Identity

The emotions that spiders evoke are greater than those of most other creatures. Even a small spider has made powerful men tremble in terror. I wonder why? Is it perhaps an instinctive reaction of men to the fact that female spiders are often stronger and larger than their male mates in nature? Or is it, perhaps, that men know the female spider eats her mate?

Stellaluna is stoic, serious, cold, and detached. In addition to not smiling often, she doesn't seem to have a sense of humour. She is the type of woman who is often forgotten or not noticed until the last minute. For her lack of humour, she has admitted that she is not "good with feelings" and has even considered herself unpredictable, if not a little complicated. When it comes to arrogant and insufferable people lacking morals and self-respect, she usually doesn't suffer fools gladly. She did not always appear cold and detached but rather had ordinary infancy with healthy moods and behaviours. However, on the other hand, disownment can change a character. Experiencing abandonment, she was on the verge of eliminating every last element of her emotional life. When she realized that if she did so, she would become empty. As a kunoichi, it would be a useful weapon to possess, but her life would be lonely, so deep down she is still emotional, but overall there is little emotion in her. Stellaluna is very headstrong and stubborn, even to a fault, refusing to walk away during suspicious activity or until the task at hand has been completed. She is also fiercely independent, which sometimes reaches a point where she ignores even life-threatening injuries, such as falling unconscious from blood loss or not eating when her body screams for nourishment. Her attitude stems from her sufferable upbringing into a hardened warrior and overall survival. In addition to her skewed sense of justice, Stellaluna lacks empathy for the people she considers her enemies. It can be attributed to training and general survival, as she believed that "you can only rely on yourself because no one else will". Even upon learning the truth about her disownment, she still refuses to admit fault or to feel guilty for the many she murdered during her time under Lady Volupia's rule, technically she was following orders. Nonetheless, when a call for action is required, she can lay down every last bit of her reliability to whoever orders her, and in this way, making it easier for her to achieve dangerous, abhorrent, or unethical missions. In most cases, Stellaluna will not hesitate to kill weaker opponents, even if they could be incapacitated or avoided. She shows no remorse for her actions. She can choose to be cold and never show signs of guilt or remorse, or she can kill quickly and get it over with. Despite her stony exterior, she is not completely apathetic. Instead, she tends to become distressed and violent when those she cares about are threatened, injured or killed. She has even shown a degree of morality; she takes care to avoid collateral damage in her fights when forced to engage an enemy in public. She can be genuinely affectionate and warm to those of her immediate circle and would shower them with some form of love. But overall, her affections may hold sadness.

To examine life from a more philosophical perspective, she realized that everything was already planned for her. Not only that, but her schooling within the academy, and under Lady Volupia, had taught her everything she needed to know about becoming a kunoichi, including a strong mind, body, and spirit. But curtain self-rule guides her despite the teachings:

‘despite one, two or maybe a whole group of people, when together, form a sort of bond that will lead to predestined results, that your fate is determined not by those who are superior, but by others, your friends, your rivals, whoever you may find yourself speaking with. You must choose your words carefully, your friends with care, your enemies with caution, for you may never know who may or may not be the death of you.’

Authoritative

As an officer and assassin in the past, she had been raised to give orders and to be a leader. To give an example instead of being made of one. Her tone of voice is usually gentle, polite, conceited and calm; however, when she speaks, there might be an edge suggesting the lack of tolerance toward only disagreements. She would not put up with any excuses and she hates having her time wasted. Despite the urges to lead, she is not known to yell, even if she loses her temper. The bite in her tone is evident enough to get the message across. Her posture is always straight-backed and confident. You won’t find her slouching.

Cold | Critical

Stellaluna has strong emotions but isn’t quite sure what to do with them. So as a result, she comes or cold tempered, stoic and detached and somewhat unempathetic. She is also self-reliant and stubborn to the core. Being self-reliant shows a healthy level of self-confidence and capability, which she does not lack. However, by this, she comes across as controlling to some and frustrating to others. But with her cold persona, most people who don’t know her will intend to not like her at all. With high standards, she is not shy about it. In a way, people may feel that she is cruel, but the way she sees things; "the truth hurts" and she is just the messenger. Stellaluna does not hesitate to offer criticism when it is deserved, she is very straight to the point and does not necessarily want to hear anyone's excuses for not living up to her standards. If she feels that people are in the way of a particular goal, she tends to move forward and use people in order to get her own way. Regardless of one's feelings.

Gentle | Abrasive

Despite her authoritative or cold manner, she could be rather gentle toward people she cares about. But only on rare occasions. For those who took the time to get to know her, and visa versa, one would describe her to at least understand basic kindness, which in time might become genuine. But only in rare occurrences. She wouldn’t be described as friendly or mean, as she is the kind of person who can be a bit of both at the same time. Only if the relationship has been formed for a while and not at first sight. She is also sensitive, when she wants to be. The meaning behind gentle can be interpreted in different ways. However, she is accustomed to rubbing people the wrong way; it is simply what happens whenever she expresses her opinions. In her opinion, there is nothing wrong with being argumentative, even if it comes off cold. She doesn't have a "live and let live" kind of attitude when it comes to other people whose opinions clash with hers. She does not see a reason to give the benefit of the doubt to someone who is just plain wrong. So in short, she speaks in her mind and doesn't care how her words are worded.

Organised

Stellaluna is a very organized woman. Inwardly, she plans her upcoming events and prepares for them prior to their date. She likes to ensure that she is well organised and prepped for any situation as invasions and attacks are always unpredictable. Over the years, she has developed a disorder similar to an obsessive-compulsive disorder, which leaves her fussing about small, unimportant things like a shinobi standing a little too forward than the rest. This often leaves her open to attacks at times as she calculates every movement with precision and will be bothered if it is done incorrectly. This also applies to general things like what she will wear for the next day, her battle outfits, how her weaponry will be positioned on her body and setting up tasks for her comrades or teammates whilst out of the village. She likes to know that everything is in its place; it is somehow empowering to her to know that the world around her is neat and assembled. For her, schedules and timelines are a great way to stay on track, and ticking off one's goal on a list is something that brings great happiness to her. Having a ‘clean, orderly desk’ is a sign that a person doesn't have enough to do. She believes that just because she likes things organized, doesn't mean that everything has to be spic and span.

Patient

During her childhood, she has always had a knack for patience. She loves to analyse a situation before moving forward. When training, she likes to repeat her tasks from different angles so that she can study the best way to use the technique to her advantage. She listens to people she believes will benefit her somehow and is patient with those who may disagree with her ways of thinking and behaviour. Although she is not overly fond of children, she is patient and gentle toward them but will avoid them as much as possible. Seeing this as a weakness, she does not describe her personality in fear that it will be used against her however, she can use this trait to infuriate a person, or simply to aid herself in anything.

Ambitious

Rules do not matter to her, as she often feels that she is above them. In this type of world, she is willing to do whatever it takes to get ahead, even if it means stepping on toes. Stellaluna does not see the point in treating everyone with respect or being absolutely honest and fair. If a pathway is clear to her, she doesn't care if she sometimes has to bend the rules just to excel ahead.

Countenance

"Will I ever be as beautiful as you, elder sister?" I blurted out.
Venustiana gave me a cool look. "No," she simply stated. "You're far too common. And slender. I suppose your skin is sufficient. And your hair is quite thick. But look at that nose! It protrudes like a tree branch. And your face is all angles. A lover would cut himself on your cheekbones if he tried to caress your face. Father once said that his grandmother resembled you. It's a good thing she did because I doubt he'd believe you were his daughter."

The beauty in moonlight is just like the blooming epithelium.
She is ethereal and stunning.

The beauty of Stellaluna is of celestial quality. In the moonlight, she has an almost translucent alabaster-white complexion that encompasses muscular smoothness beneath long, willowy limbs; she has a slim, petite figure with an hourglass body shape. Despite the absence of scars or birthmarks, her skin is flawless and angelic. She easily maintains an even complexion thanks to sunscreen and a healthy skin remedy. While she is proud of her skin and her sharp features, her pride and joy is her hair, which is silver-white and very straight and long, just like Rapunzel's.

Contrary to Rapunzel's hair length, Stellaluna's never reaches the ground, but flows near the lower leg, near the ankle, and despite the strands near the ends, her hair is thick and split-end free. Nevertheless, her long hair gives the illusion that her hair touches the ground. Her hair is near-constantly up in a hairstyle. Casually, her hair is shown flowing long or knotted into a top knot; it is either split into two sections and branching out on both sides, or it is arranged curly with loops on either side or even bangs. However, the most popular casual hairstyle is flowing down, held in a low ponytail at the back, with the bangs tucked behind the ears and thin flowing locks falling down the shoulders. Her hairstyles are equally creative for formal occasions: long, flowing traditional hairstyles held in place with golden clips or two thin ponytails held together by a bun. Battle hair is usually a long ponytail tied at the back that flows past the waist. Easy and unobtrusive.

Silver hair scatters down on the shoulder, full of brilliancy and dignity.

Startling blue coloured eyes, jewelled like, which change shape as her emotion does. The shape, permanently upturned and not the common almond shape, can appear soft and caring or confused for empty; or they can appear narrowed and cold, concentrated or angered. With the power of makeup, her eyes can appear slanted with lashes residing at the corner to give the illusion of a calculating stare. Or, with ice blue eyeshadow at the corners, can make her eyes feel cold and cruel. With natural thin eyebrows, neatly trimmed, can create and support a coy expression when needed, or even a sad expression when emotional. However, her common approach to a facial expression is a cold and serious one, where the irises are cool, and the eyelids have been dusted with both dark and light shadows. Despite the emotion, she can sometimes appear innocent with wide eyes. But to complete her facial expressions, a small mouth in an innocent and somewhat surprised expression will make her appear innocent. Normally, her mouth is in shades of pink or red and held in a slight frown or small smirk. All of this is positioned inside a heart-shaped face, with a small turned up, snub nose in the centre.

She has fine and slim hands and a sweet voice. She likes playing the Chinese zither when she awakes.

