle bag, since the Child doesn’t really wear it unless she needs identification of her status. On the other hand, Chizu enjoyed looking as fashionable as possible whenever possible, and this includes her days off. She was typical adorned with stylish boyish outfits, dressed like a punk ready to go rock, other times she wore simple seasonal outfits, like dresses and skirts, with pretty jewelry to pull it together. She always wanted to be aesthetically pleasing, something other’s would find nice to look at. Not because she cares about what others think of her, but because she wants to feel good, and looking good made her feel good.

A little extraness isn’t bad, after all.

When the child gives Ōmo a pat, the beast huffs in response to her spoken greeting from his nose and looks to her with calm eyes. He liked this one of Harue's friends; she mirrored his own distant affection and calm aura. His eyelids sag briefly before Harue and Chizu engage in a brief conversation about Chizu's dress choice. Harue really did admire the fashion; it was different from the kid's usual attire. It was breezy and simple.

Harue's eyes seem to glitter a bit when the packaged goods are presented, Ōmo's head picking up in the same instance. He sniffs and so does Harue. Suddenly, she's no longer concerned about the difference between their wardrobes and instead laments the space between the sweets and her stomach. Harue lets out a soft snicker when Chizu mentions there being perhaps too much. "Don't worry," Harue says giddily as she bounds forward, slipping her hands around the bag's bottom, shifting it slightly to see if she can peer inside the bag. "Between Ōmo and me, we can have this scarfed down by the end of the day!"

”Hmph.” She grunted softley at Harue’s statement as she took her bag, kneeling down once the older girl had taken the bag so that she could unstrap her boots. ”I wouldn’t doubt it, but make sure you balance your intake, I don’t want to be responsible if either of you overdose on sugar.” The child slipped out of her boots easily, taking a quick glance over to see if the color was dirtied during her trek here. Which was, unfortunately, unavoidable when your walking in all that dirt in white shoes. The girl held her boots together by the brim as she set them aside, before final walking fully into the room, hand resting on her hips as she twisted a little to watch Harue finish fawning over the goodies.

As stated previously, she had two boxes of cookies on top, chocolate chip and peanut butter, a whole chocolate cinnamon swirl pie just under that, and a bag of Honey donuts mixed in with bags of Chips, drinks and party mixes on the bottom. Everything the child thought of bringing in the short amount of time she planned this.

”I hope everything in there will be to your liking, I had fun baking these with my friends, who all say hi by the way.” She turned away for a second to straighten out her body, ” Some of them wanted to come, but they don’t really know you that well, so I thought against it. Besides, its been awhile since I’ve given you my full attention.” Chizu turned fully to face Harue, crossing her arms loosely.

Completely enthralled by the goodies, Harue steps away slightly while still facing Chizu as the blue one takes to undoing her shoes, though the pinkette is occupied with Ōmo and the sweets. The beast sticks his nose over Harue's arm, resting his head on the crook of her inner elbow to examine the inside with her. Harue snickers a little at Chizu's own remark, and does due to make a note of not overdosing on sugar. At least, on Chizu's watch.

When Chizu was standing again, joining Harue wholly in the main room now, Harue already has one of the honey glazed donuts in her hand, partly eaten. Ōmo lifts his head out of the bag to look up as well, honey glaze matting the fur around his maw. The pinkette smiled and swallowed her mouthful, meaning to say that they all looked beautiful and perfect, but is caught off guard by the mention of Chizu's friends saying hi. Her face turns red, surprised that they remembered her enough to want to help making goodies for her. For a moment, she feels a pang of guilt about being the only one to devour them if they were made by a group, but she supposed this wasn't the entire portion. So instead she only beams and nods. "Well, thank you! And tell them all I say hello, too. But I do have to agree with you, it's been a while since it was just us hangin' out," the older kunoichi says, though near the end of her statement she's begun walking towards the kitchen, talking over her shoulder as she quickly brings the goodies bag in the other room to set them down. When she returns, Ōmo's still nipping at her heels as he sniffs at Harue's half-eaten donut, parting his maw slowly with an audible wet noise. When he closes his mouth, Harue uknowingly brings the donut up with her hands as she gestures as she speaks. "It's been forever, actually! How have you been? You seem... different? Or older, I guess." Harue laughed slightly, though it ends in a high-pitched noise as Ōmo finally, gently, plucks the donut from Harue's hand and gobbles it down in less than a second.

