Just as the man began to answer, a near loss of consciousness swept through Fina’s body, resulting in temporary loss of balance, as well as a being at a loss of what was currently going on. Feeling like he’d fall any second, one of Fina’s gloved hands would rush to his head and clutch in some futile attempt to relieve pain, while the other grabbed a hold of the nearest tree trunk next to him, holding himself enough to slowly crumble in place.
When a few of the genin noticed this, they quick rushed to his side and asked what happened. Fina’s hand quickly shot up in response, not quite offering a verbal response, but telling them through body language and his waving hand that he was fine and simply wished to be left alone. After the initial feelings of lost balance were gone, he began to spoke, still enduring a headache.
“Chakra exhaustion…I’ve been training a rather difficult jutsu.”
A pause was taken before going onto his next point. He felt slightly better, but his body had just warned him that he seriously needed rest or else. Fina decided to listen.
“I’m willing to give…you my full power…but please, give me…a few soldier pills.”
”Food too!?”
Despite the concerned reaction of one of the genin, Fina’s hand waved his worries away and simply grabbed at the pills they produced. One was chewed while the other was tucked away in his side pack, ready for use whenever he’d be weakened once more.
”Feel better?”
Just as he began to offer a response, his periphery caught sight of danger, and triggered his battle mode.
“Everybody down, NOW!”
Fina’s voice at max volume ripped through the tense silence and ambiance the comrades held. The problem lied in that their rest area had been crawling with several of the opponents, and the ones which possessed the ability to fire projectiles such as kunai and senbon began to shoot at them. The attackers, all from the robot-like realm of puppets, were volleying their location with many secondary shots, as well as a few blasts of elemental power. The first wave didn’t have any real accuracy, but the second one stood opposite from the first. One shot in particular had its path straight at the head of one of his comrades, but his anticipation skills- lucky for both of them that he hadn’t gotten rusty- kicked in, grabbing him out of harms way.
Time slowed, kunai paths were visually represented by numerous ripples trailing behind a blurry, fiery red, object. The mouths of his comrades crying desperate pleas, echoed by their almost frozen expression- the fear in the eyes, the tenseness of the face- metal flying back from their own vast assortment of weapons, a desperate genin trying his best to stay in control of the situation…all this flashed through Fina’s mind. Many variables presented itself, but after doing the math, it was evident survival would not be ensured if they merely ran away now.
This time, we fight! Time to apply the Ikuzachi for real!
