Able Learner
Rank: "C"
Skill: Social Trait
Effect: The user has great aptitude for learning.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: When learning a skill, the skill states how many times a die roll may be applied to show how much they learned within that skill. Example, when a user learns "Botany" they gain 5 die rolls. This "trait" increases the amount of die rolls by 1.5 rounded to the highest number at 1 die roll per learning, however any number higher than 1 die roll is rounded down. For example: User learns Botany and gains 5 die rolls. With this Trait they will gain 7 die rolls. However if a user learns Lockpicking they normally get 1 die roll, however with this Trait they will gain 2 die rolls.
Limit: Must start with Character; replaces 2 Freebies.
Will of Men, The
Rank: "C"
Skill: Faith Trait

Once per day per class level, the user may teleport 3 meters per Class Level in any direction. The blink teleport may be used in the air or underwater, but it doesn't teleport the user through or into solid spaces unless the user is incorporeal. This brief teleportation takes a weaving movement to use but is an instantaneous action. This trait replaces 2 Freebies.
Limit: Must start with Character; replaces 2 Freebies.
Focused Study
Rank: "C"
Skill: Social Trait
Effect: A trait that automatically increases the rank of a Skill per Class Level up to "B" Class Level.
Special: ---

At "D" Class, "C" Class, and "B" Class, such humans gain +20 bonus in a skill of their choice as a bonus technique (User may Choose the same, or a different Skill per Class Level). This trait replaces 1 Freebies.
Limit: Must start with Character; replaces 1 Freebies.

Ancestors of the Dokkalfar gain low-light vision, and thus can see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light. The Dokkalfar gain resistance to Necrotic damage equal to 2 per Class Level. A number of times per day equal to their Class Points, the user may infuse their weapon or a single Jutsu to deal Necrotic Damage. This effect lasts for 5 rounds per Class Level. [Academia Skills]
[30]Society
Rank: "E"
Skill: Skill Set/Suite
Effect: User understands the people and systems that make civilization run, and they know the historical events that made societies that they are today.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Relevant Abilities: Various. Skills in Skill Suite: Current Affairs, Ancient History, Local History. Die Rolls: 5 Die Roll. Check Requirement: Various. User understands the people and systems that make civilization run, and they know the historical events that made societies that they are today. Society can be used to Education Checks on the inhabitants of a region, important personalities, royalty, noble lineages, historical events, customs, legends, and laws. The Skills associated with Society are Current Affairs (Academia Skill), Ancient History (Academia Skill), and Local History (Academia Skill). User must learn Local History multiple times to gain multiple subtypes.
Limit: Must learn from Skills.
125(Base): + 15(Luck) + 20(Resounding Ground, Greater Permanent Morale) + 10(Intelligence) + 30(Skill Focus) = 200
Local History (Yuki no Kuni): + 20(Street Smarts) = 220
Current Affairs: = 200
Ancient History: = 200
[60]Chakra Lore
Rank: "D"
Skill: Jutsu Lore Skill
Effect: Chakra Lore can be used to gather knowledge on Chakra related topics.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Relevant Abilities: Intelligence Skill. Die Rolls: 5 Die Rolls. Check Requirement: Normal. This discipline of study explores the theoretical constructs of Chakra, though it does not teach actual mechanics of Jutsu performing. Jutsu Performing and Chakra Lore are related to each other much like engineering and pure science. That is, Jutsu Performing is all about applying basic Chakra principals to demonstrate uses. A junior Jutsu Performer is much like an amateur tinkerer. They know little (if any) theory but has some measure of practical experience—sufficient to deal with the elementary challenges of low-level Jutsus. As they progress in experience, their additional theoretical training allows them to perform progressively more complex Jutsus. As they reach higher levels, even if they have not specifically undertaken to study Chakra Lore, they have sufficient training to comprehend and use relatively complex Chakra theory. However, if the user wishes to ever be anything more than a Jutsu lobber, additional training is recommended. Some practical applications of Chakra Lore follow:
Limit: Must learn from Skills.
