A Quick Intermission!

In celebration of the thirteenth page of training in this thread; I've found it prudent to have a special post dedicated to the masters/plot movers of 'Time to Train' the official training thread of Amarante. Please enjoy:

Personality:
A man shrouded in mystery, Uchiha is at all times cool, calm and collected. His demenour almost never sways except at times when Amarante throws a hissy fit or decides to just generally be fussy. He speak kindly though if threatened will quickly threaten whomever made the threats back quickly. Intellegent; Uchiha is by far the smartest person in the room at all times, there is no one more knowledgeable. He can quickly see through deception and is much more observant than the ordinary person though despite all of these qualities Uchiha is scared from the images that plague his memory from his youth where he witnessed some of the most grusome acts of man kind and as such he is a pacifist.

Appearance:
Despite a very powerful shinobi, his appearance was not the most intimidating, apart from the intensity of his gaze. He has dark eyes, black hair that hung near his cheeks to frame his face and keeps the rest of it in a ponytail; which is obscured by the high collar of the black cloak he wears. In regard to the cloak he wears clothes underneath it consisting of a blue v-neck T-shirt and blue pants with a body mesh under the T-shirt, and a white sash around his waist on the outside of the shirt much like a tunic.

Effect: The user channels a little chakra in a kunai to make it point towards north.
Special: Bird and dragon.
Drawback: Have to know how to use a real compass, or else, the jutsu will be useless.
Description: By using the magnetic forces in the earth, a shinobi can use it to their advantage if they are lost. They lay a kunai on the ground, and channel a little chakra in it. The blade will then point towards the north, while the handle will point to south. This jutsu can be extremely useful when lost or if you don’t have a compass to use.
Limit: Has to know lightning release.

"Amarante come over here" Uchiha asked of his beloved student whom was still recovering after an intense session of Fire jutsu training. He was currently fiddling with a kunai that he just happened to have in his possession, actually he had a lot of them on his person, he just kept them stowed away. "What is it?" Amarante asked as she approached him by Uchiha's instruction. Slipping the kunai through his fingers the blade dropped to the ground and he proceeded to explain what he was about to do. "Tel me Amarante do you have a compass?" he asked, Amarante shook her head no. "Well then..." Uchiha then trailed off as he placed his finger on the kunai. "You best watch and learn" he continued as his left hand flipped through some one handed hand signs as his right continued to touch onto the kunai. At his whim a small electrical charge then filled the kunai as it spun to face a different direction. "This is the kunai compass technique" Uchiha explained as he removed his hand from the dagger. "By charging the kunai with a weak electric current the blade becomes magnetized and points north via the tip of the blade, a useful technique."

Amarante agreed it was a useful technique, very useful. She pulled out a kunai of her own from her butt bag and decided to give it a shot after Uchiha flipped through the hand signs so she could memorize them, problem was however that her hands wouldn't move properly. She was exhausted and her fingers wouldn't do the things she wanted them to do so she had to practice as Uchiha looked on a little worried. It was simple all she needed to do was form the bird and then the dragon hand sign but it was harder than one would think. She had to move her fingers into a pyramid shape to start off with but her fingers were just too tired, her excessive usage of the appendages today was just wearing them out. With a little work, hardly anything to call work or even effort though, she managed to form it and then she moved onto the dragon, which was similar to the bird hand sign though it was on its side, it was actually rather easy to shift to. It took mere seconds but Amarante managed to get her fingers to remember how to form them and she practiced with the two hand signs, shifting between them, for a few more seconds before trying to move onto the jutsu.

