Genin Exam II: Greenhouse of the Dead [P]

OOC: You guys, quote what tech you're using, makes everyone's life easier.

The Kaguya would stand in the heart of the undead kingdom, fighting with merely melee skills for his life. Yet a new element came into play: the flames of the Uchiha. As if sensing danger, the plants would suddenly intensify in their attacks against the Kaguya, a blizzard of strikes coming from every angle, reminding Toshiie the rashness of his actions. Would he get by unscathed? It was doubtful. However, just as sudden as the frenzy of attacks started, it suddenly ceased, and the vines retreated into the shadows, beating out what flames Kamitsuke had started with moist and hardened vines. What did this mean?

It only meant that the worst had yet to come. Suddenly, the vines would roar across the room, blocking every entrance or exit possible, covering every inch possible. An unholy light would emerge from the hole that Toshiie had fell into and a flare would suddenly shoot out, sticking itself into the ceiling, the only light source that there would be at the moment. Out of nowhere, a man would warp into existence before the three, his appearance belying youth and vigor. He seemed to be in his thirties, yet was dressed in rags. But his face was full of confidence and seemed oddly clean in contrast with his clothes. He stretched his arms out wide, as if welcoming the intruders. But he suddenly starts coughing and falls unto one knee, his hand touching the floor. Depending on your sight, you can see that his hair suddenly had stripes of white in it, where it had been completely brown before. Will you attack the ailing man? Or will you sit back and watch before taking action?

Saitsohi followed Kamitsuke down through the roof and into the greenhouse, shards of glass from the roof reflecting the moon around them as they fell. Kamitsuke spewed fire down towards the animated plants chariing the vines while Saitsohi sped through his own required hand seals.

Boar, Hare, Ox, Monkey, Rat, Horse.

The ball of lightning materialized in his hands and he flung it at one of the vine monsters. It hit it’s target and the plant spasmed and stiffened, immobilized by his Raikyuu making it an easy target for his comrades. The fauna’s attacks intensified, vines whipping around them as Saitoshi ducked and rolled out of the way. Again he used the Raikyuu, paralysing another plant for his comrades to finish off. He silently wished that he had techniques that would have proven more destructive against these things, but knew that here and know he needed to play support and slow down their assailants for his companions to finish.

But nearly as quickly as they had picked up their intensity, the vines seemingly retreated to the walls and roof bashing out the flames that Kamitsuke had started. In doing so they blocked all the exits and the three found themselves trapped inside.

A bright light suddenly shot up from the pit where the older boy had been trapped and Saitoshi shaded his eyes. When he looked back Saitoshi saw a man standing where moments ago there had been no one, perhaps thirty years old and dress in what appeared to be nothing more than rags. His arms were spread in what looked a little like a greeting, but suddenly he fell to his knees and his hair, which moments ago had been brown, developed white streaks through them.

“The man is probably a projection of some form, but you may test it if you wish."

”Perhaps, the elements flow differently through him than they do through you and I, but I don’t have enough experience to tell you for sure. All I can tell you is that something about him is different.” Projection or not, Saitoshi didn’t like to take chances and he wasn’t certain that these plants were going to remain docile for too much longer. ”This should confirm whether he is corporeal or not.”

Boar, Hare, Ox, Monkey, Rat, Horse.

If the man were real, the Raikyuu would just paralyse him and if it was just a projection it would pass through and hit one of the plants on the wall behind him. Saitoshi launched the Lightning ball at the ‘man’ who had seemingly appeared out of no where.