125(Base) + 15(Luck) + 20(Resounding Ground, Greater Permanent Morale) + 10(Intelligence) = 170
[40]Lore, Undead
Rank: "E"
Skill: Academia Skill
Effect: The user with this skill can identify the undead. The user can identify inscriptions on crypts, coffins and other undead haunts as well.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Relevant Abilities: Intelligence Skill. Die Rolls: 5 Die Rolls. Check Requirement: Described. A person versed in the lore of the undead understands the basic principles behind souls, spirits, the afterlife, and godly vengeance against unworthy mortal upstarts. User can recognize markings related to spirits and undead, though the user does not gain any automatic understanding of it, and the user knows how certain Jutsus interact with the realm of the undead. The user can identify inscriptions on crypts, coffins and other undead haunts as well. The user only needs to learn this skill once to encompass all regions. Each Undead has an Identification Difficulty found in their description. User must beat their Difficulty in order to identify the Undead. If the user succeeds they know what the undead is and what yields they can produce. If the user fails by 20 or less they do not gain any knowledge of the undead and are unable to try again. If the user fails by 21 or more they will gain false information, like a different undead.
Limit: Must learn from Skills. Must know Chakra Lore or Divine Lore.
125(Base) + 15(Luck) + 20(Resounding Ground, Greater Permanent Morale) + 10(Intelligence) = 170
[Communication Skills]
[360]Ancient/Dead Languages (Truespeech)
Rank: "D"
Skill: Skill
Effect: Languages no longer spoken by large groups of people.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Relevant Abilities: Intelligence Skill. Die Rolls: 1 Die Roll. Check Requirement: Never. Languages are always undergoing changes, modified by time or distance. Over centuries, some transform to such a degree that they can be said to be a separate, distinct language, while others are wiped out with their speakers in the blink of an eye by catastrophic events. A language is considered truly dead if it no longer has a stable, living population of native speakers, even if written records of it still exists, scholars still study it, and certain immortal or undead individuals still speak it. The character with this skill has learned to speak a particular language. A successful skill check indicates that the character is able to speak and understand the language, while a failed skill check means that the user has forgotten the correct words –or cannot understand the words. For convenience's sake, the user can use the chart below to judge the level of communication possible by the character. Below are Ancient/Dead languages spoken around the world:
Truespeech: While not a language per-se, truespeech is a Chakra form of communication possessed by angels, and celestials, which allows them to speak with any creature that possesses a language. Truespeech is also spoken by the undead personifications of death known as Grim Reapers. This extraordinary tongue is the language of the universe itself but speakers still cannot unlock the power. They cannot understand other languages as Angels and Celestials does. As such, even the most brilliant scholar of his generation can only understand and speak the slightest fraction of Truespeech's full vocabulary, for the language demands a familiarity with concepts that one man born in one era of one race simply cannot fathom.
Limit: Must learn from Skills.

Jump Good: + 20(Burglar) + 100 (Spring Bone Jump) + 20(Acrobatic) = 360
Swim Good: = 220
[90]Awareness
Rank: "E"
Skill: Skill Set/Suite
Effect: The acuity of the user's senses allows them to notice fine details, see danger coming, and tell when people are lying or otherwise behaving suspiciously.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Relevant Abilities: Perception. Skills in Skill Suite: Observation, and Sense Motive. Die Rolls: 1 Die Roll. Check Requirement: Game Master/Described. The acuity of the user's senses allows them to notice fine details, see danger coming, and tell when people are lying or otherwise behaving suspiciously. The functions of this skill is discern secret messages, get hunches, notice creatures and details, search locations, sense enchantments, and sense motives. The Skills associated with Awareness are Observation (Sophisticated Skill), and Sense Motive (Sophisticated Skill).
Limit: Must learn from Skills.

[90]Influence
Rank: "E"
Skill: Skill Set/Suite
Effect: User can manipulate other people through negotiation, deceit, or intimidation.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---

Change others’ attitudes, create diversions, demoralize, feint in combat, gather information, intimidate, lie, make requests, pass secret messages. The Skills associated with Influence are Acting (Sophisticated Skill), Intimidate (Sophisticated Skill), Persuasion (Sophisticated Skill).
