Retsu had parted from my company some time ago, something about doing something else... finding something... I couldn't be sure... My mind was elsewhere, no doubt nose deep in something to graphic to describe without killing you from sheer blood loss, so forgive my omitting it. I was more interested in training at the time, something that had been eluding me as I stalked the night, Memories enveloped me once more, too strong to shake off, as I found myself in a secluded grove, the memories taking over as I would mimic them in essence once more.

Tsubaki no Mai (Dance of the Camellia)

Skill: TaiJutsu
Effect: A technique known where the user takes their own bone along their arm, and uses it in a dance formation attacking all those around, while still moving giving them the agility speed to evade certain capabilities.
Special: ---
Drawback: The first initial movement of taking out the bone costs as much as a normal "C" Rank due to its extreme size.
Description: A bone extends from the shoulder, what can be seen in the beginning resembling what appears to be a hilt, the rest of the bone still within the flesh. As the Kaguya pulls the bone from his body, it is instantly replaced with another bone in its stead, so as not to cause the Kaguya any form of discomfort. The bone itself is more katana-like, however the bone itself is less refined than that of Yanagi no mai, but that does not make it any less deadly. Lacking in the fluid grace to the extremes like that of Yanagi no Mai, the Kaguya is usually continuously on the move, making him quite the difficult target for enemies. Even though it no longer has the grace, it makes up for this loss with its impressive speed, normally striking before the opponent even has time to react. This is the Second Dance of the Kaguya.

The thoughts came spiralling back as I found my bone drawn from my shoulder once more, a flash of mental images blinding my gaze. Another night in the past, another time at the dojo... when all was much more innocent in my life... a peaceful time, a time where I was granted solitude, a time when my mother lived still. It came slamming into my memory in full force... the Tsubaki no Mai, a flashback within a flashback, it seemed, as I recalled it all. The sound ninja in front of me, my frail ten-year old body, my mind, lost in the past. It wasso long ago... so very long ago indeed, that night I dreamt of.

I was taking classes from my mother, training in flexibility and endurance, since those seemed to be the two things she had been graced with in the art of fighting, and thusly I would to inherit those beneficial traits through her training. I stretched on the floor, easily touching my toes, going further and reaching my hand over my foot and touching my heel. I was as supple as a willow back then... Looking to my mother's smiling face, I felt belonging, I was at home there, in my element, training with mother and Renji in my youth. However, after my stretching, my mother was quick to dismiss me. I watched eagerly from the back of the class as her advanced class came in. After a brisk warm up, she set them on the task of an all versus sensei battle, which I watched in awe. All of my mothers' best students, fighting her at once? It was something to be seen.

She was once more using the bones, those rounded blocks that came down with hard thwacks as she danced the Yanagi, raining down on the protective gear they wore. Soon, more then half the class had tired, and moved to the back of the room, kneeling with me as I watched my mother dominate. All that were left were the strongest of the class. The prodigal fighters, the ones who would never say die. Their pride kept them on their feet, and they were beginning to notice a pattern in my mother's attacking, and were playing off of it. Soo, they had learned to counter her strikes, the blade of a Naginata actually striking my mother on the arm, and drawing blood. I was shocked at the offence, but the wound had soon healed, and they were once more sparring... no, I had realized by then that it wasn't a spar anymore, it was a fight.

My mother wasted no more time with the pleasantries, drawing a bone from her shoulder and weilding it as I studied her movements, learning of the Tsubaki no mai in all of its intricacies. Her graceful, quick movements fascinated me, as she parried a blow from a katana, twisting it from the hands of the boy who held it, and smacking him across his protected face, sending him sprawling to the ground. The naginata user from earlier was simillarly disarmed with a quick spinning parry, twisting the weapon out of his hands, and smacking him with the hilt of the weapon hard in the chest. With a loud gasp, he fell backwards, admiting ddefeat as he tried to find air to fill his vacant lungs. My mother was fluid, angelic even, in her movements, no time wasted as she plowed through her remaining disciples, knocking each and every one slowly to the ground.

Three remained. Renji himself, A staff weilder, and a man who held two tantos. The duel weilder moved in, seeking to make a quick strike to her left, and follow up with a cleaving blow from above, but mother was far too quick for that. Spinning away from the first blow, she parried the second, before kicking the foolish swordsman in the jaw through his helmet. He went flying through the air to hit the wall some six feet to his behind, before falling in a crumpled mess. The staff user was next, spinning his tool in a flurry as to deflect any incoming strikes, but my mother was much smarter than that. Holding her sword level, she halted the staff in its tracks before landing a firm blow to the boys chest, knocking him to the ground as he gasped in pain. All that was left was Renji. Being the only smart one of the group it seemed, he knelt before my mother, and said rather loudly. "I concede. THere isn't a chance in hell I can beat her one on one. You guys need to tire her out for me more next time."

