III. Mental Diagnostic
- Expressively Haughty (e.g., acts in an arrogant, supercilious, pompous, and disdainful manner, flouting conventional rules of shared social living, viewing them as naive or inapplicable to self; reveals a careless disregard for personal integrity and a self-important indifference to the rights of others).
- Admirable Self-Image (e.g., believes self to be meritorious, special, if not unique, deserving of great admiration, and acting in a grandiose or self-assured manner, often without commensurate achievements; has a sense of high self-worth, despite being seen by others as egotistic, inconsiderate, and arrogant).
- Contrived Object-Relations (e.g., internalized representations are composed far more than usual of illusory and changing memories of past relationships; unacceptable drives and conflicts are readily refashioned as the need arises, as are others often simulated and pretentious).
- Insouciant Mood-Temperament (e.g., manifests a general air of nonchalance, imperturbability, and feigned tranquility; appears coolly unimpressionable or buoyantly optimistic, except when narcissistic confidence is shaken, at which time either rage, shame, or emptiness is briefly displayed).
- Expressively Disciplined (e.g., maintains a regulated, highly structured and strictly-organized life; perfectionism interferes with decision-making and task completion).
- Interpersonally Respectful (e.g., exhibits unusual adherence to social conventions and proprieties, as well as being scrupulous and overconscientious about matters of morality and ethics; prefers polite, formal and correct personal relationships, usually insisting that subordinates adhere to personally established rules and methods).
- Constricted Cognitive Style (e.g., constructs world in terms of rules, regulations, schedules and hierarchies; is rigid, stubborn, and indecisive and notably upset by unfamiliar or novel ideas and customs).
- Concealed Object-Relations (e.g., only those internalized representations, with their associated inner affects and attitudes that can be socially approved, are allowed conscious awareness or behavioral expression; as a result, actions and memories are highly regulated, forbidden impulses sequestered and tightly bound, personal and social conflicts defensively denied, kept from awareness, maintained under stringent control).
- Reaction Formation Regulatory Mechanism (e.g., repeatedly presents positive thoughts and socially commendable behaviors that are diametrically opposite one's deeper contrary and forbidden feelings; displays reasonableness and maturity when faced with circumstances that evoke anger or dismay in others).
- Compartmentalized Morphologic Organization (e.g., morphologic structures are rigidly organized in a tightly consolidated system that is clearly partitioned into numerous, distinct and segregated constellations of drive, memory, and cognition, with few open channels to permit interplay among these components).
- Solemn Mood-Temperament (e.g., is unrelaxed, tense, joyless and grim; restrains warm feelings and keeps most emotions under tight control).
- Interpersonally Abrasive (e.g., reveals satisfaction in intimidating, coercing and humiliating others; regularly expresses verbally abusive and derisive social commentary, as well as exhibiting vicious, if not physically brutal behavior).
- Combative Self-Image (e.g., is proud to characterize self as assertively competitive, as well as vigorously energetic and militantly hardheaded; values aspects of self that present pugnacious, domineering and power-oriented image).
- Pernicious Object-Relations (e.g., internalized representations of the past are distinguished by early relationships that have generated strongly driven aggressive energies and malicious attitudes, as well as by a contrasting paucity of sentimental memories, tender affects, internal conflicts, shame or guilt feelings).
- Isolation Regulatory Mechanism (e.g., can be cold-blooded and remarkably detached from an awareness of the impact of own destructive acts; views objects of violation impersonally, as symbols of devalued groups devoid of human sensibilities).
History:
My birth. It was mediocre at best, although it was a poor birth in a shack, next to the home of the Village Leader. My mother was an indebted servant for life, until she could save the life of the Leader himself, but she never got the chance; he died. Thus, she was stuck being the servant in the Kageji Village, and Sekitan? Well, he ended up being the friend of one Saiden Coal. They did nearly everything together; swimming from their little island village to the main land of Nagi Island, visiting the temple, finding all kinds of things and getting into trouble. Their favorite thing to collect was the Desert Roses that grew on Nagi Island, even though it was not their habitat, but Sekitan liked to collect plants especially.