Limit: Must learn from Skills.
125(Base): + 15(Luck) + 15(Charisma) + 45(Skillful) + 60(Focused Study) + 20(Resounding Ground, Greater Permanent Morale) + 30(Skill Focus) = 310

[180]Stealth
Rank: "E"
Skill: Sophisticated Skill
Effect: User is skilled at avoiding detection, allowing the user to slip past foes or strike from an unseen position. This skill covers hiding and moving silently.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Relevant Abilities: Agility Skill. Die Rolls: 1 Die Roll. Check Requirement: Always. Opposed: Observation. An individual or creature uses this skill to hide from a casual observer using available concealment and/or cover. In essence, they try to remain motionless and crouched down or prone, so as not to draw attention. Unless the user hides behind total concealment, however, the user may still be visible to the careful observer. This skill also allows a character to move without being heard, a successful check avoids drawing the attention of observers and thus the user can sneak past them if not in their line of sight. Some practical applications of Stealth follow:
Limit: Must learn from Skills.
125(Base) + 15(Luck) + 25(Agility) + 20(Resounding Ground, Greater Permanent Morale) + 10(Agility) + 30(Skill Focus) + 20(Stealthy) + 20(Burglar) = 265
[80]Tracking
Rank: "D"
Skill: Sophisticated Skill
Effect: User excels at following trails and tracks left by others.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Relevant Abilities: Perception Skill. Die Rolls: 5 Die Rolls. Check Requirement: Described. Characters use this skill to follow the trail of animals and other persons. Simply put, a successful Tracking check means the character found a trail, while failure means they did not. If the character fails this initial skill check, they can attempt another Tracking check - provided that they spend at least 30 minutes attempting to pick up the trail again. If the user fails this second check, the user simply cannot find that particular trail. After finding a trail, further checks may be necessary depending on the situation. Darkness, falling rain/snow, a dust storm, moving from one terrain to another (such as from sand to rock), one trail splitting into two or crossing water are examples why a character might need another Tracking check. Some practical applications of Tracking follow:
Limit: Must learn from Skills.

Head – Hair a white like pure snow, freshly fallen, a memory of a perfect winter’s day. It cascades down his back, spilling over his shoulders, framing his face, the longest of his hair to end at the base of his tailbone. It is light and healthy, a sheen to it that draws the eye, soothing in a way. Oddly, it catches the colors reflected on it from the light. His eyes are green, like clear emerald crystal, but as if a light is brightly shone behind the crystal. In the dark they glow dully, a trick of the eye so to speak, reflecting what little light there may be and causing the phenomena. Like crystal they are hard, frozen like the lands he protects, the eyes of a man who has seen the death of hundreds, caused the death of hundreds.
A pleasant blend of masculine and feminine features makes up his face, beautiful to look upon, a man so handsome that he has been labeled beautiful by others; never by himself. A masculine nose that is not too long or short, not to wide and not too small, above perfect sized lips that fit the shape of his face perfectly. Well sized ears, fair unblemished skin that has never seen acne, and perfectly shaped white eyebrows over well shaped and spaced eyes. Even his teeth are extremely healthy, white and unstained, without a single tooth out of place to create a perfect smile; although one he rarely shows. There are no signs of aging on his face at all, not a single wrinkle, a product of his Kaguya blood.
Body – The first thought that comes to mind is ‘tall’. Sekitan is by no means exceptionally tall like some, just traditionally tall, well above the heads of most ninja, save the odd ones and twos that seem to appear. Although he is so tall, there are no deformities due to his growth, retaining a body that matches the size that he is. Rare for this height, his musculature is very prominent, showcasing his strength in a way that most at this height cannot manage due to the stretched nature of their muscles. Powerful chest, broad shoulders, muscled abdomen, arms, calloused hands, muscled thighs and calves show the hard work of one that frequents the battlefield with the blade more than mind or chakra.