I sat in awe as I realized just what mother, and if I tried, I myself, were capable of when we attempted as much. My hand reached over to my shoulder, rubbing in admiration as I felt the power deep within me, resting dormant, waiting to be awakened with training and practice. I would make good use of this jutsu when It came time to use it, and I wouldn't forget just what it was capable of doing either. No, This was something that was to be treasured, and used only when needed, and I wouldn't dare betray the memory of my mother by using it otherwise...

And so as I was released from a level of the illusion of my mind, I was finding myself back in the first level, the latter memory fading as I found myself entrapped once more in the stand off with the sound ninja... what a situation that had been. The two swordsmen, as I recalled were dead, but that left several genin, chuunin, and the one jounin who hid in the bushes. I couldn't be bothered then to even want to fight him. My focus was on the younger ninja.

My rage had yet to be sated as I began to feel the sting. The pain of losing the woman closest to me... my mother... after all that she had taught me... all thatt she had gone through to raise me, and to keep me safe, she had even given her life in defense of me. I would not squander such a precious gift. My opponents had taken my silence and lack of movement as a sign of defeat... how very wrong they were. They moved in, attempting to strike, and therein lay their mistake.

I picked up their movements, as they circled me, drawing in for a strike. What a foolhardy error on their part. I would lash out, spinning my razor sharp sword in a circle, and thrusting it into the throat of one particular Oto nin, a child not much older than myself. Such a pity. Kicking the corpse and dislodging my tool of death from her trachea, I would likewise draw an incision across the throat of another ninja, leaving him choking on his own blood, lying on the ground and gasping for air that wouldn't come. So much the worse for him, so much the better for me.

Two taken care of, but three more remained, two chuunin and the ever elusive jounin. Spinning on my feet, with all the grace of a ballet dancer, I would bring my weapon down across the chest of one ninja, who had drawn a kunai and attempted to parry my strikes. I would bend down to the ground, and come up in a spiral, cleaving through his flesh and muscle tissue with my handy sword, ripping through the sinew with little resistance. I was but a blur, cutting him too many times to count as I eventually watched him fall to the ground, in too much pain to resist death any longer. And then there were two.

The last chuunin had mimicked his partner, drawing a kunai, and attempting to hold my attention, but I was feral by that point. I heard the rustle in the bushes behind me, and I knew the duoble team that they were planning to set up. I could see the encroaching vines of the mokuton release, knowing that trees were growing in an attempt to catch me... but they would be too late. For with a few deft footfalls, I would attack the chuunin, watching as he moved to parry the sword, and dropping the hold on the bone with one hand to adopt a spike within my wrist from the previous dance, impaling him in the heart, and taking his kunai in the blink of an eye, and throwing it straight at the Ninjutsu master. With a groan, and a loud thunk, I heard his death, and I hastily retrieved my mothers' corpse. It wasn't long before I was as far from the Sound village as my nimble feet could carry me, and with that, I would bury my mother, in a land known only as Taki no kuni... the land of the waterfall.

Tandokunonarabi Mushi Ryuuki (Single Line Bug Projection)

Effect: The user extends a solid line of kikai towards an opponent.
Special: Extension of the Aburame shinobi’s arm.
Drawback: Doesn’t move very fast, so it is easy to dodge.
Description: The user extends a single arm, sending out one solid wave of bugs that attempt to attack the enemy. It doesn’t move very fast nor can it turn with any real efficiency, meaning this attack has difficulty keeping up with anyone that is moving.

And so, my memories, as quickly as they had come, were gone once more, leaving me holding a bone in my hand, and sweat trailing my brow as I huffed loudly in exhaustion. To think, that after all that time, the images, the gore, the very essence of the bloodshed I had committed. It made me sick. No human should be responsible for what I had done, no one man should be accountable for such a massacre as I had committed, and yet... was that the reason my nights were haunted by spectres of times long past? The fear that they instilled in me, the sheer horror of those phantasms. All of it defeated the barriers of my mind, sent me reeling in defeat as a dampened coolness would often envelope my body as I awoke from the fear, coupled with the warm twin streaks that often leaked down my cheeks from my optics.


And so, more memories found me, but were dispelled from their dwellings just as soon as they'd convened, their presence wholly unwelcome. However, in their persistence, they were distraught from their dislodging, and alas, from their attacks I sought refuge as again they moved to entrap me within a cocoon of rage and tears. Several minds entombed themselves in my own as I searched for release from the insufferable agony of my solitude, recalling the noble insects whom served my will. How selfish was I to forget that I wasn't truly alone. Perhaps honing their obedience was my golden ticket away from the pains of my past? Never was I so eager to encourage their telepathy, urging the bugs to speak and likewise to voice my will to them as well, and to have them obey me.


Struggling against the strife of years past that threatened still to engulf me, my voice wavered as I called to them, allowing my mastery to become clear as I would demand of the kikai to hear me. A deep, gruff tone, etched with the fear I made to disperse, called for the insects as my arms quaked. "Alright soldiers... It's t-time for some training..." The waves echoed within my skull, distracting me temporarily from the subconscious assault. My condition was improving, but my insect minions seemed reclusive. Apparently they hadn't heard me. "I said, IT'S TIME FOR SOME TRAINING, MAGGOTS!" The sound bellowed throughout my body, the telepathy spreading to every insect as the confines of their hives shook in my rage. Their incompetence fed the fuel needed to the fire that kept the bitter cold of the events passed away from my mind.

