Encounter At Dusk {Private/Invite Only}

<sub>It was late in the day, as darkness slowly became to consume the village. There was a magnificent sunset, but it was hidden behind the permanent mist that lingered in the air. This was Miryoku's favourite time of day, just before night. It was always calm and tranquil, when she would wind down for the day from training. She had returned from another day helping out at a small hospital, where she did some volunteer work. She aspired to become a medic, so that was a good place to start getting experience.

The Onigami paused before a lake, glancing down at her fragile complexion in the water. She flexed her white wings a bit, then stretched her arms out into the air. She was heading back towards home, to rest up for another day. It was starting to become routine though, hardly changing. She would work, train, go home to sleep, and repeat. She didn't mind, but she always hoped for a change of pace.

Miryoku continued to admire the lake while light still illuminated her surroundings. She was in no rush to go anywhere, or do anything. It wasn't often that she took a bit of time to just stand back and do nothing. Then again, doing nothing was anything but tolerable, as she always liked to keep herself occupied. She watched as her eyes took on a brighter red hue, as her Tasukeru became active. Through much training, she had expanded the range of her all-seeing vision, and its use was becoming more natural to her. She smiled at her reflection, blinking her peculiar red eyes.</sub>

The chuunin sauntered about the village. He was in a state of worry. The village seemed absolutely dead, minus the few he'd interacted with recently. There was no excuse. Sure, they'd lost a kage recently, but why was there not another elected? Perhaps the council had something up there sleeve planned. However, he was very cautious of the council. Just two years ago, this same mysterious group had turned the denizens of kirigakure against themselves, in an attempt to oust the Uchiha. This bloody event still held lingering scars over the land, at least for those that remembered. Aclime was amongst that group, who fought... all for naught.


His silver occuli would scan the skies as they gradually began to darken. What could he do? Perhaps he could take another mission, escorting some more mist nin who might becoming stronger under his tutelage. Or maybe he could... what could he really do? He was distraught, loosing to the oblivion depression once more. It all appeared hopeless. And then nearly everyone had the villages location. At anytime, the village could be thrown into a chaos like no other. What would happen then? These concerns all pressed his mind. His failing mood would cause his eye color to shift to deep blue, though he was still unaware of this event.


Finally, he made the decision to visit a favored spot in this village. It was the lake, the one he'd trained near years ago. It had provided him some tranquility for a bit, before reality threatened to asphyxiate him. Perhaps he could garner some solace now. It would be twilight though before he made his appearance. The first thing he'd notice would be the glacier surface of the water. Seconds later, he would spot a young lady. She appeared to be a cross between distraught and content oddly enough.


Aclime would observe her for a while, silently standing about fifteen meter away. There was a slight forested region, dying down to bits of undergrowth as it got to the forest. He wished to relax here as well. Perhaps she wouldn't mind. Walking closer, he would be sure to step on as many twigs and leaves as possible, announcing his presence long before he reached her to talk. When he finally got with five meters, he said, "Hello there. Tranquil, isn't it? I've enjoyed the spot many a day in the past. I fear I'm far to busy these days though." His deep baritone voice would resonate a moment before he stopped to sit down at the edge of the lake, a few feet from her. It was up to her to ask him to leave, or accept his presence.

<sub>Perhaps now it was time to head home, to call an end to another typical day. She relaxed her wings, and was about to turn around towards the direction of her residence. A figure had entered her sight that covered every degree around herself. Miryoku didn't really acknowledge the presence of the other, as everyone to her was a passerby, a person she would never associate with. It wasn't until the figure came closer that she started to pay attention. It almost seemed as though he was approaching her, perhaps to start a conversation.

Even though she knew where the male was, Miryoku didn't make direct eye contact with him, as her Tasukeru could do all the observing for her. He appeared to stop in the forested area, simply watching her. The Onigami pursed her lips slightly, questioning his intentions. It wasn't until the cracking of twigs breaking apart from the weight of his feet that she decided to glance over at him. For the moment, it seemed he had no quarrels with her, or at least the intentions of causing her harm. She could relax for now.