Clothes – Samurai-esque white ceramic pauldrons cover his shoulders and part of his chest and back, double layered for mobility without losing protective quality, held to his body by leather straps that go under the armpit and across his chest. These pauldrons are part of a leather long coat, worn open down to the waist, then held by buckles, left open as below the waist as well for mobility, and a collar that is always ‘popped’. A large black leather belt is worn slanted across his hips, the silver buckle large with the symbol for Yukigakure no Sato upon it. His chest is bare otherwise, although he does wear a type of abdomen armor, made of leather to protect those organs that are more easily damaged.
Black grip gloves adorn both hands, ceramic bangles on either wrist, which covers the end portion of the coats long leather sleeves. Black cloth pants on his legs, made to both insulate and ventilate depending on the temperature, a relaxed fit that allows for mobility as well. The ends are tucked into high black leather boots, buckles up the side of the boot end at the top just before the calf muscle, while the toe and heel of the boots are metal and rigid on the bottoms, allowing for better gripping of surfaces that are slick.

Expressively Haughty (e.g., acts in an arrogant, supercilious, pompous, and disdainful manner, flouting conventional rules of shared social living, viewing them as naive or inapplicable to self; reveals a careless disregard for personal integrity and a self-important indifference to the rights of others).
Admirable Self-Image (e.g., believes self to be meritorious, special, if not unique, deserving of great admiration, and acting in a grandiose or self-assured manner, often without commensurate achievements; has a sense of high self-worth, despite being seen by others as egotistic, inconsiderate, and arrogant).
Contrived Object-Relations (e.g., internalized representations are composed far more than usual of illusory and changing memories of past relationships; unacceptable drives and conflicts are readily refashioned as the need arises, as are others often simulated and pretentious).
Insouciant Mood-Temperament (e.g., manifests a general air of nonchalance, imperturbability, and feigned tranquility; appears coolly unimpressionable or buoyantly optimistic, except when narcissistic confidence is shaken, at which time either rage, shame, or emptiness is briefly displayed).
Expressively Disciplined (e.g., maintains a regulated, highly structured and strictly organized life; perfectionism interferes with decision-making and task completion).
Interpersonally Respectful (e.g., exhibits unusual adherence to social conventions and proprieties, as well as being scrupulous and over conscientious about matters of morality and ethics; prefers polite, formal and correct personal relationships, usually insisting that subordinates adhere to personally established rules and methods).
Constricted Cognitive Style (e.g., constructs world in terms of rules, regulations, schedules and hierarchies; is rigid, stubborn, and indecisive and notably upset by unfamiliar or novel ideas and customs).
Concealed Object-Relations (e.g., only those internalized representations, with their associated inner affects and attitudes that can be socially approved, are allowed conscious awareness or behavioral expression; as a result, actions and memories are highly regulated, forbidden impulses sequestered and tightly bound, personal and social conflicts defensively denied, kept from awareness, maintained under stringent control).
Reaction Formation Regulatory Mechanism (e.g., repeatedly presents positive thoughts and socially commendable behaviors that are diametrically opposite one's deeper contrary and forbidden feelings; displays reasonableness and maturity when faced with circumstances that evoke anger or dismay in others).
Compartmentalized Morphologic Organization (e.g., morphologic structures are rigidly organized in a tightly consolidated system that is clearly partitioned into numerous, distinct and segregated constellations of drive, memory, and cognition, with few open channels to permit interplay among these components).
Solemn Mood-Temperament (e.g., is unrelaxed, tense, joyless and grim; restrains warm feelings and keeps most emotions under tight control).
Interpersonally Abrasive (e.g., reveals satisfaction in intimidating, coercing and humiliating others; regularly expresses verbally abusive and derisive social commentary, as well as exhibiting vicious, if not physically brutal behavior).
Combative Self-Image (e.g., is proud to characterize self as assertively competitive, as well as vigorously energetic and militantly hardheaded; values aspects of self that present pugnacious, domineering and power-oriented image).
Pernicious Object-Relations (e.g., internalized representations of the past are distinguished by early relationships that have generated strongly driven aggressive energies and malicious attitudes, as well as by a contrasting paucity of sentimental memories, tender affects, internal conflicts, shame or guilt feelings).
