Mist Rebirth~! Mizukage/Genin Festival [Event]

Nanami Uchiha walked slowly from her home in mist to where she had heard that today was to be some sort of festival for the day. And it seemed that she was not the only one to hear about this thing. People seemed to congregate all over to a spot. Walking in mostly blending into the crowd and followed the all into where the festivities were just beggining. Maybe this would be worthwhile to spend a little time with the rest of the mist village. Or she may be wrong. Though either way, there was no way that she could leave now, it would be rather rude if she left before the true festivities had even began.

She walked by a few of the concession stands before she could no longer withhold the temptation to take something from them. Deciding to take a drink of whatever it was, she didn't really care. Taking a sip, feeling the sweet tasting drink pass through her lips. Whatever this was she rather enjoyed it. Though so far she hadn't found anyone to talk to. She knew that it wouldn't be too long.

Perhaps if Kouketsu had been in his younger years, the glorious days of murder and butchery, this boy before him would've been slain. But instead, with Hinagiku's approval through lack of words, he would choose another route to silence this fool. His lips had pursed into a smile mid-way through the other persona's sentence, and by the time it was finished his was already beginning. T'was but a simple command.

Koi, come here...

A thought that flew from his lips like a bird in the form of a calling, permeating through the clouds of people until at last it would find her; she would hear him, as she always did, and there would at last be resolution. Of course there was no hostility in his voice, for violence coming from his own fingers had long since appalled him. His subordinate, however, was an entirely separate case.

It'd only be a matter of seconds.

The very fabric of time was lost to me as I once more took up motion, vanishing from whence I stood in favor of descending to the ground once again. I sifted through the crowd of people as a phantom, jettisoning along the stone without effort. Soon, I would tarry along the central stage, hiding within the shadows as I cast my eyes out and into the mass of people. Truly, it was turning out to be a rather eventful festival.

--But there had to be more.

Upon my command did Mirahi rise into the air, hovering only slightly before bursting off into the heavens. My eyes lifted to view his majestic form turn in mid-air, aerial tricks coming forth to awe and wow the patrons as he roared out. Powerful streams of azure seemed to emanate from his body, what light was present bouncing prestigiously from his amber scales and causing the entity to glisten as it took flight.

It would only be a matter of time before the true event would begin. Until then, I need only rest and relax until news would be spread from the Mizukage. In the meantime, I could only watch in mild amusement as Kouketsu called out to Koi. Knowing him, and knowing him well, there was something afoot. Perhaps I would inevitably move closer to explore, no handseals performed as my Sharingan was birthed unto me once more. Vanishing in my entirety, the gift of perpetual invisibility would allow me to move unnoticed to his side.

"Planning on a puppet show, Kouketsu?" I muttered. Barely audible, he would be the only one to receive these words before Koi's arrival could be manifest.

And in silence would I walk, moving with quiet efficiency through the streets of the festival. I had gone away to reconcile myself and to feel my strength enhance. I had known that all these people, especially that bitch Hinagiku, would certainly make staying within this festival for too long much more than a trial. It would be turned into a murder scene, and I was well aware of the regard that Kouketsu-sama felt for those who shared the glory of the Mist Headband. While certainly it was nothing even remotely close to the dedication that my love and his brother felt towards the clan that all three of us shared, it was still there.

I had taken the time off and now I was prepared to re-enter the festival and face every one of the imbeciles who shared my home. A frown was etched onto my face at the thought of seeing the woman who had somehow caught the affection of Kouketsu-sama as well, and knew that one day I was going to have to eliminate her. That day, though, wouldn't be today and as such, I was going to have to smile when I saw the woman again and pretend as if I liked or respected that wench. Sighing, I would look up to the sky, the emerald pools that were my eyes looking into the clouds.

It was then, at the moment when eyes saw the sky, that a powerful calling would reach me. I knew from the depths of my being that Kouketsu-sama wanted me at his side again. Instantly, a smile would fill my lips and I would race forward, now more hungry than ever to be at his side and to feel his presence. Nodding to myself, finally I would notice him, although he was certainly not alone. I was coming from behind him, and so I knew that he would not be able to see me, but I wanted to surprise and impress him. As such, I moved to an alleyway. Once there, a quick application of chakra to my feet and hands sent me scaling up the wall.

