Aoi stood in a clearing, her eyes closed, holding the boar hand seal. She had been standing like this for almost seven hours now, listening, waiting. She was training in a new technique, one that would make her a more dangerous opponent in low light or no vision conditions. The wind blew gently around her, slightly blowing the kimono she wore. The cold bite to the wind did not bother her, she was very adept at ignoring enviromental annoyances, something she picked up from long periods of training out her in the forest clearing. A twig snapped, as well as the bushes rustling, Aoi quickly spun on her heel and released a Senbon in the direction of the noise. As soon as the needle disappeared into the bushes the noise ceased. "Let's see what I got this time..." said Aoi as she made her way over to the bush and parted it...
As she parted the foliage her eyes drifted over the paralyzed body of her victim, a small fox. The needle protruded from it's spine, stopping it's ability to move any of the muscles in it's body. "So cute, yet you just had to pass by the wrong girl" she said with a smile as she removed the needle and picked the creature up. For some reason it was not startled, only curious, it soon began to nudge her face. Aoi would have smiled here if she was truly capable of it anymore, but that fact was that she had lost this ability long ago, it would take a miracle for someone to pull a smile from her. "Get out of here or I'll have to finish you..." she said to the fox as she set it down and resumed her training, holding the boar handseal once more she closed her eyes and began to listen to the world around her.
A few feet away, in another clearing she could hear the sounds of someone else training. The grunts, explosions and the clang of metal against bark, against metal reached her ears. This made her curious, however she could not allow herself to be distracted, she had to stay with her training to learn this jutsu. She could hear his screams, the sound of his clothing swishing as he moved in his training, she could indeed tell this was a man by the deep tone of his grunts when he failed to complete the task at hand. Taking a break, Aoi silently crept over to the other clearing, watching this man train. His body shined with sweat as he trained in the breeze air, the sun blazing overhead. "Just who is he?" she wondered as she closed her eyes, held the boar hand seal once more and let her ears take over. "One, two, three" he counted quietly beneath his breath, her ears able to hear exactly what he was saying. "Push yourself Yuki, you won't be a loser anymore" he muttered under his breath. Her eyes opened once more, she decided it was time for a break so instead she remained silent in the shadows until the sun had started to set, at this point the man had walked off leaving her to sit all alone under the shade of a very large tree.