Isolation Regulatory Mechanism (e.g., can be cold-blooded and remarkably detached from an awareness of the impact of own destructive acts; views objects of violation impersonally, as symbols of devalued groups devoid of human sensibilities).

[Saiden Coal, Saiden Hebasai, Saiden Haiiro, Genkaku Houkou - Siblings]
[Kaigaiden Shaolin - Sensei]
Birth and Childhood
Twins were birthed into a world of havoc, chaos, and fire. Saiden Byukyaku, the Villain, the Immortal, the Evil of the Shinobi World, the Father, the man who loved his family, and the Geneticist. An’ei Setsuya, the Mother, the Assistant, the Biologist, the woman who loved her family. These were the parents of the twins, Saiden Coal, An’ei Sekitan, and their older brother Haiiro. A younger half brother would be born later, Genkaku Houkou, but that is another story. Chaos was destroying their home, the mansion, the laboratory, southeast or Moon on an unnamed island. The coalition of Shinobi had found them and attacked, the guards were doing their best, but they could not hold forever. Finally, the fires raged almost outside of the doors to their chambers, Byukyaku and Setsuya stood, giving the orphans to separate personal guards that whisked the children away with their names upon necklaces, and they left the chambers to fight the coalition. They were not seen or heard from again and the boys were separated…
An’ei Sekitan was a quiet child as he grew, living in foster care within the borders of Shimo no Kuni, growing and playing within one of the many research labs. The shinobi who had saved him from the fate of death died in this very country, having exhausted himself to that point in order to reach these lands, and that is when the researchers discovered him on their steps. A baby Kaguya. His foster parents were Katsuo and Ishima, somewhat loving foster parents, but they paid more attention to their science than their foster child. Indebted to Byukyaku for the ability to perform science at all, they cared for the child enough to keep him alive and entertained, although they also used him for experiments. They would study the Kaguya blood within his body, the bones and the marrow, even his own chakra to determine how to become ageless. They wished for that same immortality granted to so few. As the years passed, Sekitan grew darker in demeanor, more hateful of people due to these very experiments on his body, the pain that they caused.
At the age of six, he was able to control the manifestations of his powers, at least enough to make use of them. It was then that they began working on him in earnest to attempt to create a super soldier, to enhance his bloodlimit, draw him to the brink of overdrive and unlock a new Path. They failed in a way they had never anticipated. Sekitan was human and humans desire freedom, he was no different, and he worked toward that goal until one day it came to fruition. They had forgot that he had a human intelligence, the intelligence of his mother and the ruthlessness of his father. The research center was ill-prepared for his escape, the death toll was enormous as he made his way out, leaving a bath of blood in his wake and the heads of his foster parents. A mechanism for sanity, his mind wiped itself clean, and he wandered until he found a new home and made a new life for himself in Nagi no Kuni.
Orphan: Academy of Life
A woman had found the Sekitan face down in the grass unconscious, she was an indentured servant for the Head of the Kageji Village in Nagi no Kuni, as the Head of the village had saved her life before. She was determined to repay the debt. The woman began to raise him, a necklace with the words An’ei Sekitan his only possession, beyond the rags on his body that acted as clothing. The Head of the household had a son as well, Saiden Coal, and the two of them became quick friends, almost like brothers as others would remark. These days were the best days, the healing days, that brought Sekitan back from the brink and toward humanity once again. As he grew, he found he could do things that he had forgotten, a bone protruding from his wrist one day, to which he told his mother. What am I, he would ask her, curious as to why he could do it but Coal could not. She turned from him then, her own silver hair shimmering in the afternoon sun, before answering in her own way. A bone would protrude from her back like a spike. She told him the story of her own home, how she was royalty among the Kaguya, how she loved a man who was powerful beyond measure. She told of his heart, how he tried to do good, but the world viewed him as evil and hunted him. She told of the Lord who had saved her from death and the debt. Sekitan could feel she was always keeping something from him. He never asked.
