"Tonight I'm gonna have myself a real good time I feel alive and the world it's turning inside out Yeah!" Riou would sing out, a joyful feeling of euphoria coursing through his body on one of the rare sunny days that seemed to avoid a land such as Ame no Kuni. Sitting on a nearby tree stump he would take out some pocki from his knapsack, watching the wind wave across the grass as the golden sun hung in the sky. There he would wait for his team mate Mare to show up before they continued their mission to Kawa No Kuni, but for now Riou would bask in this small moment of joy seldom offered in the life of a shinobi. " beautiful......."

Mare would be seen running threw the beutiful country side of Ame. The sun would shine, and make his face glow, while the cool rain drop on his face. "Great... I'm late for me and Riou's mission" he said as he kicked in into high gear jumping from tree to tree with great speed. Using his keen eyesight Mare would spot Riou setting in a nearby tree stump on the ground. "Lets make a good entrence" he thought to himself as he shunshined behind Riou. "Hey... how you doing... I haven't seen you since that last mission in River" he said in a calm tone to Riou.

A sudden voice behind Riou would make him start, azure eyes would flicker open as he would be awakened from his reverie. Attempting to calmly turn around, one hand on his head as a wry grin formed on his lips. " Mare! How goes it! I haven't seen you since our mission in River! It seems were on the same team now!" and with that Riou would laugh and shake his head, tussled golden locks reflecting in the sunlight. " Well I guess our other team mate Kushina hasn't been seen for awhile so its just me and you! Lets head on over to Kawa no Kuni and check the borders, I've always wanted to see leaf." and with that Riou would turn and go, swift foot falls heading towards Kawa no kuni.

Mare guessed he startled Riou with his pressence behind him.
"Yeah... what are the odds that we are on the same team" said Mare with a smirk. "Thing is... I wonder where are other teamate is" were the last words Mare said before they left. He would fallow closely behind Riou, thinking in his head that his speed matched his own. The gentle rain drops were calming his mind and sould as he then jumped up into the trees and hope to get a better view of the country.

The sunlight filtered through the tree top foilage as Riou and Mare made there way to Kawa no Kuni. Shielding his eyes Riou dextrously moved from tree trunk to tree trunk, noting the simple change of horological life. Azure eyes would shift and glance at mare, he was just as fast as Riou. This boded well for their team, they were of roughly equal power.

Twising his body in the air to look backwards Riou would give Mare a double thumbs up " Weo! I can't wait to see Kawa No kuni! Have you ever been to Konohagure?"

Leaping from tree to tree, Mare would see a slight diference up ahead. The tree's started to get less tropical and more temprate. Hearing Riou's question, he would give a response. "No, but I hear Kawa is a pretty strong country and has good landmarks". The trees he started to jump in were temperate. "Hey... Riou I feel like we are getting close". Then with his birds eye view he would spot a sign up ahead. Jumping down from the trees he would take a closer look at the sign. The sign would read "Welcome to Kawa". "Were here" he said with glee.

" haha looks like your right Mare, I guess our mission starts now eh?" With that Azure occuli would peer out at the surrounding countryside, noting every detail. Their mission was only to investigate the border between Ame and Hi, but what if they were to...penetrate a bit further? This thought caused Riou's brow to furrow, surely they would be lauded for there bravery but....was the risk worth it? For now Riou would go along with the original mission parameters and search the border for anything mysterious.

Mare would pop upen his gourd and pour some sand on the ground. "Yea... our mission starts here" he said with a small grin. Mare used his chakra and made the sand bind up into a ball and quickly started to gain the properties of an human eye. Using a tiny grain of sand laced with his chakra he would control the eye and see out of it. He then dismissed the eye looking for anything that is supicious.

Daisan no Me (The Third Eye)

Effect: A technique that allows the user the capability of using their sand to where they can create an eye. This eye of sand is used for spying purposes and information gathering purposes. A simple technique known within the Sand Regiments.
Special: ---
Drawback: When the user uses this technique they are unable to use one of their eyes. Reasons for this is because they need to be capable of seeing and the mind is unable to process so many images. Lack of better words the user litterally uses his own eye to see by using Sand. When the user learns this very technique the user is however only capable of using this technique within the distance of how well he is capable of controlling Sand.
Description: The user creates a simple eye that is in the color of brown. The sand is condensed to the point it solidifies and looks like that of an eye. The user keeps a small string of sand that is lined with chakra in order to allow the user to still see.
Limit: Must have the Sand Release, Must know Sand Control.

