Calm from the fighting, Jiro turned of the main road into the backstreet his home was on. A ground level apartment behind a bar. Did I say backstreet. I meant alley. Trash accumulated near his door and the smell never got better when the trash was gone.

Some nights Jiro would hear fights and lustful acts just outside the single grimy window he had.But inside was immaculate. Like you had stepped into another part of town. Reaching into his garb he pulled out the key and took a peek around. He dared anyone to kick in his door. He would pause after unlocking the door, sighing as he gripped the doorknob.

[Runesaka]

He couldn't help but grab a drink at his favorite bar. Alcoholic no just a thing he did he killed four of the six intruders. So he would have four drinks in honor of the fallen. It was the least he could do after all. As he left the bar he passed an alley that he used as a shortcut. There in the alley was one of the ninja from the streets. He would approach him as it looked like was about to settle and say," Pardon me but i'd like formally introduce myself. My name is Dakira we worked together to defend the village awhile ago." Faced naked now coved by a mask then and extra arms hidden by his jacket.

As he was about to open his door, a bar-goer turned into the alley and walked up to Jiro. He was confused as the voice seemed familiar coupled with the fact that he just came out from the bar. Then it hit him.

"Oh, You're the ANBU from the radio." Jiro said to Dakira. Finally having a face to the voice he heard. "Excuse me..."

Jiro turned to his door and relocked it. He turned back to Dakira. "Up top."He motioned for him to follow him to the roof of the apartment. With a swift jump he would be atop short building with a good view limited by some of the other establishments nearby.

"Crazy day, huh?"

[Runesaka]

He would jump on top of the roof and stand next to Jiro. Taking a look at the surrounding buildings it wasn't a bad location. In fact he used to live in this area when he first started out. Looking at Jiro he would say," Crazy isn't the half of it... I was suppose to be off of today. O well the overtime is good pay. Those guys weren't much anyway... nice fighting by way..... I could use a guy like you on my team. Flicking his lighter on and off repeatedly.

A smirk crossed his face as he was complemented defeating the an attacker during the crisis. he looked out over the view with the disaster area far off in the distance.

"Well.. You might be looking for a genin if your talking about a team. Cuz I got chuunin from the recent exams. And for ANBU, I'm just not ready yet."

Jiro knew that ANBU outranks chuunin ninja. He might have been asking for his help on an ANBU operation. Jiro though about what they do and if he could fit into the mold of elites that made up ANBU.

[Runesaka]

He stopped flicking his lighter for a moment and put it up. " Don't sell yourself short man.... you have potential if you didn't you wouldn't have made it this far." He paused to take his jacket off for a moment to stretch his arms. "The team i was speaking off was for a mission i was thinking of taking. Anyone I've known is long dead sadly... your kind of the first person I've talked to in go while. I was always into my training never really made friends. Not that tried hahaha. I'll tell that rookie year is harsh."

Dakira reassured him that he could do it. Even though Jiro knew nothing of the mission at hand, it piqued his interest. Especially that he wanted him to go. The sun began to set behind the village walls and surrounding forests. The bright sunlight which he spilled blood under turned to a vibrant orange.

"It sounds interesting... I have a lot ahead of me, chuunin duties and all that. Tell me about what you have in mind for the mission?"

[Yamashita]

Shiro wandered down the alley, the smells of filth entered his nose, making him slightly nauseous. The genin walked through quickly, trying to get home the quickest way possible. He felt completely useless, having not had the power to do anything except put out a small fire with a smoke grenade during the attack on the village. Suddenly his thoughts were disturbed by the sound of people talking from above.

"Great, now I am hearing voices... maybe I inhaled to much smoke or something." He said to himself. The wind blew and he gagged a bit, the smell was quite strong tonight. He climbed the building nearest to him, and saw that he was behind to other ninja talking about a mission of some kind. He made his way a little closer, trying not to make a sound. finally at about five feet away, he spoke up.

"Umm... heya... I am glad I found you, it means I am not hearing voices. Therefore I am not hallucinating from smoke inhalation, which is good news to me." He said, nervously laughing. He really hoped these two were in a good mood cause he didn't want to be clobbered at night, on a rooftop.

[Runesaka]

"Theres a small minor village across the mountains on the other side of the country. The village is under attack constantly by a group of unknown bandits. They've been rumored to have a couple nuke nin members. They usually come in a group of seven or so and attack once a month. This villages has been devastated and its time we've extended a helping hand. Its a B ranked mission and i would rather like to have some help. So what do you say ......" He paused, "Don't come a step closer! Speak your name and what business you have here NOW!" He disliked people intruding on his conversations especially someone he didn't know.

[Yamashita]

"S-s-s-sir! The name is Yamashita Shiro, but most people call me just Shiro. I recently returned from training and came upon the village under attack. I did my small part and then laid low until the village was brought back to peace." He said all in one breath.

"I also am here because I had to get out of the smell of the alley, and I thought I was hearing voices but I saw it was you two and not my imagination." He finally exhaled deeply. He shifted from one foot to another, nervous that he was about to die at the hands of these two, powerful shinobi.

"I heard all about the mission you were talking about.. and I am sorry for eavesdropping, but I hope you wont kill me! I want to become stronger before i die!" He said in a hoarse whisper before falling silent and staring at the two.

"A village attacked by bandits and nuke-nin." He repeated. His senses picked up the intruder behind them as Dakira ordered him to come out. A genin stumbled out and explained his predicament.