The male spoke, verifying he meant no harm. Miryoku figured his allegiance was with the village, as he mentioned this lake was a coveted spot of his to relax. This lake truly was a tranquil place, where the stress of life was unable to reach. It made the Onigami smile a bit as she turned back to the lake, watching small ripples in the water as tiny bugs danced on the surface on the lake.

"I usually wander by this place everyday, but today is the first time in awhile that I've actually paused to enjoy it for a bit."

Miryoku informed, glancing at the male who now took a seat before the care-free lake. She felt no threat towards him; he just seemed like a fellow Mist ninja who was enjoying the scenery. She had never seen him around though, despite the fact she spent most of her days about in the village.

"Anyways, my name is Miryoku. I'm assuming you are from around here, yes?"

The Onigami questioned, angling her body towards him and stretching her arm forward and downwards slightly to shake his hand. If he wasn't really around from here, then that might be a problem. She was equipped with techniques from her bloodlimit that would suffice as protection if trouble brewed. For now though, she felt comfortable and trusting of the friendly male.</sub>

The kamyuja would observe her carefully. It seemed she was a bit cautious of his approach at first, not that he blamed her. However, the mood softened somewhat after he addressed her. That was good. It seemed allowing himself to be heard had a merit after all. After all, being the skilled shinobi he was, if he had not intended to be detected, he could simply attempt a silent approach. That wasn't the case though. His expression lightened slightly as he saw her smile.


He decided to answer her remark with his usual reply given to any. "Yes Miryoku. I'm Gekkido Runeska, a Chuunin. I'm not surprised that you do not know me though. I don't usually make very many public appearance. That, and my missions keep out of the hidden mist these days. But for now, I'm home. Aclime paused in his talking to observe her a bit more. She had a very unique appearance. Wings upon her back, and then the particular red eyes.


Uchiha perhaps... No, at least not that I've seen before Her eyes were scarlet colored, but not the normal shade of red a human might occasionally have. However, they were far different from the Uchiha eyes. There were no Tomoes, as he observed in the few Uchiha he'd known. Maybe it was just another oddity, like his natural silver eyes and hair, although his eyes were blue at the moment. He'd gotten suddenly quiet, enough that it was obvious that he was thinking. Along the same time, his stare had become piercing, perceptive with a slight edge. Once he realized this, he forced himself out his mind to break the silence.


"I apologize for staring. It's just your eyes... Never mind." It was rude to pry for information that wasn't volunteered from an ally. He should have known as much from his own preferences. He shook his head slightly before attempting to change the subject. "Anyway, I come to this spot whenever I have the chance to, but I've never seen you here. How long have you been hanging out here?"

<sub>Miryoku appeared intrigued when Gekkido mentioned he was a Chuunin. It made her think of the Chuunin exams, and how one day she hoped to be strong enough to participate in them. She understood that the exams were challenging, and threatened death, so for now, those were way out of her league. She needed much more training before she could even consider entering the exams. She was surprised that the male was a Chuunin though; she hadn't come across a person with that kind of status yet.

"Nice to meet you. A Chuunin, hmm? I hope to become one myself today."

Miryoku spoke, her voice drifting off near the end. It was a long shot dream, but she would work towards it anyhow. Perhaps Gekkido could help her out with that, as he had been through the process of becoming a Chuunin. She wasn't about to impose just yet though; she had just met him, after all. For now, she would just get to know him a bit better.

She noticed he seemed to be staring at her, particularly her eyes. The Onigami blinked her intense eyes, staring back at his deep blue eyes. She knew her eyes drew attention, as they weren't a typical eye colour. She rarely spoke of her eyes though, and the power they possessed. She believed that it was wise to keep the traits of her bloodlimit confidential, as no one else she had met seemed to have knowledge of her capabilities.

"It's alright, you're not the first person to wonder about my eyes..."

