Both lances seemed to be faster, which was a pleasant surprise. This was supposed to be a defensive jutsu after all, so more speed meant that it would defend her quicker. The female eyed both of the lances to see how far they could go. After 20 meters, they started to weaken down. This meant that it was time to let them explode and see what happened.

Marii did the handseal for tag activation with her left hand and covered her face with her right, just in case. Both lances exploded with a semi-loud BLAM! She lowered her right arm and decided to see what had happened to the surroundings. The first one to be checked on was the lance that had gone north. It would not be too long until she had learned this jutsu anyways.

She paid a bit attention to her steps in order to measure the distance. ‘In cases like this, I wish I had one of those range finders’ thought the young woman and let out a sigh. Perhaps she could buy one with one of the money she had got from her newest mission? She had quite a lot anyways, so maybe it was time to spend them on something else than the bare necessities. Now, the Jounin had arrived to the area where the first lance had exploded.

A soil crater that was about a foot in length, ten inches in width and about eight inches in depth had appeared. This made her eyes widen a lot; she had not expected the damages to be that big! ‘Holy Kami…had I been hit with this attack, I would be rather dead by now. Or received some heavy damage like burns and maybe paralyzation’ thought the female. This jutsu started to look more like an “A”-rank to her now, which was good.

Next, it was time to check how the south-east lance had done. She went back to her starting point and went in the direction that the other lance had flied off to. ‘Perhaps I should try to make the fourth lance on my next attempt’ thought the sepia-haired woman while she jumped from tree to tree. She landed on the ground and tried to find the exact point where the lance had gone off. It did not take her long though.

A crater that was somewhat bigger than the previous one was right in front of a large tree told the tale. The young woman was satisfied and decided to check up on the last one. So far, the lances had managed to go about 25 meters before they exploded. This meant that it was about 20 meters left to add. But that was quite a distance. Would she do that in one try?

Marii crossed her fingers while she went south-west from her starting point. She still had a lot of chakra left, so she decided to do the rest of the work on the two next attempts. After she had walked 25 meters, she would find something that would shock her. A burned-up bush that looked like it had been hit by lightning stood almost by itself on a small path. It was rather obvious what had happened here…

Had her jutsu done THAT!? The bush was nothing more than some burned twigs, ash and the soil around it was charred, burned or both things at the same time. The female’s eyes widened when she realized just HOW much damage she had done and went back to the starting point. It was now time to make the fourth lance and make them a lot bigger. Ten times bigger than what they were now.

It would be hard, but Marii was determined to solve the problem right away. But first, she had to make the fourth lance and make all of them about six times bigger than what they were now. If she did everything at once, it would cause a disaster. And since this jutsu was rather powerful, she could not afford that. She took a deep breath and felt the chakra gather in her body.

Since a bigger amount was used this time, the young woman took her time and did not rush it. When the chakra had been molded, it was time for the handseals. Both hands begun to form them, which only took a couple of seconds! “Raiton! Tokeidai boueisen no jutsu!” said the Jounin and begun to form the four lances of her chakra. They were now seven feet long and were made out of solid electricity.

They looked a bit scary, but that was what they were supposed to. With a simple hand movement, the lances flied off to north, east, south and west almost at once. She kept a keen eye on the lances that were in her vision range. The female wanted to see just HOW far they could go this time. They flied about 35 meters before they exploded. It seemed like that was their maximum limit as for now.

But now, it was time to supersize the lances, make them go further and increase the strength a little bit as well. A huge amount of chakra was now molded in the sepia-haired woman’s body, but that could not be seen unless you had the Sharingan or Byakugan. Hands launched through the handseals in a rapid manner before a young woman’s voice rang through the forest. “Raiton! Tokeidai boueisen no jutsu!”. Four huge lances were now formed in the air, all of them made out of her chakra.

“IKUSE!” yelled Marii and sent of the lances towards their four respective directions. They were extremely fast, which made her eyes widen in surprise. Had she just MADE those things with her own power!? Those who were in her range exploded after 45 meters of travel, which was what she had expected. Now, it was time to take a closer look on the injuries that they had caused on the surroundings.

The results were a bit amazing. One of them had managed to burn away a patch of 2 feet tall grass with ease. Another had made a huge crater in the soil, which looked quite nasty. Number three had broken off some dents on a 3 feet tall rock while the last one had melted some snow that lay in the shadow of some big trees. The female grinned; this jutsu would be quite fun to use in combat.