"A-Aye sir, what are your orders?" One seemed to ask, clearly frightened in it's mock vocalization as the two of us communicated non-verbally, and yet somehow in a form of speech at the same time. Such a power trip, the stroking of my ego erasing the vivid portrayal of things long ago from my field of vision as the kikaichu awaited my every order. I wondered them if this was what it felt like to be kage. I shook my head, knowing that there were far more problems to deal with in that position. A democracy, where in this case, it was pure dictatorship. The bugs were slaves to my will alone, and as such, I could control them at will. However, I was no man of absolution. I was indeed strict, but the bugs were allowed to do as they generally pleased. However, I felt it was about time to take things a little more seriously.

"Alright ladies, I want you all to form up in my right arm, post haste, ya hear?!" The voice no longer distorted, my arms calmed, free of their troublesome twitching, I became the lethal weapon I was. The bugs moved as ordered, spreading en masse to my palm as I aimed my hand forward, taking a tree as a target. "Alright, slow is smooth, and smooth is fast, so you know what I want you to do? I want you to move fast, and I want you to attack that tree, in one wave. You got that maggots? ONE WAVE. All at once." The insects were quick to obey, jumping ever so hastily out of my outsretched palm in a rate that could only be called instantaneous, before slowly spreading, manouvering their way forward to envelope the tree. Assuming it to be satisfactory, I would call out to the insects, praising them on their efficiency. However, I wasn't quite done yet.

Mushihenge no Jutsu(Bug Transformation Technique)

Drawback: One solid hit forces the bugs to scatter, breaking the transformation. Requires the same amount of mass in bugs as the object that it is being transformed into.
Description: The user takes a mass of bugs and by performing the Tiger handseal is capable of using the Henge no Jutsu on them to create a single solid object.

And so, gazing upon the gathered girth of insects, I knew of but one thing to do to control them the way I wished. I would transform them, indeed, change their shape and appearance with chakra alone, and thusly, I would create a mirror image of myself, the bugs would align in complete syncronization, their corellation impeccable. That would be the task I would set for myself as I called once more on my insect minions, their horde bending to my will as I would claim their undivided attention, staring at the mass of black that lay on the grass before me. Would it be a challenge? Maybe, but it would be something well worth the frustration if I could indeed complete it as I planned.

My troops were marshalled at the blare of my trumpet, my voice ringing out in the conscious passages of every insect being that was present within my range of control. "Alright maggots, not a bad job, but there's still work to be done. Next up, I want you to build a scale model of me, with only your bodies. You've been living inside me for god knows how many years, so there's no doubt that you know me inside out. I want you to put that knowledge to use, and make a henge out of yourselves, one that looks like me. You got that?!" A general ordering the peons around, nothing new to the bugs, as I would indeed see that their task was completed as I ordered. I would accept nothing less of the insects, something made clear to them via the telepathy that we shared.


"Yes sir! Understood!" A thousand seperate voices rang in my thoughts as they scurried to the task with great haste, gathering their mass together as they piled, one atop another climbing to new heights as they would begin to take form, a torrent of kikaichu rushing to their task. So indeed I would form a mound of the miniature beasts, the soldiers I commanded by will alone taking their place as I so ordered, becoming one with the image I would soon form after their hasty construction of a human form was completed. Bugs, bugs, and yet more of the mushi would climb, piling in a horde of such a great numberthat even my own deft eyes could not count. And so, a perfect black mirror of myself would stand, feet and inches away from me as my inquisitive occuli would gaze upon it.

And so came the next part of the cunning scheme, the brilliance that came with being a shinobi. Two swift hands would come together, index and middle fingers from both hands pointed skywards, the rest interlocked, and the thubs standing paralell to eachother, as I would summon the needed amout of chakra from my core, extending it to the tiger handseal I had formed so expertly, and watching as I would bring it to the very tips of my fingers, staring directly at the shadow of myself that the kikai had strived to complete. Apparently, they were quite the little perfectionists, the tiniest movements evident within their ranks as the bugs continued to shift, either feeling rather restless that I hadn't continued, or simply covering mistakes they had made.

I carried on, regarding not their movements, as my lips moved to form the words I would mutter mutely to the air around me. "Mushihenge no jutsu" The art of the bug transformation. Transformation indeed, for what I gazed upon could no longer be referred to as a bug, or a mass of bugs, or anything else for that matter, other than a perfect replica of myself. The eyes, the skin, the hair, it was flawless... However, looking at it, I noticed something, something obvious as little screechy voices told me the same thing I had already confirmed. It couldn't move. I tried to will the kikaichu to do so, but they couldn't, were simply unable to do so. I felt as though they were useless, so I fired off a bone kunai, fresh from my shoulder in their direction, watching them scatter. Of course they couldn't move. this was the mushi henge, not the mushi bunshin. I knew then what I would learn next.