Stellaluna stands roughly at five four and has a defined waist and bust. She supports a nineteen-inch waist which is smooth, flat with slight feminine abbs. Her body is considered a supermodel material, despite natural, but she is also seen wearing a corset occasionally. She flaunts a breast size of 34 inches, wears a bra size of 32B, with a cup size B. And on long slender fingers, she has stiletto shape nails coloured pale to blood red.

Under the rule of Lady Volupia, she was forced to wear a uniform. Firstly the colour was white for purity, then blue for the officer level before graduating in garnet. The dress style never changed but remained the same: A dark maroon, gold, and black military-style coat and a long, form-fitting black and red skirt. Several thin gold stripes go down the front, lining the red section of the skirt. The footwear were heels. Sometimes for sarcastic purposes, she would wear it as battle attire for the material was now well worn. However, for modern attire, she also has a choice between two other attire: an army style of brown colour tones, or a camouflage uniform for suited missions. For casual wear, she is seen wearing anything from formal to casual and of any colour.

Battle:

She swore to sacrifice her life to her people from the day she joined the academy.

Days Of Old

I was no longer aware of the passage of time. My mind had stopped working the way it used to. All I could think about was the need to hang on. I'd forgotten why I'd come here in the first place. I vaguely remembered that it had seemed significant once upon a time.
"Keep your gaze fixed on the rock, little sister.
Look neither up nor down."
My brother's voice was very close, and it startled me. He also took my focus away from the necessity of keeping my fingertips clenched tightly in the relatively thin cleft where I'd wedged them. And despite being told not to look around, I did just that.

Worse, I was looking down.

Then after, I screamed. Not too loudly, because I didn't have enough air to make such a racket. But it was adequate. The movement of air in my lungs was enough to propel me away from the slick, icy rockface. That, in turn, made the burden I'd placed on my fingertips just a little too much to handle. I scrabbled, desperate to reestablish my grip on the rock, but it was futile. My exposed abdomen rasped painfully against the jagged stone. My fingers were numb from the cold and couldn't feel anything. Even as I felt myself beginning to scrape back down the mountain, I cursed their inability to bear the slight weight of my body. I suddenly remembered how long it had taken me to get this far, and how much pain I had endured. All fear left me as I was suffused with mindless, instinctive fury. How could my own body betray me in such a way? I clenched my teeth. Even though I knew it was pointless, I tried to bite at the moss that lay beneath my cheek, desperate to grasp something to keep me from falling. I shut my eyes. In my mouth, I could taste the earthy flavour of the moss. Feel the wind's stinging bite. Even the pain in my body reminded me that I was alive and that every second was valuable to me. I fought back the tears. I had failed already, then. I'll never be able to achieve the mental state considered necessary to become a kunoichi warrior. To do so, I'd have to be indifferent to death. And I did not want to die.

Not now. Not ever.

A living heart can only beat so many times before it dies. At the moment - as it must come for all of us - when our body has used up every last beat, our time in this incarnation, in this world, ends.

My life might have been very different if my elder sister had not been so beautiful. Perhaps I would be in a different place now if she had been less certain of that beauty, less certain that the world would bend to her will. But what's the point of saying ‘if only?’ "Even the stone you trip on is part of your destiny," as the saying goes. What has occurred is irreversible; I cannot change it. And even if I could, would I want to? I believe I must be honest and state that, despite the sometimes extraordinarily cruel aspects of my life, the answer is no.

My father had three children. The eldest was my brother, Favian. The name refers to a brave man. The most appropriate name for a samurai's eldest child. Father lavished him with attention, as was only natural. My elder sister, the second-born, was fond of telling me she was named Venustiana because she was as beautiful as the goddess of love. And her beauty was a subtle compliment to Father's vast wealth. All of that made sense to me. Venustiana was stunning, and Father, of course, was wealthy and well-connected.

I was the last to arrive. It was a great sadness to me that it was my birth that killed my mother.

Venustiana often told me that I was extremely fortunate that Father was such a nobleman and that he adhered so strictly to the samurai code, which enabled me to live. Otherwise, my fate could have been dire. After all, I was just a little girl. A girl child who was born prematurely and thus arrived in this world thin, whining, and discontent. Perhaps it was divine punishment for my sins, but I was also ugly. In contrast to my lovely elder sister. Venustiana frequently reminded me that I should be grateful for my good fortune. And act appropriately. That is, I should be quiet and respectful, and I should always obey her orders without question. Rather than something celestial, perhaps my name should reflect good fortune and obedience. Stellaluna, which means "star and moon," is my name. I suppose it was meant to echo my situation, to make me realise that every time I heard it, I was lucky to be alive. My soul and spirit would otherwise be in heavenly space. Nothing but premature stardust.

"It's alright for you and Venustiana," I said enviously. I was watching Favian practice in the courtyard with his katana, the traditional samurai curved sword. The katana's blade was wickedly sharp even though it was an inferior weapon, used only to hack at a wooden figure balanced on a swivel that moved at a touch and helped improve the warrior's aim and sense of balance. I could feel my body twitching in response to his movements. Every curve of his arm, every turn of his body, I had memorised. Favian finished his graceful movement before speaking, standing back and carefully sliding the katana back into its scabbard before turning his gaze to me.
"What's all right with Venustinana and me?" he inquired. Despite the intense workout he had just completed, he was barely out of breath. He took a dipper of water from a barrel and walked to the edge of the dojo area. He politely offered me the dipper. I drank even though I wasn't thirsty, grateful for his generosity. He quenched his thirst before pouring water over his head and shaking the drops away.
"Everything is," I simply said. "You're the family patriarch. Father adores you. You can't possibly go wrong in his eyes. Venustinana is beautiful and graceful, and she captivates everyone she meets. And she's about to get married, so her future looks bright."

"Feeling sorry for yourself today?" Favian stated bluntly. My eyes welled up with tears. Didn't even my adored brother realise I had next to nothing? That I had the status of a lowly maidservant in our home? I would almost certainly never marry. I was doomed to live at home as a burden on my family until death freed me from my pointless existence. I ripped at my fingernail with my teeth, disappointed that he had not intuitively understood my feelings. That all he had done so was make me feel even more depressed.
"I'm useless," I finally admitted. "Father will never be able to find someone to marry me. Nobody will want me if I look like this. I'm going to die an old maid, hoping for some sort of honourable end." I raised my head and gave him a defeated stare. When I noticed he was grinning widely, I drew a sharp, indignant breath.
"Great-Grandmother looked like you, and she found a husband," Favian cheerfully pointed out. "We wouldn't be here if she hadn't. I'm confident that father will find you a suitable husband." His lighthearted dismissal of my issue made me feel even worse. I couldn't help but sigh.
"What else could I possibly do? With my face, it's not enough." As I saw a brief look cross his face, I felt a cold pit in my stomach.

"For starters, you can stop feeling sorry for yourself," Favian said instantaneously. "And you are not ugly. I'd rather look at you than Venustiana. At the very least, your body is pleasant. Your purity, with your beautiful white hair, "I bit my lower lip as I looked up at him. "You know, you don't have to get married. Or become an old maid. There is another alternative. Have you ever heard of the onna-bugeisha?"
I threw back my head and laughed as I looked at his smiling face. I was laughing so hard that tears welled up in my eyes. I quickly wiped them away and apologised. It was exceedingly rude of me. As it was, Favian simply shook his head, mockingly serious.
"Are you surprised Father hasn't bothered to find you a husband when you dare to disrespect someone who is attempting to assist you? Have some respect for your elders and betters, sister!"
"I sincerely apologise, brother." Even though Favian had spoken lightly, I hurried to apologise. "I assumed you were mocking me. Of course, I've heard stories about the onna-bugeisha. But stories are all they are. Noble warrior women who fought alongside their men could never exist in the real world. All samurai warriors are men, and that's all there is to it."
"You think so? Wait a moment until I put my robe on." He cast a glance at his pricey robe, which was strewn casually on the well's wall, and I dashed to get it for him, he smiled.
"Come with me, my little sister. I'd like to show you something."
He walked away from me without a backward glance. I had to scurry to catch up with him, hampered by the tight skirt of my kimono. His robe hanging freely in my hand, unclaimed.

"This book is very precious, little sister. When I was a child, my grandfather gave it to me "As he spoke, Favian opened the cover, which piqued my interest. The leaves inside were intriguing. They didn't turn like regular pages but instead folded out like the pleats of a huge fan. I knew at once that the book was very old indeed. Washi was a type of paper made from the fibres of mulberry bushes. Because of its construction, the paper could last for centuries if properly cared for. This book had been carefully stored for a very long time. The washi was still intact, and the grain was very fine, but it was starting to yellow at the edges, and I noticed Favian taking great care as he unfolded and spread the pages out before us. They crackled faintly as they were laid flat, while there were painted images of samurai on the pages. With a long finger, he pointed to a specific image. A woman dressed in samurai garb stands tall alongside the man.

“Onna-bugeisha is no story, little sister, these women engaged in battle alongside samurai men mainly in times of need. They are trained in the use of weapons to protect their household, family, and honour in times of war. Like the kunoichis and geishas, the onna-musha's are highly respected, powerful in their own right.” I gingerly touched the image and traced the brilliance of the female figure standing tall. “Brother, what is a kunoichi? Is that the same as onna-bugeisha?”
I looked up to stare at my brother only to have my eyes level with my father. Both of our bodies straightened when he settled down before us.

“No, a kunoichi is not the same as a onna-bugeisha. Both, however, are warriors but of a different cause. Onna-bugeisha is a female warrior, a kunoichi is trained as killers, spies and messengers. Similar yet not the same,” father spoke, his eyes moved and rested on Favian. He then spoke softly, “Why the lesson, son?”
“Father, I.” It was the first time I saw my brother so hesitant to speak. All at once, I knew that this was a serious matter.
“It is my fault, father. I was,” I jumped as I felt a hand rest on my knee and turned to look up at my brother in question.
“I have a desire, father. I wish for Stellaluna to become an onna-bugeisha.”
Momentarily speechless, all I could do was stare. I continued to stare as my father suddenly burst into laughter, and all at once, I fought to fight back the tears that were threatening to spill. To feel so insignificant and objectionable. I clenched my fists and bit the inside of my lower lip. He regards me as nothing more than a servant.
"I know it'll be a dangerous life for her, father, but it'll be better than being a maid, and she'll be out on the field with us-" "Enough! We will speak no more of this. As soon as Venustiana is married. I am sending Stellaluna aboard."
"Aboard, father? But to where?"
Blood pounded in my ears as my fears were being answered. I was to be shipped off. Unwanted. Discarded. The silence stretched throughout the room.
“I am sending her to Lady Volupia.”

