Flowers in the Desert (Token Event)

The group moved somewhat together, exploring the desert looking for clues of any kind, tracks - victims,even the putrid smell carried by the wind would be a good indicator of the enemy's position.  At least, if there were more zombies they were sure they would notice b efore getting ambushed. What the twins were afraid of were the bandits, not afraid for their safery, but for the others

- they did not know the exact strenght of the other ninjas but they could not take for granted that they would be able to defend themselves, and it was their duty as suna ninjas - a s the right hand of the kage - to  ensure that would not happen, not on their watch. They made sure to heck every possible direction, check every single grain of sand looking for clues that might prevent them from getting ambushed. They were on their highest state of alert.

Meanwhile they also began observing their new team mates - trying to discern their capabilities, their attitudes the way they would react or think in a certain situation, this would help them to aleviate or even completly prevent  some of the things that  could go wrong if a fight were to break out due to the group being attacked. The longer the group walked the closer they got to the old road.

[Madame Loki]

Loki continued to hid her presence while watching the group continuing to move through the desert as she tracked the location of the Necromancer. She let out a yawn as she laid her back on the staff that she she was using to fly through the air. She looked up into the sky as she moved her Staff towards the direction of the unmistakable smell of dead flesh. She sighed as she relayed her information to Nex mentally, who used her own sense of smell to track down the exact direction.

Loki hummed softly to herself, as she more or less ignored the groups danger, leaving them to Nex. She was far more interested in studying their bloodlines. SO the more danger they got into the better it would be for her, to take mental notes of what each of their bloodlines could do. The twins where less appealing, as she already had such a bloodline in her Coven, and had studied them thoroughly. At best these sand twins could be used as verification of the information she had already gathered. However, the sandman... she didn't have much information on them. Not yet.

Banking a sharp left from the group when no real question came from them would turn Zeki back toward the desert. Climbing once again to reach a more comfortable height to scan the desert below in search of his current prey. Once he was high in the sky once more the Sadojin would slip down the goggles again and use the zoom function to scan the ground below him, looking for any sign of movement that he could detect. It was more to keep things interesting than a perfect method of searching though, as there were frequent distractions in the form of wildlife and such.

Like right now he detected something was buried in the sand a few dozen meters in front of the group. So he angled down toward it while hitting top speed, only pulling up when he was around ten meters from the ground. His goggles would switch to x-ray vision to determine what was below him, in this case just another buried reptile, before he would turn the x-ray off. Then he would climb back up to his original height before starting the whole process over again.

Ukko walked slowly with the twins on top of her, they would often merge and split right a fter just to pass the time. There were no enemies in sight, no change in the climate either. They decided that interaction with the others was ncessary in order to survive this boredom that could be just as deadly if not more than a group of bandits attacking them all of a sudden.

"So zeki, tell us about yourself - where are you from, and what has brought you here to our lands?" The twins spoke in unison, while looking at the man that seemed to have the same age as them. He has a peculiar bloodline that they had not seen before, only heard or read about in books.While they waited for his answer, Aldritch moved his hand through his long blonde hair, showing off a tattoo he had on the back of his shaved head.

Gwyn , wasnt that interested in him, so instead she decided to play with Ukko's braids ,poking her and just playing around - Ukko understood that she only did that when she felt tremendously bored. It w asnt the same for her, she was enjoying the ride, the fight - after all she was still rather new to both the fight sscene and this sandy enviroment, so very far from her native home.

Isamu watched the twins merging and unmerging. He had only met one other Dioskouri. The pair of twins who he had fought in the duel at Seisui. The blood he had spilled that day had only been the first drop in the flood that followed. The ability was extremely curious to him and he hoped to learn more. The twins asked Zeki about his origins and Isamu looked to him, curious about his answer. The Sadojin had told him that he hadn't had any contact with the clan. That had certainly piqued Isamu's curiosity though he had not inquired further.

As Isamu moved his gaze up towards Zeki his eyes caught something on the horizon. Another Giant Zombie swaying back and forth. Isamu held up his hand. "I've got another one. Looks like a similar trap." Isamu scanned the horizon further, "If the necromancer is observing us. Learning about us from each trap." Isamu paused, "Then logically we should endeavor to hold back, only show the cards we have already shown. Until they can push us further." Isamu waited for his teammates to give feedback. The creatures might be unfamiliar to him, but strategy and tactics were not.

While waiting for ziki's answer the twins spotted shadows moving behind a rock formation thirty meters in the distance. A smile formed on Gwyn's face, she had enough of waiting and wanted to get in on some action. The zombie horde seemed like a black putrid undead cloud - moving toward them at a decent speed, trampling those poor unfortunate zombies that tripped due to the sand, clearly their movements were somewhat sluggish.

A quick  serie of handseals from both twins unleashed a barrage of force missiles, killing dozens of undeads - each of the missiles managed o find its target accurately, hitting their heads and making it explode. Joyous screams could be heard throughout the desert, gwyn was clearly having alot of fun annhilating these monsters.