Miryoku said quietly, averting her gaze back to the lake. She was thankful for the quick change in subject, glad that he wasn't about to push her for more information about her eyes. Maybe one day he would figure out for himself that her eyes could detect all life within a wide radius around her.

"I haven't been here long, nor do I really stop by here often. I do a bit of work at a hospital nearby, to learn to become a better medic, so I pass by this lake whenever I go from home to the hospital and back. This is the first time in awhile that I've just stopped here and relaxed. It's peaceful, I got to say."

Miryoku explained, with a slight smile. Really, she should come here more often. Despite the fact she wasn't one to stand around and do nothing, just admiring the lake alone felt fulfilling. It cleared her mind, left her at ease.</sub>

The chuunin listened intently as the female, Miryoku spoke to him. Unknown to her, she'd already peaked his interest, and only continued to do so more as the seconds past by. After all, one of his largest task was protecting and strengthening the hidden mist. That required strengthening it's individual shinobis, a task in itself. But the task was only possible to those who wanted that strength and power. The thought crossed his mind though, Does she really want the rank of chuunin? And if so, is she willing to go the distance for it? It's not an easy task...

There were other avenues of thought to pursue though. He promised himself not to pry any kind of personal info from her, but if ever the opportunity to discover it arrived, he would do so. After all, he seemed to find more intriguing things about the lass every passing moment. She was a medic, and a very busy one by the sounds of it. The only other female medic he knew... well, medics were extraordinary being in his eyes. They were the only ones that could apparently stave off death in sudden emergencies. Perhaps...she could make it into a position of power and responsibility. To do that though, it would take a little initiative, and some work.


Mentally, the gears stopped turning for a second. If he wasn't mistaken, he'd just mentally started planning out another person's future, without being forced to. It was very uncharacteristic of his natural self. Perhaps the lines between him and his chuunin alias were blurring. It caused a bit of worry. He'd not really had anytime to be himself. Alas, it was the consequences of a deed poorly done.


I wonder. Perhaps a bit of honest interest could start that spark for her...It was an idea. He had been in the same place nearly 2 years ago. It was the anbu who complimented him that really got him to consider such a place as he was in now. "I see Miryoku. You're a medic. That's fascinating. I hear it's a very demanding craft. You should continue working on it. It's hands like yours that save the needy in times of peril. I'm sure with the right practice, you could further your skills to chuunin and further."


He nodded his head, punctuating his words as if to say them as an assurance while showing his interest. What he really wanted was to see if she was fit for anbu. However, he would not tell her that. The interest after all had to be her own. If not of her own mind, not only would it be a meaningless gesture, but it would put her and those she interacted with in greater peril. Of course, the kamyuja was more interested in her current reaction. If it proved favorable, perhaps he could work with her. But if it was a meek flinching reaction with no resolve, he would leave her to her own devices. He wouldn't help the meager. They were too soon to bail when things got a little difficult, like the current situation.

<sub>"Yes, it's not the easiest profession. Although I've only recently started, there's just so much to learn and remember. I haven't performed any medical miracles yet, as I'm just beginning, but I hope to do so someday."

Miryoku chuckled a bit as she revealed her current lack of skill with being a medic. She had only recently started working at the hospital, and hadn't really accomplished much there. For now, she usually just watched as the other doctors performed on their patients, making observations and mental notes. She would help occasionally, finding new ways to manipulate chakra so she could seal a wound or mend broken bones.

She smiled a bit towards the encouragement that Gekkido gave. The doctors she worked with weren't so nice, as a compliment was rare. They just didn't want to inflate Miryoku's mind with over-confidence, which could potentially cost someone their life in a dire situation. The Onigami knew she would become a great medic, but getting there was going to require a lot of patience, and a lot of patients to practice on.

Determination flared in her glowing red eyes as she thought about what she could achieve. It gave her purpose in life, something she nearly lost when she lost her parents. Well, she wouldn't let her late father down, and carry on his talent for being a medic. Perhaps someday when she was stronger and more well-known, she could reunite with her mother after all of these years.

"I hope one day to save some lives, but I know I've got a lot to learn before I can do so. But I guess I'll get somewhere if I just keep trying!"

