Rules and Regulations

These rules have been created for all of those seeking interactions with the NPCs (Non-playable characters) of the temple, the PCs (Playable-characters), and the temple itself. Please, we ask that you read these rules both carefully and thoroughly; they're not here to badger you or bog down your fun; however, they are here to insure that your "fun" does not infringe on the rights of others to have fun.

Failure to comply with these rules will result in your posts being ignored and or deleted. There will be no exceptions - period, end of story.

The rules are as followed:

• This thread is death-enabled. No matter your status as a ninja or if you're a ninja at all, you will always be under the death-enabled rule while within this thread.
  
• Do not NPC any of the temple occupants. Unless given explicit permission from either myself or Bryan (Atsuhiro), this rule is always in effect.
  
• Do not use this facility to train unless given explicit permission from a Monk (whom will be NPCed by either Bryan or myself). This is a place of worship, people.
  
• Monks are to be trifled with. In terms of strength they can be very well put on par with Kirigakure's finest of ANBU, with our without their Sharingan eye.
  
• This thread is not limited to those of the Uchiha blood only. The "Grand Library," containing literature and history of the Uchiha bloodline (dating back as far as it's been recorded, and most recent events) are open to all that dwell within Mizu no Kuni. Those seeking further secrets of the bloodline, however, will need to be of Uchiha.

Description and Synopsis

Large columns of rock, some more than one hundred feet tall, are situated near the outskirts of the temple; covered with various forms of vegetation, the "base" of the temple looks like nothing more than a large (though very leveled) mountain when scaled to a man. Husks of shrubs, moss, and vines veil over the relief sculptures, coiling and spiraling up the enormous lengths until ending near their crowns and the base of the next "level". Near the center of the founding layer, countless species of exotic flowers bloom, giving a touch of white, pink, yellow and cherry-red to the profound scenery of jade and mahogany. Roots course over and under protruding sections of the monoliths, while trunks and branches swirl around them, bending inward to its rough and callous embrace.

This, at the epicenter of the base's face, is where the doors are found. Standing nearly thirty feet tall, these doors are overseen by two monks whom stand silently; cloaked and hooded, they kindly greet all who enter the temple with humble, legitimate smiles.

Level 1

The first of the seven temple levels consists of the worhshipping grounds for the many monks that dwell within the temple at all times. Children run and play throughout the many corridors and hallways, all training to become monks and priestesses of the Uchiha bloodline. This is where the most profound in knowledge of their kin live, oft' found praising one of the three Gods in their spare time.

There are also several large sitting areas for those to converse and enjoy the company of outsiders, though these are rarely ever filled. Even when they are, a calm sense of serenity keeps all in check.

Level 2

Though majorly considered a place of worship, the second level of the temple is used to train and condition both the monks and those simply seeking a place of sanctuary in which to hone their skills. Of course, permission is needed to enter these regions of the temple as they can be very dangerous a times.

The second level has been broken into three pieces: one for Ninjutsu, one for Genjutsu, and the other for Taijutsu. Training in either of these three arts are to be done so in the proper local, otherwise you will be removed from the facility and banned.

Level 3

Just above the training level is the "Grand Library", a house for litrature. There are a very scarce few pieces of literature that do not already belong to the library's massive plethora, ranging all the way from graphic novels to small children's books. There are many, many chairs here so that one can pick up a novel and not set it down until they've had their fill. This facility is open twenty-four hours a day.

Level 4

This serves as the living quarters for the monks and priestesses that live within the temple. There are many doors that lead to many comfortable sized rooms, and there are even extras for those seeking refuge for any reason.

Level 5

This level of the temple holds of the Uchiha's deepest secrets and techniques. Information on this section are kept secret from all unless bearing proof of the Sharingan Eye (third stage only) or are well known priestesses or monks. Even still, several tests will be taken to insure there is no impostor trying to fake their way in by methods such as the Henge no Jutsu.

Attempting to enter the fifth level is strictly forbidden and considered a great crime, punishable by death should one of the two lords see it fit.