As they grew together, Sekitan never lost his skill or flare with plants, and soon he began to practice making them grow with his own chakra. Growing more skilled as he aged, until one day during his maturing process he found a bone protruding from his wrist, which soon retracted back into his body. Of course, he spoke of it to his mother, who could only look away from him; her silver hair shimmering in the sunlight of the Saiden’s backyard. She never said a word to him, but instead caused a bone to protrude from her back, and after that she told him of her lineage. Who would have ever guessed that she was a Kaguya royal, forced to be a housemaid for those who controlled the shadows, as if they were one with them? He and Coal left that day across the water to Nagi Island, once more to gather the Desert Rose, and on that fateful day the Kageji Village was laid to ruin.
Sekitan had taken a different path than Coal, having gone to find his mother, cutting down foe after foe with a blade he had pulled from his shoulder on instinct. Finally he found his mother, bleeding upon the floor, dead all around her as well. She gripped his collar, pulled him close, and told him a secret that he could never tell another; his father had also been the Village Leader that had been the father of Coal. Before he could comment, he was swept away on horseback by a man who resembled him very much, and his eyes beheld Saiden Haiiro. Coal’s brother Haiiro had rescued him from the destruction it seemed, taking him to a boat where a few others waited, and it was from there that they sailed off toward Yuki no Kuni. He had tried to ask what had happened to Coal, but he was waved off quite abruptly, and was then floating away from the island he had called home.
A Shinobi. Yukigakure no Sato was the frozen gem of Yuki no Kuni, it was to be the home of An’ei Sekitan as well, where he would receive formal training as arranged by Saiden Haiiro; a respected Jounin. His skills were far more advanced than those of the academy students that he was forced to learn with, easily picked out of the crowd, and he was instead bumped to Genin in a matter of a week. Nothing changed for him there either, much more powerful than the other Genin, almost too much for their Jounin leader to handle. He suspected that this is just what Haiiro wanted, because now only he could be the teacher of Sekitan, and it was many things that he was taught. It was said around the village that to be trained by Haiiro was akin to being trained by a Sannin, as well as the equivalent of being trained by a demon, for which both were very true.
However, Haiiro said something that Sekitan had never expected, which caused him to wonder, breaking his normal steely visage. Now only sixteen years of age, he was told to flee from Yukigakure no Sato, to head for Cha no Kuni where Haiiro would find him again. Well, the AnBu were not too pleased at this, trying to hunt him down frivolously, but he managed to escape none-the-less; as none could compete with him. To the docks he fled, taking a vessel that seemed convenient to him, and pushing off to sea. They had taught him all he needed to know, all that they could, from controlling the wind to forming the ice; even to moving the earth and sea. Now he made his way to Cha no Kuni, where Haiiro was waiting, to be taught whatever it was that Haiiro had to teach.
A NukeNin. Nothing is known of this time, only that five years after his disappearance, he returned to Yukigakure no Sato and became the Third YukiKage; although all refer to him as the First True YukiKage.
A YukiKage. His time as YukiKage lasted for nearly a year, although in that year he accomplished more than any other YukiKage had, even ending their war with Kumogakure no Sato single-handedly. Many things were changed in the village under his rule, a training program instated to make sure that all shinobi were combat ready, to his standards no less; he being a veteran of combat and having killed many. He had also received gifts from his cousin Shaolin, the techniques she had created, as well as those created by her husband Corrin; with his permission of course. Sickness was taking him in those days however, and at the age of twenty-four he could feel it most definitely, during a diplomatic mission to Kumogakure no Sato. On his return trip to his home, he fell ill and was taken completely by the sickness; however his daughter was a quick thinker and dragged him home; after extracting what little of the poison she could from him. Placed inside one of the Kaguya Bone Healing Tanks, she began to monitor him, keeping watch over him in their castle hidden in the mountains.
A Return. Three years have passed since then, but something from the top of the Kage’s tower could be heard, the opening of a tank long since closed. It was he, the Legend of Yukigakure no Sato himself, the First True YukiKage. What would his return bring? Only time could tell now…