Miryoku sounded optimistic as she spoke. She had no doubts in her mind that she would succeed. She glanced to the lake with a beaming smile; these thoughts left her content and determined.</sub>

Hm... are you satisfied... Aclime? It's as plain as I can see it. She wants it bad, real bad. The voice was in his head, similar to his own, only darker in nature. She would neither hear or perceive what was going on his mind.

What do you mean satisfied? He would feign ignorance with the voice, but he knew what it meant. She portrayed a spark of determination, will, endurance perhaps, despite her frail frame. He thought if there was something he could do to aid her. Perhaps a test of intelligence or wit. Maybe he could see if she held the skill to actually become greater than she currently was. Some simply didn't have it.


Still so infantile are we? Just sit back. I want to see this one. It all occurred after the medic had finished talking. The chuunin Gekkido would appear to have a sudden onset of migraines. Both eyes would winces shut, his right hand gripping the center of his forehead and covering the right socket. He would bow foreword shortly from pain, ears ringing lightly. There was a slight grunt uttered then nothing, he was silent, as if the moment had passed. His would sit back up as if to shake away a haze. Something had occurred.


Gekkido stared at Miryoku, eyes piercing and narrowed. But what was truly different? His eyes were red in contrast from the deep blue they were. They were searching her, as if to decide what to do. A few seconds later, he stood, dusting himself off. "Miryoku, I wonder" his voice echoed in the night, voice a tad bit deeper, yet sharp with a metallic edge, "I could teach you a technique... if you're interested. It won't be easy though." The being before her had put up a small proposition, with a hidden intent. He was clearly different than the man that had introduced himself as a chuunin yet at the same time, it was the same person.


The technique in mind was a high level technique that perhaps shouldn’t be taught. Aclime wouldn’t teach it typically, without extenuating circumstances. But this other man… was different. What was his motivation? Simply put, he wondered if she was along enough to learn the move, or if simply introducing her to it would destroy her. And if it didn’t destroy her, would she do so herself through continue use? Hm… the possibilities. He laughed on the inside. It could be quite entertaining. "I can teach you kage bunshin, the shadow clone technique.”

<sub>Everything seemed to be going smoothly, until some strange behaviour seemed to come over Gekkido. It appeared he was in sudden pain, which alarmed Miryoku. Just moments ago, he was perfectly fine, but now it seemed he was struck with an invisible force that left him writhing in pain. Her red eyes were now wide with bewilderment and concern, and she took a slight step back. This made the Onigami feel slightly uneasy, as there seemed to be no logical explanation as to what happened. She wasn't aware of what was going on in his mind.

"Are... Are you alright?"

She finally questioned after Gekkido seemed to silence. She had assumed a slightly more defensive position, with her knees bent slightly and her wings flared out a bit, She wasn't expecting a fight, but it wasn't wise to not be prepared. Something bizarre seemed to happen to the male, and the last thing she needed was to be unprepared for a sudden change of events.

The red hue that now consumed his eyes caught her off guard, as they were blue moments ago. She didn't have time to question them though, as he had already posed an inquiry. He offered to share the knowledge of a new technique, one that apparently wouldn't prove to be easy. A challenge sounded intriguing to Miryoku; it overpowered the slight discomfort Gekkido brought on with his surge of pain.

When Gekkido mentioned Kage Bunshin, her eyes lit up with surprise. She knew a couple of bunshin techniques herself; the basic one from back in the days of the Academy, and an Onigami Bunshin that could elude any Doujutsu. However, she hadn't heard of this variation before, and didn't see how 'shadow clones' could be much different.

"Kage Bunshin? Shadow clones? Do explain."