Soon he and Coal chose their own paths, although truth be told, they were chosen for the boys. When the Lord of the house died, Coal was sent to Kaze no Kuni, to become a shinobi of Sunagakure no Sato, as his father had instructed. It was tradition or some such, but Sekitan was sent to Kusagakure no Sato to train to be a shinobi, his mother still owing the life debt that could never be repaid now, serving the Kageji family for the rest of her life. Leaving her to her fate as she wished, Sekitan made his way to the village hidden in the grass, where he would learn the ways of the Shinobi. Only eight, he had grand dreams, but no idea where his path was going to take him.
The academy was a rough place to train, to live, and to learn. As a lesser village, they trained harder than anyone, because they lacked the raw talent the major villages could command. Sekitan was no different, although he trained harder than the others, as a deterrent toward the bulling children were prone to do. Hardening his exterior, he encased himself in a shell of cold feeling, a detachedness that was his armor against the world. Still, through it all he made time for his hobby, raising plants and flowers in his room. Soon he was growing plants with his own chakra, a tough ability to learn, especially as a child. Prodigy they called him, but he was no such thing, as a prodigy would be able to do everything in his mind. No, he just loved plants and that drove him to learn. Graduation came and he was raised to Genin, where his true life would begin.
Shinobi: Genin of Kusa
Mission after mission, he and his team would outperform the other Genin teams, only two others, working hard for the glory of Kusagakure no Sato. Day in and day out he would train, they would train, they would drill, and they would get better. They were the best there was in Kusa, a corps founded by Kaigaiden Shaolin, the Kage at the time, and she molded them into blades for the village. The Shinobi Hunter Unit Black Ops, S.H.U.B.O. Genkaku Akegana and Doje Zenji were his partners, Shaolin their team leader, and they were powerful. However, there comes a time when things must end, when the darkness is too dark, even for the night. Akegana passed the Chuunin Exams, Doje and Sekitan were not allowed to participate just yet, as she was a year their senior, and soon after S.H.U.B.O was passed to her.
The numbers had grown quickly over the years, this elite unit was now and elite squadron, thirty strong, hunting down the criminals of Kusa and those that crossed its borders. Akegana was ruthless in this regard, no quarter and no mercy, not even for those she knew personally. Soon Sekitan’s number would come up, a mission gone wrong, and an attempted betrayal. The three were on mission, along with a new addition to the team, all falling under Akegana as the new team leader. They were in the Land of River, hunting a powerful Nukenin, Saiden Haiiro. Three teams had him cornered, we stormed his hideout on an island between the rivers, all was going according to plan. That is when Akegana turned, almost the same time Shaolin fell to Haiiro.
Doje went down next, then the recruit, a river of blood to be added to the land. Haiiro escaped, the teams were decimated, only Sekitan and Akegana remained. She attacked, lightning fast, too powerful to be natural. Something Haiiro had done to her, but reflex saved Sekitan as the blade only passed his side from her strike from the shadows. Summoning a wall of wood, he ran, escaping the building and crossing the river before Akegana found him. They fought on the water and land, the battle raging while a silver haired Haiiro watched, so alike Coal that it was startling. Perhaps it was luck, but Sekitan incapacitated her, yet before he could strike her down Haiiro interfered. Blasted away, he fled to lick his wounds, but they did not follow him. Where could he possibly go? North was his only thought.
Nukenin: The Hunted
Constantly, the Shinobi of Kusa hounded him, attacking when he rested, attacking while he moved, ate, slept. It did not matter, but he slaughtered them all. Day after day, week after week of combat, few places to hide that provided any kind of rest. The Land of Grass was the worst, passing through had been brazen of him, but he passed through alive, although not unharmed. By the time he made it to the Land of Waterfall, his left arm could not be used, and he had a very visible limp. Resting in a cave behind one of the many waterfalls of the land, he tried to catch his breath, heal a bit, and a few weeks passed there.