Description: The user performs the handseals, creating a clone of bugs. This clone will dissipate after one solid hit. When the user first learns this jutsu, they are capable of only creating one Mushi Bunshin. However, with B ranked training, they may increase that number by one. This training may be performed a maximum of 9 times, allowing for a maximum ten bug clones.

And so, I would indeed stare at the pile of kikai left in the wake of the bone weapon I had so swiftly tossed at the transformed creatures, selfishly believing I was that I was somewhere near done. No, as reality would have it, it would seem as though I would require additional training, much more than I had initially anticipated, and so, I would yet again stare, an Icy gaze boring down as the pitter-patter of tiny feet scurrying in the grass served to do little but annoy me, the bugs within my skin doing little to better my mood as well.

It seemed as if I lacked something, a focus of some sort of which to bind the bugs together, to give them life in a new form, and to truly make them as a human in the way they were to be presented. I had made a statue of the kikai, but that was far from the living, breathing autonomous clone that I sought to craft from the hardened shells of my insect allies. That was what I lacked, so that was what I would search for, the pale eyes of a ghastly boy gazing to see what he could, and looking beyond what was presented to him to find the greater truth.

Indeed, seeking the answer was a chore quite troublesome, for I would have to find the weak link in the jutsu. What was wrong with my technique. Perhaps it was that the way I had focused my chakra had been off? It was quite reasonably well known that the handseals were of a different string than what he had so simply preformed before. Yes, those seals were many, compared to the single tiger seal used to mask the bugs in the cover of the transformation jutsu. And so, with a huff, I resigned myself to calling upon my memory, to recall those long forgotten images of my childhood so long ago in a bid to strengthen myself.

The image of a small boy, two purple dots on his forehead as he paraded around with his Aburame parents, off to spar in the park with mommy and daddy. A child who didn’t yet know why he didn’t look like his parents, who hadn’t even questioned the idea that they weren’t really his mother and father. No, I was a happier, much happier child in those days, but as they say, ignorance is bliss. The three of us together had chosen a rather nice place to train that day, a beautiful scene befell our eyes as we stepped into one of the Konoha training grounds. And so, my mother and father would train, working hard, to maintain their well earned ninja status.

Punches flew, well aimed kicks connected, ninjutsu leveled the earth and tore open the sky, and there were swarms of kikai everywhere, or at least a very young me remembered things to be that way as I myself would recall it those many years after, watching the two of them duke it out. And so, as my mother launched a wave of kikai, I saw my father make handseals, watched through four year old eyes as they came back to me, watching as a wave of bugs was deflected by a person made of bugs. A total of six handseals my observant optics would relay to me... The rat, the dragon, the ram, the horse, the monkey, and finally, the dog. My mind would slip from the joy of my youth, back to the grassy plain where I trained myself, thanking my four year old mind for having somewhat of an attention span. And so the answer seemed simple.

And yet, was it not that which seemed to be the easiest of tasks that always came to be the most difficult? Irony, an event in which that which is least expected to happen actually occurs. A perfect precursor with which to look over the actions of what had happened following my flashback with, or so I would soon discover, as a grin was wrought from the steely grimace that my features had bore not so long ago. That which I had so rightfully sought would be mine, and I would walk away with a grin on my face, and a new jutsu in my repository, or so I so selfishly believed, as I ordered the bugs back to me, watching them crawl en masse back to me, their host, their master, as I would have them pool before me, awaiting my further command.

And so, it was as I had planned, in the same method as before, my voice commanding them once more to take the shape they had assumed previously, and to do so with even greater speed than before, as I heard the words I imparted upon them. “Alright maggots, you know the drill now, so hop to it, and at double time, and don’t you let me catch wind of any moaning or you’ll wish you hadn’t been hatched! You hear me?” And yea, I was met with what so seemed to be the dullest of replies. My internal ears were met with a lame “Yes sir...” I would not stand for such a thing. “I said, DO YOU HEAR ME?!” There were few things I detested in the world, one of them being a lack of enthusiasm to do what one was told.

A thunderous uproar could be heard on all channels as the irritable kikaichu would give the reply I had demanded of them. A booming “YES SIR!” almost made me grab my ears in pain as they rang loudly in the echo of the subconscious telepathy imparted upon me. They were ready, and so they would again begin to climb, making short work of the process from before, scaling each other quickly as the insects wove a tapestry of exoskeletal flesh that was meant to mirror my own epidermis. Not bad, it would seem, the black gloss of their shiny insect hides gleaming in the noonday sun. Something to be admired, at least in my eyes. They worked hard for the insects they were, and so, I would yet again begin my attempt at what I had been planning to do the entire time.