The scene was bleak. Appearing ant-like in size within the horizon, the lone shack rotting at the edges of the fire country seemed devoid of life, serving as a haven only for the deranged and disturbed. Rarely did anyone with enough sense pass through such routes, knowing well the folk tale surrounding the house itself – placed at the edge of a farm owned by the same person as the house, the shack had been plagued with a hideous past. From murders to the loss of sanity, many of the house’s patrons were known to meet an ill fortune, and so, no one ever bothered with such parts. Only a few locals lived, orchestrating the whole deal…

Now, years later, a tiny shack of what once was is all that remains. The farms were long dead, and no one really lived around there anymore. Much of the family’s things were long stolen, leaving the site a mere graveyard of memories. However, it was rumored some of their greatest treasures had yet to be found by anyone. As the two shinobi entered the scene, they would notice the shack engulfed in flames. A single window would open up to reveal a young girl wearing rags, screaming for help; it seemed she was stuck. Time was not on anyone’s side – the rescuing needed to be done right away.

It was a hot day. The sun started setting, making the shack seem like it was glowing. Who would help?

As Riou scanned the nearby landscape a sudden scream would rent the air. Turning quickly, Azure occuli narrowing and focussing on the sound Riou would see a dilapitated shack aflame, worse yet, from within came a girls screams. Reacting quickly, Hand seals were dextrously formed in an instant as Riou put a plan in action. " Mare!....I'll get over there quickly and get the girl, get a water technique and put the fire out!" and with that Riou's form would begin to melt into the ground.

Reapparing just outside the shack, hand covering his eyes from the glare from the flame. Hands would suddenly blur into action as digits formed hand seals once again as Riou would kick in the door or attempt to go through the window. Suiton No tate protecting his body from most of the flames that licked hungarily at him. Riou could only hope he would get there in time.

Hiru Banshō: Bōka no Jutsu, 蛭万象・防火の術 [ Leech All Creation: Attack Prevention Technique ]

Effect: Using this jutsu, the user can merge with another object and take on its properties to avoid any damage. In the manga, Orochimaru uses this to merge with a tree just before his battle with his former student, Anko Mitarashi. He, however, does not give it a name.

Drawback: Must learn this for the type of element that they know. This means that if you know the Earth Release you must gain this technique for the Earth Release. If you know the Wood Release then you must learn this technique again but for the Wood Release.
Description: The user depending on this technique slowly melds down into the element that they are placed upon. They slowly seep down into the element that they are upon. This technique only work on certain types of elements however. These elements are Solid elements. No liquid, plasmatic, or gaseous releases could this technique work on. This means that this technique works only on Earth, Ice, Wood, and Sand.
Limit: NinJutsu, Clan Specialist.

Suiton no Tate [ Shield of Water ]

Effect: The Suiton no Tate acts in a manner similar to the Suna no Tate. By using water and combining it with the users chakra, they can allow it to move around the body to deflect small incoming projectiles or even use it for techniques.
Special: Bird, Dog, Rabbit, Tiger
Drawback: The shield can not really block taijutsu attacks, constantly absorbs a very very small amount of chakra.
Description: Small currents of water flow around the body of the user, capable of deflecting small jutsu or even extinguishing C-rank or lower katon techniques . This jutsu activates automatically unless the user himself chooses to "disable" the ability in a situation. Does not acquire the awareness of the user to defend (can block strikes that the user can't see, like the sand shield has been known to do).
Limit: Water Release.

Then Mare spotted it, up ahead with his sand eye. It was a burning shack up ahead, and their were some feint cries for help up ahead. Riou then ran over to the shack with a great speed and seeped down into the ground. He could here him yell to put out the fire, with a Suiton jutsu. While Riou ran inside of the shack Mare started a long string of handseals. Well I hope that this jutsu doesn't destroy the shack too. Then coming out of the water from Mare's clothes that were dampend from the rain in Ame, was a relatively small water dragon. The dragon would be shoot towards the shack and engulf the flames and putting them out. "Well I just hope they can hold their breath for awile, and not get hurt" he said as he ran over to the shack.

Suiton - Suiryuudan no Jutsu (Water Dragon Projectile)

Description: Suiryuudan no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Water Element. The ninja does a long string of hand seals which then causes a column of water in the form of a dragon to rise from the water and then strike their target.

It was a dud, the water technique attempted by one of the shinobi barely creating any changing effects to the burning house. Fueled only by the water on his clothing, the attack was weak and small, destroying itself before even reaching the house. If he intended to help his partner out, he’d need to do a better attempt. But time was running out; he’d need to hurry.

As he entered the house, the water shield using shinobi would be greeted with intense fires and searing flames that screamed of his death. Much care would be needed as he trcked through the living room of the house; the roof could collapse at any minute. Making things worse, a crashing sound originating from the room the girl was alluded to her being further trapped, the door leading to her now blocked by burning wood. He too would need to hurry, or her else life would be no more.