Chizu hmm’s softly, “I am older, I’m 10 now. Plus I’m taller than the last time we met,” to empathize this she slid closer to Harue, till they were almost chest to chest, to make the fact that their heights where nearly equal even more obvious. She only kept that position for a second before taking a step back, resting her weight on one hip as she watched the pinkette casually, “You haven’t changed at all.” The child poked her friend’s bicep with the tip of her finger, just to see if the other had at least gained some muscle since the last time they met.

“Anyways,” she started, “I’ve been doing fine lately, took a break from missions to focus on the family business and training. I’ll admit that I haven’t had much free time at all these past few months, so i’m gonna spend more time on just me and relaxing.” She huffed a little, strolling over to her friends couch and -gracefully might she add- plopping onto it. Chizu leaned back and raised her hand gesture slowly, “I’ve really fallen behind with my hobbies,” she said flatly, “I haven't kept up with any of my favorite bands since I became a shinobi, haven't gone to see and musicals or plays in months, not to mention that all the trending fashions are completely lost on me, which is unacceptable for a fashionista like me.”

“Sure Tetsu kept me in the know for a little while before he started doing more jobs, but the lack of being there personally is negatively affecting my creativity as a seamstress, hence why I’ve pre-ordered passes for the next few upcoming plays and got entry for some new bands a few towns over. In the meantime, I’m gonna spend some time hanging out with all my friends, catch up on their lives and what not.” She let her hand fall onto the backrest, giving Harue a curious look,

“So, how are you lately?”

Ten? Harue almost couldn't believe it - why'd she expected her to be older? Afterall, Harue'd only aged by a year too. But here Chizu was, only ten years old and peaking over the top of Harue's head. Laughing a little when Chizu pokes her, the pinkette flexes for added effect. "Aw, really?" She chides before a snort of amusement. "Well, my hair's getting longer, at least!"

To grieve the loss of her unfinished donut properly, Harue moves into the kitchen seamlessly as Chizu lets out what seems to be a pent up garble of how she's been lately, as if she hadn't been able to talk to anyone about it until now. Or maybe she was just really keen on filling Harue in on the details - but either way, the pinkette smiled favorably as she listened to her oldest friend's voice, happy to lend an open ear. It was nice to know she was having some Chizu-time; if Harue remembered correctly, most of the times they'd ever really hung out was on missions or in training, or through some otherwise laborious means. Chizu was a girl of excellent work ethic, but that seemed to often leave her without much time for fun.

Harue returns to sit on the couch beside Chizu with another sweet, an already half-eaten slice of pie. By the time Chizu asks Harue how she's been, the desert is gone. The pink beast licks idly at the plate as Harue sets it at her feet as she clears her throat. "Me? I'm alright, I suppose. I, uh-" she laughs shortly, folding her hands and lacing her fingers over her knees as she continues. "I recently became the Kusakage's assistant! Well, it's been quite a few months now, but it still feels weird to me to work alongside Lady Yuri..." Harue's afraid of rambling. She perks up a little, straightening her shoulders and sitting back slightly as she regards Chizu with a dreamy smile, still caught in her early morning glow. Ōmo yawns, curling up at her feet beside the polished off plate. "I also... oh!"

Suddenly, Harue bounces to her feet and bobs on her heels momentarily. "I came across something," she starts, visibly considering something in her head before continuing again. "I'm not sure what it is. Wait right here, I think now's as good a time as any to open it!"

With that, the pinkette disappears up the stairs. She's quick, turning into her bedroom and snatching the small, strange capsule she'd received from a village in the country and shooting right back out. When she comes back down the stairs, she has the egg-shaped item in her hand. She presents it to Chizu and Ōmo, but the pink lion huffs, almost as though he were scoffing. Harue laughs a little nervously, knowing how Ōmo feels about the day she'd received the strange thing. "I got it from this woman who called herself a Nekokage. The whole story is really long and kind of stupid, and sort of embarrassing," Harue pauses, her face dusting a soft pink. She didn't really like remembering it all - specifically the way the girl had kissed Harue. "I don't know what's in here, but she gave it to me in good faith. Wanna... open it with me?" Harue grins, her eyelids hooding and her eyebrows shooting up into her long bangs as she searches Chizu's face.