Finally on the roof, overlooking the area, I would then race towards the edge of the roof and then fling myself off, soaring gently through the air until I would land at the side of Kouketsu-sama with a soft 'thump'. Standing up, I would smile at him and say, "Kouketsu-sama!" It took all of my effort not to rush towards him, but I knew immediately that something had displeased him. Once more, the frown would appear upon my face and my eyes would shift about, wondering what would be the cause of Kouketsu-sama's negativity. If I found it, there's no doubt at all that the source would be existing within this plane of existence no more.

The festival crowd "oohed" and "ahhhed" As he stood, a figure suddenly landed next to the man. A robed girl thin with glasses stood after her graceful landing. "Koutetsu-sama" She said elated with being next to Koutetsu.

Her joy was replaced with intent as her bespectacled eyes landed on Kotaro. The air was instantly tense as this new arrival surely was under the command of Koutetsu. Kotaro's left arm had subconsciously rested onto his sword.

"Koutetsu-sama...? Hmph." He said looking at the young girl mocking her adoration of him. Heated blood raced in Kotaro's body priming him for battle. His eyes arrowed as these words poured from his now sadistic smile.

"Are you willing to die for your "Lord".

The world suddenly was smaller in Kotaro's eyes. The area around him, Koutetsu, Hina and the robed girl is what only mattered to him now. The crowd was nothing but a oozing dark gray shadow in his periphery.

Perhaps, brother.

A barely audible response, but audible nonetheless. Indeed, the crowd was quite surprised by the woman's entrance to the festival grounds. It seemed that this spectacle would serve as some kind of act, masking the true malicious content that dwelt within the boundaries of Kirigakure. Kouketsu, who still stood beside his beloved Hinagiku, merely motioned toward the man prior to his mocking. Another command - he was not one to waste time.

Koi... remove this refuse impeding my path.

There really wasn't much else to say. Without a blink, Kouketsu's eyes bled from the center of his iris out, decorate with several tomoe marking his Sharingan's adulthood. From there, his hands which had stayed upon Hinagiku's body would serve as a bridge between their inner sanctums, funneling sparks of chakra into her as to keep the surprises out without her knowledge of doing such - though he was sure she'd feel it.

That's when the threat came... or, attempted threat, at least.

The heat of the moment certainly had me surprised. Hostility poured openly from the young child who stood in the way of Kouketsu-sama. If it wasn't for Kouketsu-sama's love of Kiri nin, he would have already been destroyed. The frown that had appeared on my face quickly deepened as my eyes would narrow to my opponent. And then, I heard a whisper, Kouketsu-sama speaking to his brother, it would seem. That was strange, I hadn't seen Anotsu anywhere, but then again, he was Kouketsu-sama's brother, and surely if he didn't want to be seen he wouldn't be.

Then, to my surprise, I heard Kouketsu-sama speak. Startled, the content of his words sent a shiver of anticipation down my side. Here was what I had been looking for, the permission to destroy one of the pathetic imbeciles who thought that they ever dared to dream of achieving Kouketsu-sama's greatness. With the command given, I would nod once, curtly, and then the frown upon my face would change a little bit. Looking back at Kouketsu-sama, I would smile the smile of radiant joy that I felt whenever I was around him. With contentment, I decided that I would speak.

"It shall be as you say, Kouketsu-sama. However, first-- we mustn't allow this Kiri nin to leave our presence without a song, do you not agree?" Since all of my Genjutsu techniques that I had acquired were recent, and Kouketsu-sama hadn't been with me as I had practiced them, he wouldn't know about the songs and would probably find my request odd. However, I would waste no time, opening the satchel that I wore slung across my shoulder, reaching in and obtaining two things. The first would be an explosive note that Kotaro wouldn't be capable of seeing due to my hands being within the pouch. This note was attached to the inside of my robe on my right-hand side.