Level 6 & 7

One of the most massive chambers in the temple, level six and seven have been combined into a single, gargantuan level. Here are where the King Brothers' personal quarters are, including their bedrooms, training room, bathrooms, personal study halls, including a impressive sized house sitting aloft the crown of the entire temple so that they can peer upon any and every inch of Mizu no Kuni whenever they wish.

Access to this level has been given to only a select few monks and priestesses and is strictly forbidden to anyone unless explicit permission has been given. Failure to comply is punishable by death, and death only.

Cost and Fees for using the Temple

• The cost to use the library is fifty Ryo for unlimited time per day.
  
  
• The cost to use the training facility is one hundred Ryo per section (this means 100 for Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, or Genjutsu; using all three will make a grand total of 300 Ryo).

The Ten Commandments of the Creed

The Ten Commandments of the Creed were originally written within a much stricter, harsher and more defined state of mind. However, after some reviewing they were seen moreso as a tyrant's wishes than moral codes for one to spiritually follow after. Both Kouketsu and Atsuhiro are considered the founding fathers, having spent many days and moons writing the Uchiha monks and priestesses' ten commandments of which to live their daily lives.

As a monk or priestess, one is expected to live strictly by the ten commandments set in stone by their benevolent leaders. Of course, these are not forced upon any soul - Uchiha or not - but are there to serve those who wish to follow their religion, and or serve as guidelines to those wishing to become apart of the Creed. The Ten Commandments are as followed:

• You have but three Gods: Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and Susanoo.
  
• You shall have no other Gods before them,
  You shall not make for yourself an idol.
  
• You shall not make wrongful use of the name of your Gods.
  
• Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy.
  
• Honor your father and mother.
  
• You shall show no mercy to those that foresake your Gods.
  
• You shall show no mercy to those that foresake your home.
  
• You shall show no mercy to those that foresake your kin.
  
• You shall show no mercy to those that foresake your Prince, Princess, King or Queen.
  
• Honor your family, your spouse, your home, and thyself.

Joining the Creed

In the event that one wishes to become a noble monk or priest, they must first approach the High-monk or High-Priestess and make their request known. Upon speculation, they will either be declined or accepted - there is no questioning this judgment. If once is negelected, for whatever reason, there are unable to request integration for one entire year. It is believed this is the amount of time required for one to change their ways.

Once and if accepted into the ways of the Creed you will be expected to follow their rules without question. The rules of the Creed are as followed:

• Four hours of your day are to be spent within the main chambers of worship.

• Dinner is to be eaten in the main chamber of worship, together.
  
• You may not leave the temple grounds.
  
• You may not leave your chambers after hours.
  
• You are to recite the Ten Commandments before sleeping.

The Outer Gate[/u]

This is the first defense of the Scarlet Fortress. Voluminous rocks and adamant mortar are plastered to create a large ring of defense along the outer perimeter of the fortress, rising twelve meters into the sky with smoothed edifice awaiting those who would attempt to traverse it and find footing inside the barrier.

Gears of various size are found hidden within the nooks and crannies of these slabs of stone, wrapped around sound-proof padding that hinders the amount of noise created to alert one to the more sensitive parts of the defense system. These machinations serve to allow five by five meter openings to slide away when activated, allowing quick access and exit for those who seek retreat or advance against a foreign enemy. And yet, this is only one part of the structured perimeter.

The Demon's Maw

The Demon's Maw is an appropriate title given to the two adamantine doors that rest at the center of the Outer Gate. Gargantuan monuments in their own right, these thick barriers serve to resist blunt trauma of varying severity. The Uchiha paper fan is carved into the center of these behemoths, claws extending forth from either side where recesses are located to enable one to peer through the doors at visitors or guests. With tedious laboring, the inner workings of the door have been crafted to carry audible noise to either ANBU command post flanking its east and west; if one slips by in an attempt at invisibility, then the sound will surely give them away.