One

"People often shit themselves when they die.
Their muscles slack, their souls soar, and everything else just... slips out.
This was my first discovery. Nothing stinks like a corpse. It takes a while for the body to really start reeking. Sure, if you don't soil your britches before you die, chances are you will soil them soon after—human bodies simply work that way, I quickly discovered. And I don't mean the common stench of shit; no no, I'm referring to the eye-watering perfume of simplistic mortality. It takes a few turns to really warm up, but once the gala gets going, it's one not to be forgotten. It starts before the skin turns black, the eyes turn white, and the stomach bloats like a horrifying balloon. It's sweet, creeping down your throat and rolling your stomach like a creamy churn. In reality, I believe it speaks to something primal. The same part of mortals who are afraid of the dark. That knows, without a doubt, that no matter who you are or what you do, even worms will have their feasts, and that you and everything you love will perish one day. But it takes a long time for bodies to stink so bad that you can smell them from miles away."

Applause erupted as Lady Volupia folded the paper in half, and when the room quieted down again, the mistress from hell, as Stellaluna refers to her, turned towards and smiled artfully. "Stellaluna, my daughter, you have written an excellent piece. How precise. I am pleased to inform you that you have successfully completed your course. You completed your first assassination mission and provided a good report to go along with your recordings. Excellent work."
As Stellaluna turns and exits the room, there is more applause.

Stellaluna had been in hell for a while now. Survival was her way of code, fight for food, fight to exist. Learn, please the officials, but most of all: never lose self-persona in the midst of cruelty. Keep emotions in check and never, never allow them to show. She survived the first mission, the first test. It was hard, the kill. He begged. He was so young, a child, a baby really. And he fought for survival just as much as she fought to kill him. Once the deed was completed, she had to study the corpse. Eat by that corpse, fight the scent of decaying flesh, of horrid shit, of the rusty smell of blood. And then she had to report her findings. She didn’t know which was worst, killing the poor bastard, or writing about him only to have the mistress from hell laugh about him. She left the building. The faint echoing of applause faded into the distance as she returned to her studies. To keep her emotions in check.

Two

She remembered. She remembered what she was supposed to forget. The first day she arrived, she remembered, the scenery was different. Covered in great tundra with little vegetation; Aurora Borealis in the sky and known for its multiple research stations scattered about. She later learned she was no longer in Yukigakure, or Yuki no Sato but in a different location altogether: Shimo no Kuni, the land of Frost. It was raining the day she arrived, the cold didn’t bother her, but she could tell that the temperature wasn’t as cold as Yuki, even with the similar tundra landscape. She was pushed through the door, the hand placed upon her back, firm, a woman’s hand but with the strength behind the pressure, could be mistaken for a man’s hand. The terror had begun almost immediately. No one comforts her, as one would expect someone to do for a frightened child, and she was a child. Thirteen years? Twelve perhaps? No, no comfort from her new family. They were too concerned with preventing her from escaping. How exposed the child felt, how naked, torn from her father, a man who didn’t want her, from her elder brother who she adored more than life itself. She didn’t envy her sister before, but she did then. She felt lost and alone.

Some days later, she was taken to a large, echoing room; where light seems to come in from all sides and the wind sweeps through too. It was a room, but it felt as if it was also outdoors - a special sort of room. It was a day she dreaded even though it has already happened. A nightmare, she knew then that her life was in danger, and as she received her first blessing from her knew mother, lady Volupia, she had no idea how right she was about her newfound circumstances. The woman sat on a pedestal, regal and cruel. And at that tender age that she had been, Stellaluna knew that one wrong move, one wrong anything, and she would be punished or worse, killed. Something had happened in that room. As she gazed up at the figure, a sharp pain punctured her neck and then she dreamed.

The child awoke later in a dark cold room. Rats and cockroaches scurried everywhere, feeding off carcasses and scraps of food sitting to the right. A dying candle rested on the floor in a puddle of wax; was the only artificial light source besides a very small window near the ceiling of the room. The glow it cast was not much, but she was well aware that she was chained to a pillar and was covered in cuts, bruises and dirt. Her body screamed whenever she attempted to move a muscle. She was in a heap, partially laying on the cold, wet concrete floor and what looked like her own blood, was smeared alongside the pillar she was slightly leaning against. Wary and disorientated, she glanced around the room only to find the most gruesome image hanging two meters behind her: a strangers body, hanging by a chain on a ceiling fan. Stellaluna find that her hands were bound tightly with brown rope so she wasn't able to cover her mouth. Instead, she rolled over and vomited all over herself and the ground. At once, she heard the heart-filled laughter coming from before her. A woman sat in a chair, her long legs folded out before her, and she had been watching, watching how shocked and disgusted that child’s face probably looked at the time. She seemed pleased and Stellaluna wondered if she was going to meet the same fate. But when the woman began to speak, Stellaluna recognized the voice almost immediately, and a loathing sensation suddenly washed over her like a bad odour. Lady Volupia.

Stellaluna stayed in that room for a very long time. Until the scent of death became recognisable. Until Lady Volupia explained the reasons behind the dead woman’s fate.

"She did not comply with my rules. She held on to her emotions and resisted my teachings. Your new sisters killed her. You'll meet them soon. Stellaluna, my newest member, my new daughter. Kill for me. Forget your emotions, and you will survive. Killing you would be extremely painful to me. An acclaimed samurai family child like you. Don't waste your life like the girl behind you did. Do as I tell you, and you will be rewarded. Welcome to your new family, my daughter.”

And so this was how she became a member of Volupia’s family.

Three

The practice of killing was taught to Stellaluna as soon as she was out of that horrid room with the hanging corpse of the female. She was introduced to her new sisters, dressed in a white uniform after being stripped clean and washed until her skin nearly bled. Naturally, her first kill didn’t happen immediately. Nor did her second. Things take time, firstly she was taught interrogation, how to handle a blade. She was taught the steps. She was taught to remove her emotions, however, in her case, conceal them. And by the time her third mission was upon her, she knew she was ready. And it went along smoothly that it wasn’t long until she was Lady Volupia’s favourite...

Now she wasn’t born and raised to be a kunoichi even though at a young age and when first introduced to the topic by her elder brother, it did seem suitable, but now it was chosen for her. No, she wasn’t even born in the Land of Frost, a place she found herself forcefully living in. She was a daughter, from a cold village called Yukigakure or Yuki no Kuni and in all her life she had never told more than a handful of people anything at all about Yukigakure, or about the house in which she grew up in, or about her old family, not the new, never the new, and certainly not about how she became a kunoichi. Most people would much rather carry on with their fantasies that her mother and grandmother were kunoichi’s, and that she began her training in the academy when she was weaned from the breast, and so on. As a matter of fact, one day many years ago, she was pouring a cup of sake for a man who happened to mention that he had been in Yukigakure only the previous week. Well, she felt as a bird must feel when it has flown across the ocean and comes upon a creature that knows its nest. She was so shocked she couldn't stop herself from saying:

"Yukigakure! Why that's where I grew up!"
This poor man! His face went through the most remarkable series of changes. He tried his best to smile, though it didn't come out well because he couldn't get the look of shock off his face.
"Yukigakure?" he said. "You can't mean it."

Long ago now, and thanks to Lady Volupia’s training, she had developed a very practised smile, which she calls her "Noh smile" because it resembles a Noh mask whose features are frozen. Its advantage is that men can interpret it however they want; one can imagine how often she’s relied on it. She decided she'd better use it just then, and of course, it worked. He let out all his breath and tossed down the cup of sake she'd poured for him before giving an enormous laugh she was sure, was prompted more by relief than anything else. Later that night, Stellaluna killed him.

And so, like programmed, she was brought up in The Land of Frost as a kunoichi; but it wasn’t the normal way, however, as soon as she was imported into the land, she underwent personal classes with Volupia instead of going straight to the nearest academy or farther more gaining residence from the nearest Kage themselves. Volupia told her that she was going to be taught by her hand and her hand only and so, therefore, not only did the nearest Kage not know about her, her training was guided by Volupia and it was done in absolute secrecy.

Nightmares come in different types. And this nightmare haunted her:

Within the room Monozygotic twin girls were playing near the window overlooking the home and Dojo below. Terror struck, she was forced to kill the girls and even at first she knew that punishment was heading her way. She could feel it, sense it and taste it. She could only imagine what the twins were thinking on their way down to their death’s below. Yet she was terrified for her punishment. She didn’t know if she could handle it. However, as she approached the girls who were unaware of what was about to happen to them, and she pushed them out the window, shattering the glass and was forced to listen to their screams as they fell to the jagged cliffs below. She could feel the tears as they lined her cheeks, and that alone was a clear sign that she had to do chores like that from now on. Kill, hide her emotions. Become someone else. She was a fool. She lost her family, and then took someone else’s children from them. She was disgusted with herself but lived in fear of what might happen to her if she don’t do what she was asked of. Of course, Lady Volupia was disappointed, believing that her way of handling the test was pathetic. It was dealt with immediately. Fevered and agony moments for several days after the murder of the girls, the punishment was cruel and lasted for what seemed like years. Her cook was ordered to peel back her skin to see if he could see the wonders Lady Volupia was hoping for, and that was a cold emotionless killer. When she was released, she was bandaged up and had to attend medical school for a day to make sure that the damage wasn't life-threatening. She remembered she was praying that it was.

Four

Slowly by slowly, her emotions were stripped from her. And like the many tests before, the lessons were so painful that if she did something wrong, she would get thrashed across her knuckles and have her meals cancelled. Volupia’s training methods were strange but effective and when the time seemed right for Lady Volpuia, that she believed that her now favourite charge had lost her emotions, the next task was for her to kill the other members of Volpuia’s family collection. At the time Stellaluna felt everything, terror being uppermost in her mind, beginning toward heartbreak. But she was well aware that if she shows a hint of sadness or even happiness she would have blown her chance of faking this emotionless being Volupia had dreamed of creating. And so with an emotionless behaviour, Stellaluna entered the room and killed every last woman and child. Boys and girls. Even animals were caught in the crossfire and for some strange reason, she truly felt nothing for them at all. That the feeling she had before was simply worries that if one turn was wrong, she would have died. Even though worry was an emotion, she didn't dare tell Lady Volupia. No, and so afterwards, that was one in many secrets she began to withhold against Volupia.