Then, I would pull out the Mateki that I had named Ren'ai, allowing its' wooden frame to be seen. I doubted that Kotaro had ever seen a Mateki before, but even if he had, this Mateki's shape was different than the average one, as it had been hand-made by the person that the Mateki was named after. As I saw it, the smile on my face would widen even more. There was genuine joy on my face. Then, closing the bag, I would look towards Kotaro and would speak. "What song would you like to be your final serenade?" With that said, I would bring the flute up to my lips and take a deep breath.

Interesting.

I had easily discerned Kotaro's movement, the Sharingan allowing me to dive into his realm of actions well before they would take place. The divinity of my vision was untampered as I allowed my occuli to rest solely upon his actions, Koi and Kouketsu's inevitable kinetic energy allowing me to lie in wait. Of course, with my Invisibility present, there were none that could see that I had taken my place nearby. Such was the art of stealth, that if necessary, I could simply apply the Flash Step to his southern flank and cleave him in twain.

But no. The will to defend those that were loved was embedded within Koi's eyes. Even at my angle, I could easily give witness to the determination filtering out of every pore. There was a distinct emotion of attachment that was easily shielded by her facade, and even more intriguing was her method of attack. As she withdrew the flute, my Sharingan still analyzing all that was occurring around me, I slowly reached into my own pouch and withdrew twin kunai. Noiselessly had I done so, the proximity between ourselves and Kotaro unhindered by the matter of other bodies. With such noted, I was more than welcome to acquire a taste for sanguine malice and rend him at the seams.

I would not allow any to defy my people's pride. Though he was obviously of Kirigakure's foundation - what, with his presence here - I would not hesitate to lather the streets with the scarlet I could produce from the artificial orifice I would carve into his silhouette. And even then, I could not help but feel pity on this unknowing patron.

This "Daniel" was now in the lion's den; unfortunately for him, not even faith and a prayer would allow him to avoid the ivory daggers of these beasts' maws.

In this seemingly endless moment, chakra was poured into my optic nerves to invoke my Kekkai Genkai's Genjutsu should Koi have needed the assistance. Though, with the expression upon her countenance? I seriously doubted that she would.

Kotaro watched as Koutetsu's eyes suddenly changed to something that triggered a strong memory. A strong enemy. Maybe one of his greatest fights in his life. The bonfire that was the momentary rage had been stoked by revenge.

"Those red eyes again..."

"It shall be as you say, Kouketsu-sama. However, first-- we mustn't allow this Kiri nin to leave our presence without a song, do you not agree?" But this revelation had to be put on hold as the female had fetched a flute. "What song would you like to be your final serenade?" She readied to play bringing it to her lips.

Thoughts raced in Kotaro's mind. This wasn't going to be just an innocent song. This gesture of song could be something much more. A distraction. He couldn't let this happen. Koutetesu eyes would surely bring him some insight into his movements as Kotaro brought his hands together in the Dragon, Ox, Snake, Ox, Tiger handsigns. Kotaro's eyes would look straight into hers channeling chakra into a genjutsu.

If successful, The female would see five wooden pillars pierce into her body. They would pierce into her arms, legs and the final pillar into her chest. Her body would be paralyzed hopefully halting her from playing any notes.

Description: The user performs the handseals and then looks the opponent directly in the eyes. Five wooden pillars will pierce through the opponent’s arms, legs, and chest, totally preventing them from moving. The opponent feels no pain from the jutsu, but instead cannot move. The pillars actually act to full-body paralyze the opponent, but can only be maintained through eye contact. If the user looks away from the opponent’s eyes, the Genjutsu is immediately broken.

Determination radiated from this insolent child who thought that he might be somewhere within the same league as Kouketsu-sama and myself- we, who were mighty Uchiha warriors, while he was naught but a foolish child running his mouth against his superiors. I felt anger sift into my resolve, and for the first time ever, I could truly begin to feel the pride of the Uchiha Clan building within my body. It was within this moment that my opponent would begin to make his move, and it wasn't one that I had expected. Quite frankly, I was astounded by his next course of action, a hostile attack at a festival.