It is also reinforced at hinges located slightly burrowed within the wall itself, the likes of iron sand or water impermeable to their structure. On a regular basis are they oiled and well-kept, ensuring that (Although large and heavy) these doors will open and close in a timely manner. Such swift reaction to command is accentuated by the gears located within the fortress walls, pushed and pulled to relinquish a most difficult task for the monks and priestesses to open it by manual labor.

The Eyes of God

Simply put, these are the ANBU Command Posts located ten meters one alongside the other. Such a distance is to guarantee that ANBU may shunshin as needed from one spot to the next, effectively combating a threat should a post fall. Under the redwood flooring of these posts are three search lights that may rotate in multiple directions at once, light shooting forth and into the distance to quickly and accurately assess the inhabitants a maximum of twenty meters from the fortress.

The glass affront the lights are reinforced, keeping at bay the wiles of secondary weapons that may attempt to diffuse their operation. The same is done for the center opening to each ANBU post, allowing no weapons to pierce the spaces where the ANBU will reside. Every other recess is kept open, however, to allow room for the squad members to attack with what weapons they see fit to properly detain and defeat the opposition.[/right]

Upon climbing into the post, one will find an assortment of items that will help in surveillance and awareness. These include, but are not limited to:

• Communications Devices
  
• Binoculars

The ANBU Post is to be held by two ANBU at any given time: One Neko, and One Falcon. The responsibility of the Neko is to hunt down and eliminate threats that would attempt to compromise the Temple's structure. The Falcon, in their expertise, are responsible for locating and assessing quantity and location of those attempting to cover their tracks. In sync do they operate, rotating standing positions at random intervals so as to gauge the entirety of all that surrounds the temples.

Certain procedures must be taken before this may happen:

• All ANBU are to serve an Eight Hour Shift. No more, no less unless otherwise granted by Anotsu or Kouketsu.
  
• All ANBU masks are to be painted with the Uchiha Paper Fan Insignia before reporting to post. No exceptions. (Paint is Water/Wear Proof.)
  
• A black light overhead will show every ANBU's marking, as it should be present at all times. Resonating with the shinobi's chakra signature, every post is lined with a sensor that will provide quick analysis of proper procedure to every systematic monitor within the temple dwelling area.
  
• All markings will wear off in a Nine Hour Time Limit. As such, before a post begins one must report to have it restored.
  
• If any ANBU are found to be without this mark and not within the respective positions assigned randomly upon each day, incarceration will take place without question and until further investigation is completed.

The Inner Temple[/u]

The inner dwelling is arguably as fortified as the outside world. Within these walls rest stone hollowed out and plated with adamantine, the material allowing the resistance of offensive and natural alteration in weather and/or forces. It is spread out so as to allow endurance of the temple, also giving it a more natural feel without the modernized machinations ruining its homage to the Three Gods. The floor itself is of a bluish marble color, a constant heat-sensitive sensor spiraling from beneath the edifice to mark the footsteps of any and all who traverse the multiple rooms.

In conjunction with a person's chakra signatures (Much like an exploding tag), one is able to hold the Tiger Hand seal to have their pattern of footsteps retraced for a maximum distance of up to fifty meters. However, this is only to be done on command. Any caught doing this without proper permission will be detained and questioned. No exceptions.

Seiryuu

This name is given to the tiles that line the floor, placed randomly along the edifice with a carving of the great saint beast within their recesses. Should a heightened sense of security be engaged, any and all direct subordinates of Kouketsu and Anotsu are able to engage these systems. The tiles will remove themselves from the floor and turn upside down, once again placing themselves within the appropriate spaces. Small spheres of obsidian will launch from the adjacent tiles thereafter, homing in on foreign chakra signatures and exploding upon impact. A moderate amount of sleeping gas will near instantly seduce one into a deep slumber.

All inhabitants of the temple on the regular basis should not be wary of this; every member is kept within the system's records. A simple hold of the "Dragon" symbol will enable this, chakra poured into the floor and seeping along tubular networking until activating the effect in a timely manner.

