Lmao Silly Himiko
(btw mods, you might wanna take her advice about the tp XDDD)
After several hours of practice, Yori finally managed getting Sora to speak out loud by sending mind waves through the chakra strings. Yori thought of mental sentences to transfer to her puppet’s voice box, and Sora successfully repeated them. Yori decided to move on into something else: having her puppet speak in different tones to mimic different voices. “Let’s start off with Shegito’s voice…” Yori thought of something Shegito always says. “Hm…ah!” Yori quickly attatched her chakra strings to Sora’s mouth. She then said out loud something Shegito would say.
“Being a puppeteer is very satisfying!” Yori had Sora’s mouth move along. “Being a puppeteer is very satisfying!” said her puppet back…but not in Shegito’s voice. Upset at the results, Yori chose to try again. “Being….a…puppeteer…is….very…satisfying!” This time, Yori tried her best to imitate Shegito’s voice herself, to assist Sora. Again, her puppet replied, but only in Yori’s bad imitation of Shegito’s voice. Yori came to a conclusion. “Hmm…maybe you can’t produce male voices?”
She tried again, this time wanting Sora to imitate a female’s voice...Fumi’s voice. Yori thought of a statement that Fumi would normally say. “Dinner’s ready!” She chuckled at herself for only coming up with that sentence. Sora quickly followed. “Dinner’s ready!” Still, her voice sounded just like Yori’s. Frustrated, Yori began walking back and forth, thinking of what might be causing the problem. Suddenly, Fumi came from out of house to check up on Yori. “Hello, hun. What are you up to today? More training?” For some odd reason, Yori didn’t want to admit she was learning puppet ventriloquism. She felt slightly embarrassed at the lack of offense the move had. “Oh! No…no training! (^-^’)”
Fumi tilted her head slightly to the side as she heard sounds coming from Sora’s mouth. Yori had forgotten to remove her chakra strings from her puppet. The puppet spoke on it’s own, in Fumi’s voice. “Oh! No…no training!” Fumi’s eyes became wide, surprised at how well the puppet was able to mimic Fumi’s voice. Yori blushed bright red. “Oh my! What was that!?” asked Fumi, delightfully. She was a master puppeteer after all and well aware that Yori was learning puppet ventriloquism. “Huh?! What…what was what!? I didn’t hear anything….” Due to Yori’s nervousness, she had still forgotten to remove her chakra strings from her puppet. Sora spoke in Fumi’s soft voice.
“Huh?! What…what was what!? I didn’t mmmhmmmm…” Before Sora could finish mimicking Yori’s sentence, she was stopped by the disconnection of Yori’s chakra strings. She held her hands behind her back and slightly knocked Sora on her side. Fumi grinned at Yori’s horrible capabilities of keeping something from her. “Your training for puppet ventriloquism aren’t you?” Said Fumi, staring Yori down. She nodded. “I’m sorry…I’m having such a hard time learning such a simple technique and…it’s not even very useful….” She held her head down, kicking a small pile of dirt slightly with her feet. Fumi asserted her. “What? Are you out of your mind? Puppet ventriloquism is a very useful for tricking your opponents in battle! And it’s rather fun to use too.” She said ending her explanation with a smile. Yori was aware it was for tricking opponents, but when Fumi had said it, she felt more at ease about learning it.
Fumi was willing to give Yori a helping hand on her jutsu. “Ok, hun. The reason why Sora suddenly learned to speak in my voice was because her voice box recorded it. Meaning, every person who you want to mimic, you have to al least have Sora become familiar with their voice, understood?” Yori nodded cutely at Fumi’s advice. She then decided to go to the Cloud market and try out mimicking different voices from different people. Fumi bared her good luck and watched Yori walk off in the direction of the market.
When Yori had finally arrived, she listened carefully to what voice she wanted Sora to mimic. She over heard this little boy speaking to his mother about candy. “Mommy, I want bubble gum, can I have, pweassse?” He tugged on his mother’s skirt. She was ignoring him due to the simple fact that she was reading a book. Yori had Sora become familiar with his voice. She then hid behind a bench only a few feet from the boy. She had Sora walk up to him and speak…in his same voice….
“I want candy too!” said her puppet. The boy stared at the puppet in shock. Frankly, he was terrified. “Mommy!!!! The doll! IT TALKS!!!” he began sobbing and pulling more and more at his mother’s skirt. “What did I tell you about disturbing your mother while she’s reading!?” The woman removed her head from her book and glared at her son. The boy pointed at the puppet, but once the mother took a glimpse of Sora, she was laying lifelessly on the ground. “Kuro! It’s just a doll! Toy’s don’t talk!” The mother then continued her reading, leaving the child traumatized.
Yori had somewhat felt sorry for the child. He reminded him of herself when no one believed her. Also, she was quite offended at how the woman had called her puppet a “toy”. Yori wanted to prove her wrong…
