'Looks like it's time again. I wonder what I will find this time' thought the female. She had just entered the forest.
Marii was wearing her Jounin uniform. Her field pack was strapped on the back.

'I hope I get to see some of the Kumogakure shinobis. We're always busy doing our thing' hoped the young woman. She walked down the main path.
A fresh breeze made her ponytail whip in the air. The Raikage could hear birds singing in the trees as well.

'Oh well. At least the weather is nice' observed the female. She felt a smile form on her face.
Today was going to be an interesting day. Especially since there might be more Kumogakure shinobis out here.

A gamboge grotto opened before the renown shinobi Ranmaru as he entered the forest regions of Kaminari. He wore no weaponry on his side or back, yet had his entire black battle-ready-armor on. The tactical vest slots had been empty, as he had come here for a leisurely stroll alongside the Raikage. Seeing that this hadn't been too serious an affair, Lady Marii dressed in her jounin garb. It had been a rewarding thing to walk alongside the village leader in this time of hiatus.

"Lady Marii, how long have you served as Raikage?" Ranmaru inquired. Since he had hardly paid attention to the current affairs of village leadership, he figured this as good a time as any to ask some random questions.

"Lady Marii, how long have you served as Raikage?" inquired the male. She was about to answer when she heard someone approached her.
A disheveled man mumbling about giant hamsters was right behind them. Marii was getting bad vibes from this guy.

She stepped aside before he passed them. The young woman noticed a piece of paper falling out of his pockets. Curiosity got the better of her.
The Raikage picked up the piece of paper and read it. 'Looks like a recipe of some kind' thought the female.

She turned her attention back to the younger male. "I have been Raikage for about...four or five years now. Are you taking on the Chuunins this year?" replied the brunette.
The young woman laid the recipe inside her field pack. Something like this would definitely be useful later on.

[Ryutatsu "Sakurai Sword"]

Ryutatsu walked into the forest to observe the crazy weird things that were suppose to be coming out of it. Spotting the Kage and Genin, he walked over to them but politely stood to one side as the Genin asked her a question. The mumbling man from nowhere and the screaming woman also from nowhere both intrigued him. This wasn't his first observance of such events, but the last main one was at a celebration of a Goddess that Loki had invited him to. "My Lady is there a celebration or something happening nearby?" Ryu asked of his Kage, that could explain some of the weirdness that started.

During the interim, Ranmaru had recovered three flasks of dubious oils from a deranged woman who spoke of the walking dead. In this stretch of time, another figure crossed the silhouette threshold into observable view. He had been near identical to the child of Saigou, yet was also shorter than the prestigious descendant. After the Raikage answered his question, Ranmaru turned his attention towards the doppelganger.

"Hello, I'm Saigou Ranmaru," the genin looked him over a while longer; "Sorry, my Lady," he said, returning his attention to the Lightning Shadow. "I won't be attending the Chuunin Exams, I have several pending quests to do first."

Marii:
033. A music box! It just sits there, playing your theme song. Nothing really special other than the fact that this music box, plays a song you desire. It seems to grant no effect other than entertainment for those that take part in its overall use. Careful investigation shows that it is actually a device playing a holodisk. — 1x Holodisk

Ryu:

Thunderboi:
023. A short man with a large beard walks up to you. "Here, it's not perfect but it's useful," he said handing you a 2-handed weapon before disappearing. — User's choice of 1 Masterwork 2-handed weapon.

The female raised her eyebrows when she saw a familiar person approach them. "My Lady, is there a celebration or something happening nearby?" inquired the younger male.
"Not that I know of. But something strange usually happens here every other year. Looks like this year is no exception" replied Marii.

She suddenly heard some melody playing nearby. The young woman looked around while the Genin introduced himself. 'AHA!' thought the Raikage when she saw the device.
It laid on the ground next to a birch tree. She picked it up after making sure it was not dangerous.

However, this item was not a music player at all. It looked like something that could store information. The brunette laid the item in her field pack.
She approached the group right afterwards. They appeared to be all right so far.

"Sorry, my Lady, I won't be attending the Chuunin Exams. I have several pending quests to do first" told Ranmaru. "May I ask what kind of quests these are?" inquired Marii.
Ranmaru had recently returned from a long trip in Kaminari no Kuni. Was he looking for something or someone special?

Kimi flashed through the trees as he made his way into the forest. He was supposed to be locating a group of ninjas in this off forest. As he came across the clearing he smiled as he saw the Kage and Ryu. As he neared the edge of the clearing he then slowed as he jumped down beside Ryu. "So what's all going on here?" Kimi asked as his feet touched the ground.

A dwarf with a thick beard appeared from the surrounding foliage and produced a rather large axe before Ranmaru. The genin looked at the weapon and could instantly tell that this had been of a masterful craft; he thanked the man for such a random gift and dragged its hefty blade against the forest floor.