Kouu bunshin no jutsu (Rainfall clones technique).

Effect: Creates up to five water-based clones that, based on Ninja Rank, may “evade” a number of attacks.

Drawback: Cannot use bunshin jutsu’s for 10 mins if “D” Rank, 9 mins if “C” Rank, 8 mins if “B” Rank, 7 mins if “A” Rank, and 6 mins if “S” Rank.
Description: A more advanced version of the Mizu bunshin no jutsu, the user gathers enough water to create up to five water clones. They act like normal water clones with one exception - there is a “limited pocket of chakra” within them that, after being struck and start to break apart, releases and reconstitutes the bunshin, making it seem as though the clone “broke into rain droplets, fell and remade itself.” As a “D”-Rank ninja, each clone has a one “reconstitution” pocket, “C”-Rank has two, “B”-Rank has three, “A”-Rank has four and “S”-Rank has five. The name “Rainfall” was given because when they are struck they break into rain drops falling from where they were.
Limit: Must know the Water Release; Chuunin-level Jutsu; only known by Amekage Kininata Hyouketsu; Can only be learned in Hidden Village of Rain.

The female tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and saw the snow fall from the white clouds that sailed above her. ‘Hm…time to keep the promise I gave to him’ thought Marii and looked down on the scroll in her hands. It was a quite good ninjutsu, except that she would not be able to make ANY bunshin clones for 6 minutes after she had used the kouu bunshin no jutsu.
‘However, these clones can reconstruct themselves five times and they are able to do all the suiton jutsus that I know. And that is great to know if I’m up against an enemy that uses doton or saton ninjutsus’ thought the young woman and let out a small sigh while her ice blue eyes darted back to the clouds above her.

It was time to get started…good thing that ninjutsu was not new to her; she had not learned anything new in months. She started to gather a decent amount of chakra and tried to concentrate on what the description printed on the scroll had told her.
‘I don’t know any bunshin jutsu where the clone can reconstruct, but I can try to make five clones for starters and see what happens. The result will not be that good, but I can try to power it up later on’ thought the Jounin. She lifted her hands and started on the handseals that were required for this custom suiton jutsu.

“Suiton! Kouu bunshin no jutsu!” said the female and spread her chakra into some nearby puddles that had been made by melted snow. After a few seconds, five clones were formed out of the water that laid there and looked at their creator with a neutral expression on their faces.
‘Right, time to test how strong they are’ thought the brunette and smiled before she pulled out the chisakatana that Tatsuya had given her for 3 years ago. The five clones lined up in a small queue and their expression was more serious now. A second later, some snow was kicked off the ground and the young woman darted towards the clones.

Her left hand pulled back and she slashed the first water clone with the somewhat curved blade on her weapon. The clone dissolved into water and became small dots on the ivory snow that covered the concrete on the training grounds.
Both of the eyes on clone number two widened as the blade headed towards its ribcage and it raised its hands to defend itself. But it was to no avail and it soon ended up as the clone that had stood in front of it. The third clone on the other hand had seen the attack coming and stepped back and prepared itself for a fight.

Marii grinned and spun a little on her right foot; she was now on the side of the last three clones and prepared herself for a final hit. With one sweeping motion, all the three clones had been wiped out…or so that was what the female thought.
The last clone had turned into a small rainfall of some sort and then reconstructed itself in a somewhat slow motion. ‘What the…is that what this jutsu is supposed to do!?’ thought the Jounin and looked at it with a dumbfound expression on her face. The clone looked at her, now with a small grin on its face.

“I doubt you can reconstruct yourself one more time clone. But at least you have proven that my attempt was not completely wasted” said the young woman before she scooped up some snow with her hands.
Next, she threw the snowball on the clone’s face and saw it become raindrops that felt down on the white snow in a silent manner. ‘Well, at least it was not as bad as I had feared it would be. But it is quite obvious that I have a lot of work to do’ thought the brunette and put the chisakatana back into the sheath.

‘These clones need enough chakra to reconstruct them five times before they end up like water puddles. However, five clones are the maximum and I made it this hard for myself anyways. It is clear that I need a lot more chakra and some idea of how to reconstruct these clones as a fast rainfall’ thought the female and looked at the ground.
She let her imagination wander and tried to come up with an idea of some sort that she could use, but her mind was blank so far. Some snowflakes felt down from the sky and dotted across her sepia locks like small stars.