[Ranzu]

"I am from the land of stone, and hunting the undead brought me here if I am honest. It is sort of a hobby I pursue from time to time to pass the time." Zeki answers the twin's question on a pass of the group, only to be pointed out that another giant zombie was in the distance by Isamu. Looking over with his goggles he finds that to be true and shoots off into the sky to gain the height advantage once again.

Once he was high enough in the sky to peer down at the mass of zombies again did he turn his goggles x-ray vision on to look more closely at the trap. It seemed to be replica of the first one down to a t, which was a bit surprising to the Sadojin. Perhaps there were more to this traps than meets the eye? Either way Zeki would hold out his hand once more and launch chakra missiles from it which would impact against a zombie's head with unerring accuracy. Soon he was culling the number of zombies quite expediently.

Isamu opted not to approach from under the ground. The zombies beneath the sand presented an unnecessary risk. Besides, his attacks as a sixteen foot giant had proven to be sloppier and required cleanup. It would be much simpler to begin with the sword this time. As the twins and Zeki began their ranged attacks Isamu drew his sword, pressing the switch once more, and charged forward a long the ground.

Isamu closed the ground fast and drove the point of his sword through the skull of the first zombie he met. Isamu's blade sizzled as it passed through the skull and a putrid combination of rotten and burning flesh filled the air. Isamu's blade left the zombie's head through its temple. The red hot steel flashed up in the air and fell on the crown of another zombie. Isamu moved quickly to another zombie before the horde could begin to react. Another zombie fell and then another one; but for every zombie that fell another two clawed their way from the sand to take its place.

Zeki raised his hand as another bolt of pure chakra launched from it, impacting against the head of the nearest zombie with a wet splat sound. While he could perhaps use sand jutsu against the zombies to kill them quicker and easier, he did not want to give up his trump card so easily. He had already used some sand jutsu, true, but that effected things below the sand and the Sadojin did not know how the nercomancer was watching them if they even were.

So Zeki just flew around the battlefield, picking off targets here and there. He wasn't the fastest nor the flashiest but at least he was getting the job done quickly. Though he kept part of his focus on zombies that were climbing out of the sand, thinking about whether or not he should finish them off before they got to the surface. It's not like his comrades were really threatened by them anyways...

The zombies had to be at least twice more than the previous group. Clearly the one behind this recognized the power of his enemies and decided to send more of his troops, a wise choice - sadly for him no matter how many zombies he sent they were not going to be a problem. the twins decided to fuse once more , uniting their power into one vessel - following a quick serie of handseals, a huge fireball shot out from them incenerating the zombies in a line.

The fire was so intense only ashes  and silence were left in its path, and thats when they heard it. A very loud scream,forcing the zombies to halt their attack and regroup , as if they were ordered to. Suddently huge hole opened up in the desert, a vortex of wind and death. it sucked up everything including some of the unfortunate zombies that were not quick enough to follow the orders. Something huge was down that hole, and as the  seconds passed a titan  sized hand emerged from it clinging onto the sand, trying to climb up.

Isamu's blade sung in the air and quenched itself in the dried flesh that pressed around him. The sand around Isamu raised to block the press of the corpses and dropped as they were returned to death by his blade. Even with Isamu's skill it was slow work. It would have been faster to turn the sand and bury the horde or to cut them down with the wind, but then he would tip his hand. If the necromancer couldn't come up with something more creative then Isamu wouldn't either.

As if their hidden foe had heard Isamu's thoughts a loud screech echoed through the air. The zombies fell back at the call pressing back together. Then the hole opened, consuming the ground as the sand was pulled in to the ground. As the sand rushed by him Isamu floated up in the air buoyed by his chakra. The zombies around him were swept backwards. Isamu shouted out to his teammates, "What is this?"

Zeki was about twenty meters in the air above the battlefield, firing bolts of pure chakra down upon it, when the strange call went into the air. Seeing the hole open and that it was sucking down air the Sadojin banked away from it order to not be affected by the winds. Once he was a saw enough distance away did he look back at the hole to note the huge hand that came out of it.

It seemed that this was not quite the same trap as before. The presumed necromancer must have set this one up with them in mind if there was something like this around. But that was all the more reason not to use anymore tricks he had, as it was clear that the hidden foe had someway to spy upon them. So Zeki just hanged back, waiting for the moment to strike.

Isamu held himself motionless in the air as the sand and wind blew all around him. A huge shape was rising out of the sand. Isamu stared at the monstrous shape pulling itself out of the desert. This was some other monstrosity. None of his teammates had answered his question. Either their hands were full or they didn't know. The only thing for it was to try and take this thing down.

Isamu slammed back on to the ground and formed handseals. The creature's head had crested the pit and Isamu knew he had to prevent it from escaping. Eighteen tendrils of sand burst from the edge of the pit. The ends were sharp and they flew into the giant's head, anchoring it to the ground. The beast let out a might roar straining against its bonds. The roar triggered something in the other zombies and they streamed forward charging at the assembled shinobi.