I didn't linger upon the thought though. My eyes, noticing the movement of my opponent's hands, would drift down on their own accord, looking into the boy's movements as he performed the handseals that would release a technique. However, I too would waste no time, and the moment my head begin to drop just a little, bringing my eyes down with them, I would exhale through pursed lips as the haunting melody of "The Inner Thorn of Despair" would begin to sound. Each note would quickly resonate outwards, effecting every one of those around us; Hinagiku, the Mizukage, and Kouketsu. Of course, Atsuhiro would be effected by the technique as well, but I wasn't aware of his presence in the slightest.

As the song filtered outwards, moving within the speeds of sound, which sifts dreamily at the threshold of 343 m/s, my Genjutsu would now hold the thrall of all of those around. I knew not to be concerned with Kouketsu-sama; he was a powerful Uchiha warrior, and wouldn't be effected by the pathetic use of parlor Genjutsu such as this, and to be quite honest, I wasn't afraid of inflicting any pain at all to Hinagiku, who could easily be called my rival for the affection of Kouketsu-sama. Since those were the only two I really had to worry about, I let my chakra run throughout the waves, and my opponent would be effected.

The song's power was immense. Without any warning, my opponent would ascend into "Hell"- a realm of nothing but dark shapes and difficult lighting; a realm that would be completely foreign to our shinobi standing before us. At that same moment, cables would begin to spring forth from the ground, moving at speeds incalculable to surround and bind my opponent to the ground. And then the worst would take place. The moment he was bound, excruciating pain would suddenly be able to be felt all over his body as the thick thorns would begin to pierce him from the inside of his body outwards.

As the song took its' hold on my opponent, I would walk forward, taking the two steps it would take me to get within melee distance of my opponent. At this close range, I could feel triumph running throughout my being. Moving within an instant, cloaked in the speedy authority of Shunshin no Jutsu, my left hand would move away from Ren'ai and to the bottom of my right arm, where my hidden tag lay. Upon grasping it, the hand would dart forward, slapping it to his forehead with the addition of a small amount of chakra to keep it on the location.

Then, taking two steps back to Kouketsu-sama, I would end the technique by halting the playing of my flute. Instantly, I would move my hand to make the motion to blow the seal. It was then that I would feel a hand placed upon my shoulder, and I knew that Kouketsu-sama wanted me to stop. However, I would remain standing in this position, ready to detonate the tag at any sign that he might attempt to remove the tag from his head. If he tried, he'd be gone in the instant it took for the chakra within the tag to detonate.

If one were curious as to why my opponent's attack would fail, the answer would come two-fold. Firstly, the speed of sound is vastly superior to the ability of a ninja creating handseals, meaning my Genjutsu would take hold first. Secondly, Koi is significantly shorter than Kotaro, by eight inches, to be precise. Already so much shorter, her looking down to look at the opponent beginning to form handseals would make it improbable for him to look into my eyes and for me to make the contact necessary for the Genjutsu to take hold, especially at these close distances.

Description: In order to increase the effectiveness and range of their songs, some flutist have learned how to literally move about (walk, run, jump, etc.) while playing. This requires a great amount of concentration, thusly a user who is not proficient with this will not be able to play the more complicated, harder songs; even if a master of the mateki tries to play one of their powerful songs and does not properly know how to move, it will fail. Upon learning the c-rank version, the user is capable of move while playing c-rank songs; upon learning the b-rank version, the user is capable of moving while playing b-rank songs; upon learning the a-rank version, the user is capable of moving while playing a-rank songs; upon learning the s-rank version, the user can move while playing s-rank songs.

Mateki: Naimenteki Toge Shitsui (Demonic Flute: Inner Thorn of Despair).

Effect: A Genjutsu which makes the victim(s) believe spikes and needles are pushing from inside them.
Special: Flute melody.
Drawback: This technique can be canceled out by inflicting great pain upon the victim.
Description: When the flute is played, as the sounds push off against the opponents a grand technique of the Genjutsu variety occurs. As the opponent hears the very sound they feel that the ability of movement is unable to occur. This is when they are then transported within a world not familiar of their own. The harmony that plays creates the image within their head that is not so familiar. A numerous amount of wires shoot up from the ground as they wrap around the opponent creating a grand restriction of movement. Then within the skin spikes, needles begin to seep out of the skin of the opponent as if they were stabbing outwards from inside the body. The spikes seep out of the body, arms, as well as the very head and face of the opponent. The mind set of the opponent is that great fear comes forth that would try to create the sensation of pain and understanding within the mind set of the technique.
Limit: Phantasm Perception, Sound Release, Mateki, Kai, and Makyo no Ran (War of Evil Men).