Suddenly, an idea popped into her mind when she saw the snowflakes descend from the skies above her. It was not the best, but it had to do the job until she could come up with something that was better.
Chakra rushed through the network before it went to the refining process; it did not take more than perhaps five seconds. To be an experienced ninjutsu user had its advantages and her hands worked at the handseals right away. Would this idea make this attempt better than the previous one?

A set of pale hands weaved in and out of a handseal combination that was not known to them, at least not at the moment. The female focused her chakra and hoped that all of the clones were able to reconstruct at least once before they dissolved.
“Suiton! Kouu bunshin no jutsu!” said Marii and felt the chakra she had gathered leave her body and enter the nature. A second later, the chakra had started to mingle itself with the surrounding puddles and the clones were about to be formed. When two-three seconds had passed, five clones now stood where the puddles used to be.

“Perfect” muttered the young woman and made the clones stand in a sort of zig-zag queue to her right side. She wanted to try something new this time; her taijutsu was not that good and it had to be improved in some way. And since there were five water clones in front of her that were hopefully able to reconstruct themselves, it was a perfect opportunity.
Her feet begun to move and her ice blue spheres were focused on the clones that were positioned in front of her. She was not trained in kenjutsu, so she had to train on how she handled the sword in a fight.

“ZEI!” yelled the Jounin before she delivered a quick, small slash to the first clone that stood in the zig-zag line. The clone dissolved and started to reconstruct itself almost right after it had been hit by the metallic weapon. After a few seconds, the clone had re-created itself and was ready to fight against its creator once more.
‘Good’ thought the female before she delivered a sunappo shippo to the clone’s thigh; it would have hurt a real person quite a bit. The clone dissolved itself once more and reverted back to its original state.

Next, the brunette ran to the left, jumped into the air and delivered a quick chop towards the head on the second clone. She landed and turned her head to see if it had started to reconstruct itself like the first clone she had attacked with her sword.
The clone was almost finished with the reconstruction already, which surprised the young woman a little. She had expected it to reconstruct, but not that fast! Her legs stretched themselves out and one of them delivered a moderately strong side kick to the clone’s back.

When her foot made contact with the clone’s backside, it dissolved into a thousand drops of water that flied into the air. But then, the drops stopped and started to gather in the air and created the clone again in just a few seconds.
‘This clone can reconstruct itself twice! Looks like some of my chakra made something decent’ thought Marii before she pulled back her right arm and balled her hand into a fist. Her arm then shot through the air like a small projectile and connected with the clones left shoulder.

As soon as her hand had broken through the clone, it turned into water and failed to reconstruct itself again. ‘Right, time for number three’ thought the female and looked at the third clone, which had a somewhat nervous look on its face.
A pair of thulian pink lips curved into a small grin before she stood up and threw a couple of large snowballs on the clone. It managed to dodge the first one, but the two others hit the clone in the forehead and right hip respectively. The clone dissolved into small raindrops and reconstructed itself after two-three seconds had passed.

The Jounin’s feet hit the snow with low, sloshy sounds and her hands held the handle on the sword somewhat looser than usual. Within a few seconds, she had lunged forwards and her left hand did a straight jab into the clone’s throat.
A fraction of a second later, the clone had been reduced to a small puddle of water and the young woman landed on the snow with the sword clutched in her left hand. Her head turned and saw that it had not reconstructed itself.

‘One left, three killed’ thought the brunette and sheathed her chisakatana while her eyes looked at the last of the four clones. ‘Perhaps I should engage it in some close combat’ thought the female and raised her ebony brows a little as she looked at the last clone. The clone took a familiar stance and Marii copied it right away.
Two pairs of identical ice blue eyes looked at each other and established eye contact. It was time to see just how good these water clones could fight against real-life shinobis.

Both of them looked at each other for a few seconds; determination and concentration was evident on both of their faces. Suddenly, the female creator charged forwards and aimed a high swing kick towards the clone’s right shoulder.
The clone managed to step back in time and countered the swing kick with something that looked like a side kick with its right leg. Marii jumped to the side almost right away and sent a middle swing kick towards the right side of the clone’s torso. Her foot connected with the clone’s side and it turned into a lot of water droplets that were suspended in the air.