One day another entered his hidden cave, someone he knew, but not someone that wished to kill him. Saiden Coal, his friend from the Kageji manor house. Coal was chasing something, someone, the same man that Sekitan was fleeing. The boy, now a young man, claimed that Haiiro was his brother, that he was a Saiden, and that Sekitan was his brother as well, a paternal twin. What could all that mean? Where did all of this information come from? Who was Byukyaku? He warned Coal of the dangers of going after Haiiro, the sheer power of the man, but Coal left him a few days later regardless. Still, at least he gave Sekitan a concoction that sped his healing, allowing him to leave as well and continue. He was not strong enough to help Coal, not to mention he did not know where his brother had gone, instead he continued to travel toward a new home.
Eventually he arrived in Yuki no Kuni, as far away as he could get, without venturing into the unknown through the Kaminari no Kuni. Washed up on the shore, starving and incoherent, the shinobi of Yuki no Kuni found him and took him in. They were far removed from the business of the mainland at the time, a solitary ninja village that wished for power, but they could not obtain it at their level and pace. Once he was healthy again, Sekitan began to train them, a debt he owed to these people, and in turn they came to accept him as one of their own. Eventually, he was honored with a headband, the bounty on his head never lifted, but the village provided a protection for him in order to allow him to grow. Growing is exactly what he did, exploring the power of the Kaguya blood, what he could do with the Wood Release, and expanding his own Martial and Ninjutsu prowess. Soon, he was allowed to go to the Chuunin Exams. He passed with very minimal difficulty.
Chuunin: The Next Step
Being a Chuunin was the next step toward power, but also his next step toward leadership, given a small team of his own to run and nurture into power. They were not anything overly special, but he helped them grow nonetheless, becoming powerful shinobi. Only one of them died in combat, a battle with the rival Kononohagakure no Sato, the Village Hidden in the Leaves. The day was hot, and they had gotten too close to the border chasing down the runaway Sabratina, ending her before she could reach the sanctuary of the Hidden Leaf. It was then that they attacked, a group following a Shinobi named Shiro, a leaf headband displayed upon him. They were able to fend this group off and escape, but one lost their life in the process, and Sekitan swore vengeance on the Leaf a hundred-fold. Years later, Shiro and his group broke from the Leaf Village, Sekitan ripped the Leaf Village apart with a forest of bone and found some time later that Shiro had died far removed. The vengeance would stay.
Byukyaku: Father
A message, mysterious in nature, arriving by a bird made of shadows. It merely stated, ‘Come see me – Byukyaku.’ At the bottom were coordinates, coordinates that were not on a map of the lands he knew, but the unknown lands, the unknown ocean. Coal found him as well, on the rocky shore of Yuki no Kuni’s north face, and the two of them set sail into the unknowable. Three nights passed before they finally found the island on the dawn of the fourth day, coming ashore on a land made entirely of crystal, yet somehow able to support life. Another boat was there as well, one that both Sekitan and Coal recognized, their older brother Haiiro.
In the center of the island was a house, small, built for two. Outside were two others, Haiiro being one, and another silver haired man that was more beast, chained to a metal rod driven deep in a crystal boulder. The man looked like a lizard of some kind, scales in patches over his body like armor, clawed hands, and a tail. He was huge and powerful, but docile for the moment. A booming voice from the doorway brought him back to the task at hand. ‘I see you met your younger brother Hebasai. Technically he’s your half-brother, since he’s made from only my DNA, and a little science.’ They were forced to fight on that island, Sekitan and Coal against Haiiro, who wanted to kill Hebasai and their father, in the end Haiiro and Byukyaku did not leave that island, but for different reasons. Sekitan freed Hebasai, the creation that was their brother diving into the waters without a boat and swimming toward their homelands.
Perhaps Byukyaku died on that island from the injuries he received from Haiiro, at least Sekitan likes to think so, but he never knew as he never returned, burning the note his father used to fetch him.