And so after so much pain and sorrow, the training had pulled off. And since having an unwanted close relationship with Volupia, she survived the battle which unknowingly began to drive her slightly insane. But the whole time since living under her care, Stellaluna had made no friends in means that when it finally came to her kill, she would feel nothing. And that turn of a choice she had to make proved to be the right one, that having trained extra hard to conceal her emotions had finally worked. When she exited from the building, Stellaluna lacked emotion to the point that nothing showed up on her face besides the fact that her eyes appeared cold, and when faced by Volupia, she was rewarded. The following day, waking up in the blood and approaching Lady Volupia upon orders, she was offered a chance to go to the ninja academy to train and become a real ninja. And though she had skills already, she agreed anyway, as long as she could leave the nightmare behind. And so she was finally, she travelled. She travelled until the land changed once more.

She was aloud to decided on which village she should approach. But she was not aloud to return to Yukigakure. After much travels, she finally decided and introduce herself to the Kage of Kumogakure; there, she was then sent off to the academy.

Five

As life slowed down to a more steady pace. The academy, pointless in more cases than she would have liked, at least she learned about chakra and what chakra was and how to use it. And after much practice and basic understanding, had developed brilliant chakra control. First, in every class, she gained the ability to walk up walls and trees, and to walk on water, an ability she enjoyed most because of its unusualness. Even though she didn’t focus on subjects like taijutsu for fear of being found out, she did find other ways to entertain her. And before long, with no friends made, she graduated with flying colours.

“Stellaluna, for being the top-class student. I present you with this Hitai-ate,” as her sensei spoke, he then held out two different Kumogakure carved forehead protectors, one white, and the other black. Deciding, she reached out and pulled the black from his grip and tied it on, wearing it as a hairband.

After graduation, she excused herself, claiming that she was going to return to her family out of state to personally tell them the great news. Pardoned, she travelled back to the land of Frost. And before long, she returned to Lady Volpuia with the band shining proudly on her forehead. She received congratulations with a straight face. All the while planning. All the while, waiting for a sign. Her uniform changed from white to navy blue. But now, she returned wearing garnet, the highest level under Lady Volpuia’s rule. After experiencing the academy; it was a small break from the world she knew, but that small break away from Volupia’s control allowed her to experience emotions again. They weren’t the same as her childhood, but emotions, all the same. However, when she returned back to Volpuia, did her emotionless mask return, and remain. At least for a while.

Six

Stellaluna's jewelled colour eyes clouded. She wracked her brain for anything of comfort to offer, but she had no personal experience from which to draw. "Look, I don't know much about childbirth, but I think it's supposed to be painful, and birth is imminent when the contractions are on top of one another." Zelene scream underscored her point. Stellaluna winced before she could stop herself and brushed a stray strand of white hair behind her ear. "Though, I don't remember the farm animals ever being in so much pain," she mumbled.
"Stellaluna," a command came from the doorway, and she turned when she heard her name called. "You are summoned. Report to Mistress Volupia immediately." Stellaluna gave a single nod and rested her hand on Zelene's shoulder. "Best wishes, sister," Stellaluna whispered, squeezing the trembling shoulder. Her gaze was drawn from the doorway to the woman giving birth. Concern, forbidden, yet there in her eyes to be seen.
"You too." Zelene managed to utter before bursting into another scream.

Stellaluna paused in the hallway before approaching Lady Volupia's office. She knocked once and heard a firm response. "Enter". Stellaluna entered the room, closed the door behind her, and approached the woman behind her desk. "How may I assist you, my lady?" Stellaluna inquired, her voice soft yet her heart pounding. Volupia handed over a box, stood, and exited the room without saying a word. Stellaluna swallowed as she looked down at the lid, barely hearing the door close. The box wasn't particularly large, but it was oddly shaped, long, and heavy. She cautiously lifted the lid and peered down into the contents. Inside were two katanas with matching wakizashi, a bloodstained cloth folded in half, and a single letter. She was frozen in place. She barely dared to breathe before setting the box down and opening the letter with trembling fingers.

My dearest daughter,

Empty-handed I entered the world
Barefoot I leave it.
My coming, my going —
Two simple happenings
That got entangled.

If you are reading this, then it means I am no longer alive. Hopefully, I've served my purpose and died as a hero in battle. This is my final message to you. The night I decided to send you away, war was on our doorstep. Disownment was the only option available to me. If they had known I had an unclaimed woman in my possession, you would have been taken from me, married, raped, or even murdered by the enemy I fought so hard to keep you safe. Venustinana marriage saved her. My son, your brother would fight alongside me until death. But you were my biggest liability, my dearest. To save you from my mistakes, I sent you away, cold and discarded. And despite it will be my greatest sin, my final authority to you will keep you alive, safe, and away from my foolish estimations and error of judgement. All my life, I have made mistakes. But I did not want my errors to fall onto you. Understand this, my daughter. I've always loved you and will continue to do so. Even after I die, I will protect you by watching over you as I have done my entire life. I'm hoping you will forgive me, daughter.

Farewell.

She scrunched up the letter, picked up the box, and left the office with trembling hands. Inside she experienced mixed feelings: bitter as his death came a little too late, and sad because her father and brother had died. She hid the emotions though. Proudly mastering her emotions over the shock. A voice called out to her as she walked down the corridor. "Good. There shall be no tears shed for the dead. My daughter, you have done well." Volupia stated: "You're finally ready to face the world without the impediment of emotions weighing you down. Making you weak. A reward recognizes. Those weapons are yours, the weapons of your past."

Stellaluna stood alone in the corridor, long after Volupia’s departure. She realised immediately that the test she had just passed was to see if her ‘outing to the academy’ had not reawoken her emotions. One thing Stellaluna learnt at the academy, was the art of illusion. It was at that moment, that she made plans for Lady Volupia's death.

Seven

The death of her family, of her brother, hurt her more than she led on. And a murdering spree did enter her mind momentarily before she quickly discarded the idea. Not every sister was wicked like Volpuia, take Zelene for example, she was lovely as they come. And like her, she too faked the emotionless facade. There were other sisters like them who did, but finding them would be difficult. The art of illusion, effective. Stellaluna wondered what would happen to Zelene now that she had given birth. A son, not a daughter. No, Volpuia had to die in order for the females to have a chance at a normal life. As she touched her headband, she knew that she couldn't do this in her new position. With the band on, it would be a disgrace to do the deed. And if the news that a female killed under the name of Kumogakure - as they would view it as the act - no, she removed the band and placed it in her coat. In any case, Kumogakure would not be responsible for the consequences.
“One last horrible deed before I am free from my past.”
She planned. It had to go accordingly to plan as Volpuia was too hard a target to kill. After all, the woman was a vile woman who taught Stellaluna everything she knew...

I don't particularly remember what happened next, but as he approached me, his cold hands encased my ankle. I suddenly began jerking away, raising my legs. My eyes slammed shut as I rolled over, kicking cook away and after suddenly looking up and seeing what my fate might end up becoming, I found myself suddenly confused because it looked like I was now watching an old movie. The world around me had drained itself of all colour, resulting in nothing but black and white. What had happened to me? I could hear myself roaring, screaming so powerfully loud, I found myself overcome; overwhelming hatred and rage that had built up within me had surfaced through pain, rage but also fear. Fear of what he did to me in the past. Fear of what he did to the others. The cook advanced upon me with his butcher knife in his hand. He was going to cut me again, and I can’t do much to stop him. I have to make a stand. I had to show him that despite my fear, it must not show. Instead, I will show him my rage. I got up from the floor and charged him, all blind fury. Broken glass of a wine bottle lay on the floor, among a lot of other objects used by the kitchen. It was the closest thing I could find, let alone use. My strength, I found, was monstrous, something that seemed physically impossible to comprehend. I overpowered the cook with such ease, I could have snapped his neck or pulled out his spine with my bare hands. Instead, he fought against me for a while, my fingers encasing the glass bottle as I raised it above my head. I straddled the cook still, using my free hand to pin him into submission. His hands were around my neck, squeezing the life out of me. But my strength did not wane. The hand holding the bottle went down, the glass cool in my hands suddenly grew hot and wet with the cook’s blood. The glow surrounding him was dimming rapidly, which was something that I did not understand but I continued to hit him. The glass ripping his face and chest apart, the screams I put into the blows echoed within my head as blood squirted everywhere around me. I remember continuing to hit him until I suddenly grew exhausted and finally collapsed onto his bloodied corpse. I rested there. Panting before I prepared the message for Lady Volpuia. One I would later explain while I am killing her.

I watched from the corner as Lady Volupia entered the room. I made it so that the first thing she saw was unpleasant. Her son, the bastard cook who enjoyed torturing me and many innocent others, laid hung over the bed where I had impaled him to the wall by his own butcher knife which was coming out of his chest. His eyes were gone, and he had also been castrated – his dick was dangling limply out of his mouth. Signifying the filthy pig he was. As Volupia screamed, I clamped my hand over her mouth and circled her waist with my left arm.
“Did not see this coming, did you Volupia? Your son had it coming you know. Torturing not only me but others you set your mind to. Even rape though I was grateful I was not one of his many victims. He screamed very much like you do. He won’t be screaming anymore.”
I dragged her then, ignoring her struggles. As we neared the whirlpool bath, that only she had in her private chambers, I threw her in the steaming, bubbling water and watched as the water scalded her body. Livid purple welts broke out all over her body and Volupia even tried to jump out. Unfortunately, I grabbed her and forced her head under the water, screaming as I did so before I manage to control my voice.
“The temperature is two hundred fifty degrees,” I informed her calmly as I could when I allowed the nearly dead women to resurface. “And a mortal like yourself, well you are already severely disfigured, and yes, dying. However, before you leave this life, I am going to do what your dead son did to those helpless girls you allowed him to insult. So hold still and let me clean you.”
I picked up a vicious-looking brush and scrubbed her skin roughly, telling her that I will make her bleed from head to foot if she screamed. Still in the bath as she was, she not only screamed but bled as well, and after an interminable length of time, I yanked her out of the water by her hair, using a coarse towel to dry her. Volupia cried out when the towel reopens wounds and at her cry, I whacked her on the back of the head with the brush. “Be quiet.” Then I attacked her hair, pulling it out of her scalp with each vicious stroke. When I was done, I put a white shift over her and left her dying on the bathroom floor.
“There – at least now you’re somewhat purified.”
I left the room and told the others who remained behind to do whatever they thought necessary to the two bodies left in the rooms. But I also left the message that if those loyal to a fold, if they sought her down and attempted a take her life, then they will die worse than Volupia did. I had my revenge, left my old house and miles away from the crime scene did I then pulled my forehead protector out from the folds of my uniform and tied up my hair.

