The day had begun anew. Clouds settle over the Mist Village. Pouring rain down upon the people. Daisuke, lifted from his bed. Peering out the fog clouded window. Out into the path below, People scurried beneath the lips of rooftops, avoiding the rain. "What a beautiful day." The boy, whispered. Letting a small sigh pour out from between his lips. Even if it were a beautiful day, he certainly did not enjoy getting up for it. Daisuke rolled out of his bed, onto the floor. Laying upon the cold surface, for a moment. Looking up at the ceiling. He had just become a Gennin. The lowest of the low, in Ninja Statics. If he wanted to improve, he would certainly need to learn GenJutsu! It was an Art his Mother and Father both processed. Who better to teach him? Both of them, had experience with GenJutsu. His father used several techniques of GenJutsu in his Davine Art. His mother was an Accomplished GenJutsu Specialist.
After a while, Daisuke emerged from his bedroom. Trotting down the stairs and into the kitchen. Where, he would great his Mother and Father, "Good Morning." He said, both replied with happy greetings. The family would eat the meal, Mrs. Yasnunori had prepared. After, everyone would help with the dishes. Certainly, not a fan of cleaning up the kitchen... Daisuke caught his mother's attention. Oi, Momma. I want to learn about GenJutsu." The woman turned to face the young boy. "Are you sure, you're ready? You only graduated from the Academy, yesterday." Daisuke let out a heavy and long drawn out sigh. "Of course, I'm ready. I'm a Ninja, now." Mrs. Yasunori would smile, her child was growing up, so quickly. Besides, how else would he improve? She nodded, leading the boy away from the pile of dishes. Leaving them all for Mr. Yasunori to clean up!
Naturally, Daisuke was quite happy with himself. Narrowily avoiding cleaning up dishes. Mother and Son had eventually ended up in the family room. Where Daisuke flopped down onto the couch. Mrs. Yasunori maneuvered into the center of the room. Looking down upon the boy. "Let's see... I'll teach you about Pattern Perception" The woman took a deep breath. Gathering her thoughts for a minutes.. "Let's see..." She started out, slowly. "With Pattern Perception you are capable of performing Jutsus that deal with the type of perception of Pattern kind." Daisuke stared blankly at her... With a confused expression. Did that make any sense? "For example... Koukou Kei!" Mrs. Yasunori performed a quick motion of handseals. Directly after the handseals had formed, an array of lights roared into the air around his mother. Vibrant colors of all different kinds. Several different shades of blues, reds, and greens. Daisuke gazed into the strange rainbow of colors, mesmerized by the strange pattern of colors. As the GenJutsu ended, it left Daisuke with a strange affect. Looking around the room, he saw things of different colors. The boy closed his eyes, shaking his head a bit. As the affect started to wear off.
The boy took a moment to regain his composure, looking around the room. It had finally gone away.. "Oi, Momma... I didn't like that GenJutsu... I prefer my Grey's and Black's." He huffed, annoyingly. "Of course, you didn't like it. It's an annoying trick, I know." She laughed, loudly. The woman would come to sit on the couch beside her son. Resting her hand upon his head, giving his hair a bit of ruffle. "I'm trying to teach you the basics of Pattern Perception. You have to understand it, before you can use any GenJutsu's dealing with it." Daisuke nodded, a bit. He was beginning to understand. In order to use that Dazzling Lights GenJutsu, he would first have to understand Pattern Perception. Though, he prayed there were a lot cooler GenJutsu's in the area of Pattern Perception... Using Dazzling Lights in a battle, would only get him a decent laugh. Certainly, wouldn't save his life. Daisuke frowned, imagining the onslaught of laughter rolling out of the snide mouth of his enemy.
Mrs. Yasunori would continue... "Pattern Perception GenJutsu creates an image that others can see, but a pattern also affects the minds of those who see it or are caught in it." She explained, using her hands to convey general ideas. "All Patterns are mind-affecting Jutsus" Daisuke took in a deep breath. The child's brain absorbing in every word. Rearranging and categorizing those words into meaningful sentences that he could understand. "Thanks, Momma." Daisuke said, lightly. Lifting onto his feet. He adventured out of the room, up the stairs and directly into his bedroom. The boy flopped back down onto the bed. Looking up at the ceiling for a while. As he went over the explanation in his head. His eye rolled to the left, looking to the window. Into the Grey clouds above. While, he lay lazily in bed. Daisuke's brain continued to process the information. If he wanted to become stronger. He would have to put the knowledge of Pattern Perception to use.
Daisuke lifted from the bed. Scooting his rear to the edge, legs hung over the edge. Beginning to kick his heels against the bed's platform. "Pattern Perception GenJutsu creates an image that others can see, but a pattern also affects the minds of those who see it or are caught in it." He said, to himself.. "Pattern Perception GenJutsu creates an image that others can see, but a pattern also affects the minds of those who see it or are caught in it." Daisuke, began to repeat this phrase over and over again. Until, it sunk into his brain. Plastered into his thoughts. The repetition of the phrase would continue for another hour, before Daisuke fell backwards onto the bed. His eye fell shut, as he drifted into sleep.
Only to be haunted in his dreams, Pattern Perception had occupied his thoughts so much, he begun to dream about it! Certainly, Daisuke was in hell. Instead, of dreaming of beautiful women, as every teenage boy would. Daisuke was plagued with Pattern Perception! The boy wandered around his dream, as the definition of Pattern Perception was repeated over and over by his inner voice. Shortly there after, an image of his mother appeared. Performing the dazzling lights GenJutsu, over and over again. It certainly was a nightmare! The boy awoke, two hours later in a cold sweat. Sitting up, he wiped the sweat from his brow... Letting out a long drawn out sigh. "That sucked..." He huffed, heavily...
