Demiri looked up at the snowy scenery around her. It was sheer beauty, and she sighed happily breathing in the cold. “Hey, Kibo,” she looked over her shoulder at the bookbag that nearly blended in with the snow. If it weren’t for the random nonsense written all over the bag, it would probably be very hard to find. Lying next to her bag was the holder for her three-sectioned staff, along with her belt. Demiri headed over to the white bookbag and picked it up, pulling out her sweatpants and stuffing in her jacket. Kibo, annoyed with the rustling of items, poked his head out as she dropped the bag back onto the icy ground.
She pulled the gray pants up to her hips and looked back to the bag. “Wanna watch me fall on my ass?” she smiled to the rodent.

Kibo lay in the bag with his head poked out as Demiri tried to remember what the Ram’s handseal was… After a few tries, she figured she had it correctly and headed out onto the icy lake before her. It was common sense for the girl to check the thickness of the ice, of course, so she could only think of one thing to do…
In her bag she pulled out the collapsed windmill shuriken, and unfolded it. Tossing it out hard onto the frozen lake, the blade stuck itself into the ice, but it did not crack other wise. Demiri looked excitedly to Kibo as she ran across the ice and fell in an instant. She laughed at this, she knew it was to be expected, and she crawled across the ice on her knees to retrieve her shuriken. She steadied herself onto her feet and held her hands together, creating the Ram handseal. As she held it for a few moments, chakra ran down her body to her feet, and she carefully walked over to the Windmill shuriken. “Haha, it’s working,” she said as she reached for the large four bladed weapon.
It must have dug a hole an inch or two deep in the ice. Indeed, was the lake frozen over in a thick layer, which made her feel quite safe. She pulled the blade from the ice and carefully walked back to the surface of the lake, stepping back into the snow. The weapon was collapsed before she stuffed it back into the second largest compartment of her bookbag.
“Wanna try? It’s fun,” she giggled as Kibo watched her head back to the lake. Slowly, he inched out of the bag and ran across the snow behind her. The handseal was done again and the chakra surged to her feet. The feeling was great as now she could finally travel across the ice without the worry of looking stupid.
Her small feet carried her across the ice, and her only protection was the insulated sandals, which left her toes exposed. With her concentrating on the chakra flow to her feet it was easy for her to walk across the frost. In near jealousy, Kibo took a step onto the ice and carefully walked across it. However, the armadillo, having no means of learning handseals or even having chakra, maneuvered slowly on the ice. She watched him and smiled, knowing he could only stay balanced on his toes.
“I’ll race you to the other side,” she giggled as she walked over to the armadillo, which already was having a hard time staying steady on the ice. She leaned down, preparing to take off running, as the chakra was still at her feet. Kibo prepared himself, as he listened for Demiri’s word. However, he took off before she even got to one, and lost balance quickly, flipping onto the armor of his back and sliding across the ice.
“Cheater!” she said as she took off from her spot. Before she knew it, she was half way across the lake, until she lost balance and the chakra flow gypped her.
She slipped backwards, onto her butt, sliding a bit over. She giggled a bit as she looked over to where Kibo was, witnessing him slide into a pile of snow on the lake’s surface. “You win I guess,” she laughed as she struggled to her feet and carefully walked over to him.
