His elbows would rest at his knees as he listened in and watched the two. From my current information it would seem as if they are friends in a bitter battle with one another....I suppose it's nothing to worry about really....I should continue my training

Laokou saw the fireball coming at him quickly, so he made his clones leap into the way. When the fireball hit the clones they burst into puddles and educed the fireball into a few meager embers, which Laokou easily knocked away with his hands.

Laokou then paused as he was too far from his opponent at this point for Soku to hit him with any close range attacks, and he began to speak. "Soku, it isn't good for us to spar when you're emotionally distressed like this, you know that, remember what happened last time." Laokou then looked at Soku's leg, which was taped for combat, although Laokou knew that there was a scar there.

Laokou walked to the opposite end of the cavern and began to resume his training on one of the limestone pillars. he sprinted at the pillar, leaping once he was in range and performing a swift rib-level kick with his left leg followed by a transfer of the momentum through a simple hip twist to perform a kick with his right leg at head-level, and then landing on the ground on one knee.

Soku, you need to stay calm. maybe you should live more carefree like I do, or at least don't dwell in the past. I can't seem to make you understand that she isn't going to come back no matter how hard you wish it or how many tears you shed. Stay strong my friend, stay strong.....

Laokou Placed his right hand over his right leg and began to heal the bruises on his leg from hitting a solid stone pillar at full force. He felt much better as a familiar warm feeling set into his leg, and so he repeated the process to his left leg , knowing it had sustained just as much punishment from the hard stone.

Now that he was healed, Laokou figured it was time to give those water clones another shot. If he could practice on something more like a human body it would help his training more, not to mention the fact that it would feel much better to hit a water clone than it would a stone pillar, so he made his necessary hand seals and then performed the jutsu....."Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu." He said as three water clones formed from the puddles on the cavern floor.

Alright, i should be able to perform this technique easily after a few more tries. Now for the first water clone to step up and let me make my attempt. Laokou thought to himself as the first clone stepped in front of the other two. Laokou then sprinted at the clone with the same quick leap followed by a kick to the ribs with his left leg, a momentum transfer, and a kick to the clone's head with his right leg. With that the first clone fell to its previous state as a puddle on the cavern floor.

The second then stepped forward, and Laokou ran towards it with the same speed and intent. by his movements it was obvious that he was beginning to get somewhat fatigued, but he pressed on. This maneuver came the same as the last, a leaping kick with his left, followed by a rotational kick with his right, with both kicks hitting their mark on the targeted areas of the water clone. The splashed to a puddle as Laokou set on one knee, catching his breath for just a second.

As he turned around the third clone moved into place, where he performed the motions of the jutsu a third time as he yelled out "Fanged Pincer!" and with a quick Swoosh! Swoosh! Splash! the third clone had been destroyed and Laokou sat down to take a breather.

Description: The ninja gathers air with his hands and mixes it with chakra, by doing this he transforms them into sharp and deadly needles. The needles are almost invisible so it is hard for the enemies to see them. Because the needles are made of air they cannot be blocked or deflected. The only way to ensure safety is to dodge them.
Limit: Wind Release

Shortly after catching his breath, Laokou remembered that he had a second elemental release that he had been trained in by his parents. It was the wind release. What kind of technique could he use with the wind element though?
Something that uses the wind's best qualities. It had to be silent and nearly invisible to the naked eye.

As he leaned up against the wall to think he stumbled over one of the smaller stalagmites and fell. When Laokou hit the ground some of his ninja supplies spilled out of his pouch. As he picked up the items and placed them back into the pouch, something dawned on him. Senbon were the perfect example of what he was looking for in a wind technique. Senbon are almost silent, fairly hard to see especially at a distance. This is the technique he wanted for the wind release.

What would he practice the technique on once he figured out the best way to perform it? More water clones were out of the question since Laokou didn't want to use any more of his chakra, and training on the limestone pillars wouldn't be pierced by a low level wind technique used by someone currently inexperienced with the wind release. After a few moments of deliberation he decided to train on the pillars anyway, as he had now set a goal to at least pierce or chip a piece of the pillar away before he was done with the jutsu.

Laokou then began to focus his chakra into his finger tips, then into some wind as he formed four wind senbon in each hand. As he tried to maintain the senbon he noticed it was similar to a medical technique in the amount of control it took to put a decent amount of chakra into such a small space.

He began to concentrate as much as he could, placing his full focus into the wind needles. They finally smoothed and straightened out in his hand and he was ready to throw them. he then launched all eight of the needles at a single point on the limestone pillar. His arms formed an x pattern in front of him as he threw the needles. As they sped towards their target, Laokou wandered if they'd do any damage to the earthen tower at all.

All the needles hit the center of the pillar and dissipated after the impact. Laokou approached his target and looked at it closely for any type of scratch or chip on the surface. He hadn't managed to even scratch the hardened rock. This brought about a need for another attempt as Laokou had already set his goal to causing some kind of damage to the pillar. it was obviously time for another try at this technique.

Laokou focused some more chakra into his hands as he gathered the cold wind of the cavern and formed it into eight more senbon. he then launched them at the pillar in the same manner. Yet again he walked up to the stone and examined it for any damage. There was still nothing, just like the previous attack.

He then decided to throw the needles with all his might, and to put a slightly larger amount of chakra into them to give them more power in hopes of succeeding this time. He formed another set of needles and threw them at the pillar. After the needles hit and dissipated into the air Laokou went to survey the damage, if any, to the rock. Even after a third try, this one more powerful than the previous ones, his attack failed to do what he intended.