Before she would return to Kumogakure, she had to disappear for a while. To find herself. She knew that when she left the building of dead behind, no fingerprints, or evidence of any kind remained. As after every kill. Nobody would know if Stellaluna had been there. Not unless she was given up to the authorities by a witness. It was a gamble leaving the other girls alive. But she had to take the chance. They were in the same circumstances as she had been. She saw the risk, she just hope her sisters didn’t make the mistake that might end her hard-fought freedom. Later. Much later, she came to discover that her sisters had kept her a secret. They led lives of their own. Some mothers, others kunoichis of different nations. But most of all, they were free.

Eight

She was alone, something she was never meant to be. Her people, her sisters, were blood and they shared a special bond. The bond of trained killers. However, despite that, she almost preferred solitude. If she was alone, she didn’t have to make choices that affected anyone other than herself. Fix her life or not, eat or not, sleep or not—dream or not. She tried to dream as little as possible, but that day, in particular, wasn’t good for it. Death Day. Across the lands, to the final resting place of Lady Voluipa. It was the first such celebration of her freedom as it was only a year old, but the idea of celebrating the day at all nauseated her. Yes, the bitch had to die. But to celebrate death? No, she only wanted to live. And so she lives. Lives in hiding. She hadn’t returned to Kumogakure. Not yet. Just in case those who were faithful to Volpuia were out there, wishing to kill her.

“Ashla!” The voice was loud and cheerful, wrenching her from her memories. “Ashla!”
Living in hiding had its benefits such as making it easier to live under an assumed name. She could also easily stay far away from any of the major nations until she felt ready to reemerge.
What she hadn’t accounted for was the attention of her neighbours, the Mánisian, a local nationality who seemed to have their fingers in every bit of business that happened on Zokuji, the capital of Tsuki, the moon country. They took her under their wing—as much as they could with Stellaluna maintaining her distance. She was still grieving, in her own way, and it helped if she told herself that she didn’t want to try to make any ties, try the friendship thing.
Moon country suited her. It was tiny and quiet, yet there were enough newcomers that she didn’t stick out. The nation did a brisk trade in vacation, having hotels as the main source of buildings, but nothing on a large scale as the country was tiny. It was as good as any new place for “Ashla” to call home.
“Ashla, are you in there?” the girl outside shouted again. Too cheerful, Stellaluna thought with a shake of her head. Even though she liked the place, maybe it was time to move on. Face her fears, her uncertainties. Stellaluna considered her options. She was known for wandering out into the wilderness alone. There wasn’t anything dangerous there, and certainly, nothing that would be dangerous to her. So she could sit quietly, pretending she wasn’t home, and if anyone asked later, she’d just say she’d gone for a walk.

She stood and crossed the floor of her tiny house. It wasn’t fancy enough to have rooms or even room dividers, but one of the things growing up in Volpuia’s captivity prepared a person for was austerity. If Stellaluna didn’t own things, she had less to carry with her when it was time to go. She had heard the warning in the girls’ show of cheerfulness as they called to her, but she needed more details. The only way to get them was to open the door.
“I’m coming, I’m coming!” she said, hoping she sounded enthusiastic. Stellaluna had met the people when she’d arrived at the port. They ran most of the shipping from there, legal and otherwise. Stellaluna would have avoided them entirely, except the younger ones followed her about like ducklings and she hadn’t worked up the bile to discourage them yet. She
opened the door and found four of them staring up at her, with a couple of the older girls behind them. The older ones didn’t look as carefree as the little ones did. Stellaluna tensed and then forced herself to relax.

“Ashla, you have to come right now,” said the eldest. There were so many children that she struggled to remember which name belonged to whom. She looked down at them and had a nagging feeling that she was forgetting something. “Yeah!” said one of the gaggle of children. “Dad’s got fancy guests asking to meet any, new people, and you’re new, so you should come! You can sit with us.” A year’s residency still qualified Stellaluna as new, even though it was the longest she had stayed in any one place. “Why don’t you guys go on ahead?” she said and nodded solemnly to the older girls. She didn’t know if their parents knew they were here, but she wanted to let them know she appreciated the risk they were taking. “You can save me a seat while I clean up. I slept in a bit this morning, and I can’t go looking like this.”
She gestured down at her clothes. They were the only ones she owned, and everyone knew it, but it was enough of an excuse to get the job done. The little ones chorused entreaties that she hurry up but promised to save a place for her. The older two stayed quiet and herded their siblings back toward the centre of town. Stellaluna didn’t watch them go. As soon as they turned around, she shut the door and took a moment to gather herself.

She didn’t have a lot to pack. Her single room was bare except for the bed and thick floor mat where she might have entertained guests had she ever received any. She rolled the mat aside and uncovered the compartment where she kept a little currency and her father and elder brother weapons. She held onto them. Considering selling one pair, but not that which had once belonged to her brother. Her father’s weapons would have to go. She would need more currency to get her from this place to the next. Her father weapons won’t be missed. She threw everything in a bag and put on a short cowl that would cover her face.

As she shut the door to her house for the final time, she heard the familiar sounds of birds singing. She was going to miss them. It was as if they welcomed her. Pity, she thought. The streets were deserted. Not at all strange in these parts. She jumped to a first-story window and climbed up the building until she reached the roof. So close to the main compound, the motels were nicer than her little shack. They were taller and had flat roofs. More importantly, they were built very close together, to save on construction costs. It wasn’t a perfect travelling path, but for someone with Stellaluna’s abilities, it was passable enough. Hoping that no one could see her, she ran along the tops of the houses. Even with the danger of being seen, it felt better than anything Stellaluna had done in a long time.

She didn’t use her chakra to run—there was no point in taking unnecessary risks—but she did use it to make sure each jump across the streets below was safe. Every time she looked down, she saw guards patrolling. Nothing new, considering this was the capital. They didn’t appear to be searching for a specific target, though. Stellaluna reached the edge of the row of tall houses and crouched, looking down over the shipyard and the dock. The sound of water sloshing. She risked a jump from the rooftop to the alley below, prioritizing speed over anything else. And made her escape.

The cost to travel had been her father’s weapons. That not only covered the rent for safety but covered the food also. So now, on her attire were her brother’s weapons. Her most prized possessions. She travelled with them until she reached the village she claimed as her home. Kumogakure no Sato. The welcoming boom of thunder and the answering flash of lightning welcoming her. Only then, did she wonder why she took so long to return?

Once inside, she looked around. To get the feel of the place, she not only studied the people, the shinobi. She also looked at the market. For food, water, survival equipment. And then finally, the housing market. She would need a house to call something home. As she walked, Stellaluna took note of her new surroundings. Though the architecture was monotonous and mostly prefabricated, there was enough decorative embellishment that she knew the people who lived in the houses cared about them. After a few blocks, Stellaluna found herself in a neighbourhood with smaller houses that had been cobbled together with no sense of aesthetic. This suited her, and she set to looking for one that was uninhabited. The first one she found had no roof. The second was right next to a cantina—quiet enough in the middle of the day but presumably loud and obnoxious at night. The third, a couple of streets over from the cantina and right on the edge of the forest, looked promising. Stellaluna stood in front of it, weighing her options. After moments of thought, she decided on it. Over a few months, she had paid for the building to be fixed. The one-room, now had an extra two rooms, a kitchen, two bathrooms and a sunroom. The property was also large enough that she had a dojo added behind the building. The cost, expensive but well worth it. She had been living in Kumogakure for a while now, enough to know that she had made the right choice. She settled on the balcony and closed her eyes. The sound of birds, singing.

This can also be done by an unaffected characters by applying a sudden surge of chakra into the affected person. The unaffected character must know GenJutsu Kai (Dispel GenJutsu) in order to perform it on an affected person. The affected getting out of a GenJutsu is dependent on the knowledge of the unaffected. Description: User is able to move forward in a straight line along the ground in almost instantaneous untraceable speed while temporarily masking the user's movements within 10 meters. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by focusing the user's chi along the ankles and foot. User mostly moves just with their ankles and feet. Jutsu takes up no movements. User may only use this Jutsu half of the movements may allow in a single round while rounding down. Example: User has 5 movements, user is able to perform Jutsu 2 times per round.

There speed however suffers the side effects of becoming sluggish and moving with problems at first. Once activated the user is now capable of seeing ones aura as it emanates from there body. This also allows the user to negated pain for a short period of time.

Drawback: You receive one negative to movement. Though a Kamyuja member is not capable of using chakra gates, they can use there chaos as as substitute in order to go into a chakra gate related fighting style. This eye is capable of mimicking the first and second gate. Please note you don't gain the benefits of those chakra gates.
Description: Picture When activated the user’s eyes turn into a brilliant glittering shade of lavender color. The significance of the color shows a hidden life wishes to explode out as the outer area of the colored eye gleams in a darker shade of purple, this causes the user to see in black n’ white as if they are colored blind. But instead of this being a disadvantage towards them they are able to see ones aura of chakra that emanates from there body. Once chaos is activated the user is able to demonstrate feats of incredible strength, this is possible due to the fact it allows the Kamyuja member to tap into only twenty five percent of there true strength. Though this allows the user to become incredible strong for a short period of time, there speed is reduce greatly as there movement becomes sluggish. When activated the nociceptor that allows a person to feel pain is shut down for a short duration of time. While the nocieptor may be shut down allowing no pain to precede forth to the brain so the brain can register to causing neuropathic pain. While the pain may not be able to transmit to the brain at the time, it is forced to be backed up until the nocieptor is open again. This can be dangerous due to the fact too much pain may not only cause physical pain but psychogenic pain that may kill him if too much damage is taken. That is why the body reacts by letting the pituitary gland release endorphins at a remarkable rate to reduce the pain consumption by fifteen percent only allowing the user to feel only eighty-five percent of the pain that is dealt to them.
Limit: Must have the Kamyuja Bloodlimit, This ability only last for twenty turns before automatically shutting off. After five turns after Chaos has been shut off the user is capable of activating it once again.