Chizu smoothly crossed her right leg over her other knee, sinking a tad further into the couch until she was completely comfortable. She didn't move as Harue joined her on the thing, only looked in her direction as her friend began to speak about what's going on with HER these past few months, which is to say, productive by the sounds of it. Kage Assistant eh? Chizu could hardly imagine putting so much dedication for their government, but she never really was that attached to being a shinobi of the Village. Not like she choose to become one, after all.

”I don’t think I’ve ever spoken directly to the Kusakage…” she said softly after she heard that, a thoughtful expression on her face, is it appropriate to ask how the kusakage is like? She always did prefer actually meeting the person over second hand knowledge, so she kept that thought to herself.

The child stared off blankly as Harue hastily ran off to get something, some thing she found recently that she didn't know what was? Interesting. Anyways, she waited patiently for her host to come charging down the stairs, holding a...giant egg? That was probably a story, but something tells her it wasn’t a particularly ‘fun’ one, call it a hunch.

Or the face that Harue visibly cringed when she spoke about how she was given the ‘egg’.

”Nekokage… what kind of bullshit is that? Who would call themselves that or follow someone called that?” she muttered quietly, her normal expression making her appear particularly miffed with her words. She shook that thought away, pulling her leg so that it was crossed at the ankle rather than the knee and leaned forward to examine the egg critically.

”Okay, let's see what this thing has inside.”

Though she had a lot to say about the Kusakage, Harue didn't really carry that conversation any further. Yuri was a lot of things in one, but most importantly, she was important to Harue. If anything, she would leave it at that. Instead, after disappearing and reappearing shortly, Harue only beamed at her friend about the strange thing she held. When Chizu expresses her disbelief in what Harue had been through, or her disgust at the nature of it, the pinkette can't help but let out a goofy laugh. Though she doesn't often hear the child mutter such obscene things, she has a feeling it's the sort of thing that rolls off her tongue, judging by how casually she'd sprinkled it in her distasted comment. "Yeah," Harue agrees shortly and precisely. "It was kinda bullshit."

Switching gears in an instant, Harue turns her attention to the egg in her hand. It was sizeable, but not sizeable enough to hold anything more than... well, she didn't know. She had no idea! How did Lunalla say to open it? Twist it? Knock on it three times? That felt the silliest, so she went with it. "Let's!" Harue agrees again in a sing-song voice, rapping her knuckles against the small contraption easily. She counts down in her head with the beat of her fist; 1... 2... 3!

Gloriously, spectacularly... nothing happens. Harue crinkles her nose and turns the small egg over in her hand, examining its other sides for something she might have missed. "Uhh..." She hesitates, then gives it a few more quick knocks. With a grunt, she tries to twist it too, but that is just as pointless. "Um..." Harue narrows her eyes, looking over the egg in her hand at Chizu who still occupies the couch. Her pink beast, previously snoozing beside Chizu's feet, lifts his head suddenly in Harue's peripheral. Though there's a heavy feeling of disappointment in her chest, she looks to Ōmo and tilts her head. His eyes, transfixed, are pointed behind her. "Well that was..."

Turning her cheek to catch the object in Ōmo's gaze, Harue stops suddenly as her eyes move to the kitchen. At first she thought Ōmo was only looking at the bag of treats, and she opens her mouth to ask him what about it, but her eyes widen slightly when she sees the bag rustle and jerk. As if someone is rummaging for their pastries. "Hey." Harue barks, her voice sharp, as she moves quickly into the kitchen. "Hey!" She booms again, grabbing the bag and opening it up. A glimpse of something black, and suddenly it's gone. The new addition to the household teleports swiftly, blinking from the kitchen to the chair adjacent to the couch, leaving Harue to gawk and place the bag angrily back upon the counter.