When she did move onto the jutsu however she formed the hand signs quickly and then placed her hand on her kunai, pushing her electrically built up chakra into the blade and charging it. The blade however remained stationary didn't shift like she wanted it to, like Uchiha's had, and she wondered what was up. She removed her hand and then touched the blade once more to see if it was charged as a spark of electricity broke out from the blade between her fingers and the steel. This confused her. It meant that the blade was charged with electricity however it just wasn't magnetizing for some reason. She thought that perhaps she wasn't adding enough chakra to the mix to allow the blade to shift and so she reformed the hand signs and built up her chakra to a larger proportion and jammed it into the kunai with as much possible electricity as she could to see if that would work but the kunai remained stationary once again and didn't shift at all. It just stayed still and even as she removed her hand, not one little bit of directional change so she touched the blade, stupidly, and felt a lot of electrical energy enter her body though it only added to her power as she had mastered the art already so it wasn't a big deal.

"Now come one!" Amarante boomed in anger. She was angry that the jutsu wasn't working so for a third time she formed the hand signs and built up her chakra, focusing it into her hand. She then touched the kunai blade and released it into the steel as for some reason the blade began to shift and face the direction that Uchiha's kunai was. Surprised Amarante realised that she had managed to perform the jutsu correctly and had made a compass out of her kunai. Happy she pulled out her second and tried it again just to make sure that she really did know how to do it and ensure that it wasn't a one off thing. She formed both of the hand signs and began to focus chakra in her hand again, building up an electric charge. She then touched this second kunai and watched as it slowly began to point north like the kunai before it. Amarante was so happy that she performed this jutsu once again with the first kunai after it had become stagnant again and formed the hand signs for a sixth time and built up her chakra, touching the blade once again. She purposely pointed it south and watched as it performed a one-eighty degree spin and face north. She then got bored and picked both kunai up and pocketed them. She could only focus for so long.

Suiton: Koushou Suiro no Jutsu (Advanced Water Prison)

Effect: Traps the opponent within the Suiro no Jutsu without the needed effect of having one’s hands stuck within the technique.
Special: Handseals
Description: The user creates a large amount of water around the opponent’s feet that spreads upwards rapidly. The movement upwards is so rapid that escaping from it is next to impossible. Once trapped inside the water, the same rules of Suiro no Jutsu applies to the one trapped- the user is unable to move beyond a few centimeters inside of the water. The user must hold the Tiger seal for the prison to stay intact- however, they are capable of moving around and doing anything that doesn’t break the seal.

It appeared as though the great Hoshigaki was getting jealous of the time that Uchiha and Amarante were spending together so after a quick lunch he took Amarante aside to the river and began to instruct her on the beginnings of a new technique. "Now then Amarante; I know that you've been training with Uchiha all day today but I'm going to begin teaching you a water technique right now, one that you're not going to be able to master by the end of the day but one that you'll be able to get a grasp of at the beginning phases of training today" he explained to Amarante whom wasn't properly paying attention. A quick blow to the head solved this problem though and training began for the Water Style technique: Advanced Water Prison.

"Now watch and learn little one, this is going to be a variation of a technique you already know but it'll make the technique much more versatile" he exclaimed as he threw together a string of hand signs. At his command her then released the chakra he built up and pushed it out into the air around Amarante, water forming from the vapour, and in what seemed to be an instant he trapped Amarante in a liquid cage that felt as though it were steel. Amarante was unable to move and in an instant she recognised the technique as her water prison jutsu though there were a lot of differences. It appeared as though this variation allowed the user to trap the target from a distance, without the need of contact with the water ball.

It also appeared as though the hand signs were different from this technique; the string was longer and more complex. It was indeed a higher ranking jutsu due to the hand string number. "Now watch my hands" Hoshigaki stated as he released Amarante from the bind. He slowly went through the seal so that Amarante could watch and learn them but her hands were tired and her body suffering from fatigue at this point. It was as if trying to get an ADHD student to pay attention in class, possible but it took a lot longer than one would like. She tried her best though and she flipped through a short series. "Sorry Amarante but that's wrong, watch more closely" he ushered of his student as Amarante once again tried to form the hand signs.