Crystal blue eyes looked at the drops like they were something that could explode almost anytime like exploding tags or something similar. As expected, the water drops pulled themselves together in a magnetic fashion before the water clone was reconstructed and ready for another round of fighting.
The young woman did a quick sidestep before she threw a punch towards the center of the clone’s torso, who did not have much time to react. The clone dissolved once more and the Jounin took a few steps back to see what would happen. If she was lucky, the water clone would be able to reconstruct itself one more time before it was out of chakra pockets.

However, it seemed like Lady Luck was on the female’s side today as the clone started to take shape in front of her very eyes. ‘Heh, a ninjutsu like that can be quite valuable in a lot of situations. If each clone is able to reconstruct themselves, it will give the power of…25 water clones’ thought the brunette and prepared herself for a new attack.
The clone spun around on its heel and sent a fast swing kick with its left leg, which was aimed on the young woman’s right thigh. She stepped to the side, just in time to dodge the attack and sent a swing kick into the clone’s stomach.

It turned into water in front of her very eyes before felt down to the ivory snow below it and became a tiny puddle. ‘Hm, that took a bit of time…my taijutsu is a bit worse than I first thought that it was. But on the other hand, Kininata told me that he could only fight against a few of these since they were rather strong’ thought Marii and wiped some sweat off her pale forehead with her hand.
Now, she had to make sure that all of the clones could reconstruct themselves at least three times. This would cost a larger amount of chakra, but she was willing to pay the price since she had not trained in a while.

A somewhat large amount of mysterious energy went through her body and she could feel a rush of energy. It did not take long before all of this energy had been gathered and both of her hands were lifted since it was time to do the handseals that were needed.
After a second or two had passed, the chakra was ready for use and the female said: “Suiton! Kouu bunshin no jutsu!”. She felt the chakra depart her body and enter some of the half-melted and melted snow around her within the fraction of a second. Soon, five clones rose from the water-like substances and looked at their owner with a somewhat curious glance on their faces.

‘I suppose it is time to get serious’ thought the female and studied the clones while her ice blue spheres turned into a surreal emerald green shade. Everything became clearer, like someone had removed a film of some sort away from her eyes.
Her hands did a new set of handseals and her voice soon revealed which ninjutsu she had chosen to defeat the clones with. “Raiton! Jibashi!” said the Jounin and a bolt of lightning shot across the ground towards the five clones that she had made. All five of them were reduced to water spray, but would soon become clones again.

When a second had passed, all of the five clones had been recreated and looked at their creator with the same neutral facial expression. ‘That was one’ thought the young woman before she gathered a similar amount of chakra.
A new set of handseals was performed and she stamped down some of the snow to make herself a little warmer. “Jisei!” said the brunette and made some of her kunais levitate from her weapon pouch. Five kunais darted through the air like they were controlled by strings and hit the clones in the chest or stomach, one by one.

All the clones turned into water once more before they started to regenerate themselves into clones again. ‘Kami…to beat these clones are harder than I first thought it would be’ thought the female and felt a little tired. Now, it was time to turn them into their usual state once and for all.
Marii gathered a smaller amount of chakra and did one handseal almost right away. “Charged projectile” muttered the young woman and charged five of her kunais with electric chakra.

Both of the female’s bony hands went towards her weapon pouch and picked up the five kunais that had been charged. Her eyes locked on the five clones, which now had positioned themselves into a somewhat asymmetrical line of some sort.
The first hand to move was her left one; it threw a kunai towards the shoulder of the first clone in the line. Once the kunai had embedded itself into the clone’s water-like flesh, it turned into water and the weapon felt down on the snow. Marii picked up the weapon and laid it back in her pouch before she looked at the four clones that stood in front of her.

Her right hand moved in a blur of black and a kunai flied through the air towards clone number two in the weird line. The kunai hit the clone in the left upper arm and the target reverted back to its original state just a second after the charged weapon hit it.
‘Hm, three more to go’ thought the young woman and threw kunai number three with her left hand almost right away.
The weapon flied through the air and made contact with the third clone’s chest just seconds after it had started on its journey. It was soon reduced to a small puddle of water that lay on the white snow.

It was only one kouu bunshin left and the Jounin threw the last kunai with her right hand. However, her aim was a little off and it hit the clone in the kneecap instead of the middle of its thigh. But the effect was the same as with the other four; the clone turned into water and the kunai felt down on the snow with a mute ‘CLINK’.
‘All five of them are defeated now, so I suppose I have to make a new set right away. But it will be a bit hard to defeat them if all five of them can reconstruct five times’ thought the female and let out a small cough.