Fenrir

This alias is given to the tubular networking that reside within the floors in conjunction with the Seiryuu tiles. Upon activation with the "Ram" symbol, small incisions within the tiled flooring will open and allow wires of thick fiber to spring forth from the edifice. They are used in conjunction with slashing and binding effects, though heavy chakra usage will occur should one find themselves taking control of more than two mechanisms at once.

In total, there are ten that are lined within the four corners of the floor, the center, either flank of the entrance into the temple, and three from above the threshold of the temple's doors. The wires are lethal, thus one must be cautious; if handled carelessly, none are responsible for the dismemberment of one's foolishness.

Phoenix

As appropriate as a title would be for this working of the temple, Hades consists of an assortment of compartments lining the walls just outside the doors leading further into the establishment. These compartments house two Hikari Light Bombs, and two smoke grenades. More a defensive maneuver than anything, these are to aid one in escaping the clutches of pursuers in effective manners. A constant inventory is done to provide these safety measures. This may be activated by holding the "Ox" Symbol.

After another break from his vigorous training with the Monk known as Kaneda. He'd begin to make his way down from the third level towards the first. There was some things that needed to be addressed within the village. Coming around the corner, making that bend amongst that pillar. A strange foreigner was now present amongst the Uchiha Temple. Wondering what was the reasons behind such a intrusion, the Juuichidaime would rather gather intel than strike out against anyone else. After all, he had stained his hands once this day of his own kin's flesh.

--Perhaps, this would be a different story.

Shin's eyes had began to take in all that was around observing it all, but this foreign figure that was standing amongst the Uchiha grounds had peaked his interest indeed. Making his way over towards the unknown figure. The Ravenous tresses fluttering behind him, performing a dance of themselves as the onyx occuli's peered forth towards their destination. The Uchiha would then come to a halt as he began to think on his next few movements and what would need to be said. Though it all was really amongst how well both held their tongue's towards one another.

"I see...that you are not from this land? Am I correct?...If so I would like to welcome you to the Uchiha Temple. So what brings you here?"

Mused the Chosen one as he began to look over the figure that stood before him. Perhaps, this one was well versed in his knowledge and merely came to seek out this place. The demeanor of the these two were seemingly the same in a way as Shin came in search of power. Still his search was far from done, but it would only take some time to gather what was left on his journey.[/font][/blockquote]

These words came from this man's mouth telling his reasons for his appearance in such a place. Though the onyx hues that peered forth towards the one known as Genkaku were steadily eying this figure. Moving forth towards the man, he'd pay attention closely to the body language and words of this man. He sought something that Shin had been looking for...well correction what he was still seeking. That being something that could bring both figures down in the end, but it was nothing other than Power.[/i][/u]

"You're here because your eyes seek life. Hmm...It seems a sudden uproar of our Kin have been on this quest. You seek power....something that will push you over the edge to grasp that edge."

Stopping amongst his words and beginning to rub his hand along his chin. The Uchiha's thoughts began to rang with excitement. Perhaps, this one could be his apprentice and be taught the ropes of becoming one of the most deadliest Uchiha's to ever grace the planet. This was the beginning of it all and now Shin had finally found the added edge. His next few questions would run stray to him...

"How about this...I'll help you gain that life your eye seeks. So you to can install fear into your enemies and those that even glare at you as I can."

Within mere moments there it was the very thing that was known by those that knew Shin. The Sharingan and it's three tomoe's glory glaring forth at the very being. The onyx hues he once gazed into was no more as crimson beauty taken over showing the Uchiha's prized possession. How matured it had gotten since awakening the Clan's Kekkei Genkai, but whta was Genkaku's decision...[/font][/blockquote]

There the Uchiha would await the arrival of the young Uchiha's decision. His journey had brought him here of all places to the gloriest Uchiha Temple. A place where legends were born and with all intel about the clan and it's originations. Some myths and others true stories, but he came all because of the "itch" behind his eye. Those already scarlet hues sought out the power they were gazing into. That power was the Sharingan...a power unlike no other and a well known Doujutsu across the Great Shinobi Nations.