A fully fledged likeness of myself stood before me, compiled of thousands of minuscule insects who had roamed the real thing for the majority of their lives, and the greater part of my own as well. It was, once more, a perfect insect replica, my jaw line impeccable, the protrusions that were my cheekbones flaring where they were to be expected, my nose at the appropriate length and size... perhaps the bugs knew myself even better than I did, a question I had pondered of long before in the past, and would no doubt continue to wonder of long into the future, as I gazed into a set of beady black eyes, devoid of the illusion I had yet to cast to grant the being what was needed to so empower it to movement.

And yet, I would bring my hands together yet another time, knowing then it seemed that I would be finished with just a swift flick of my deft fingers, I would be done, my task finished and a clone formed. I could find nothing wrong with my logic, for all seemed well in its processing, and so, I would inevitably do so, my hands coming together and falling apart no loess than six times each, as the handseals of the Mushi bunshin were formed. Excited to see the process, as the bugs once more resembled myself, I would ask of them to move. A simple task for a mushi bunshin, however, as the top left arm of my clone was raised, it scattered to pieces in the wind, spreading out as they sailed in the breeze, my anger mounting as so the bugs had, but in a much more rapid tempo. Things were never easy it seemed.

I could've killed someone then and there. I was frustrated beyond all terms of belief. I had done what was needed, hadn't I? I had made the handseals, and I had the kikai in proper formation. Anger struck me in such a wave then that I ran to the pile of bugs before me, not a long distance at all, and slammed my fist through the chakra leeching insect clone, watching it break apart and fall away. I kicked at the remnanats until the bugs were left in a single layer on the ground, and clawed at my visage in disbelief. How could I not have done it? How was it that I still had yet to achieve my goal?! My mind, fraught with frustration and rage tried to focus, tried to single in on what it was that evaded my mind. It was almost hope shattering knowing I was so close and yet so far at the same time.

But, with determination rising within my gut, I would find new resolve. I would not have my goal turn and make a mockery of me. It was a mushi bunshin, and I, a monster perhaps, was human, and so, I was better than it, I was stronger, smarter, and if I tried, I could find the answer to the problem that faced me. It wouldn't be too hard, It was just a problem of figuring out what caused the bugs to fall apart. Their structure was brittle, falling apart as they moved, unable to hold together. So, if that was the problem, the solution would be to find a way to keep them stuck together. But how? What was it that would preform such a miracle? I knew of how to stick myself to things, with my hands and feet, but could the same kind of chakra be used to bind the bugs as well?

What kind of ninja would I be if I didn't try. My hands would come together once more, My left index and middle fingers pointed skywards, were engulfed by the reach of my right hand, My right index finger covering my left as chakra surged towards the formation of the rat. Then, my hands would break contact for a second, My thumbs finding each other, the left atop the right as my pinkies pushed against one another, forming a triangle. The rest of my fingers would interlock with their partners as the dragon came to be as well. Next came the Ram, my fingers finding the home they had known long before I had moved to make the seal as they came together, completing half of the jutsu then and there. But yet before my eyes something else was happening.

Apparently, urged on by my own determination, the Kikaichu had found new will as well, and were rapidly piling up into a human shape. Their black bodies crawling up one another as I tried, nay, willed the chakra that I used to form the clone to be of the variety needed, to interlock the bugs together in a way that would keep the clone from dispersing the way it had before. A tower of Kikaichu formed itself rapidly as I brought my hands to make the horse, all of my digits tucked inwards, save for my index fingers, which came together at the tips, the other fingers locking together, and my thumbs rested on the knuckles of my indexes. I could feel the chakra pushing forward, enveloping the bugs as they moved to finish their effigy of myself, insects and their keeper working together to achieve the desired goal.

My thumbs wold find homes nestled in the grooves between my pinky and ring fingers as I found myself making the second last seal, concentrating as hard as I could towards that which I, which we, desired. It was so close I could taste it. Frustration long gone, I was focused as I could be, my left hand coming to rest over the balled up fist that was my right as I finished the string of seals and closed my eyes. This would be it. The clone would be standing before me. It's capability of movement unknown to me... I would lift the droopy lid of one eye as a hand reached out to grab my shoulder, and a voice spoke out to me. "Well, boss, I think we did it! Hoo-Rah!" And with that, I almost fell backwards from the sheer joy of the situation. I had done it. I had created a clone capable of movement, and apparently, speech as well.

Description: A technique that launches finger bones in a projectile like form. The Muscles and the nerves contract against one another greatly to where they somewhat spiral in within the body. When the user constricts their fingers in such a way they begin to push the bullet outwards as the bullet begins to gain pressure from the way it is constricted until the bone is projected out of the human body spiralling at high speeds being sent off towards its target.