Of course, Kouketsu had done well to eliminate any genjutsu that might've plagued him or his beloved Hinagiku. The chakra that surged through his hands and into her body would disrupt Koi's flow, initiated by her flute, and leave both parties unhindered. And while he could not reach out to Anotsu and ensure the same, he was well aware of the others Sharingan prowess; those eyes would protect him from the devilish illusions cast by the soft, touching melodies.

Thusly so, as the tag set in motion (likely as it was placed) Kouketsu would once more extend a single hand toward Koi.

That's enough. Release him.

Though Kotaro was no where near free, as the seal was prepped and ready to explode, Kouketsu would look casually upon him as he would more than likely just be 'coming to'; those crimson eyes were no longer present, opted for onyx. "Now," he said gently. "I believe an apology is in order, child-- unless your pride is so high you would rather lose your head to my dear Koi."

A mere reference to the tag plastered to his skull.

She was a powerful one, indeed.

Thrice did his tomoe resonate at the powerful melody that began to play, Anotsu's eyes delving into a realm unmatched where he could literally make out and discern the Genjutsu's prowess. Of sound did it filter out and into the immediate proximity, his invisibility allowing him to stand up in all his stature to endure its effects. This was the true extension of the Sharingan's scarlet gaze - I had realized all that lay before me, and already the chakra within me was reacting and counteracting this illusionary measure.

As for our "guest", perhaps he would learn a little humility once he was let loose from the power of her Genjutsu. I could see the effects quickly spreading over him, my invisibility kept in tact as the Genjutsu worked in unison one with the other. I would only release my Sharingan once her jutsu had been done.

Besides, it would be most amusing to see his reaction through indigo orbs.

Music still played from her flute as she lowered her eyes just using the height difference to thwart Kotaro's genjustu. The haunting tunes rung out. The world darkened as he was suddenly bound by something unnoticable in the dark.

The music stopped and the world returned to normal but something was on his face.

"Now, I believe an apology is in order, child-- unless your pride is so high you would rather lose your head to my dear Koi." After this comment he could but on deduce this was a explosive note on his face.

Kotaro had been trumped again by someone with those eyes again. Sweat ran down the side of his face. Kotaro had calmed down his face took a more neutral expression. "My actions were rash and disrespectful and for that I apologize..." His hands hung at his sides staying away from the tag on his face.

Maybe this situation was fated to happen that he run into another one with red eyes. "I wonder... what is your relationship to the one with red eyes like your and hair just as red?" The way this was said wwas as if he woere just talking to himself. Kotaro's calm was that of someone who had been through even worst than danger stuck to his forehead.

Finally, the poor child would realize his folly, my exploding tag remaining plastered to his head. He had been bested by the powers of the flute- not that I could blame him. Indeed, great was the strength of the Mateki, and there would be few outside of the fabled Clan of Genjutsu masters that was known as the Uchiha who would be able to fight effectively against such a strength. Once he had given his apology to Kouketsu-sama, the man moved his eyes to face me, and he would ask a question to which I would simply smile at.

"He is the man who makes my entire world revolve. I would do anything he asked of me." As simple as that, the phrase was made. He knew now what bound me to the side of Kouketsu-sama for eternity, for there was little in the universe that had the strength to conquer the bounds of love. However, I still hadn't received an order from Kouketsu-sama to lower my hand down. I knew to make a presumpteous move would earn me his contempt. As such, without taking my eyes off of the boy, in case he should attempt something, I would then ask a question to my true love.

