With no exciting missions offered, Aaron sought out the head beekeeper. It was midday so she would not be at home, rather she'd be tending to the bee farms hidden in a special field on the outskirts of the village. The field hid most of the honeybee hives of the Kamizuru clan and was a source for most of the village's honey. Due to the Kage's order, the bee farms couldn't be run in the village due to many bee sting medical emergencies.
It was obvious why when Aaron arrived at the field. To keep trespassers out hornets and wasps buzzed continuously around the entire field protecting the honeybees within. While non-clan members may have a challenge getting in, the hornets and wasps left Aaron alone sensing the different types of bees within him. Standing among the thousands of bees buzzing around stood several people overseen by one lady – the head beekeeper. "Hello queen of the beekeepers," Aaron said. It was her favorite nickname while in the field.
"Greetings Aaron," she said distantly more concerned about her bees than Aaron.
"I want to learn the Dekiagari Hana. Will you teach me?" While not much of a ninja, she had learned many of the clan Jutsus especially those related to beekeeping.
"I don't have time right now." Turning to one of the male workers she shouted to be heard over the buzzing, "Don't drop that honeycomb!"
"Please," Aaron begged. "I need to become stronger."
"Oh very well but on one condition," she said. Aaron nodded. "I'll show you the Jutsu but to master it," she stopped pointing to a hive separate from the rest, "I want you to attract a queen bee to that hive." Aaron nodded following her to a small patch of grass separate from the hives. "I'm only showing you once." Looking at the nearby trees and back at her hives she began, "Tiger, Boar, Horse," forming the signs quickly with her hand. For a moment, nothing happened and then from the forest a variety of bees came forth including some from the nearest hive.
The bees circled around before she released them back to their homes. "And that's all there is to it. One hint, your chakra output determines which bee you'll attract. Finding the scent for the queen bee is up to you. "As she went back to her hives, she turned and smiled saying, "Oh and expect to get stung."
Now it was Aaron's turn. Carefully concentrating his chakra Aaron formed the signs and said, "Tiger, Boar, Horse." Nothing happened but a few minutes later a couple sickly bees emerged from the woods. "Useless," Aaron muttered releasing the bees. Trying again he said, "Tiger, Boar, Horse," releasing a bit more chakra. Rising up from the ground several yellow jackets appeared. Apparently angry they stung at his feet, only one piercing his shoe. "I'll get it this time." Forming the handseals Aaron released a huge amount of chakra. Almost instantly he got a reaction, wasps came pouring out of the forest attracted to the scent. They were not happy even after being released from control. Several proceeded to sting Aaron repeatedly causing him to use his hands to shield his face. Content for the moment the wasps flew away. This continued for several hours with Aaron summoning all different types of bees except for the one he wanted.
Frustrated, Aaron took a breather letting the sun hit him and the numerous poison dissipate before he collapsed. As Aaron laid down he could see the different types of flowers between the hives and throughout the area. He watched slowly as several honeybees flocked to different types of flowers. The hornets and wasps each did their own thing attracted to their own scent. Another type of bee emerged from a hole in the ground. Just lying on the ground for hours Aaron watched as the bugs all flocked to what interested them. Then the beekeeper's message hit him. The different chakra levels she talked about must emit different scents. Then he saw a bee larger than the rest flock to a winter rose. That's it!
Going up to a different winter rose Aaron smelled it until he could recall the smell from memory. Aaron went to the vacant beehive. Concentrating his chakra again he performed the proper hand signs and while taking a big breath concentrated on his chakra emission. Smelling carefully as he changed the chakra amount he eventually found the scent of winter rose. Holding the chakra constant the bee he saw earlier eventually flew over to him. Pushing his chakra into the beehive the queen followed it and he ordered it to stay. There he lay down exhausted as the beekeeper came over, the setting sun casting an orange hue on the hives. "I did it," Aaron said meekly.
"It looks like you learned how the Justu works. Congratulations." Pausing for a moment she asked, "Oh by the way how many times were you stung?"
"About a hundred," Aaron responded meekly too tired to sit up.
"I see. Well tomorrow, you should see about getting a queen bee for your gourd as well. Grow a hive there and then release the bees to a new wild spot. It's how we ensure this area stays populated with bees, and it provides a nice safety net if you run into trouble." The beekeeper left, leaving Aaron to think on what he learned. While collapsed the sun set leaving Aaron to sleep fitfully as the poisons adapted to his body.