"Where do you go from here, you ask? It's simple...how about joining these very ranks as a Kirigakure Shinobi, as I help you obtain that very goal you seek. You shall become one of the few to gain that power known as Sharingan and you too; will be able to glare at the world through the same eyes as I, someday."

Those words were strong and to the point. There was no need to beat around the edges as it spoke truth. His words would somehow linger within the young man's mind. Those same words that grasped Shin when he too was drawn to this place as a moth to a flame. Ripe for the power and ready to accept the responsibility that came with gaining such a level of strength. It was only right for him to obtain it and ready himself as well. Shin's own quest for power wasn't quite complete either. There was more knowledge he sought and in due time would somehow come by it.

"So Genkaku...what is your decision?"

There the Uchiha notice that the Genkaku was about to leave, but Shin had one more thing he wanted to grant this shinobi. Walking over towards him, he'd grasp his hand firmly around the very headband that was a sign of being a Kirigakure Shinobi. Tossing the insigna towards the former Kusagakure shinobi. Shin lips would depart to give him his first task. Those red orbs peering into the newly acquainted eyes that seemingly had the color, but not the unlocked potential of the Sharingan that was staring him in the face.

"Welcome to Kirigakure, Genkaku. I have a world map with our village wrapped within that head band. It's marked with our village location and also I would like for you to give me any locations that you may have as well. Now there is some business I must attend to. Feel free to use the Uchiha Temple as you please."

The Uchiha's beginnings of leaving was seen as he'd merely disappear with out a trace. Appearing behind Genkaku...the Uchiha smiled a bit as he'd continue to head towards the the countryside. There was a lot of work to complete as well. Now the true story of Mist's rebirth was underway.[/font][/blockquote]

Entering within the temple with the monk's optics falling upon his position. The Mizukage's pace was swift as he sought out a peaceful place to put the two to rest. Knowing truly that in fact they had the potential to surpass him someday. It was wise to make these two shinobi of the village, though one would indeed need a bit of help working on his skills. Looking over his shoulders, he had noted that Seppuku indeed was still behind him. In the moments of the Uchiha's head turning back around as they were laid down amongst the floor beds. The Mizukage's trek within his quarters and back produced two head bands with the Mist Insignia upon the center of it. Placing it besides the two's bedrolls as they would be placed at. His words seeping out would travel towards the Hyuuga behind him.

"You know...I actually did enjoy that. Yet, these two have potential and could provide for some great shinobi of our village. I have this innate feeling that these two are going to prosper."

It wouldn't take long for Seppuku to catch up, laying the Uchiha across the bed that stood in front of him. All around the monks observing him, quickly taking note of his non-Uchiha nature, but if memory served right his eyes were much better, so they could all take those dots and shove em up their asses. His attention returning to Shin as a statement to his jest earlier would be given.

"Well just remember that there are others of us who wish to prosper as well.

After a good minute--I got up from my slumber. My head was killing me from that previous battle with that Shin guy; he was truly strong. That was someone I can see myself looking up too in the future, but maybe that was never going to happen. I began to roll off the bed, but felt a cold metal like object on my side, while I was rolling off. And when my eyes detected the object; a smirk came across my face in an instant. The object was the headband of the Mist, and I quickly untied my previous headband; quickly placing the new one on. The feeling that was inside me, felt great.

"Seems that Nagato didn't awaken yet. =/"

But then suddenly something came to mind, where in the world was I? My body quickly got off the bed, and began to walk around the little area I was in. "Hello! Anyone here?" The words escaped my vocal cords in a very high pitch tone. My life was going to change and I knew it from the start, but I never knew it would have something to do with Nagato in it. And where was that Shin guy, he was someone I needed to talk to asap. Maybe he could answer my questions about this accursed clan known as Uchiha.