Raiton - Raikyuu (Lightning Ball)

Effect: Creates a ball of lightning used to where the technique is capable of being hurled towards the person.
Special: "Hand Seals"
Drawback: The user is unable to move while using this technique.
Description: The user does an amount of handseals as they quickly concentrate on the chakra along the palm of their hands. The technique is used to where they create a small ball of lightning to where the user is capable of hurling it towards the opponent. This technique is weak however and is only capable of paralyzing an opponent for approximately one round no matter how strong the opponent may be.
Limit: Lightning Release

The very epitome of all his research, the man was faking it. A projection? The man laughed when he heard such absurdity. So what if this was Amegakure? However, he attacked right when they least expected it, even before Toshiie had finished speaking and Satoshi had even begun his hand seals. It was quite laughable that they actually fell for it, though at least they had the sense to test him. However, they took too long and should have attacked right away. The man would regain that shine he had and his arm would turn into a tree as it smashed into the area where the three were, fortunately all gathered together in one place for him to crush. Moreover, this technique was twofold. If they got hit by the initial blow, safe to say their internal organs would be injured by the sheer force of the blow. If they did not evade well enough, then thick, but sharp and long branches would pierce them (about 5 meters long). The man laughed manically as he watched for their reactions, all the while secretly performing one-handed seals with his 'normal' hand. How will you three react?

Doton: Rikujou Douyou no Jutsu (Earth: Ground Shaking Technique)

Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: The user slams their hands against the ground as the user creates a miniature like earthquake in order to try and unbalance the enemy or opponents all around for a more of a deadly like attack.
Special: ---
Drawback: The user's hands must stay upon the ground at all time. When the user is capable of reaching "A" Class the knowledge of placing their hands onto the very ground becomes obsolete, and the user is capable of performing the technique without having their hands along the ground.
Description: As the user slams their hands against the ground, the user is capable of creating a miniature like earthquake along the ground. The ground rumbles lightly as the very earth moves in all directions in a fifteen-meter radius. Every time the user gains ranking in difficulty class the distance of the technique increases by ten meters.
Limit: Needs the Earth Release, Must have knowledge of Doton Soushi no Jutsu (Rock Creation Technique) "D"

[/i] Before the even had the time to formulate a plan, the elderly man was on the offensive, a sleeve of bark and pain speeding in their direction to crush precious life from their bones. Moments to spare, but moments were all that he needed. His words rang out as he placed his hands swiftly into the Rat, becoming the very liquid that filled Ame's skies and gave its name, and he would be unharmed by that of the forest; this arm of pain and bark. "Look out!" was all he had been able to shout before his transformation was completed, a blink of an eye's time, and he fell to the earth unharmed; but could he say the same for his companions? No, he would not complete that descent, but instead crawl up one of those piercing branches, becoming whole again atop the bark arm. From his hand would fly a pouch filled with Marbles.

POW!

As they reached the body of this would be attacker, the pouch would detonate, expelling its contents into the air at frightening speeds. Although this pouch knew no friend or foe, it would not harm his companions, as that very arm of bark would prevent such should they move upward; that was all he could do for them. Even so, they would not die if struck at their distance; perhaps only a slight bruising. The man, however, would find himself riddled with holes, lest he find some way to avoid as well, with that large arm of bark ejecting from his body. Yet Toshiie was not quite finished with this man, he must disrupt that chakra flowing to his hands, as he made those handseals with those lone fingers. Placing his hand upon the bark, which was made of earth and water, the elements of wood, he would press his chakra through. Again would the earth shake, although this earth was a man's arm turned to bark, and perhaps this would buy them the time they would need...[/ul][/ul][/size][/font]

Upon the arrival of our escaped comrade at our location, an old man would present himself within the center of the floor down below us. Words had little success breaking free from thin lips, for almost immediately after our reunion the old man seemed to be on the offensive. His figure lit up, glistened under a bright light and with his enlightenment, an earthen creation would escape his eastern-most appendage. This creation was unlike the golems we faced earlier however, and birthed itself into the form of a very large tree. The tree shot forth, up toward our location and aimed to crush us with the onslaught of dirt like bark and emerald colored leaves.

Unfortunately, the old man's attack would never find its' mark. From the moment I entered the area, I became to recognize it as my own backyard. Anything that came my way, albeit the deadliest blow or the most gentle of taps, I was aware of. And as such, the tree served as no threat to my countenance, as a chakra fueled leap would carry me over and away from my previous location.