Jounin: Echelons Above
Kaminari no Kuni was on the rise, thinking they could take what they want, speak how they wished to whomever with no consequences. They came to Snow, two of them, and they challenged Yukigakure no Sato brazenly. It was Sekitan’s turn to move now, to repay part of his debt to the village for taking him in, for caring for him when others could not or would not. He struck them down and dragged their corpses back to their village, impaling them on spikes of bone before their own gates, and challenged all of Kaminari no Kuni alone to come and face him. None came. They cowered behind their walls in fear of him, so he destroyed those walls, ruined the buildings of the village, a message to the other has been Major Villages that he was not to be trifled with. His power brought him greater responsibility, which he gladly took on, becoming what he would soon be known as. The First True Kage of Yukigakure no Sato.
The Peak: The First True Kage
His reign as Kage was long, as far as Kages go these days, but it brought chaos. The needed chaos for change. It also brought fear and respect from the other villages, prestige, and pride to a village that had been unknown for the most part for so long. Sekitan changed the very landscape of Yuki no Kuni, bringing life when there was only snow and ice, and bringing economy to a village that was mostly self-sustaining. It was during his time that another of the major villages would challenge him, the famous and infamous Konohagakure no Sato. So, the rising was beginning again, but Sekitan would quell that in short order.
Boldly, he strode into the village alone, passing genin that were so frightened that they fled the village and hid in the countryside. Boot falls inside the tower, a receptionist dead, two chuunin cut in twine, and up he went. Eventually he found himself before the Kage, Kagetora, his eyes fixed on the man and rage passing through his body like a stream of frozen fire. He would send a message, one that all villages would hear, one that could not be misinterpreted. He would kill what the Kages sought to protect if they ever stood against him again. The bones erupted from his body, they filled the tower, spikes exploding from every direction, spreading through the village in every direction as well. Anything within the area was dead, only the Kage lived, allowed to see the devastation of his village and his failure to protect what he swore to protect. Then he was gone, out of the village, leaving it to repair itself and lick its wounds, leaving it to tell the world that he was not to be trifled with again.
The rest of his reign was peaceful and prosperous, his shinobi growing and thriving, a few even coming to be trained by him. Those that came went on to do great things, but that peace did not last.
Answers: The Death of Haiiro
Fortunately, he had made his home outside of the village with his wife, a young dark-haired woman who was also a shinobi. Haiiro had come knocking, loudly, destroying the front end of his castle villa. There was madness in his eyes and rage, something had taken over the man, and he attacked. Sekitan fought with all of his might, sustaining so many injuries, on the brink of death from a man that was his older brother. There was something he had to protect though, something too precious to allow a monster like Haiiro to touch, and with the last of his strength he struck out. It only took a moment, but Haiiro dropped to one knee, a bone run through his heart, resembling a nodachi in all ways, and then Sekitan collapsed. Upon waking, he found himself in the healing tank, his wife dutifully watching over him, holding a bundle in her arms. Their daughter. His wife coughed as he exited the pod, handing him Ura Kara, then coughed again and then died before her body could even hit the ground.
Ura Kara: Precious Daughter
She grew so fast, but that is the way of children, at least to the eyes of the parent. He held her in his arms before the grave of her mother, his wife, An’ei Kaiya. He never told her the name of her mother, instead he would teach her, and he told her that if she ever wanted to know, she would just need to visit the grave site. Kara never did, just like she never cried, she was much too strong for that. Her martial prowess showed so much promise, the path clear that she would surpass him one day, and he felt pride he had never felt before. Life has surprises though, the biggest was her love of science and healing, although she never trained to heal the Shinobi way, preferring machines to ninjutsu. She was barely fifteen when she had to put her father in the tank.
The Tank: Rejuvenation
Many years had passed since the Kaguya began to evolve, he along with that generation, his body becoming younger somehow while he floated in the tank. Kara was a grown, he could see that through the glass of the tank, her body having been able to adapt quickly to the changes that all Kaguya had faced. While she seemed to have stopped aging at twenty-one, he seemed to stop in his thirties, although he was nearly sixty years in age. Just what was this new evolution of the Kaguya to yield? The old were supposed to die with it, that much was certain, from the way his body reacted to the change that nearly killed him. Now he was healing, soon he would return to the world, a world changed by so much.
Rebirth: The Return in the New Age
The door of his tank have finally opened and he steps free…[/ul][/font]