Now she was curious. She wanted to know if it was any different from her Onigami bunshin. Of course it was, but she didn't know whether it would be more effective or not. It had to be good thouigh, as she figured Gekkido wouldn't waste any time teaching her a technique that wouldn't prove helpful.</sub>

Hm... she appeared very defensive to his sudden change. Yes, very defensive. Interestingly enough, even as she cringed and moved away, she still seemed to have a some kind of concern for his behavior. The crimson eyed Gekkido only narrowed his eyes on her. She seemed ready to perhaps flee, if he did something. But at the mention of a technique, the anxiety melted away instantly. He could tell he had her attention. That was good, real good.



Left hand on chin, he pondered on the explanation, as far as what to say was concerned. How much detail could he use? Perhaps 60% was good enough. That would lead her to know of most of it's uses, but leave out the drawback... Though if she were smart, she'd figure it out on her own.

Effect: The Kage Bushin no Jutsu (Shadow Clone Jutsu) is a increased and stronger form of the Regular Bushin jutsu which is a meer Genjutsu. Kage Bushin allows the clones to actually inflict damage upon the opponent, They can even use jutsu for they carry their own chakra circulatory system making it even impossible for the Hyuuga clan members to tell them apart from the original. Each clone that the user makes divides his.her chakra up evenly between them making ten clones means each clone has one tenth the original users chakra supply. The clones are real enough they even bleed when cut but when inflicted with enough damage the clone disappears.
Special: A special Handsign where the user crosses the two first fingers of each hand making a cross.
Drawback: The average user can only make about 5 clones. Excessive use of the Clone jutsu can leave the use extremely low on chakra. When the clones are destroyed the user does not get a return in charka.
Description: The Kage Bushin is an Exact Replica of the user and can not in anyway be proven to be a copy not even by the most elite of jutsu. Unless taken to the test and actually harmed.
Limit: Must be an ANBU. Must be Chuunin in order to get this technique. Kage only is capable of allowing someone to learn.

"Interested, eh?" He would take a moment to realign his hands together before his chest. He would be standing, about 2 meters away from her, clearly in view of the medic. Both hands would extend forward to form a single handseal, though it wouldn't be of zodiac creation. Rather, a divine symbol, a cross, would be formed.

Whist he channeled his chakra, he spoke. "Yes, the shadow clone is an extraordinary cloning jutsu. Unlike nearly any other clone... it is real. It's an exact physical copy of the creator." The channeling of his chakra would be deliberately slow, enough so that it was obvious that this one single seal was the only needed handseal. "This special seal is specifically for said jutsu." Suddenly, there would be an audible puff of smoke, and on the other side of her, There would be a second Gekkido with scarlet eyes.


"The kage bunshin no jutsu creates a carbon copy of the user," he would pause, leaving the clone beside her to pick up the conversation. "Undistinguishable in anyway what so ever," here, he and the clone would speak in unison, echoing in both her ear, "till pushed to the test. Even a doujutsu, any doujutsu, can not tell it apart." The back and forth motion of the conversation would continue around her. He had no idea about her perceptive abilities, but even with them, she would not see a man and a clone. Rather, she would see the man twice with no difference between either body. “Here give it a try.”

Miryoku's red eyes focused on Gekkido's hands as they came together to form a cross. His hand movements were slow, but they didn't appear to change once the cross was made. She stared for a moment, expecting more hand seals, but they didn't continue. She glanced up at Gekkido, with a slight perplexed expression. She wouldn't say anything to interrupt his teachings though.

He went on to explain that a shadow clone was a flawless copy of the creator, one that might as well be considered real. She realized that the cross was the only hand seal required to perform the technique, which almost seemed a little too simple for her. Within moments though, a clone of Gekkido would appear on her other side from a cloud of smoke.

The Onigami glanced over at the clone, impressed with the perfection of the being standing beside her. Sure, her Onigami bunshins looked like her, but they weren't capable of much but fooling Doujutsus. However, what could these 'shadow clones' do exactly?

She listened as Gekkido's words came to her in stereo, hearing words from both sides. They seemed to be in sync, as if they could read each others' minds. With that, Miryoku would attempt to create a perfect clone just as Gekkido did. It looked simple to perform, but looks could be deceiving. She brought her hands out in front of her, repeating the cross that Gekkido had formed moments ago.