As azure eyes would search frantically, roving to and fro in an effort to find the girl Riou's mind would work furiously for a solution. Despite the suiton no tate the heat was still overwhelming and Riou could feel his body begin to overheat. It was time to end this infernal combustion! Hands moved dextrously as nimble digits formed intricate handseals. Within moments Riou tilted his head back, a grand amount of water flowing forth to douse the fire. As gallons of water would descend on the flames, leaving nothing but a hissing sound of steam being formed Riou wouls rush into the room the girls wailing screams had come from. Of coutrse he had to remove the remains of some wreckage from the door, but with is phyiscal prowess, his suiton no tate shield, and the water from baka suishuhou he should make short work of it.....he could only hope he would get there in time.

Effect: A technique that allows the user to form or create a mass amount of water, or use a mass amount of water in a wave like form.

Description: This is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Water Element. After forming the needed handseals, water is expelled from the gullet. This will then expand into a large volume of water that can be controlled and ridden like a wave.The user must be above the water in a wave like formation so then the user has the capability of riding the wave. The amount of water is not grand to where it can take out a village, but the amount of water is indeed capable of blocking off a approximatly four houses.

The water dragon was just a pathetic attempt and dud. The lack of water in the form cause it to come short of the house before breaking up. "Damn... I cant use water jutsu's but sand jutsu's should work". He then quickly shunshind infront of the burning cabin and was about to do some handseals to use the great arm of sand jutsu, but then the fire started to steam. "Huh... I guess Riou got a water jutsu to put out the fire". Then Mare was clueless on what to do. He could probably try to save the girl with his arm of sand and slowly take apart the house, but since the cabin is probably unstable by the fire damage, that it might collapse and kill the girl and Riou.

Poor girl.

Despite the valiant attempt by her would be rescuers, the pressures of their attacks would be the ones to do her in. As the flames licked her cuts and welcomed her forever, the crashing waves that descended over her would leave her as the flame itself; no more. Like a rag doll her body would fly, crashing several times against the ground and other objects in her house. During the accidental torture session, her body would be stabbed several times by random sharp objects strewn about from the house’s destruction. Now, with the fire being nothing more, the duo would find their attempts somewhat successful; while they had put the fire out and revealed a plethora of miscellaneous items scattered about in the wreckage, the girl’s life would be no more, her body tossed a ways aside and stick in extreme angles, all not naturally the way her bones should bend.

Two prizes were at stake, and one was obtained. Who knows what the girl’s life would’ve brought them had she lived. Nothing more except flat planes existed in this area; once the items were ceased, their purpose there would be none.

As Riou watched the waves crash into the flames, snuffing out their existance, he would half swim half walk into the room were the girl was being held. Walking through the wreckage azure occuli would focus on the small figure that had been the girl. Like a rag doll her body had been seized and thrown throughout the room. Riou's mouth would tighten with anger as he surveyed his "attempts" at a rescue. Pathetic.... The word echoing throughout his head as a single tear welled up in his eye.

He couldn't save Nagaku.....he couldn't save Kuro.....he was a failure. Picking up the lifeless corpe of the slain girl he would exit the house, soft footfalls would be the only thing reverberating through the ruins of the house as Riou would move into the field before erecting a shallow grave to honor the girl. Wether or not Mare would come to stand beside him Riou's eyes would focus on the small wooden cross he had fashioned, tears would glisten in the moonlight as they slowly fell in rivulets before dropping to the ground. When the sun rose the next day Riou would finally move, not a sound uttering forth from his lips as he made his way back to Ame No Kuni.

The waves that Riou had launched to put out the waves backfired. The water compleatly destroyed the house, and their were wreckage everywhere. The sight was a gruesome one to behold. The body was severly damaged, bones were sticking out from every possible body part. Mare would watch his teamate Riou pick up the body and dig a small berial, with a small cross.

Mare slowly walked up behind Riou and started to pay his dues to the girl. "I'm sorry that we couldn't save her" he muttered as he saw Riou let down a few small tears. "Just... dying so young... its just horrible". Mare tried to stutter his words, so that he would seem to be upset, but he really didnt care about the girl. Funerals were the thing that he hated most of all, and especial of someone he didn't know because its harder to fake emotions. The morning slowly followed and Riou quickly took off back to Ame, with Mare slowly behind him. "Well this is going to be boring... the trip back to Ame would be a quiet one" he thought with some dissapointment.

The foilage around them started to get more tropical and some light rain started to fall. It was a welcome change from the temperate and dry weather of Kawa. When the rain started to get more heavy there was a sign up ahead, noting them of their entrence of Ame.