"Oh! So good!" A cat chides, the delicious pie sitting in her lap as she scoops out pawfuls of its contents. She takes a moment to look from Chizu to Harue, slit eyes pulsing large briefly before she grins at the latter, swallowing a mouthful of the girl's gifted goodies. "Sorry," she says, her tone devoid of remorse or apology. "I haven't eaten in eons!"

The child watched blankly as her friend fiddled with the egg, shaking it, taping it, and even trying to twist the thing to no avail. The girl inwardly sighed, leaning back as Harue failed to figure out how the thing works. She didn’t look away though, she wouldn’t give her the satisfaction of not having her empty eyes watch her blunder, though when the pink beast suddenly came into attention, the girl joined him in staring into the kitchen. Slowly, on of her cyan brows arched up, eyeing the rustling bag with curiosity once Harue finally noticed what was going on being her. The child didn’t bother to get up, letting the pinkette deal with whatever critter was rummaging in her kitchen, mostly cause she wants to see how she would deal with it.

Of course she wasn’t expecting a cat to just pop into existence on the chair next to the couch she was laying on, and while the site was pretty damn odd since she’s sure that Harue doesn’t have a cat-nin or any tiny cat in general, she also can’t say it wasn’t the oddest thing she’s seen. Chize observed the cat calmly, eyeing the sleek black fur and how it was scarfing down the pie she made with such fervor. She only had one thing to comment,

”Pretty Kitty.”

She mutters as a statement, unsurprised when it began to speak right after. Why should she be surprised anyways? Half of her friends are some form of non-human monster anyways, talking cats isn’t anything new. The child raised a hand at the black cat.

”Yo.”

Blinking, not sure if she should believe her eyes, Harue stares oddly at the cat as its large eyes dart between Chizu and the pinkette. "Y-yeah," Harue starts slowly, her face minutely turning from confused and disbelieved to suspicious and wary. "Pretty kitty..."

"Oh, I am pretty! Thank you for noticing," The cat agrees graciously, taking a moment to spread her toes and clean the chocolate and peanut butter from her paw, eyes closed. After Chizu addresses the cat with a (stereotypical of her) 'yo,' Ōmo grunts with a hard exhale from his nose as he gets to his feet. Eyes wide, he stares at the cat, ears perked. Recognizing his stance, Harue swallows thickly and crosses the short space between her and the couch, coming to stand between Ōmo and her new guest, ultimately half way in front of Chizu as well. Until now, the cat had seemed content in cleaning the pie from her claw. Now, with one eye peeled to examine the three, she seems almost bothered. As if they're the intruders upon her relaxation. She cocks her head, apparently done grooming her sweet tooth. She places the pie beside her on the chair, enough room for even 2 more pies to occupy the space with her. She wasn't big at all. "Is staring polite where you were raised?" She asks, her voice an octave too high for the nature of her words. Enthralled, Harue only tilts her head and doesn't avert her gaze. The cat continues. "It must have been more than eons since I've been free if manners have decayed so much. What year is it?" Harue opens her mouth, but the cat interjects. "I don't care, I never did have a sense of the thing. Time, I mean. A construct of perception, all that."

Ōmo moves a step closer, pressing the side of his head into Harue's thigh as he peers around her at the newcomer, nudging Harue's arm so that it rests around his mane. The cat pretends she can't smell his smelly hind and instead focuses on the pinkette, her expression one of toyish fun. Harue blinks, her expression twitching momentarily, almost like she might frown. For a moment, she wants to - her fingers curl at her sides, but she inhales deeply and takes a step forward. She extends her hand to the cat abruptly, leaving the sith to blink awkwardly at the grubby extremity. Curling her lips, whiskers raising with the movement, she looks up at Harue's determined expression. 

"I'm Harue!" She smiles, gesturing her extended hand forward slightly in hopes of a paw accepted the invitation to a greeting. "I'm sorry you were stuck in that thing, I had no idea what was in there. I got it from some woman, she gave you to me as some sort of gift."