‘No wonder Kininata said this was hard work’ thought the brunette and concentrated the chakra inside her body. A bit more snow had melted now and was ready to be used by the young woman who stood on the training field.
She took a deep breath and felt the energy she had gathered go through her body like a small electric current. Her mind focused on the five water clones that reconstructed themselves when they were hit by different attacks of all sorts. Marii lifted both of her hands and started with the handseals that were required.

‘At least the combination is not that complicated’ thought the female and formed the last handseal just a second or two after the first. “Suiton! Kouu bunshin no jutsu!” said the Jounin and sent her chakra towards the puddles in the nearby area.
The clones came out of them right away; it looked like something that had been taken out of a sci-fi movie of some sort. She made all of them step forwards and stand about three feet away from her. Then, the young woman made five large snowballs and pelted them on the clones like they were her enemies.

One by one, they turned into water and reconstructed themselves almost right after the snowball had hit the ground behind them. ‘Heh, the recreation process is faster as well. At least this is more fun and more effective than beating them up with ninjutsu and taijutsu’ thought the brunette before she placed her left leg behind her right.
She delivered a swing kick to all of the clones as fast as she could, and they all dissolved upon contact. But when the female had moved on to the next clone, the previous one had already regenerated itself.

‘Right, I think that was the second time I have attacked all of the clones. What should I do for the third one?’ thought Marii and bit her lower lip a little, deep in thought about what she could do next.
An idea struck her and she made the clones line up in a circle and she did some handseals. “Ninpo! Shuriken mokuzai jiten!” said the young woman and threw two shurikens into the air. It did not take long before the five water clones had been hit by the dangerous weapons and reverted into water, at least for a second.

The Jounin did a few more handseals and channeled a small chakra amount into each of the two shurikens that were in the air. “Ninpo! Shuriken souki!” said the female and the shuriken suddenly started to go in a reverse direction.
The five clones reverted to water, one by one, before they recreated themselves one more time. ‘One more attempt and they should be dead’ thought the brunette and caught the shurikens. She did a few handseals and hit all five of them with the higashi raikou dageki.

It was over now…all five of the clones had been defeated and all of them were able to reconstruct themselves five times. The young woman picked up her weapons and laid them back to her weapon pouch.
“Thank you Kininata…” said Marii as she looked up at the snow clouds that drifted above her. She had kept her part of the promise and was now in possession of a very powerful bunshin jutsu. The female could not wait for Christmas to arrive.

Effect: The flying animal flies up then pulls their wings inward, and dives down in a spinning motion toward the opponent.
Special: ---
Drawback: The animal has a chance of being dizzy afterwards. Direction is hard to change in air, so if the opponent moves, they could just hit the ground. Stopping partway through is also hard.
Description: A flying animal has the ability to fly really high. In doing so, they can gain a lot of momentum when going back down at a high speed. When flying up, they can then spin around, bring their wings to the side, then fall down toward the opponent, spinning in circles to add more damage. Depending on how high they go, they could add more damage. However, it is hard to move in a different direction while doing it, as well as stopping. So that could lead to bad side effects, such as slamming right into the ground. They also can become dizzy after the attack has finished.
Limit: Any flying animal.

“Time I learn you this jutsu once and for all! You’re a fast bird so it’s time that we use your speed to your advantage!” said the female as she walked into the forest with the bird on her shoulder. She had some thin planks in her hand that were 2 feet long that she would use to learn him the dive bomb. “You have to dive as fast as possible towards the planks so you can make them break. It’s that simple” said Marii as she looked at Daiki with a clear look in her eyes.

She received a small nod in return; it was time to start their training session. The bird flapped his wings as he flied towards the cloud-filled sky that was above...he became smaller by the second. ‘He should be ready now’ thought the young woman as the first plank was planted in the ground. The Coopers hawk circled around in the air far above her; he probably tried to find a good angle to attack. Scarlet eyes gleamed as he found an angle that seemed usable to him.

Ice blue spheres saw the dark gray dot that came towards the plank with a speed that almost no humans could achieve. She ran towards a nearby tree in case the bird missed the plank and hit the ground around it instead. Daiki moved towards the plank in a blur but missed it with about a foot. He rolled around in the snow for a couple of seconds before he tumbled up again...he was NOT happy with himself at the moment. The Jounin emerged from the forest and walked towards the bird.

