SOS! The Hunt for the Mountaineers! (Mission)

The Aburame would scout and release Kikaichu from his body to scout the area for bandits as his Uchiha Team mate helped retrieve the Kumo ninjas from the labs on the mountain tops. Soon they were all extracted, and Masakuni made a break for the mountain side. Thus far, his Kikai reporting nothing in the surrounding area to Tobi, he felt it ok to bail finally, and get on out of here with them, bugs flying in the air closely behind them. Should anything appear, the bugs would be the first to know, and let him know.

"Lets blow this popsicle stand."

“Morons.” The two bandits growled in unision, from their vantage point roughly thirty meters away, concealed in the trees. There would be a moment of silence before they acted, sneering at the two Yuki shinobi who had rescued their prey. Well, that wouldn’t do, that wouldn’t do at all. The first one, tall and blond, smirked, his feet skipping off the tree. A flurry of shuriken would fly forward, directly at the Aburame, followed quickly by a katana wielding ninja.

This straightforward attack, however, was also partially a disguise for the other ninja to pop out of hiding, roughly ten meters behind the Uchiha, a kunai in hand as he raced forward silently, his blade raised in an attempt to stab Masakuni in his shoulder blades. All the while, the hostages cowered in between the two ninja, fearing the men who had trapped them in the first place…

Surprise! Sudden Strike!

“Tsk.” Uchiha Masakuni said, his feet swirling as he dropped low, spinning around. The men in the cave had specifically mentioned bandits, indicating more than one of them. Well, so be it. As a ninja, his skills were quite a bit stronger than a mere bandit who liked to consider himself on par with a shinobi. He scoffed at the idea, and instead fluidly drew his katana, turning to face the bandit with his dark optics.

In the next moment he was gone in a swirl of snow, appearing behind the mercenary, his katana stabbed backwards, right between the shoulder blades of said bandit. If the rapid motion had the effect he desired, the bandit would be dead in a matter of moments, he would then leap forward, onyx eyes focused in on the attackers…

The boy was good... Very good. He did manage to kill his foe, causing his partner to falter before the Aburame. What he did not manage to avoid, however, was the dragging of the kunai through his arm, slashing into his bicep, as well as a smashing hand into the back of the head before he fell, life drained out of him. Quite a painful set of strikes, no doubt.

“What…” Masakuni groaned, staggering down, his katana sheathing again and his hand sliding to grip his bicep. The protective mesh had caught part of the slash, preventing the damage from being too serious, but despite this he was still bleeding quite excessively. More important was the strike to his head, leaving him to stumble forward, his vision blurring. “Tobi… Go… get them… out…” He said, stumbling into the woods, away from the battle, where more damage could be done..