There speed, however remains the same and unlike the first stage they no longer suffer any negatives to there movement speed. Once activated the user is now capable of seeing ones aura as it emanates from there body. This also allows the user to negated pain for a short period of time.
Special: You receive no negatives to movement. Though a Kamyuja member is not capable of using chakra gates, they can use there chaos as as substitute in order to go into a chakra gate related fighting style. This eye is capable of mimicking the third and fourth gate. Please note you don't gain the benefits of those chakra gates.

Once this stage of chaos is activated the user is able to demonstrate feats of incredible strength, making them unstoppable to some. This is possible due to the fact it allows the Kamyuja member to tap into only fifty percent of there true strength. Effect: The third stage of chaos, this stage was consider the final step in evolution for the Kamyuja. This allows the user to unlock seventy-five percent of there max strength, there endurance and durability remains the same as stated as above. Unlike before the Third stage increase the Kamyuja’s speed slightly, there movement speed increases by one giving them an edge on the battlefield. As stated before, once activated the user is now capable of seeing ones aura as it emanates from there body. This also allows the user to negated pain for a short period of time.
Special: You receive a plus one to movement. Though a Kamyuja member is not capable of using chakra gates, they can use there chaos as as substitute in order to go into a chakra gate related fighting style. This eye is capable of mimicking the fifth and sixth gate. Please note you don't gain the benefits of those chakra gates.
Drawback: After obtaining the Third stage of Chaos the Kamyuja goes into a Bloodthirsty rampage, in sense they lose themselves to their Chaos and desire nothing more then to fight. (If the Kamyuja member has a rival or a nemesis they will stop at nothing to fight them when they are in this Bloodlust) The only way to snap the person out of this Bloodlust is to A. Defeat them in combat knocking them unconscious, B. They kill everyone around them (Or there rival/nemesis) C. Everyone avoid the Bloodlust monster for a day, there he will tire himself out and pass out. Keep in mind that this Bloodlust does not go away; it can be trigged again if a Kamyuja member is near death or defeat. If that happen the time length of Chaos is increased by eighteen. When in Bloodlust a Kamyuja can’t not tell friend from foe, (So Battle Mods, if a Kamyuja member is failing to attack an ally in the area while they are in bloodlust, you can nullify there bloodlust rage and automatically shut off there chaos where they will be penalized to wait ten turns before activating it again.)
Another Drawback, after learning the third stage of chaos, the user has half a year (Roleplay timeline) before becoming blind. Unless they are able to find a medic who may perform surgery (Can be an NPC). Surgery is required because when a Kamyuja member activates the Third stage, they are putting to much stress on there eyes as the eyes change to allow one to see someone’s aura. The surgery that is need is that to reduce pressure on the eyes to allow them change, (This means a “B” Ranking Medic and Higher class are only capable of performing the surgery). This has to be performed only once in a Kamyuja's lifetime. It only happens when you first learn the thrid stage, after you have the surgery it is not required again to get it again.
Description: Picture :: Picture Activating the Third Stage of Chaos the user seems to be a completely different person. There eyes completely turn black as they are consumed by Chaos this is a birth of total darkness as the full Chaos takes control, taking out the life that was once in there. Some rare cases a Kamyuja’s eye color isn’t black but white instead. The difference between the two is unknown or how to obtain. Like previously stated before the user is capable of seeing in black n’ white as if they were colored blind, this doesn’t hinder there ability to fight in fact it increase there ability due to the fact they are able to see the aura of chakra emanating from a person’s body. Once this stage of Chaos is activated the user is able to demonstrate feats of incredible strength liken none as ever seen before, when activated they become unstoppable as they feel as if they are unstoppable. The Kamyuja member is able to tap into seventy-five percent of there true strength, making them the powerful creature that has ever walked this earth. Though there strength can be rivaled by others who posses human super strength, there speed however is a different story. They no longer move at there normal movement speed, but move at an advance pace as they are able to move with a plus one to there movement, unlike before were they got no bonus or negatives to them. The only thing that truly doesn’t change for them when activating there Chaos is the pain receptors within there body. So let’s recap the nociceptor that allows a person to feel pain is shut down for a short duration of time. While the nocieptor may be shut down allowing no pain to precede forth to the brain so the brain can register to causing neuropathic pain. While the pain may not be able to transmit to the brain at the time, it is forced to be backed up until the nocieptor is open again. This can be dangerous due to the fact too much pain may not only cause physical pain but psychogenic pain that may kill him if too much damage is taken. That is why the body reacts by letting the pituitary gland release endorphins at a remarkable rate to reduce the pain consumption by Thirty percent only allowing the user to feel only seventy-five percent of the pain that is dealt to them.

Skill: Taijutsu
Effect: The user slams their fist into the ground with tremendous force causing the terrain around them to become unstable as it violently shakes making the earth around them rise in pillars.

Drawback: ----
Description: Striking downward towards the ground, the user sends a shockwave that causes the earth beneath them to violently shake like an earthquake. This technique last for two rounds, though the devastation of this technique isn’t as tremendous its capabilities are limitless.
First Stage: After striking the floor, tremors start to accrue due to the force of the punch which causes underground vibration. In result of this the within a 100 meter radius blast of the impact site becomes unstable, making it quite difficult for people to stand on without nearly falling over. This makes the land quite difficult to fight on for the user and the opponent.
Second Stage: The next turn, the terrain beings to crumble and collapses in on itself engulfing anything on the surface into its belly. As the land now becomes brittle, pillars of earth rise out from beneath the destroyed terrain and being climbing in height as they begin to tower of the land ten to twenty meters high with a width that is uncounted for as it varies from different sizes. The amount of earth that is shifted upwards as pillars is unknown, but what is known is that the terrain becomes unrecognizable as the landscape changed into an entirely new battlefield.

Thunderclap [10]

Effect: The user takes their arms and quickly gives out a clap. The shear force of the user’s strength and hands sends a shock wave slamming into the opponent.
Special: Must have two arms to perform this technique.

Description: The user quickly claps their hands together once sending a fierce shock wave around the opponent capable of sending the opponent into the distance. Depending on the Class level depends on how strong this technique may be. When the user first learns this technique as a “D” Class ninja the user is able to send a shock wave of sheer force in the distance of twenty meters capable of giving a knock back of five meters away from the twenty meter region. For every class level the user may be higher then that of “D” Class the technique increases at a distance of five meters giving it a total of forty meters, with a knock back of twenty five meters past the initial shockwave point. This technique is able to counter against thrown and other projectile weapons. This technique is able to redirect other projectile techniques as well only equal to the rank of Thunderclap. For every level of Chaos the user activates the distance increases by five meters.

Effect: The user takes a deep breath and lets out a powerful scream. This powerful scream is capable of sending the opponent and any obstacle that is not bolted down flying.

Drawback: ----
Description: Becoming infuriated, the user yells at the top of there lungs generating a powerful tidal wave that is capable of sending the opponent flying back into the distance. This sonic boom surrounds the user sending anything around them flying back at a high velocity. The sound wave of this technique is capable of being seen by the human eye as the area around the user ripples causing the space to shimmer making that area very disoriented when looking upon it. This technique can also be used to counter or redirect projectile weapons or projectile techniques of its rank and lower, (“B” Rank and lower). Depending on the Class level of the user also depends on the strength of the technique. When the user first learns this technique at “C” Rank they are capable of sending out a shock wave of fifty meters, giving it a knock back power of fifteen meters. When the user becomes a “B” Rank they are capable of sending out a shock wave of fifty-five meters, giving it a knock back power of twenty meters.

Effect: The Elbow of Justice. This technique the user rushes to the opponent with their elbow extended to launch the opponent away.

Description: This technique allows the user to slam their elbow as if making a tackle into the opponent. The sheer force of the attack is devastating capable of crushing mass amounts of defense. Depending on the user’s class level depends on the actual strength of this technique. When the user becomes a “C” Class character this attack feels as if getting hit by an “A” rank technique. When the user becomes a “B” Class character this attack feels as if getting hit by an “S” Rank technique. The user takes charge to tackle into the opponent. The sheer force of the attack makes it seem like wind has surrounded by the opponent but this is just the aerodynamics of the technique and how it looks. The user rushes lunging themselves into the opponent smashing their elbow into them. This technique is capable of sending opponents into the distance but not much, perhaps up to five meters no matter what, but the blow itself is mean to create massive harm.

Effect: The Knee of Justice is a favorable technique in which the user jumps up kneeing the opponent in the face, or body part with such strength capable of knocking the opponent far into the distance by just the force of the attack.

Description: A favorite technique among the odd members of the Kamyuja. This technique was called the Knee of justice because when a user hits an opponent with this technique they are sent flying in a crashing way. The user lifts up with their back leg while lifting their knee with their strong leg. Then the user knees upwards with their strong leg to smack the opponent. When making contact the force could be seen as this “shockwave” that can be seen surrounding the user’s knee and the entire leg as the opponent is suddenly launched into the distance. When the user first learns this technique the opponent is sent flying off at a distance of fifteen meters. For every class level the user is higher then that of “D” class the distance increases by five meters. This gives a total of thirty meters in distance. When the user reaches “B” Class this technique will feel as if getting hit by a “B” rank technique adding more devastating power to the blow. The shockwave will seem as if covering the opponent‘s lower body. When the user reaches “A” Class this technique will feel as if getting hit by an “A” rank technique. The shockwave will seem as if covering the opponent’s whole body. When the user reaches “S” Class this technique will feel as if getting hit by a “S” rank technique. The shockwave will seem as if the user himself became comet as a tail of wave appears. The shockwave is just appearance to make the technique more flashy. For every level of Chaos the user activates the distance increases by five meters.