Whilst in the air, both my masterful appendages would come together to perform an elegant dance of zodiac, of which would render the old man unable to move, apprehended by the most deadliest of snakes, and paralyzed by an ethereal fear. If the shaking of the bark rattled the man in any way, nothing would come of his hidden hand seals, for serpent's fangs would be at his neck. And if not, whatever came to fruition would be thwarted, for the man would still find himself sweating from the snake's breath, and trapped under the serpent's maw.

And from my aerial kingdom did the rat stay within my grasp. Hopefully, those who accompanied would seize the opportunity and incapacitate the old man.

Effect: Becoming more aware of their surroundings the user is unable to be caught flat footed or be flanked.
Special: ---
Drawback: The user may only learn this technique by the class that they are. This means that in order to learn the "C" Rank version they must be "C" Class, if they wish to learn the "B" Rank version they must be "B" Class.
Description: Training to heighten their senses in the heat of combat, the Senbon Taitoku user under goes training to become more prepared then ever. They slowly become aware of their surroundings on the battle field, to the point they become similar with it like their own back yard. With this natural sense of their surroundings the user can't be caught flat footed or be flanked. Which means if the user was walking down the road minding their business, and a ambush party burst out from the bushes. The user wouldn't be caught of guard and would most likely except it, and will sense someone was coming up from behind to attack and will act quickly and either attack first or get out the way. This works on whenever they are being attacked. This technique however has a major flaw. The user is capable of dodging only whenever the opponent's class is equal or lower to that of the rank of the technique they know. This means that a "D" Class user that knows this technique can not use this against an opponent that is "C" Class or higher.
Limit: Must be a Senbon Taitoku user

Magen: Hebi Hyoushi no Jutsu (Demonic Illusion: Snake Binding Technique)

Skill: Genjutsu
Effect: An illusionary snake bursts from underneath the opponent’s feet and quickly coils itself around the opponent before ending with it’s’ mouth open right underneath the neck of the opponent.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: The user must hold the Ram handseal for the duration of the jutsu.
Description: The user performs the handseals, ending with holding the Snake handseal. Without warning and sound, an illusionary snake appears underneath the opponent’s feet and rapidly coils around the opponent before ending with its’ open mouth poised right over the opponent has exposed neck. This jutsu is used to prohibit the opponent’s movement and to induce a large amount of fear in the opponent.
Limit: Must know Phantasm Perception

Indeed, one must always carry the intention to kill during such a dangerous mission. Evading the surprise attack with grace, the Uchiha would emerge unharmed and cast his deadly illusion. Not expecting this, the man is caught up in it and is thus distracted by the deadly snake, poised to strike right before him. This lets the Doton technique by Toshiie to be quite effective, further giving your team more time to attack. The marble pouch would burst, exploding with its contents shooting out at high speeds. Indeed, your foe takes the brunt of the damage. A well coordinated attack would naturally have such a result. However, he is not dead. With the desperate scream of a beast, he shoots out his other harm, this time shooting out 5 great branches, each not as big as the tree-arm before, but still quite deadly. Two of them aim at each of his attackers, while the last one, also the widest, shoots for the Sansutomu. Only two words need be said. Finish him. And if you can, in the best way possible.

[OOC]Sorry for the UBER late reply, the dudes at head office blocked my access to the forums on the work computers and I still don't have the net up and running at home yet

His companions attacks had seemed to be taking their toll on the man. Before Saitoshi had be able to ready his Raikyuu the mystery man who had appeared seemingly out of nowhere had regained his composure and launched his attack, his arm becoming like the trunk of a tree and swinging down in an arc towards where he and his companions had been standing. Saitoshi leapt backwards falling into a backwards roll to avoid the concussive force of the blow that surely would have crushed him. Half a second too late Saitoshi reacted to the wooden spines that shot out of his trunk-arm, diving backwards out of the roll but still one caught him in the shoulder. It wasn’t a deep wound thanks to his reaction time but it stung and a rage filled Saitoshi.

In the mean time his companions had lauched their own counter attacks. The older boy had again demonstrated his Hamon ability, using it to get himself into position to attack their assailants transformed arm directly while Kamitsuke seemed to have caught him in an Illusionary technique.