“You did not miss that much. Perhaps you can try to imagine that it’s a victim that stands still or something like that” said the female as she looked at the Coopers hawk who stood on the ground in front of her. He gave her another small nod as he flapped his wings and flied towards the cloudy skies that was above them. She went behind the tree again since she knew that birds like him could cover big distances in just seconds of time. What would it be like to move so fast in the air?

A small dot of gray hovered in the air far above her before it started to move towards the plank again with immense speed. Blood red eyes were glued onto the immobile plank that would serve as the target for the training. Daiki hit the top of the plank and landed on the ground with less trouble than last time. The brunette decided to check the plank for any damage that he could have made. She picked up the piece of wood and added a little bit off pressure to it with her hands...would it break now?

Nothing happened with it, which meant that the bird had not hit the plank with enough speed to make it break. “Not bad but the plank did not break. Try one more time and don’t be afraid to use all the strength that you have!” said the young woman as she planted the injured part into the ground again. Her bird then flied up to the heavens while he tried to plot out a new plan that he could use to make the plank break once and for all. He then circled around a little as he tried to find a way to use the new plan he had comed up with.

Both of his wings were folded against the body before the small body went towards the ground below like a bullet of some sort. Crystal blue eyes saw the bird head for the plank so fast that her Ryuugan would have barely caught the sight of it. A small ‘CRACK!’ went through the air as the top third of the plank broke off after just a second or two. The Coopers hawk sat on the snow with a somewhat curious look in its eyes. He turned his head towards the broken plank and let out a squawk in happiness.

Raiton – Tokeidai boueisen no jutsu (Thunder style – Clock tower defense technique).
Rank: “A” Rank.
Skill: Ninjutsu.
Effect: Allows the user to create lances of pure lightning, spanning three meters long, to be formatted around the user in the form of the twelve hours on a clock. From there, these lances shoot out in all directions at high speeds, able to penetrate all barriers “A” rank or lower and even go through multiple bodies. They can also explode at any given time and emit blinding light to those within close proximity, no more than five meters and all within a fifty meter radius for traveling. When first learned, the user can only form four lances. Each “B” ranked training the person does adds a single lance, until all twelve are attained.
Special: “Handseals”.
Drawback: Unless tag detonation handseal is held, lances blow up at the end of their flight. Lances cannot be controlled once launched. Once out of the fifty yard range, the lances explode. Does not discriminate against friend or foe. Lances can only travel horizontally in a two dimensional fashion.
Description: As its name implies, the tokeidai allows the user to use lightning to create powerful lances that position and attack like the hours on a clock. The user proceeds to form the necessary handseals, and when all is charged, whatever amount of lances possibly created now came to life around the caster. After confirming their target, they let the lances go, hopefully striking whatever it is that had surrounded the user and thus prompted the emergence of such desperate measures in the first place.
Limit: Must have lightning release.

'Looks like today is a better day for training' thought the female as she looked around at the field. She was able to form five lances now, but she wanted to be able to create six lances with this jutsu. 'Here we go' thought Marii as she closed her eyes again.
A large amount of chakra started to move inside her body as she focused on her task. Her mind started to make a mental image of the lances she wanted to craft with the tokeidai jutsu.

Six lances that were ten feet in length would surround her like arms on an old-fashioned clock of some sort. They would all be made out of strong raiton chakra that would be able to destroy most defensive jutsus. All six of them should be able to shoot forwards with immense speed like most raiton jutsus did.
At the end, the lances would explode in a magnificent fashion by emitting a blinding light. The explosion should be able to cause a rather large amount of damage considering the rank.

Her chakra was now being refined, so the young woman kept replaying the mental image she had created. 'At least they should be able to LOOK the part at this stage. I'll put in more power later on' thought the Jounin.
She then realized that the chakra had been refined and started at the handseals. Her hands as well as her fingers weaved the combination with higher speed since she was more used to it.

"Raiton! Tokeidai boueisen no jutsu!" stated the female as she released the chakra from her body to create the six lances that would defend her from danger. She tried to split the chakra in six equal parts to make them as identical as possible.
As expected, the first four lances were easy while the two last ones were a bit more troublesome to make. This jutsu started out with four lances after all...this was a re-training to create more.

'Keep up now' reminded her inner as she started on the sixth lightening lance. She bit her lower lip a little as she tried to create the last lance with the remaining chakra. 'I hope it does not become TOO weak' thought the brunette as she started to shape it.
All of the six lances were now ready to be used for defending her against any type of danger. They were all at nearly the same size and the density was at a decent level considering how far she was in the retraining stage.