"You picked a great time to be doing that, kid. Especially after the attack."

Jiro sighed and thought about the situation. "So green, I swear. You're coming with us since you've overheard everything. You need the experience."

Jiro turned back to Dakira. "I'm in. I'll find us a medic too. Besides that, I just have a few errands to take care of. I'll be ready to leave the day after." Darkness had fallen over the village as the night was lit up by the many rattled citizens and fellow ninja of Mist village.

[Runesaka]

" Shiro was it get yourself a communicator device and be ready to go. Jiro your gonna go far in this business just don't travel alone often. But thats a story for another time both you I'll meet you at whats left of the gates. I'll swing by another time." He put his jacket back on and shot a web out off his mouth. He would separate the 20 meter web from his mouth and swing back to his house to check the damage done to district. Exit

Jiro would haphazardly walk off the side of the building landing in front of his door.

Shiro sat there, mouth ajar. "I am going on a mission with a group of powerful ninja? And its B ranked? This is cool!" he said before heading to the store.

The summer was upon the outskirts of the village as the street near Jiro's home was packed with the regulars. The shady characters prowled the street looking for action. BUt they knew whom not to mess with. Jiro had been back for a while and was enjoying a few steamed buns on the flat roof above his apartment. It was around 5pm, the sun was still bright above the village as he sat on the edge of the roof.

Jiro had changed back into his regular attire. Ninja garb, headband and chuunin vest. and short sleeved shirt under it. He knew word would get around that he had come back. And the few who knew where Jiro lived would at least stop by sometime soon.

Toru wandered the streets, exploring the areas of his village he had never seen. It was strange that he could be considered a chuunin, yet still find places he didn't recognize. With his eidetic memory, he knew that he would remember everywhere he's ever been, which meant that he had never laid eyes on this street. What kind of chuunin didn't know his village like the back of his hand? Since he seemed to be failing his chuunin duties, he figured he might as well do something to feel productive.

There was nothing overly special about this place, aside from the permeating smell that threatened to singe his hair. The last mission, he had let his annoyance over his team get in the way of doing what he had to do. That kind of personal failure wasn't acceptable, and he would certainly lose face if anybody recognized him. Sooner or later, he'd find a way to fix his mistake, but for now, he spied a familiar shape on the roof.

Slipping into the nearest alleyway, holding his breath for fear of whatever was causing that smell getting in his lungs, he made sure nobody could see him before he applied chakra to his feet and scaled the small building. His attire was different from the last time Jiro saw him; his flytrap was long gone, his hair was cut short, he too sported a black flak jacket, and his general attire appeared much more functional that before. There was no worry of not being recognized, since he was the only person in the village with his skin colors, so he took a seat next to Jiro with a sigh.

"Long time no see, Jiro. Although, I didn't expect to see you in a place like this."

Jiro's eyes shifted when the sound of footsteps seemed to come closer but from the street level. A person appeared on the roof it was familiar but missing something. The black/white pattern was of Toru but missing that huge thing around his upper body.

"Toru?" Jiro said as he sat down finally piecing it together as him.

He was surprised to see Jiro back here and living in this dump. "It's been a long time, indeed." He picked up the bamboo steamer and held it up offering Toru a steamed bun. "I've been gone for what seemed like months. How have things been here?"

[Molokai]

Toru accepted the bun and eyed in pensively. Since abandoning his flytrap, he found himself able to stomach a wider array of food items, and generally found himself feeling more human. Even though he still didn't feel much, there have been a few times where he could almost say he did. Along with his near-human experience came a sudden desire to eat things other than humans, and it was that desire that allowed him to take a bite of the soft bun.

It was interesting that Jiro had been gone, leaving Toru as the only competent chuunin in the village, and it raised the question as to where he even went. The prospect of leaving for personal matters hadn't occurred to him since he had his legs crushed. Maybe there was a slight bit of fear, but since Toru honestly didn't know how to identify that feeling, he wasn't so sure. Maybe it was time to take his own leave, and let Jiro take the reigns as active chuunin of mist village.

All of this contemplation led him back to Jiro's inquiry, "All that's happened since you've been gone are a group of ex-ANBU going missing. I was the only competent chuunin hanging around, and it was up to me to juggle three foreigners, a missing Uchiha, and some guy who could barely talk. During the fiasco, the Uchiha got away and we lost two more. I've got a plan, though, and once Gekkido gets back I can put it into motion. Speaking of which, where did you go anyway?"

Jiro placed the steamer on it's base after Toru took a bun. Jiro took one himself as Toru explained the recent goings on. With Gekkido out of the country, Toru was the only chuunin around besides himself. With the short-handedness, they ex-ANBU got away. A full plate was placed in front of Jiro.

"Oh, I was just with Gekkido and Mika in The Land of Waves. We're searching for the Sword Saint, Yang Sze. We trained there for a while but I decided to head back. Gekkido is still there but we know he can handle himself."

He thought about what he could do. "Who exactly went missing? Anyone we know?"

[Molokai]

The land of waves? Whoever this Sword Saint guy is, he'd better be worth the trip. Judging by his name, he seems like an epic individual, so it stood to reason that he'd be worth searching for. The question arose as to who in the world this Mika person was, but Toru decided it was irrelevant and moved on to Jiro's next question.

"The first was Naga, an Uchiha and ANBU Captain. Once he escaped, another pair also defected. Guess he made them feel brave."