"Kouketsu-sama, what are your orders now?" The vindictive nature that often warred within my soul was winning this battle. It was my deepest wish to end this man's life, but if Kouketsu-sama saw fit to spare him, then I would also obey his order and let him go. Amaterasu only knows the darkness that was manifesting here, and only the order from the mighty Susanoo or the restraining hand of Tsukiyomi would prevent this infant's death. It was my wish that neither two Gods chose to intervene, but rather allow him to perish.

Kouketsu's eyes had remained rather apathetic throughout the entire scenario, watching as it unfolded just as he expected it to. Many had underestimated Koi simply because she was a gorgeous, petite woman of a youthful existence; she was a murderous, cold and calculating individual beneath it all, though. Kouketsu was well aware of this - she was the perfect weapon.

Her voice rolled through his mind like a stream, yet there was no retort. No, instead he would act.

"He shall not perish," he cooed while passing his dearest Koi, his lover, and his sibling. "But he shall reap the rewards of his misdoings."

Branching forward from his torso, Kouketsu's hand extended out to Kotaro's face as if to remove the explosive tag from his skull. That's when those fingers would reach into the socket of his eye, pressing vigorously against the flesh until he literally plucked out the left orb. Blood would undoubtedly douse the fingers - index, middle and thumb - as they were the perpetrators in the situation, and stream down the curve of Kotaro's cheek until dripping from the chin. Yet the gruesome sight did little to waver Kouketsu's adamant resolve.

Once the eye had been forcefully removed, that same hand would disappear beneath the folds of his kimono. "Let this be a lesson to you, boy." Without further word he'd turn and make his way back to Hinagiku. Along with the unbearable pain, Kotaro would most likely notice the lacking of a tag upon his forehead (occurring just after he'd pulled the eye). He was free to tend to his wounds now.

Perhaps this wasn't the greatest idea he's ever had.

A fight seemed to have broken out, and from his position on the bench he could tell that it was going nowhere fast. This would also likely delay the events that were meant to fill the empty space burning a hole in his pocket. He smiled slightly to himself, here he was, witnessing a fight of epic proportions that could end up in many dead, and all he could think about is how much of an inconvenience to his wallet it was. Then again, it's not like he was too terribly worried about any of them, and if it got too bad then Mizukage-sama would do something about it.

Kazu voted amongst the many sides of his psyche that he had better places to be, and that he would return at a later date when things had calmed down. The decided course of action would take him just outside of the grounds where he could still hear any announcements, and it was there that he would train. Once something important came along he could easily just reenter and participate. So he put his plan into effect, walking along the fringes of the crowd to the main entrance, turned right, and disappeared into the surrounding forest.

"He shall not perish,"

Kotaro stood as he saw someone coming close out of the corner of the paper. Koutetsu was coming to remove the tag from his forehead after the apology.

"But he shall reap the rewards of his misdoings." A surprised look came across his face as his fingers pressed into his eye. Excruciating pain came from his eye surging through his body...After the dirty deed was done Kotaro fell to his hands an knees holding the left side of his face...The tag was removed nonetheless. The world was fuzzy as he looked up... at Koutetsu, Hina and Koi as she was called.

He fell to the ground fully as he fainted. Surely Kotaro would be helped by anyone who saw him fall to the ground and the substantial amount of blood on his and koutetsu's hands. ANBU medics would come and rescue Kotaro's collasped body from the injuries inflicted by Koutetsu.

To mask the event occurring, Anotsu would release himself from invisibilty in favor of performing a few handseals. The effective Invisibility would render the sight unknown to those that surrounded them, unnerving the will to watch the gruesome scene as Kouketsu plucked his eye directly from his socket. The Uchiha had seen such carnage before, and thus the feeling of indifference continued its etch upon his facade. He could not help but wonder if more like the shinobi existed, and in that he released the Genjutsu after the area had been cleared of the foolish ninja's actions. A soft chuckle escaped Anotsu's lips as his occuli fell upon Koi. "I'm beginning to like you more and more." he noted.

Once more did handseals take up their quick motion, plumes of smoke birthing themselves out and unto the ground near him. At least five clones stood to full height, all of them watching Atsuhiro for directions. Tsukuyomi merely waved a hand, and without a second thought they would vanish from whence they stood.
