Morning time, this was the occasion the boy had prepared for since graduating from the academy. He felt that his skills were adequate enough to challenge those he would compete with in the exams and also felt that his mind would be sharp enough to get though any difficult challenges. In his bedroom the boy had prepared his bag with extra clothes, weapons, food, anything possible that would need to be taken on the trip there. A small sigh escaped from the boy's lips as he finished packing the bag and closed it, picking it up and putting it on over his back. He walked over to his wall to remove the twin kodaichi he placed on the wall, his favourite possessions. The Uchiha carefully sheathed them and put both on the left side of his hip, where they always were when he left home or trained. Nothing left to do here, Murata walked out and closed the door behind him, walking through the kitchen and for the door outside. His father and mother stood in this room looking down at him with the door open, they knew how important this was to him and gave their support. They exchanged good byes and Murata walked outside of the door.
While walking down the road of Kumo, he thought back to his days at the academy, he had been the top member of that class, but had made several enemies due to his brash attitude. Murata didn't care for he saw his words as truthful, those who didn't have the work ethic or talent to keep up with him were the ones who needed to be taught a lesson in his mind. The precious few who had gained his respect were those who did have that extra desire, the will to achieve and would find the advantages to do so. One recently was his partner, Himiko, who he was supposed to meet on the way there. He remembered clearly every detail of that mission, she had been even more meticulous than he when coming to the mission and that made him respect her a bit more. That was also the first time he had seen puppets used in combat like that, and if he were to come across another puppet user he would be prepared with the information gained.
The boy looked around the main city for a bit before heading for the gate, the same place they had met the first time. He had woken early to avoid whatever 'traffic' may come from the other genin heading for Cha no Kuni and hoped to get there with plenty of time to become familiar with the country. The instructions he had been given were that within Tea the Mainland was where registrations took place. That was probably the place where he would meet the genin of the other countries, he had studied into them and knew what to expect for the most part.
Arriving at the main gate that led out of the village, Murata nodded towards the guards and told them of his departure for the chuunin exams, they understood and would allow him to pass when he was ready. He would stand and wait for Himiko to come, it was still early so he wasn't too worried with being in a rush.