Miryoku's eyes closed, and she focused her chakra. Her face was full of concentration, and it was difficult to clear her mind. A cloud of smoke arose beside her, which triggered Miryoku to open her eyes. Standing, or rather hunched over beside her was a horrible attempt of a clone. It looked nothing more like a skeleton in skin, with an expression like death and a structure of disgrace. The clone wasn't able to hold itself it, so it crumbled to the ground, and vanished within smoke. The Onigami stared in silence, disgusted by what was created.

"Uhm..."

She mumbled, unsure of what to say. She almost felt embarrassed, creating something less than acceptable in front of the Chuunin. She looked discourage, but the feeling was brief. Like many of the techniques she had learned, the first time trying them wasn't always the prettiest. At least she could create... a frail structure of bones and stretched skin. She glanced at Gekkido to seek guidance.

"Well, the first time you tried this it wasn't so successful, right?"

She asked, wondering if he experienced the same problem back when he was first learning this technique. Nonetheless, she would try again; she could only get better anyways. She awaited to see if Gekkido could provide any assistance, or if he would just tell her to try again.</sub>

He watched closely, observing her form as she performed the technique, or rather, tried performing the technique. As he expected, she received similar results to his first time with the technique. "You're right. My first attempt wasn't much greater than yours. You make a grave error too." Gekkido's eyes closed briefly as he began to sigh. "It's not just a clone though. It is every bit as much as you, as you are here.

The Gekkido that in fact the shadow, stood to her other side. At the same time, the pair would form handseals. One string would create a single water clone while the other created a lightning clone. The water clone would sprout from the lake and the lightning close from a static flash. "These two clones are useful, but created of the elements. They are thus restricted to such." The clone spoke.


"However," began Gekkido, "A kage bunshin can do almost anything the creator can." His eyes reopened and he asked, "But do you know why?" He waited for a second, but then continue on, giving her no chance to reply. "Kage bunshins have their own created chakra ciculatory systems."


He and the kage bunshin would step back to eachother, standing side to side. The elemntal clones would disperse, leaving just the two of them. "Tell me, how much chakra do you think it would use to creat such? Tell me, are you tired, perhaps a bit weary? Let me know when you are?" That was the next hint. He wouldn't continue to give her such so frequently. I wonder how far she'll get before she realizes just how much chakra it drains.

A wave of relief washed over Miryoku when Gekkido mentioned that his first time trying to form a shadow clone didn't end in success either. Even when she trained her other variation of bunshin techniques, they often ended up looking like dying versions of herself. So, a weight was lifted off her shoulders, as she wasn't hassled about being less than perfect. She was about to speak, but it appeared that Gekkido and the clone were preparing something new.

Two more clones appeared, but unlike the shadow clone, they were formed by elements. They looked the same as Gekkido though and the shadow clone though. However, she took note that the shadow clone was able to create a clone from an element, as if it could function completely on its own. This was when Miryoku focused her red eyes upon the clone. Her Tasukeru eyes indicated that the shadow clone emitted a chakra system, while the water and lightning clones didn't. She blinked her eyes a couple times, to make sure she was seeing this right. It was almost as if the Kage Bunshin wasn't a clone at all.

Gekkido explained what the Onigami had come to assume; shadow clones had their own chakra systems. It was intriguing, as even her Onigami Bunshins couldn't attack independently; they could only elude Doujutsus. With that, Miryoku would try again, now that she knew about them a little more. Once again, she extended her index and middle finger on each hand, forming a cross. A cloud of smoke appeared beside her, and once it faded away, a carbon copy Miryoku took its place. Her eyes lit up; the clone looked flawless on the outside.

It was then that she became aware of a sudden loss in energy. It came in a rush, it came as a shock. She leaned forward slightly in response, holding an arm across her stomach. She collected herself after a couple moments, then glanced over at her clone. The bunshin stared back, looking at her creator with a bit of concern. That was a strange feeling indeed.

"Tired? Well, I'm feeling it now..."