It seemed that one of the two warrior's that were tested by the Mizukage himself had awakened. Seemingly excited to be under the watch of another shinobi. Leaning against the wall, the onyx hues that rested within the clansman of the Uchiha clan were closed as he looked out over him. Turning his head towards the Genin that was before him. His mouth had parted as he looked forth and spoke out loud towards the others.

"Seppuku, do not worry. My focus isn't only upon the Uchiha, but the village as a whole. For now I must provide the younger generation with each key element to great power."

With a simple smirk, that told the Hyuuga that everything was going to be fine regarding the shinobi of Kirigakure. It was obvious that this man's intentions were to help the village grow and prosper as a whole. While providing a home for Uchiha's who were seeking out the truth and a bit of sanctuary for those that sought out a resting place.

His presence was something compared to a god of some sort; a true god. I honestly was chocking with my words and finally I could speak, but I was truly afraid of the man. "Excuse, Shin-san can you please teach Nagato and I? I a truly asking you, keep us under your wing. This may be much to ask, but please." My head was hung in shame, while these words were escaped my lips.

"And one more thing. Why has the clan turn out like this? We were once famous and now people do not even remember us truly. Why is this? Please explain too me."

The most quickly of the two that were dispatched awoke first. Surely it was his calling or perhaps this was the beginning cycle of a few things to come within Kirigakure. The boy talked and chocked upon his words towards Hateshinai Furea as if he was of legend. Did the boy before him not know that in fact Shin was far from where he wanted to be? That statue of the greatest Shinobi that was Kouketsu was truly where he wanted to be at. Held in the same praise besides that man. Oh, how sickening it was to know that in truth he has a long way to go. Yet, here he was. Doing the same thing to these two young Uchiha like Kouketsu done to him some years back. The world was indeed a small place and the saying Karma's a bitch was true in fact. The Karma lost within the archives of his mind, but all the same he'll continue to develop these two.

"Foolish one...the headband that you have placed at your brow. Tell me the insignia belongs to...Kirigakure. Am I not correct? Then that should answer your first question.

Who was he and what was his name? Shin's failure to gain this one's name before the conversation truly began was something else. With multiple eyes including the monk's fixed upon the boy's and Shin's position. Things seemed to be a bit uneasy at the time, but regardless there was much more to it than the others saw. With the darkest of all hues glaring at the figure before him, he'll listen to the last part of his question and step towards Seppuku.

"Were you not informed of the great Genocide some years back? It's too much work to go into, but I can assure you this. Kouketsu and his wife as well as Atsuhiro produced this place as a haven for us. The Uchiha Clan. Simply put...this place here is not just a temple for Uchiha to visit. There are certain aspects of this temple that must be abides for and the library can answer your previous question. Though at this particular moment...all I can give you is...It's almost time."

Cold words, but the nobility about not giving away future plans were something else. Still moving towards the door, the Uchiha looked at Seppuku and nodded for him to leave. It seemed as though the Monks of the Uchiha Temple did not like the fact that Shin had brought a Hyuuga within their walls. Yet, the Sage of Thunder wouldn't enjoy that method either since crafting him the Tokihaga, but what was the Sage of Wind's opinion on the Uchiha's and Hyuugas.

Seppuku didn't need any hints to realize he wasn't exactly welcomed in this fabled Uchiha Temple, which oddly came after the Hyuuga Mansion, biters anyone? But he wouldn't let that bother hi, taking the nod from Shin as a time to go as he would throw the deuces to the young Uchiha, beginning his trek back out of the temple, crimson eyes following him all the way.

I listened to the man's words and when he was done; I nodded. "By the way, my name is Kenshin." I stated with pride, since I was an Uchiha also. But I needed to do something quickly--I left a note next to Nagato's bed and left. The not had information on where to find me.

Funny though that Nagato woke up the same time when I left the note. I explained everything to him and he agreed to join the mist also--awesomeness. Then we both left. (i was given permission from the user to npc his character.)