Ground Zero [80]
Rank: “A”
Skill: Taijutsu
Effect: The user slams their fist into the ground with tremendous force causing the terrain around the user to be ripped apart as the landscape causing it to erupt in flames.
Special: This technique last for Three turns after the first stage.
Drawback: ----
Description: Similar to that of ‘Ground Breaker’, the user strikes downward towards the ground with their fist sending a powerful shockwave that not only shakes the land underneath them but also destroys the land around them.
First Stage: After striking the initial strike, a powerful shockwave consumes the area around the user. This shockwave tares apart at the land ripping trees out from the earth and sending them flying. Anything that is not bolted down to the ground or weighs about approximately a ton is sent flying in its wave. If anyone is in Fifty-five meters of the point of impact are thrown violently across the land sending them twenty meters back. After the dust has settled, the user will be found standing within a creator, which they created after punching the earth below them to perform the technique.
Second Stage: The next turn, the terrain within 200 meters in a diameter blast, becomes highly unstable as it begins to collapse in on itself and high pressure of steam begins to erupt from the ground. As the land begins to fall apart, it becomes imperative for anyone who is within the reach of this technique to escape before the land collapse in on itself entrapping anyone within it, in its rubble. In the event, if the opponent or even the user is unable to escape the area before the lands start to crumble, they will find themselves facing a new threat. The geyser of steam that shoots out from underneath the ground, is boiling hot causing severe damage to anyone who comes into contact with it. (Note) If the user somehow manages to use this technique on a fault line that has volcanic activity, lave will spew out from underneath the earth making the land neither unbearable nor suitable to fight on. (Only Gm’s or staff can determine if you use this on a fault line, or have Gm’s or staff roll a hundred side die to determine it, but of course, the chances of that is five per cent)

Monkey Grip [80]

Effect: A powerful crushing chokehold that uses brute-force to manhandle there opponent, which leads to fall under unconsciousness or even death.
Special: The optimum-sized of an object is limited to the hand capability of wrapping around a cylindrical shape with a diameter of one to three inches, unless otherwise noted by the users max height which will increase the hands size and capability of wrapping around objects.
Drawback: ----
Description: A powerful crushing grip that wraps around an opponents limbs or even objects to crush within there hands. Kamyuja’s strength are superior to those of a normal human being, because of this physical advantage they are capable of using this technique. This constricting technique can be used as a powerful chokehold on an opponent, when grappled by the throat with this technique it is nearly impossible for the user to break the hold. The hand then becomes locked in place as the muscles tighten slowly contracting around the enemy’s throat which will cause them to gasp for air, if the Kamyuja member wishes they are able of crushing the opponents throat killing them instantly, but in order to do such a feat it will take the user two turns in order to full crush the enemy’s throat. If the user does not wish to kill the opponent they may simply choke the opponent into unconsciousness. T his strong crushing grip can also be used in crushing the bones of the opponent, but in order to do that there hand must be able to wrap around the opponents limb in order to crush it. There is however ways of escape this technique, if caught in a chokehold by a Kamyuja the only way to escape is to either brake the Kamyuja’s strength or strike them hard enough in the head they nearly suffer a concussion from it. If a Kamyuja member however dies when they have someone in there clutches it becomes nearly impossible for the victim to escape, due to the fact the body’s muscle lock in place causing the grip to become nearly unbreakable. There option now is to either die a slow death of lack of oxygen or amputate the Kamyuja’s hand or there own to escape there grip.

Effect: User lifts a massive piece of earth and hurls it towards their opponents.
Special: User must slam their hands into the ground.
Drawback: ---
Description: The user of the Kamyuja family uses their Herculean strength and slams their fists into the ground. When doing so the user grabs the ground and quickly picks up the ground from underneath. The user then lifts up a boulder of earth and rock as they quickly chunk it towards their opponents. When the user slams their hands into the ground, using their strength it creates a seismic reacting that keeps the rock together allowing the user to lift the rock up without it breaking up. The power used to bring their fists down tightens the particles within the rock making it easier for the user to lift. Depending on the rank of the technique, the user may know depends on the capability of this technique, as in how much rock can be lifted. When the user learns the "C" rank version the user is able to lift up only two meters in diameter of earth and rock before chunking it towards an opponent at a good distance of thirty meters. When the user learns the "B" rank version of this technique the user is able to rip up a good four meters of rock and earth while chunking it at a good distance of twenty-five meters. When the user learns the "A" rank version of this technique the user is able to rip out a good chunk of rock and earth at a good distance of eight meters while the user is able to chunk it at a good distance of twenty meters. When the user learns the "S" rank version of this technique the user is able to grab and rip up a chunk of earth at a distance of eighteen meters while the user is only able to launch it at a good distance of fifteen meters. When the user activates their Chaos however the user is indeed able to launch the Rock further adding a good distance of five meters per eye level.

Effect: The user slams their fists into the ground quickly launching a massive wave of rock and gravel towards the opponent sending large amounts of rock to them by pure force.

Drawback: ---
Description: The user takes their hands and balls them up into fists. While doing so they quickly raise their hands up and slams their fists down into the ground. Doing so sends of flurry of rock and gravel upwards sending them towards the opponent in a straight line. Depending on the rank the user may know depends on the devastating power this technique has. This technique also depends on the user’s class level of power as well. When the user first learns this technique the user is capable of sending a shock wave by pure force in the distance of two meters wide, but at a distance of ten meters. This technique launches gravel and rocks towards the opponent as well with an added distance of debris of five extra meters. For every rank the user learns this technique increases by one meter wide, and five meters in distance. This gives the base total of five meters wide, twenty five meters in distance, with an added debris of twenty meters past the twenty five. For every class level the user may be starting as a “C” class the distance is added at an extra five meters in length, with one meter in width. This technique is used to de-moral opponents while crush them with large hoards of rock and gravel capable of crushing opponents or causing great harm. For every level of Chaos the user activates the distance increases by five meters.

Eternal Breathe [10][40][80][100]

Effect: A technique where the user uses their impeccable body and adaptation to where the user is able to hold their breathe longer then that of a normal human being.
Special: User holds their breathe
Drawback: Rapid movement reduces time by two minutes.
Description: Depending on the user's rank, and class depends on how long a user is able to hold their breathe. A Kamyuja is able to hold their breathe much longer then that of a normal human being. The average human being is able to hold their breathe at two minutes and thirty seconds.

• "C" - User is able to hold their breathe for six minutes.
• "B" - User is able to hold their breathe for ten minutes.
• "A" - User is able to hold their breathe for fourteen minutes.
• "S" - User is able to hold their breathe for eighteen minutes.

For every class level the user is higher then that of "D" the minutes increase by two minutes.

Description: This Jutsu in no way reveals why the target feels guilty, only that it does. This Jutsu has a range of 7 meters plus 6 meters per Class Level. Target is 1 Creature per Class Level. Duration is Concentration, up to 5 rounds per Class Level. The level of guilt a creature feels has little to do with whatever act causes the creature's guilty feelings. A serial killer might feel no guilt for the brutal murders they commit, for example, while a maid might feel strong guilt about forgetting to mop the kitchen floor. Good creatures typically feel greater amounts of guilt than neutral creatures, who in turn usually feel more guilt than evil creatures. These generalizations cannot guarantee how a creature reacts to its own actions, but they give a general guideline. Aura Power Faint: Has occasional pangs of guilt. Aura Power Moderate: Stomach-churning guilt; worries about what happened. Aura Power Strong: Loses sleep over what happened obsesses about it. Aura Power Overwhelming: Wants to take rash actions to avoid feeling the guilt.

Description: The amount of information revealed depends on how long you study a particular area. Range of this Jutsu is 20 meters cone-shaped emanation. Duration is Concentration, up to 5 minutes per Class Level.

• 1st Round: Presence or absence of aberrations.
• 2nd Round: Number of aberrations in the area and the strength of the strongest aberration's aura. If the strongest aberration aura's strength is overwhelming (see below) and the creature has double the user's Training Points, the user stunned for 1 round and the Jutsu ends.
• 3rd Round: The strength and location of each aberration's aura. If an aura is outside the user's line of sight, then the user may discern its direction but not its exact location.

Aura Strength: The strength of an aberration's aura is determined by the HD of the aberration, as given on the following list:

• "D" and "C" Class: Faint
• "B" Class: Moderate
• "A" Class: Strong
• "S" Class: Overwhelming

Unlike similar Jutsus, Detect Aberration does not reveal lingering Auras. Each round, the user can turn to detect aberrations in a new area.

Performing Jutsu is equal to a Movement in Handseals of Jutsu. Using their advanced abilities of Sensor, the user is able to identify an Elemental Release when the opponent begins to perform handseals. This allows the user to know what form of attack is going to be applied before it happens. User must learn multiple times. Each time learned the user may recognize and identify an additional Elemental Release. User must learn Rank equal to Rank of Release. Example: User wishes to learn Detect Elemental Release for Fire Release. User must learn "C" Rank version of Detect Elemental Release for Fire Release.

If the Class Point is equal to the user's, the user must make a Class Level Check (1d20 + Class Level) versus the Save of the Jutsu. The Amount of information revealed depends on how long the user studies a particular area or subject.

• 1st Round: Presence or absence of illusions.
• 2nd Round: Number of different Illusions.
• 3rd round: The location of each illusion.

This Jutsu tells the user only that illusions are present, not exactly what those illusions are, but knowledge that illusions are present give the user an automatic +20 circumstance bonus to identify Illusions with a Chakra Lore.

Effect: Basic and most diverse movement of Capoeira.