My victory evident in the clone before me, I would dispell it, watching black insects crawl back up my legs and into my body. I wondered what mother would say of that, if she had seen what I had done. I would never know now I supposed. My training with the Kikaichu was done now, however, and I was ready to become stronger, to put my past behind me, as I had so often done before. Now was the time to train myself, and to be quite honest, I was fully ready to do so, ready to be able to protect the ones I cared about, like Retsu… for if something were ever to happen to her…

Shaking the thought from my head, I instead focused upon my hands. Hmm, deadly weapons they were indeed, the hands of one with a bone pulling Bloodlimit. Truly, my hands alone could do more damage than any swordsman might, could indeed rip to shreds any foe I so chose. The minute muscles within my fingers tingled in anticipation at the thought of just what exactly I could do with such devastating armaments, the possibility of what they were able of doing, the ability to use them the way I envisioned. I would make it happen, and I would make those who raised issue with me feel the biting sting… of Hessendan.

The metacarpals, the very tips of my fingers, lethal weapons simply waiting for expulsion. They could call me a monster if they wanted, but the sick grin that reached my features then was only at the realization of how useful the technique would be in defending my village. I would have no one else telling me otherwise. Chakra and muscle movement was the key in this jutsu, I realized, the former enhancing the latter, and my own Bloodlimit making the entirety of the technique possible. With a whisper of thanks to my mother, I would look rather avidly for a target.

Thankfully, I wasn’t nearly as dense as some might have thought, and saw the trees that surrounded me. A sycamore, tall and proud, was before my icy view, selecting it as my target. With a grin, I would raise my arms, feeling the vibrating sensation in my hands, almost a low, monotonous tone that reverberated around, becoming evident as I gathered chakra in my hands, letting it build up to critical mass. My fire would be as an arrows volley, or so I believed, making quick work of the foe, and leaving me to celebrate an easy victory. This couldn't be too hard, after all... could it?

Selecting a particular burl on the mighty plant, I took aim, narrowing my gaze to find one small spot on the protuberance before chuckling. This was far too easy. Concentrating solely on my target, I would smirk, finding the strength to let the critical mass release, and forcing my bones forward, sending them spiralling forward and speeding toward my target at a rate that could only be considered as a snail’s pace. I looked down at the tips of bone that fell loosely from my fingertips. Apparently, this was going to be a bit harder than I had initially expected. With that, a single word escaped my lips.

I had indeed underestimated what was required of me, but I was not one to be so foolish as to give up with that. No, I would only work harder, my determination unfaltering in the face of such a menial chore. It would not have me as the decided loser, no, it would only make me stronger, making me want the perceived goal that much more, and with that, I would bring my chakra forth from my core again, gritting my teeth as the metacarpals regenerated. The tree would fall, I would see to it. I would not have it any other way, would not stand to see it happen in any other such fashion. It would meet its doom that day, and I would be the bringer, the one to deliver the death blow to the sycamore.

Not what could be called an easy task ahead of me, I felt the bones re-grow as I took aim once more, the knotted flesh of the tree only serving to mock me. Very well, I would destroy its mocking features, and leave it broken. After all, I could always plant another in its place. Such things weren’t hard to do, nor stressful in the least, and the tree was, after all just a tree. Not to mention, it was no hard task for one versed in the ways of mokuton ninjutsu. However, I wasn't working on mokuton, jutsu, as I realised rather bluntly. It was back to training for me, it seemed, as I thought of my previous victory, and was inspired onwards yet again.

That familiar tingle was once more in my hands as I brought my fingers together, pointing the tip of each digit straight at my target. Was there any chance I could fail? A moderate one, I supposed, but I wouldn’t give up with just a simple failure. I had proven as much already, and I was a Kaguya. I could regenerate my bones all day if I had to. Granted, eventually, I would have to stop and clean my system of the toxic calcium that would no doubt build up, but that said, I couldn’t have cared less. I was strong, and if my way was to be had, I would become the strongest of all Takigakure ninja.

My hands were nearly twitching with strain, as the Hessendan begged to be released it seemed. I would wait a little longer. The finger bullets could wait a little longer to seek their target. The amassed chakra throbbing in my fingers was like a rush. I could feel it there, straining to be put to use as it built up. I would take the sight of my target in once more, before aiming more carefully. With that done, my focus shifted to the plane of the tree, my hands a blur in front of me, as I started to actually use the chakra.
The bullets would find their target, go streaming through, and level the beast before me, and I would be done, at least, that was what I believed, but, I had yet to be proven wrong, so, what could it hurt to fantasize?


The energy inside me coursing towards my hands, manipulating the muscles within my dexterous fingers, would be put towards squeezing them, making them force out the bones at a rate of a projectile much faster expelled than any thrown weapon. After all, big things came in little packages, or so they say. With a grunt, the ten small fragments were expelled roughly from my digits at a speed most immeasurable as I let a few more words escape my lips. “Damn. How’d I miss?” For as I saw, the bullets had strayed from their intended course, and had branched off in several different directions. Still more work was required? I sighed in regression as I moved once more to attack.

Aim was my problem? Then aim would be my solution. I stared warily at my target, fully understanding the distance and wind in the air being the majority of what was my problem. Having to adjust for these variables was annoying enough as it was, but I would do it anyway, sticking my finger in my mouth briefly, and holding it aloft above my head. After a few seconds, I pulled it down to eye level to examine it. The left side of the finger had dried first. Given that it was late in the day, the sun setting to my front. That meant a southern wind was blowing. I’d have to take that into account.