"Let's see how strong you all are. GO!" yelled the young woman as she fired off all the six lances at once. She paid most attention to the two last one she had made to see if they were at the same level as they preceedors.
Lance number five went off with a bang between two rocks that had some distance apart them. The light was not as strong as the others, but the power was quite strong since it had broken off some small parts of the closest rock.

But lance number six were a bit more disappointing when it came to the explosion part of the jutsu. The speed was quite decent, but the light was about half as bright as the first four lances. And the explosion had only caused one of the nearby bushes to lose some large branches but nothing else.
'I better feed the lance with more chakra...this jutsu is splitting up in six after all. Better try again I suppose' thought Marii as she let out a small sigh.

Some thunder could be heard in the distance, which made the female shrink a little bit in fear. It was a bit ironic since she lived in Kumogakure no Sato plus being an active raiton user. 'Time to think about the lances...I'm capable of making six lances that are about the same size. But the negative is that the power is not up to par with the rest' thought Marii. She decided to emphasize the strenght a bit more as well as adding more chakra.

Both of her eyes closed as she started to gather an even larger amount of the strange energy that ran around inside her body. The speed was turned up a notch as well so it did not get too slow. 'I have decent control of the jutsu now, so turning up the speed should not make me lose much or any chakra at all' thought the young woman.
A small shiver ran down her spine as the chakra went through the refinement process. It did not take long until it had becomed raiton based energy that was ready to use.

'Six parts now...concentrate' thought the Jounin as she vizualized her chakra being a large circle split into six equal parts. Her mind focused when she started to cut up the weird energy in six parts that would supposedly be at the same size. 'Think about the strength, think about the strength' repeated her inner.
She tried to amp up the strenght a little bit when the chakra had been cut into six equal parts. Her hands then started to unlock the handseal combination for this particular jutsu while her eyes opened up again.

"Raiton! Tokeidai boueisen no jutsu!" stated the female when her fingers had performed the very last handseal. Her chakra was then let free from the cage that had used to be her body...kind of strange actually.
The six lances started to form once they had gotten out of her body. All of them were now exactly ten feet long and had the shape that an old-fashioned clock arm had.

But the real test was about to come up; it was a test that concerned the strength that this jutsu had. "Ready...GO!" exclaimed the brunette as she raised her right hand. All of the six lances shot forwards in the blink of an eye.
'I can swear that they did not move so fast the last time!' thought the young woman in slight shock. Did a slightly larger amount of chakra plus emphasis on strenght make SUCH a difference!?

Lance number one shot towards an empty space before it exploded. Number two as well as number three did exactly the same thing while number four collided with a four foot tall rock. Most of the rock was blown away by the impact; this WAS an "A"-ranked jutsu after all.
The fifth lance had exploded into thin air while the sixth lance was on its way towards a bush. Ice blue orbs observed the lance with caution...what would happen now?

Last time, the lance had only managed to burn off some of the largest branches on the bush. 'I hope it can make the whole thing blow up this time since I cranked up the power' thought the female. The lance approached the bush with high speed before it hit it dead on seconds later.
Flames engulfed the plant and it did not take long until it had burned down to just some charred twigs. 'Whoa...that's EXACTLY the result I wanted to see!' thought Marii with raised eyebrows.

An explosion was heard on her left side. The young woman turned around just in time to see a nice explosion that gave off some semi-blinding light from it as well. That had to be the sixth lance that had just combusted into thin air since it had no target.
'Looks like the power is getting quite good now...I just need to keep up the work. Better feed the lances with some more chakra afterwards' thought the Jounin with a satisfied smile.

She took a deep breath while she tried to collect some chakra for yet another attempt on this high-ranked jutsu. There was still a lot of chakra left, but there was no time to waist anything at this stage. 'I assume that I've finished about 3/4 of my training at this point...I have to pay attention to the details now' thought the female.
She then tried to craft a mental image of how she wanted the six lances to look like when they were on display. All six of them would be at the same size and look like the arm on an old-fashioned watch.

'Better increase the power a little bit now!' reminded her inner with a semi-strict look at her face. The brunette bit her lower lip a little in sheer concentration as she tried to increase the power of the weird energy inside her. She felt a small wave of coldness go through her body immediately.
'Odd how these ninjutsus can affect the body' thought the young woman as she exhaled again. It was now time to launch off the handseals that were needed to fire off this jutsu.