Description: Picture Ginga is the basic footwork of Capoeira. The movement itself varies. The technique shows the basic variation of Ginga however individuals have their own way of doing Ginga. Ginga begins in the middle position with both of their hands are up to the front of the user's body. The user brings the left leg back and swaps the weight momentarily mainly to the ball of the back of the left foot. At this point the left arm is up in front of the torso as defense. From here the user pushes off the ball of the back foot to middle position again. User brings the right foot back, resting the weight on the ball of the back right foot. User swaps arms so the right arm is in front in defense. Ginga is an important movement and is the cement that holds diverse parts of Capoeira together. Unlike cement, however, Ginga is fluid. The user can Ginga whenever they feel like it as all the techniques bind well together. The Ginga allows the user to keep rhythm; it is a dance step, but it is not a robotic step. Ginga the user can move all around, slip under moves, do their kicks and Esquivas, and explore the unlimited diversity of movements in Capoeira. Ginga can also be used to change direction if the user is doing a sequence of turning kicks.

Effect: Variation of the most diverse movement of Capoeira.

Description: Variation of Ginga that may be performed in a low position. The user keeps their arms largely to the fore, their legs are very bent throughout the cycle, their torso sways from left to right and the user stays small and leaning closely over their thighs. The user must try to vary their Ginga to find what suits them best. Even when the user is pushing off the back foot, most of their weight is centered over the front foot. If the user is fighting against someone who stays low and is constantly down near the ground, then it can be useful to lower the Ginga so that the user is poised to strike at the opponent where they are fighting. This increases freedom to move unencumbered in an area, as the user is already low and better prepared for the low techniques such as Cabeçada, Rolé, Cocorinha, Rabo de Arraia, Negativa Lateral, Rasteira, etc.
Limit: Must learn from a Master of Capoeira. Must know Ginga.

Description: This technique does not count against the user's Release Training Points. Ice release allows the user to freely create and manipulate ice by simultaneously combining Wind, and Water-based Chakra. Depending on the user, Ice Release can be extremely resistant to fire-based attacks, only melting slightly when coming into contact with flames. Additionally, any nearby water is an advantage, as the user can simply freeze that water to create ice. Any Save Difficulty mentioned in a technique, whether Fortitude or Will is based off of 10 + 2 per Class Level + Impeccable Will. Some Ice Release techniques need pre-existing ice, snow, or water nearby in order to be used. Techniques that require a small source of snow or ice nearby is measured between 1.5 to 6 cubic meters. Medium is measured between 6 to 30 cubic meters. Large is measured between 30 cubic meters to 350 cubic meters. Huge is measured between 350 cubic meters to 1,500 cubic meters. Colossal is measured by anything more than 1,500 cubic meters.

Description: This technique does not count against the user's Release Training Points. Earth Release is one of the basic elemental nature transformation techniques and allows the user to manipulate the surrounding earth for offensive and defensive purposes or create it; be it dirt, mud, or rock. Earth Release techniques have the ability to change the strength and composition of the earth from being as hard as metal to as soft as clay, as well as manipulating their density, making them heavier or lighter. This includes allowing the user to travel through ground and rock in various ways which can be essential for both transportation and for setting up attacks or creating defences or for offence. Any Save Difficulty mentioned in a technique, whether Fortitude or Will is based off of 10 + 2 per Class Level + Impeccable Will. Some Earth Release techniques need pre-existing g earth nearby in order to be used. Techniques that require a small source of earth nearby is measured between 1.5 to 6 cubic meters. In addition to being dealt damage, a creature struck by the user's weapon must succeed on a Fortitude save or become dehydrated. Description: Range of this technique is 7 meters + 6 meters per Class Level. Area of effect is 15 square meters per Class Level. Duration of this technique is instantaneous. This technique requires a huge source of earth nearby. When this Jutsu is performed, all natural, undressed earth or stone in the Jutsu's area is softened. Wet earth becomes thick mud, dry earth becomes loose sand or dirt, and stone becomes soft clay that is easily molded or chopped. User affects a 15-meter square area to a depth of 1 to 2 meters, depending on the toughness or resilience of the ground at that spot. Chakra, enchanted, dressed, or worked stone cannot be affected. Earth or stone creatures are not affected. A creature in mud must evade or be caught for 1d2 rounds and unable to move, attack, or perform Jutsus. Loose dirt is not as troublesome as mud, but all creatures in the area can move at only half their movements and cannot run or charge over the surface. Stone softened into clay does not hinder movement, but it does allow characters to cut, shape, or excavate areas they may not have been able to affect before. For example, a party of adventurers trying to break out of a cavern might use this Jutsu to soften a wall. While soften earth and stone does not affect dressed or worked stone, cavern ceilings or vertical surfaces such as cliff faces can be affected. Usually, this causes a moderate collapse or landslide as the loosened material peels away from the face of the wall or roof and falls. A moderate amount of structural damage can be dealt to a manufactured structure (such as a wall or a tower) by softening the ground beneath it, causing it to settle. However, most well-built structures will only be damaged by this Jutsu, not destroyed.

Description: Range of this technique is Personal. Duration of this technique is concentration up to 5 rounds per Class Level + 1 minute. The user gains the tremorsense 10 meters extraordinary ability for the duration of the technique. User may learn this technique up to 3 times. Each time increases the tremorsense by 10 meters. Tremorsense is sensitive to vibrations in the ground and can automatically pinpoint the location of anything that is in contact with the ground and within range. If no straight path exists through the ground from the creature to those that it's sensing, then the range defines the maximum distance of the shortest indirect path. It must itself be in contact with the ground, and the creatures must be moving. As long as the other creatures are taking physical actions, including performing Jutsus with Handseal components, they are considered moving; they don't have to move from place to place for a creature with tremorsense to detect them. This technique requires a small source of large nearby. A swirling mass of thick dust spreads out from the point the user designates. This dust severely limits visibility, creates a constant droning noise, and blocks scent, granting concealment against all senses (including special senses such as tremorsense) for anything entirely within its area (but not to Large or bigger creatures and objects only partially within the Jutsu's area). Creatures with concealment gain a 20% miss chance against successful attacks and can make Stealth checks, as outlined in the normal rules for concealment. This Jutsu cannot be negated by high winds, and is fully functional underwater. User may choose to double the Jutsu's radius when performed, at the cost of reducing its duration to 2 rounds per Class Level.

A cloud of earthly particles covers everyone and everything in the area, causing creatures to become blinded and visibly outlining invisible things for the duration of the Jutsu. All within the area are covered by the dust, which cannot be removed and continues to sparkle until it fades. Each round at the end of their turn blinded creatures may attempt a Will Save to end the blindness effect. Any creature covered by the dust takes a -200 penalty on Stealth checks.

Description: Range of this technique is 7 meters + 6 meters per Class Level. Area of effect is 6-meter-radius emanation. Duration of this technique is concentration + 1 round. This technique requires a medium source of earth nearby. This technique can only be used on soft ground. Using this technique, the user creates a patch of quicksand that lasts for as long as the user concentrates on the technique, plus one round. Quicksand (standard rules): Patches of quicksand present a deceptively solid appearance (appearing as undergrowth or open land) that may trap careless characters. A typical patch of quicksand is 6 meters in diameter; the momentum of a charging or running character carries them 2 meters into the quicksand. Effects of Quicksand: Characters in quicksand must make a Swim Good check (Difficult) every round to simply tread water in place, or a Swim check (Very Difficult) to move 2 meters in whatever direction is desired. If a trapped character fails this check by 25 or more, they sink below the surface and begin to drown whenever they can no longer hold their breath. Characters below the surface of a bog may swim back to the surface with a successful Swim Good check (Extremely Difficult, +5 per consecutive round of being under the surface). Rescue: Pulling out a character trapped in quicksand can be difficult. A rescuer needs a branch, spear haft, rope, or similar tool that enables him to reach the victim with one end of it. Then they must make a Break check (15) to successfully pull the victim, and the victim must make a Break check (10) to hold onto the branch, pole, or rope. If the victim fails to hold on, they must make a Swim Good check (Very Difficult) immediately to stay above the surface. If both checks succeed, the victim is pulled 2 meters closer to safety.

This technique causes the ground and everything on and around it to be sucked in towards the middle of a large pit, much like the method an antlion uses to catch prey. Upon being dragged to the centre, the victim will then be sucked underground while being dealt 12 Armour Points of damage per Class Level. The area of effect is 15 meter radius burst per Class Level, with a depth of 4 meters per Class Level. There the victim, depending on how deep the user makes them sink, will be trapped and/or suffocated. Antlion lasts for 5 rounds per Class Level before settling. If the user is on anything other than natural terrain (i.e., a floor, stairs, a boat, etc.) at the time of performing, the Jutsu fails. If anything other than natural terrain occupies the destination point, the Jutsu fails.

The user causes a veritable storm of small, piercing earthly projectiles to rain from the air. This Jutsu deals 15 Armour Points of damage to each creature in the area. In addition, each creature in the area is knocked prone and immobilized by spines pinning it to the floor. A creature immobilized by spines is considered entangled and cannot move from its area for 5 rounds per Class Level; a 20 Break check or Extremely Difficult Escape Artist check allows it to break free and end the secondary effect.

Description: Wind release is 1 of the 5 basic elemental nature transformations. Most offensive Wind Release techniques are performed by making chakra as sharp and thin as possible, however, wind can also be generated as a large, concussive force to overwhelm a target. Wind-based techniques are mainly short to mid-ranged offensive techniques that combine brute force and keen precision to deal slashing damage. Wind Release also specifies in deflecting and even reflecting attacks. Wind Techniques come in 7 Wind Effects, which interfere with ranged attacks, or impose penalties on some skill checks. Wind Effects are described in the Combat section of the Player's Handbook under Weather in the Movement and Position section. The impression created by a Phantasm exists only in the mind and is personalized for everyone perceiving it. All phantasms are therefore, Mind-Affecting Jutsus. Nightmare is a good example of such a Phantasm. If you want to keep your actions secret from everyone but your subjects, Phantasm is a good choice, whether you want to frighten or to deliver a message.

Patterns, like Figments and Glamours, produce sensory impressions, and everyone within range perceives the same thing. Patterns contain an additional, mind-affecting element, and they can cause real, physiological effects. All patterns are Mind-Affecting Jutsus. While everyone sees a color spray, only some of those within the cone actually deal with its effects. Note: that a particular sense is required for patterns to have an effect. Sightless creatures ignore Color Spray, for instance. If you want multiple subjects to be affected by what they see, and you do not care if everyone perceives it happening, pattern might be a good choice.
