Personality: Last he was seen on the continent, Ryo was an introvert. However, his return has changed him. He spent his time training in large metropolises, and has thus been forced to change. He has realized since then that his powers were not evil, but a true gift. He has since trained his Taijutsu in bone battle, causing him to be more in touch with himself. Ryo is now much the way he was born to be.
Ryo is rather outgoing, and is comfortable being around new people. Despite his very odd appearance, he is very capable of fitting into a crowd. In combination with this, he always talks to people he doesn't know, forming new friendships and learning from others. This has made him rather knowledgeable about the world around him, and he has also picked up on several pieces of wisdom through his travels. It has also given him a large connection to many distant countries.
On the obverse, he is also capable of completely altering his personality. The moment he puts on his Hunter's mask, he changes. He has no emotion. Every single word spoken bears a slightly familiar lilt (indigenous to the Kaguyas), yet it bears no emotion. In fact, it has been said that Ryo so perfectly captures the Hunter way, one could barely tell there is a living, breathing being beneath the mask.
As for Ryo's battle skills, well, that is where he is truly at home. Part of an old Kaguya gene that craves battle, Ryo seems to enter a trance when fighting. His mind seems to fragment, his 'battlemind' takes complete control. His vision fragments, his eyes seeing only the points where is enemies are vulnerable. His arms and legs seem to have a flow to them, acting in a perfect dance of bone. However, he hasn't gained any of the official Kaguya dances, severely limiting his control over this technique.
Appearance: Ryo has changed drastically over the past year. His hair, previously only neck-length, is now a white braid that falls to the small of his back. This braid is tied, amazingly enough, with bone. Ryo has carved his own bone with a hardened version of his own arm bones. Peeling off individual layers, he altered his bone into a long thread.
His face has changed as well. Aside from the obvious aging, he also has had more subtle changes. Although he was previously very 'hard-looking,' his face has gradually grown softer. This has carried over to his eyes, although he still has the characteristic red rings. He has also hired a tattoo artist to give him the symbol of his clan, a pair of red dots on the forehead. This look makes Ryo look much more like a Kaguya.
As for his clothing, it has obviously changed. Having hit his growth spurt, Ryo grew over 5 inches in a single year, and also gained 20 pounds. Naturally, his clothing would have to change as well. Taking away his scarlet shirt in favour of a more practical navy blue one, he also wears a white T-shirt underneath. His pants, made for working in both summer and winter, have largely stayed the same, but are now in a larger size. Another thing that has been enlarged but still remains the same is his unofficial Shinobi Hunter's mask.
Ryo has now dropped his rapiers in favor of bone blades. However, these blades can be used both in the hands or attached to his wrists via a strap. The rest of his gear is still kept in a satchel.

History: Ryo’s birth was lucky for both him and his parents. If he had been born a few days later, the Kaguya clan would have been on the battlefield, and his mother would have been killed, along with himself. Fortunately, he was not, and his parents realized that he would be in grave danger on the battlefield. Finally, they decided that rather then simply let him die, they left him in with another family in the Mist Village, not letting them catch on to his Kaguya heritage.
He was raised with this family for about four years, until he exhibited his Kaguya bone abilities briefly. Previously, his parents had no idea, but when they saw his bones, they feared riot. The Mist Village had always feared the return of the Kaguya clan, so his "parents" feared he would be killed, as well as themselves. Considering their options, they decided to leave him in the Fire Village, travelling by boat. A few days later, they staged a fake drowning, then left.
Ryo's foster parents quickly relocated him from village to village, each time his new foster parents forcing him to move to a new area. Eventually he settled down in the Waterfall village with a new family. He confided in them first about his bone abilities, and they promised that most would not mind in the Waterfall Village, but years of prejudice had taught him to hide his powerful gift. He did, however, buy two bone-like blades, made to mimic bone to avoid using his powers. He uses these in place of real bone, but fights as if they protrude from his wrist, rather than as they are (strapped on).
To help out with honing his very rough knowledge of bone attacks, his parents pulled a few strings and discovered a hermit-like member of the Kaguya clan. Ryo was awed to meet him and learn more about his clans bloody past, as well as several bone-based jutsus. After nearly a year of Academy-level training, as well as bone working, Ryo returned to his foster family. He was well received, and returned to the Academy. He fought hard, and aspired to become a Shinobi Hunter.
After finishing the Academy, Ryo stayed in the Village only briefly. Only a month or so later, he disappeared to hone his skills in a distant land. Recently, he has reappeared, ready to learn more.