He then decided to try something else. If power wouldn't work, then maybe a fast, relentless attack would cause the rock so much stress that it would break. It had to, since after this Laokou would be out of ideas. He just took a deep breath and stepped back from the pillar.

Yet again he focused chakra into his hands and formed needles of wind. This time was different though, as he formed and threw the needles as fast as his body would let him. he continued on for several minutes. After the first few seconds his arms began to hurt from the combination of the strain from both his chakra usage and his arm movement speed. He stopped only after he had made his arms too tired to move at the moment.

He approached the pillar again, this time with a smile on his face. Even though it took all of his arm strength to do it, he had chipped a piece about two inches in diameter from the pillar. since earth naturally had an elemental advantage over wind, this was a good stride for Laokou in the use of the wind release.

I stumbled across the landscape, a headache replacing my thoughts with groans as I continued through the rocky caverns of Takigakure, crashing into the embankments occasionally. Soon enough, I saw a boy before me. Removing my hand from my head, I walked casually up to him, the water caressing the soles of my sandals. I stood before the boy, hands finding their way to my hips as I spoke to this boy.

''What might you be doing here, training all alone...?''

I spoke the sentence quite clearly, my voice repeating itself via the echos of the walls that surrounded us.

''Surely you want someone to have fun with. Spar?''

Grinning, the top three unseeable buttons of my ebon cloak were opened, the cold air immediately swarming over my bare chest. If this boy had even the slightest idea what would happen to him if he turned the offer down, he would know it was wise to say yes, and merely take a beating.

Laokou had been resting for a bit now, and as he looked up to the stranger he stepped in front of him. Laokou then spoke...."For what reason are you hear and what is your name?" Laokou kept a stern look and a calm demeanor as he questioned this person, unsure of what they might do.

He only then took a deep breath and waited for some kind of response. He took a step or two back in the cave, and prepared for anything. The water was dripping from several stalactites, which had formed many puddles on the ground.

"Someone to have fun with.....?" He mumbled under his breath as the situation began to intensify. He didn't know what to expect from this man, so he tried to stay on the "edge" so to speak, in order to get his adrenaline pumping.

I shot forward at my highest speed, pushing myself off of one of the nature crafted pillars and crashing back down towards the boy, only to land beside him on my hands, flip over him and bring a diagonal slash down his side with my katana. All done with the shunshin no jutsu, [1/3] increasing my speed to that of sound.

Then, arms flailing lifelessly to my side, I darted towards him in a drill like manner, if you will, attempting a feet first ram to his head, most likely knocking him back quite a bit. If he had taken the hit from the katana earlier, it would make it very hard to escape.[/size]

After just a moment of his opponent "disappearing" Laokou knew what had happened. He quickly did the shunshin no jutsu himself in order to come to a matching level of speed to his foe. As he did this he pulled out both of his windmill shurikens, keeping hem folded up and holding them like they were two very wide daggers. He crossed the blades in an X pattern to block the slash to his side. If his opponent continued with their second assault Lakou would swiftly perform the Suiton – Suirou no Jutsu as he dropped to his back to avoid the attack, hoping to capture his foe.

OOC:there is someone else in this thread currently, however he has been inactive for quite some time so i don't expect him to return any time soon.

Description: Suirou no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes water to imprison an opponent. The ninja forms the necessary hand seals which causes the water to form around the target into a spherical prison which only allows for limited movement. The ninja must keep their body touching the water prison to maintain its existence. If the contact is broken, the water falls away and their target is released. When combined with a bushin technique, the ninja can imprison their target but still allow for a clone to attack others nearby.

The second my opponent disappeared, I began to clap, not performing a single attack on him. ''Well done. You dodged an attack that was seemingly inescapable.'' With that, I would chuck a single kunai, explosive tag wrapped to it, into a wall. Then, setting it off, the walls began to cave in.

''Come. I am putting both our lives to the test. Lets have fun.''

Outstretching my arm for him to follow, I smiled sweetly. If this went OK, nobody would die in this place today.

Laokou began to think for a moment after hearing the words of this stranger...What in the world is he thinking? For what purpose does this fight serve?

Laokou would swiftly unfold one of the windmill shurikens and throw it to deflect the kunai behind his foe. "Please do not destroy my place of training. It has sentimental value to me...." he would say as the windmill returned to him and he caught it.

He then awaited his foe's next move, not sure why this fight was happening or who this stranger was.

More rubble fell, littering the ground and lessening their chance of escape second by second. I sighed, and withdrew his hand. ''The reason I am doing this is to test whether the people of this village are true shinobi. Right now, you are proving not to be. Emotions are not a good thing for a shinboi to have. Erase those feelings for this location. Erase the whole knowledge of it from your very mind if you must. There are many other places here. Now come, we have little time.'' I knew that we would not live if we continued this mindless banter. We needed to get out fast.

Quickly, I drew my sword and sliced a rock falling to my head clean in half. ''Quick!'' We had to leave. . .[/size]

Laokou knew this was true, and although it pained his heart to see the place where he trained with his parents so long ago, he knew it was the right thing to do if he wanted to be the best shinobi he could. He spoke before using the shunshin no jutsu into the underwater tunnel to the back of his house. "i don't know who you are, but you need to follow me to my house. I fell it would be best if we talked a bit before continuing our battle." And with these words he disappeared into the water tunnel.