If I knew one thing about projectiles and wind resistance, it was that things flying straight were more easily affected by crosswinds then those sent spinning. Wondering how I was going to manage to make the bones in my finger spin, I thought of my muscles. Surely if I contracted them rapidly in a certain fashion so as to squeeze the muscles each one by one in a hastened pace, following a circle pattern, that would surely reap the desired results. My muscles rippling in anticipation, I aimed my arms upward, looking haughtily as the tree… If I knew this jutsu right, there wouldn’t be much left of the plant afterwards.

Chakra surged from my coil once more as I pointed simply my index finger, the first tool of destruction at the tree. I focused, letting my eyes roam to my target, selecting the smallest point I could find, and squeezing all of my muscles in the pattern from before. My metacarpal weapon staining in its bonds, I fired it fast and free, letting it go as it would, not a second later, slam into the wooden behemoth before me, spinning and drilling straight through the beast out to the other side. I mouthed but one word as I did spit the bone from my finger, watching it the best I could as it found its target.

“Bang.”

And with that done, my other index finger would follow in the same manner, the top most rung of bone being expunged with extreme prejudice at the tree as I admired the hole made from the first. Ripping through the air, it too would find its target nestled in obscurity beyond the tree as it powered through the bark, spearing through brittle timber, and moving on through to the other side. My eyes lit up with glee as I fired three and four, my middle fingers following suit of the indexes as I called out. “Bang, Bang, Bang!” The sensation was amazing, even though knowing what I was doing to the tree, could be easily replicated with human flesh, I knew that I was one who would only use such a thing when the time called for it.

With four fingers down, four more, and two thumbs were quick to follow, drilling themselves too through the wooden mass of their opponent. The ability to aim individually was obtained it seemed, but now, I wanted what would help the most in a fight. I would take aim once more, holding my hands up, and gritting my teeth as the bones regenerated once more. Staring down my timber foe for what I knew would be the last time, the damage from my earlier volley all too evident as it creaked in the wind, a fist sized hole punched through the center of the behemoth. Levelling my arms to the required height, I would take aim once more, Squeezing as I had so done before, and watching as bones sailed forward, scoring hits into the tree, passing through all the same as the others. I walked forward, placing a hand on the tree as I bent down to admire my handiwork from up close, however, as I put my weight on the tree, It groaned, and fell over, ripping in half at the hole in the middle.

“Sh*t… Note to self; only use this when the situation ABSOLUTELY calls for it…”

Fuuton Kaze no Senbon (Needles of the Wind)

Description: The ninja gathers air with his hands and mixes it with chakra, by doing this he transforms them into sharp and deadly needles. The needles are almost invisible so it is hard for the enemies to see them. This technique may be blocked by large objects, however something small such as a sword, or a staff will allow the needles to seperate still moving towards the object it was originally sent to. Not a powerful technique as the user is capable of hurling up to ten senbon wind needles that gives out minor cuts. However this could be used as a more of a set up technique to allow the user to perform a more dangerous technique.

With the power of Hessendan so readily available to me now, I realized something that came as quite a shock. I heally had no ability to make ranged attacks. All of my fighting was done in close quarters. I could not think of a single technique that I had mastered, other then hessendan that was, in all forms of nature a purely ranged attack. To leave myself so wide open was surely a drawback... was it not? I would have to work to change that, and so, as I recalled a few jutsu from an age old scroll I had read countless years ago, a scroll of wind jutsu, and so as I did ponder on that memory, the knowledge came back to me. I would shoot needles of the wind from my maw, and fire them, unseen at my unknowing opponent.

Chakra surged as I would focus my will, mixing handseals, the formation and manipulation of my chakra evident in the motion, coming together as a solution rather divine, to make the needles of air, those thin slivers of death, a true Kami kaze if I had ever heard of one. To weild such power, to have such a destructive force primed and ready was my ultimate goal, and as I thought about it, it wouldn't be too hard to make use of such potential, the lethality of it seeming rather amazing. Chakra gathered as I willed it towards my lungs, the handseals I would form mixing it with the air there, as yet more chakra was gathered to my mouth the focal point of the jutsu, and where perhaps the energy was needed most.

Formation of the needles would no doubt be the hardest part of the technique, but who was I to let such a miniscule task stop me from the completion of it. Long, thin, physically substantial lines of chakra were beginning formation, and lo, I would concentrate harder, willing them to take shape as I bent my will towards their conception. They grew, slowly at first, but more so as I squeezed every ounce of available concentration to the task, coercing a responce from the lines of chakra. Their formation near completion, that being imminent, I grinned in steely malice as I chose another target. An oaken foe, this time I chose to make an enemy of, thwarting his life with a blast of air. My mind was truly troubled then, but oft it felt good to be bad for some reason.