Now…

Saitoshi saw the opportunity and charged, gathering his chakra as he did. The mystery attacker raged against his imagined bonds, releasing a scream full of the frenzied rage of a feral beast as his other arm shot out, transforming like the first into a tree appendage. Branches shot out, seeking out his team.

Enough.

Saitoshi waited on the branch, allowing it to get as close as he could and then…

Boar, Rat, Monkey, Horse, Serpent, Hare, Rat, Dragon, Ram, Horse, Dog, Monkey.

He formed the hand seals and released his chakra. A solid wall of swirling, gale force winds and heavy mist formed in front of Saitoshi and he quickly dodged to the left and leapt up into the air. Saitoshi didn’t know if the wall would be strong enough to block the branch, but he didn’t need it to. This ‘dryad’ shouldn’t be able to see through the wall, so after changing his position to get out of the way of the attack Saitoshi launched his own. Looking through the rain wall with his Fuukamanako Saitoshi zeroed in on his objective, the tree man. Channelling his chakra through his hand, Saitoshi formed a lightning bolt and launched it through his Ame Kabe. As his mother had told him, Raiton techniques pass right through the rain wall unaffected but this time that was exactly what Saitoshi wanted it to do. The man wouldn’t be able to see it coming until the last minute because of the Ame Kabe and that would make the attack hard to dodge.

The deadly spear of pure energy streaked towards it target…

Effect: Using their Kekkai Genkai abilities the user manipulates both wind and Water to form a thick mist-like wall of water and swirling gale force winds. This wall can block up to one C-rank ninjutsu or taijutsu before dissipating. It can also block most, if not all, D-rank physical substance attacks [ Kunai, Shuriken e.t.c] However, this wall cannot block any ninjutsu utilizing the Raiton release as they pass right through. This wall is ten meters by ten meters.

Description: Forming the necessary hand seals and utilizing their unique Kekkai Genkai the user forms a thick mist-like wall of swirling water and gale force winds. This wall stands tall and resolute, a testament to the immovable stoic nature of the Sansutomu blood limit.

Description: By focusing chakra in the center of the palm the use is able to send lightning from the center of the palm to make a three foot long lightning bolt in their hand which is able to be thrown like a javelin.
Limit: Lightning Release Skill (Raiton no Jutsu).

With the death of the old man, by Toshiie's monstrous blade, and Saitoshi's bolt of lightning, the branches would probably fall short of their targets. If not however, the two headed for the Uchiha would inevitably miss, as they were propelled toward him whilst he was within the air. He lacked the power to fly, or float for that matter, and gravity would grasp itself around his figure. His descent would cause the branches to miss, but in case they didn't, a quick set of seals would be performed as he released a small gout of flame toward the sky, giving him a slight boost back to gaia.

Fire Style: Inferno Technique

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Shoots small gout of flame towards the opponent.
Special: Ox, Monkey, Rabbit, Tiger
Drawback: Requires the user to exhale and keep their dominant hand cupped over their mouths. Once the user is out of breath of moves their hand, the technique falls.
Description: The user performs the handseals, energizing their hand and their esophagus with chakra. The user then cups their hand over their lips and exhales. The oxygen being expelled from the lungs combusts upon reaching the chakra from the hand, and the user blows it out a maximum of ten feet away. This is different from the Goukakyou no Jutsu in the fact that this comes out as a stream and not a fireball, and also different from the fact that once the user stops breathing out or moves their hand, the technique ends.
Limit: Fire Release

The three would perform their own reactions against the man's final attack before he expired. Indeed, he had hit them at the same time. What each of them did to him would not protect either of the other two. As such, the rash Kaguya, who did deal the final blow, was also dealt the harshest result, a bloody gash to the side (critical hit, you ignored it, so yeah). To the man's despair, it would not be enough to kill one with such a powerful bloodline. As lightning streaked his being, and his body would be carved apart, he felt a blank feeling coming onto him. Was this death? Or simply release? The role he had played all these years was finally over. Now it was up to him.