Shocked, the cat cranes over to see around Harue at Chizu, as if giving the blue one a disbelieved expression as if she were some sort of audience. "Can you believe this? And I suppose you have a name too, Blue?" Without giving time for Chizu to answer, the cat looks up at Harue. "I'm no gift, Hah-roo. I'm Circe Bloise! A master of the dark arts, the sorcerer's familiar, the mystic mystique! Not a thing to be... gifted!"

Chizu reclined on the couch and scratched the back of her head lightly, ruffling her carefully curled hair. This was certainly a turn of events, of course they unearth some ancient cat thing when she only came over to chill. This better not escalate, see seriously isn’t in the mode for hijinks today, but she trusts Harue’s ability to control the situation, at least a little bit. The child pondered what she should do during this, considering that this kitty was given to Harue by the oddly lady she spoke of, it was in direct relationship to her. She wondered a little, looking up as a few inane thoughts fluttered in her head. What if this lady gave Harue this cat as a trap? So that when she opens it she would be attacked? Not that likely, since now that the cat wasted its surprise factor on eating pie instead of attacking, and they are aware that its not normal. Perhaps the lady trapped the cat and passed it off to Harue so she doesn’t have to deal with her anymore? Possible, but still silly.

”Chizu.”

The child stated blankly as she stood, deciding that she was going to need some tea to get through this. She had brought some in the assortment of drinks she gifted, so wandered off to grab that and return to the couch at a casual pace. She wasn’t relaxed of course, she was a shinobi in the room with an unknown after all, it is hard not be ready in some form. She plopped back into the couch and took a drink from her tea.

Harue was at a loss for words, and Chizu seemed to be much more fed up with the situation already than either of the other three where. While the youngest girl is in the kitchen, Harue and Circe are left to stare awkwardly at each other silently. Listening to the sounds of Chizu make tea, and then her shuffling return, Harue doesn't take her eyes off of Circe, and Circe the same. Her large, observant eyes seem to look directly into Harue, past her skin and her bone and to her core. Finally, the pinkette grimaces. What an oddball cat.

"Uh..." Harue wavers in her stance, her shoulders pointed down now as she rolls her weight around on one of her legs. Ōmo looks away from Circe finally too, but it's because his attention is drawn to Harue's suddenly large movements. She gestures wildly with her arms, a bit nervous. "Right. Circe Bloise... I didn't mean that I consider you a gift..." Her off-pink eyes land on Circe again before she blinks a little, waiting for a change in the black cat's expression. Harue narrows her eyes. "I only meant that Lunalla gave me a device, and never implied to me that you were in it." Harue steps closer, much to Circe's distaste. The cat clambers to her feet, standing erect. It only throws Harue off momentarily, her next approaching step hesitant. "You're okay. I'm okay. Ōmo's okay..." Harue looks over her shoulder towards Chizu. She never knew if that girl was okay or just tolerant. "Chizu is... okay."

Smiling, Harue looks back over Circe, standing apparently too close, but for her it's a sign of familiarity. For Circe, it seems to be an invasion of personal space. "You can still be a sorcerer's familiar, too. I dabble!"

Silence envelopes for a long time, until Circe finally relents and sighs. "...'Kay," she says anticlimactically, resting her body back on four legs before she jumps daintily from her seat. "Listen, Hah-roo, if I'm your hostage to this Lunalla," Circe speaks the name with disdain, as if she knows the face behind it, but feigns ignorance. Harue opens her mouth to correct the cat, but the feline continues seamlessly. "Then we need to get a few things straight. I only accompany you when I want to. And I'll hardly want to." She continues, taking to pacing the area and examining it. "And your base is going to need a bit of maintenance, a lot of construction, maybe an expansion... Oh, and this will have to go." She stops momentarily beside Ōmo, gracing him only a single look of disgust before she turns her rear on him, tracing her tail under his nose. He huffs, shaking his head and jerking the front of his body backwards, onto his forepaws. He looks to Harue, annoyance painted over his face. The pinkette only blinks, gawking slightly.

Harue frowns, tilting her head. "Um... no?"