Her hands weaved through the handseals a bit quicker now since her mind had now nearly memorized the set. "Raiton! Tokeidai boueisen no jutsu!" stated Marii as she prepared to launch the jutsu once more.
Six lances started to form around her body like arms on an old-fashioned clock with her being the center. It took just a couple of seconds to form them...the jutsu was getting stronger by the moment.

Crystal blue eyes looked at each lance to make sure that they all looked identical. They all looked perfectly in terms of apperance as well as similarity. 'Time to see how much damage they can do!' thought the female with a somewhat wicked grin.
"AND....GO!" yelled the Jounin as she launched all of the raiton-based lances into the air. She was shocked over how fast they were now; they could have easily killed someone close to her.

Lance number one did not hit anything, so it exploded in a flash of bright light plus some flames as well. The next two ones did exactly the same while the fourth one headed straight into a pile of soil. It did not take long until the pile of soil had been reduced into some burnt lumps.
Lance number five had set its course towards a tree trunk that was relatively rotten. Only a second later, the trunk had almost been blown straight into the sky due to the amount of power.

Her head whipped around to see how lance number six was doing at the moment. 'I hope I did not miss it!' thought the young woman as she searched for it. She saw it right before it was about to explode like the other three ones.
The explosion was so bright that the brunette had to shield her eyes...this was the disadvantage with being a Kazeraikou. 'Heh, looks like I've done it now' thought the female with a satisfied grin on her face.

Also i didn't notice this til now. But being an S rank user training an A rank jutsu youre going to have to train for a full 70 points. I'm not sure why you have 40 here and in the previous thread.

Raiton – Tokeidai boueisen no jutsu (Thunder style – Clock tower defense technique).
Rank: “A” Rank.
Skill: Ninjutsu.
Effect: Allows the user to create lances of pure lightning, spanning three meters long, to be formatted around the user in the form of the twelve hours on a clock. From there, these lances shoot out in all directions at high speeds, able to penetrate all barriers “A” rank or lower and even go through multiple bodies. They can also explode at any given time and emit blinding light to those within close proximity, no more than five meters and all within a fifty meter radius for traveling. When first learned, the user can only form four lances. Each “B” ranked training the person does adds a single lance, until all twelve are attained.

Drawback: Unless tag detonation handseal is held, lances blow up at the end of their flight. Lances cannot be controlled once launched. Once out of the fifty yard range, the lances explode. Does not discriminate against friend or foe. Lances can only travel horizontally in a two dimensional fashion.
Description: As its name implies, the tokeidai allows the user to use lightning to create powerful lances that position and attack like the hours on a clock. The user proceeds to form the necessary handseals, and when all is charged, whatever amount of lances possibly created now came to life around the caster. After confirming their target, they let the lances go, hopefully striking whatever it is that had surrounded the user and thus prompted the emergence of such desperate measures in the first place.

Crystal blue eyes looked at the different bottles that stood in front of her. It was test day at the Academy where the students had to mix an herbal medicine. This said medicine had to contain between three to five ingredients.
‘Better get starting’ thought the female with a decisive look in her eyes. She had a lot of herbal ingredients to choose from…but which one should she start with?

It should preferably be one that could be easily used in a combination. Her decision landed on a clear extract with a slightly cool brown tinge. ‘I think I’ll go with the ash first’ decided Marii.
She poured two centiliters into the mixing bowl after measuring it up. Ash was well known to cure poisons, but the herbal extract had to be drunk.

This meant that the next two or three herbs she picked had to be digested the same way. ‘Maybe I should pick something that can cure something that poisoning causes. But what could that be?’ thought the girl.
She opened her book to check if there was an herb that was able to cure stomach pains, infections or something related to that. The Genin got to the letter ‘B’ when she found an herb that matched perfectly.

It was one that could cure fevers in just 8 hours. ‘I better put this in as well’ thought the female as she picked up her measuring cup. She used two centiliters of that herb as well in order to create some balance.
The content could not exceed more than a deciliter of liquid. ‘All right then…time for herb number three. I got one that cures poison plus one that banishes fever’ summed the teen up mentally.

She picked up a wooden chopstick that their teacher had told them to use for stirring. Blending the different elixirs together would involve a bit of that during the process. The girl stirred the liquid she had in the glass while she flipped the pages in her book.
‘Maybe I should go for one that targets the stomach or the digestive system. There are many poisons that makes people vomit or even worse’ thought the blonde while she shuddered a little.