Ranmaru would explain to the Raikage that he had many missions to still complete, and also that he needed to focus on his taijutsu training. He would not be seeing any Chuunin Exam for at least a year’s time. “I would enjoy sticking around Kumogakure and helping you with any assignment, Raikage-sama.”

Just then, as if a moth drawn to an electrical flame, another Cloud ninja sprang from the background. This was beginning to become a volatile situation. Ranmaru greeted him with a stiff wave.

034. A forest nymph appears from a nearby tree, She embraces you, saying something in a language you do not understand before turning into a flutter of leaves and floating away. She left behind a gem though. — Treant’s Gall

Thera:
022. Screaming a man runs at you, ramming a device with a needle into your behind. He tries to pull the trigger but since the device is not loaded nothing happens. Before you ask, yes, the rolls for Thunderboi and Thera were identical. Never happened to me before, yet it happened.

The female noticed someone approach them. Fortunately, she knew who it was. "So what's all going on here?" asked the male.
"We are investigating some odd events. They happen every other year" answered Marii.

The other male greeted his fellow shinobi with a stiff wave. Suddenly, the young woman saw a rather unusual creature. It looked like a fairy from a fantasy book.
The Raikage went into a battle ready stance when the creature approached her. Fairies were notorious for being mischievous.

However, this creature only gave her a soft embrace. 'What is she saying?' thought the female when she heard the fairy speak. The fantasy creature then transformed into a flutter of leaves.
'Hm? What is that?' thought the brunette when she saw something sparkling on the ground.

She bent down to pick up the item. It appeared to be a moss green stone of some sort. 'I'll keep this for later' decided the young woman.
She laid the item in the bottom of her field back. Just a second later, a split scream cut through the silence.

Marii spun on her heel while her chakra stirred. Two men suddenly disappeared into thin air.
"Whoa...THAT is not something you see every day. Are you all right?" asked Marii. She was looking at the younger Genins with a concerned expression.

Ryutatsu's reactions to the unexplained events wasn't that of confusion or shock but so much as curiosity. "This seems a lot like a celebration that I witnessed with Shiki Senri and his consort. Though they were not even dating at the time. " Ryu spoke aloud more for the benefit of the three others. He acknowledged though that his star pupil and fellow dojo trainer Kimi was there. Kimi might be a Genin but together they had gained great strength. "Kimi, how have you been it's been a while since our last training session. My Lady, Kimi here has been one of my strongest pupils. " Ryutatsu didn't realize they were actually related.

Ryu:

The female let out a sigh of relief. Her shinobis appeared to be just fine. "This seems a lot like a celebration that I witnessed with Shiki Senri and his consort. Though they were not even dating at the time" replied the younger male. His remark made her raise an eyebrow in wonder.

"You know the solution to hooking up with your crush? Your date has to be a blast!" whispered a voice. Marii spun around, just to get something pushed into her hands.
Her eyes widened when she realized what it was. 'Better put that away so they don't go off!' thought the young woman.

"Kimi, how have you been? It's been a while since our last training session. My Lady, Kimi here has been one of my strongest pupils." informed Ryutatsu.
"Really now? I am glad to hear you're taking care of him Ryutatsu-kun" replied the Raikage.

Ryutatsu's ears went a little read with embarrassment. He figured and always had figured it was his job to take care of his fellow Shinobi. Honor dictated that one take care of their allies. It wasn't anything personal, but then few knew that part of him. Only his inner heart and those of the Land of Caw that he had dashed pass know how little he actually cared for people in general. "Thank you, My Lady. He had been one of my first students. "

"That is true, Ryu has been a great help in increasing my hand to hand. Plus he forged me my pairs of sickles. They have been a life saver many a times." Kimi smiled as he listened to the ongoing conversation. He didn't talk about his family much at all, he didnt want anyone to pity him.

He was a different person from who he was then to who he is now. That pity would be missed placed. If he had been as strong as he was now then he wpuld have stopped her. But that was a thought for a differwnt time all together.

She smiled when she saw how the male reacted. "Thank you, my Lady. He had been one of my first students." informed Ryutatsu.
"That is true, Ryu has been a great help in increasing my hand to hand. Plus he forged me my pairs of sickles. They have been a life saver many a times." told the other guy.

The female gave them a genuine smile. She felt so delighted to see two of her Genins getting along.
"I hope you two keep up the good work. I think you two would make an awes-". THUD!

Marii spun around to see what fell behind her. It appeared to be a book of some sort. 'What kind of book is that?' wondered the young woman.
The title was "Lesser Experience Tome". She decided to store it for later use.

The Raikage laid the book in the back of her field pack. "So, have you two found any amazing items so far?" inquired the female. Her ice blue eyes were looking at the two males.
It was odd that items appeared like this in an ordinary forest. Then again, many of them were useful for shinobis.