The creation of the needles aside, the focus went back to my facial orifice, the exit point of the damaging tools. There would be the place I wold need to work on the most. For it was there that the needles past from my internal system and were exhaled into life, moving as air and slicing through skin, sinew, bone, and in this case, bark and wood. A new point to will my facets into honing, I would create a film of chakra between my lips, that being the point where the needles left the realm of the body and entered the realm of the physical. From that point on, they would no longer be simply chakra, but weapons, each as potentially lethal, if not more so, than their steel counterparts.

The film stretched and complete as my thin, ghastly lips would form an "O", I would exhale, my breath moving the chakra with it, sending the tools of doom speeding off towards their target. Passing through my oesophagus, and up out of my trachea, through my mouth, they would pass through the film, entering reality as they tore through the open air, shooting off towards their target. My eyes would observe the barely visible, shifting air as it would collide with the wood of the tree, and yea, my face would light up in glee as I watch the devastating needles rend bark from wood, surely as they would do so with flesh and bone. How wonderful it was to be able to know I was protected thusly, and could indeed count at least two jutsu within my repitoire of long disance techniques. However, it wasn't enough for my liking... I had to possess more, had to acquire yet ggreater quantities of the attacking jutsu to become strong, to be able to defend my village!

Kaze Ya no Jutsu (Wind Arrow Technique)

Effect: User is capable of breathing inwards and exerting outwards a large like arrow to pierce into the opponent's body.
Special: User takes in a deep breathe filling their lungs with air.
Drawback: Only one may be created at a time.
Description: The user molds chakra and breathes in. He or she then blows out and an arrow made of wind is shot from the user’s mouth. This arrow may be blocked as it is just a large consumption of wind, however it can not be deflected away. This means that the object must be large in size enough to defend from one against the wind. The size of the arrow is the size of the opponent's mouth with the length of three feet as it can travel up to the distance of twenty meters. This technique is used for short range to stear an opponent away from the user.

And so, my mind turned to yet another jutsu to deal with the wind, a powerful one at that, although not nearly as lethal as the other, for it was but one projectile. However, the one blast of air itself was to be as wide as my mouth and three feet long, so it was deadly none the less. That said, I could only begin to wonder at what power could be harnessed from the Kaze ya no jutsu, a wind arrow of death, a harbringer of defeat surely in my hands. I hated to think in such terms, but the sheer arousal that the power brought to my young mind was immense, the idea of being so powerful, and of paying back the sound village for all that they had done to me... No, I wouldn't, couldn't be so violent. There was more to life than anger and vengeance, and as my thoughts turned to a certain purple haired girl, I knew I could find a better use for the jutsu than belligerent slaughter.

A jutsu that didn't require handseals? The idea intrigued me, but I was game, for I was never one to leave something undone. A grin on my face, I would begin to gather the needed chakra, closing my eyes and focusing as I began to recall what exactly I had done before. It was forming a beam of chakra within my lungs, then widening it as needed, and expelling it as I breathed. Not a hard task, as I had so proved the time before, and yet, this was on so much more of a grander scale. Such a large, single bolt, to be unleashed from my lungs, a grand creation of chakra to be fired at an opponent. This was no simple senbon, this was more along the lines of a javelin. Indeed, I would have to work hard to make this come to fruition.

A film of chakra once more enveloped my lips, but it was different this time. There was no room to store three feet worth of solid, pre-formed chakra within my lungs. So instead, I would merely push forward the chakra as it came from my lungs, lengthening it into the weapon as it would no doubt speed out of my mouth like a bat out of hell. And therein would lie the problem. How was it that I was supposed to do so? The film I had prepared before had given the chakra physical mass, but the one now coating them would be forming the shape of the chakra and giving it the density it required to be of any use. A tricky thing to pull of, no doubt, but then again, I wasn't exactly a novice, either.

The beam of chakra grew wider, thickening as I concentrated it into a roughly cylindrical shape. An arrow, a spear, regardless of what one called it, it was a tool of fuuton based impalement, and it was forming in the air sacs that I knew to be my respiratory system. The size and shape was conceieved properly, and the javellin of dom began to take proper shape. It wouldn't be long before I would launch it too from my gut at something or other, a target really not needing to be specific, so long as I succeeded in preforming the technique properly. For the hell of it, I chose a rock about fifteen feet away, large in size and round in shape. My wind arrow probably wouldn't scathe it, but it couldn't hurt to try, just to see what would happen.

And so, with a deep breath, and a last second to make sure I was confident that everything was right, I would regurgitate the chakra, feeling it woosh out of my lungs in a large gasp, passing through my open mouth, and taking form almost instantaneously as it exited, a sarp and pointy spear head forming as it shot through, followed by a long, modrately thick tail. Blasting into the mineral creation that was the boulder I had chosen before to be my target, the arrow was of little effect, causing only minor damage to the proud stone. However, I was far away then, celebrating yet another victory inside my mind as I thought of all of the possible uses for such a wonderful jutsu. Clearly things were going better than I had initially hoped.