Chizu crossed her rested her right ankle on her knee and leaned her palm against, drinking her tea slowly as Harue interacted with the haughty feline. She didn't have any particular input to add on this odd situation, since she knew neither about sorcery or the typical animal companion reactions, she only knew that if she continued to watch this that she'd get bored fast. She took another sip and leaned back, then started to think about something more fun to do, she DID come over to play with Harue, but she can't play if the pinkette is busy getting bossed around by a random cat that quickly seemed to take the throne of the house.

She dug in her bag for a second, pulling out a sketchpad she keeps on hand, then waited a few minutes until she saw an opportunity to interject.Once she found one, she stood up and slowly walked up to Harue. She reached over and tugged on her older friend's sleeve, looking at her with her clear cyan eyes, a cute gesture if she wasn't such a giant.

"Harue," She started, "Can we do something else now? I wanted to show you some of my new Autumn Designs, and a lot of other stuff too." She tugged again on her sleeve, a soft gentle tug though, she didn't want to pull her over or damage her shirt. After all, she didn't want to ruin any clothes no matter how casual they are, its just in bad taste in her option.

Harue was, quite honestly, allowing this pussy cat to get her panties in a twist. She opens her mouth to say something else to the entitled feline, but as soon as the pinkette feels the gentle tug on her sleeve her mood shifts again. She remembers that Chizu is here, that Chizu is young despite towering over Harue, so much so that Harue looks down reflexively at the gesture. Her eyes dance up from Chizu's knees to her eyes, finding the sincerity in them too endearing to shrug off. She smiles and nods, allowing the second tug to motorize her feet. She guides or allows herself to be guided back to the couch, where she settles and takes to completely ignoring the cat. Circe is, of course, offended by the sudden dip in Harue's undivided attention, but the newfound freedom is preferable. Instead of antagonizing further, she begins to sniff around the house much like a common house cat genuinely, though she's not unaware of the juxtaposition. She just needs to scope out the new home - after all, however unbeknownst to Harue, she was bound to whomever broke her seal.

Harue, focused on Chizu finally, taps the notepad. "I'm excited to see what you have," she's saying, a hint of curiosity lacing her newly gentle voice. She wonders offhandedly if she'd also shown her mother, who'd seemed just as fashionable as her daughter. "You have such nice taste!" It wasn't flattery - Harue genuinely felt a twang of envy towards how the child dressed and perceived fashion. Even though she was such a tomboy on the surface, her fondness of the cute and pretty ran as deep as Harue's.

Recently, Harue'd received a strange book, referred to as a 'tome', from the hosts of the Badger. At first she didn't think much of it, but the less she thought about it the more her third eye sought it. Wondering if it might be valuable in at least any slightest, she curls up with it in her library and gives it a thumb through.

Pulling down a random book from her shelf, Harue began to read. Judging by the introduction on the first page, she assumed it was on the topic of Mountain regions. Looking over the small map, it seemed as though what qualified as a 'Mountain Region' was far more than just mountains themselves. She knew of several 'mountains', the peaks of which she could see from her own land. Or were those far away mountains only hills?

Mountain Regions seemed to 'exist' in quite a few neighboring countries, but not Grass. In fact, Grass had very little in terms of 'terrain type.' It was most unappealing to her that one of the few was Swamp, but she supposed it was indicative of a witch to live in a swamp.

Even though mountains weren't indigenous to Kusa and its land didn't mean she'd never find herself in a country where the dangers of this region could affect her, so she didn't put the book down. The book itself seemed to go into particular detail about the wildlife of the Mountain region and much of their habitats.

Although Hare wasn't interested in the particularly nonlethal ones only because she would never bother them, she supposed it was best to read up on them anyways. There were a few cute ones, like skunks and monkey types, and a few that were frequent in most places or even just her own home land.

What she was most interested in were indeed the more dangerous species, though she supposed just by looking further into the book that some of even the most dangerous creatures roaming the mountain regions were incredibly cute. Some even adorable, but nothing compared to her own pink steed. Yet there were some species of his brethren, but they seemed to be specifically referred to as 'Mountain Lions' anyway.

Looking at the pictures, they were simply bald and giant house cats to Harue. Excited, she shows the picture to Ōmo, who'd been sleeping peacefully until now at her feet. He seems disinterested upon gazing at the open book, but Harue goes on to read aloud the passage to him.