Miryoku responded, standing straight again. Was Gekkido expecting this? Well, she certainly wasn't. At least she had created a shadow clone now that didn't look like death. "Yes, well if you had to, guess how much chakra you've used on this training so far. I'll give you a hint. Originally, you had a lot of chakra. Everytime you've tried this technique though, you're supply has dropped drastically, but by a smaller percentage" Cryptic, but a bit of thought would make it easy to discern. He began to get impacient though. Something was going about mist even as he stood here. He would have to leave and find out what that was. He took a glance at his kage bunshin to Miryoku's left. Thinking on what he should do. Hm... he'd leave, just like that, not a word spoken. He'd soon disspear into the distance, apparently heading in the direction of the kage's tower.

"Hmph, spoil sport," the remaining kage bunshin would say. "Who needs you. Which brings us towards our next tidbit of information." He paused, turning away from it's original counterpart. "A kage bunshin has no range where it must stay near the user" It would probably sound too good to be true. And it was. But he was sure she'd began figuring out the quinks of the technique in the near future. "Now, again."

She felt drained, even though she hadn't done much more than create a couple of clones. This seemed to be a technique that should be used with caution; it proved helpful, but it came at a price. It seemed as though her clones took away some of her chakra when they were created, as when Miryoku glanced at her clone, she could see a chakra system emitting from it. When she looked back from her clone, Gekkido left without speaking a word. His clone remained though, even though it was very difficult to tell it was the clone.

The point was proved when Gekkido fled towards the Kage tower, and the clone didn't disappear. Now Miryoku became really interested; there seemed to be no flaws in these shadow clones, other than a lot of chakra was lost to them when creating them. This was something she had to master. Fortunately, it seemed as though the clone would stay back to help her perfect the technique too.

The clone was assertive, asking her to perform the technique again. Her clone now watched as well, remaining quiet and attentive. All eyes were on her to repeat what she had just done. She figured that this would drain more of her chakra, so she would have to be careful. Miryoku took in a breath, brought her hands together to form a cross, then on the other side of her, another clone appeared. Just like the one she had created before, it appeared perfect in appearance, which brought a smile to Miryoku's face. Success twice in a row, she was pleased.

"So, these clones can use techniques that I know, right? Can these clones use this technique as well to make clones of... themselves?"

Miryoku posed the question, curious to know if that was capable. The two clones looked at each other, but proceeded to do nothing. If it could be done, would it still drain chakra away from her, the creator? She wondered if the clone knew; shouldn't he know the same things as Gekkido did? She still had so many questions, but maybe some of the knowledge was meant to be learned on her own. For now, she was eager to see what her clones were capable of, and if they could do everything she could do.</sub>

Hm... she was thinking, very good. But he was beginning to lose his interest in playing sensei. His purpose was to test and see if the female was capable of learning this technique and using it. She seemed intelligent enough not to fall into a trap with the technique, as proof from the questions she asked. However, he still wouldn't reveal anything she did not ask of him. "You're very bright Miryoku. Yes, in deed you can, for a large price. Every time a new clone is made, it splits your remaining chakra equally."


Forming a cross, the clone would create 4 more puffs of smoke, each fading to show another shadow clone. In unision, they each said, "What stands before you is the maximum number of clones you should try to make at your level. Anymore, and the effort would be too taxing." His tongue was becoming a little loose. It would perhaps be a while before he said another hint.

Miryoku observed as Gekkido's clone formed a few more clones, answering her question. She glanced over at her own clones, figuring they could do the same. It wouldn't be wise right now though, as much chakra would be displaced in several clones, resulting in each of them possessing only a small amount of it. The clones wouldn't be worthwhile if they were all too drained to fight.

"What more could these clones do?"

Miryoku mumbled thoughtfully, unaware of the movement of one of her clones. The copy glanced at one of Gekkido's clones, preparing to put herself to use. The clone had no intentions of starting a violent fight, but a spar moretheless. This way, Miryoku could see how durable the clones were, and how much fight they have in them before they disappeared.

The clone held her right arm up beside her body, holding her palm out flat and away from her. Chakra was summoned from her palm, spreading outwards to form a disc about a metre in diameter. She grinned towards the clone she had decided to target, then pulled her arm back. The kage bunshin threw her arm forward, and the halo was released, spinning towards one of Gekkido's clones swiftly.

As soon as the chakra was formed, Miryoku's eyes caught sight of the action. She lifted her head, and watched as the clone tossed the halo towards Gekkido's clone. Good, her clones seemed to know the techniques that she learned herself. It seemed they could make decisions on their own too, which was good, for the most part. She thought the clone's choice to fight was a little irrational, but the calm expression on her copy's face suggested that there was no serious intentions in the attack.

Miryoku stood back and allowed her clone to do her thing. She also watched Gekkido's clones, waiting to see if he would counter. She would observe her clone and how she fought. It already seemed as though the clone was more willing to spar than she was, and Miryoku wasn't one to fight. Maybe once she mastered creating shadow clones, she could get them to deal with all of her battling.

She was still fascinated by how these clones could trick her Onigami eyes into believing they were real people. It was slightly unsettling as well, as she didn't know how many other ninjas out there could perform such a technique. Her eyes could penetrate through other clones, as when she practiced training other Bunshin techniques, they didn't emit chakra systems or any other hidden signs of life. A technique like this was almost scary, yet she felt it was important to know for becoming ANBU.

Drawback: These halo have no effect on the world unless jutsu are used with them. The bright glow makes stealth hard if not impossible.
Description: The user creates a bright glowing Halo made out of chakra with a diameter of 100 centimeter near their body. The colour of the glow can be altered by the user. Per time learned, one is capable of creating another Halo. When first created, a Halo will appear within a meter from the user, and from then on tend to swirl about behind their back unless they are used. The user can move these Halo through the air as they please as long as they are within eyesight.
Limit: Clan jutsu.

Description: The user puts their hand inside the Halo and coils their fingers around the edge. The moment the user puts his hand through the Halo, it can be thrown. The impact of this can be matched with a giant iron disc being smashed into something, though its surprisingly light to wield. This disk, after being thrown towards the desired point, flies back to the user.
Limit: One must have the at least one Seiðr Halo activated.

Did she, or did she not know that she was currently surrounded by an assembly of shadow clones? It did perhaps not matter at all. All she did have to know was the uses and tolls of the technique. Kage bunshin's died after taking but so much damage, one very well placed hit, actually. This would be demonstated quite explicity as the assembly of clones watched the medic. The five had already decided what they'd do, as they all followed the same natural chain of thought. The clone whom the halo was aimed at simply stood there, taking the blow. It hit him clear in the chest, though he could have evaded easily. It would be enough to disperse and destroy him, leaving the remain four to their own devices.


One clone would form a short series of handseals. In seconds, a six walled barier of wind would around the attacking shadow clone, encassing in a cubed box. The chakra within the winds would keep it invisible, or so he thought, as the medic had an unknown doujutsu that could see chakra.

A second clone had held the rat handseal, and a moment later, charged its eyes with enough raiton chakra to blind the area for a few seconds. Of course, only the medic clone would be close enough to be affected.

Lastly, the third would have formed handseals, awakening the katon chakra within it. It would have moved to an angle so that it's attack wouldn't harm anyone other than it's intended target, the trapped medic clone. Blinded and trapped within a cube of wind, a ravenous flame would engulf the creation and captive. Shielded from an initial explosive blast, the clone would instead feel the a radiated furnace of heat that would waft over her before super heating the air, causing it's destruction.


What was the point though? To show her that he could squash anything she tried? Perhaps to put fear into her, or show her who was more dominate? No, of course not. If he'd wanted such, he'd never show her the technique in the first place. Instead, as shadow clones shared their information with their masters on the destruction, Miryoku would know what the clone felt as it was destroyed. He ask his question now, "Miryoku, tell me, what do you feel right now? have you learned anything... new?" He was of course, leading without saying