She slowly formed them alongside Hoshigaki and for a few series Amarante was able to match Hoshigaki but that wasn't all that was needed. At the moment she was still relying on Hoshigaki's guidance to remember the hand signs and the rate at which she formed them was indeed rather slow. It was far from being battle worthy. She was forced to remove Hoshigaki from the picture and she attempted to go through them again on her own, this time slow, a shame considering that up to this point she had been rather remarkable remembering hand signs. She formed them one after the other, difficult to remember at first but because of her repetitive motion she was able to pick it up again.

In no time at all she was flipping through the seals as if it were second nature to her and the first stage of training the ninjutsu was complete.

Hand signs were nailed so now it was time for Amarante to start on actually forming the technique, a task more easily said than done. She was so drained from the rest of her training today, it took a lot out of her chakra levels and also a lot out of her body. She pushed through her exhaustion however as she was content with only beginning to learn the technique today, tomorrow can be the day she masters it. She flipped through the hand signs with haste and began to push the chakra from her body. Her chakra then began to mingle with the water by the lake, trying to draw water from the air with this technique could wait as it was more difficult. The water began to ripple under Amarante's influence and it began to dribble up and out of the water though before it could even be formed into any sort of sphere it slipped back into the river and her jutsu collapsed.

"Well now, isn't this just reminiscent of the first time we met" the Great Hoshigaki referring to her failing attempt at the Water Shark Bomb Jutsu. This really ticked Amarante off as she felt a little embarrassed in comparison to the great man, he was a lot stronger than she was but she was determined to catch him. With bitterness mixed in with her resolve she flipped through the hand signs and built up her chakra, this time more slowly than her last attempt. She wanted to at the very least create a sphere with this attempt, save her some pride. Her chakra began to grow thick in her chakra viens, almost growing hot. Her chakra network began to swell with it's energy yet not as much as it would swell with a technique such as the chidori, that was a jutsu on a whole other level and she had perfected an even higher ranking version of that one. Her chakra moved through her body at an almost infinite speed yet she controlled it with near perfect ability.

The chakra she built up she tried to mould as if she was using the water prison technique though the extended hand signs that she was using made her wonder just how similar the chakra had to be, it was difficult to determine but it had a definite water prison feel to it anyway. She pushed the chakra she had built up it the air and into the water, the chakra beginning to meld with the liquid once again as she bent it to her will. The water began to bubble under the weight of Amarante's chakra yet it wasn't progressing as she would have liked it. It was dragging out much more than she wanted, it wasn't moving as quickly as she thought it would. The water then lifted itself out of the water but then it fell right back in, not going much further than her first attempt, and her hopes of creating a sphere were dashed as Hoshigaki sighed. He wasn't at all surprised but he felt as if he did stuff like that that it would help Amarante progress, her temper driving her on.

As if by design Amarante's temper of course got the better of her and any thoughts of putting this jutsu off until tomorrow left her mind. She was going to do this jutsu right here, right now! She built up her chakra with haste, not even waiting until she had formed the hand signs, and began to meld it to her designs, only bothering to flip through the hand signs after an agitated grunt to Hoshigaki's attitude. She flipped through them pretty fast, hardly letting the chakra mould into form as she went and then she released her chakra out into the water, vigorously altering its calm outline and causing it to swell in a single location. She forced to water to rise up out of its place and watched on as it lifted a large amount of water from the river. It was about the size of a meter of area cubed but it wouldn't last as it quickly fell into the river once again, causing a small wave to break upon the shoreline.

Amarante was really beginning to lose it, despite only just now getting angry. The water had always been her friend, it protected her of its own free will, and yet it wouldn't even create a sphere today at her whim. It was almost like it had betrayed her. No, that couldn't be it, she decided as she built up her chakra once again. It wasn't the water's fault, it was her! She came to that conclusion on her own. You see, water is calm and flowing, only by external means is it thrashing and fast paced, but she was forcing it to be something it wasn't, that's why it wasn't working like she wanted. She had to calm down she figured as she flipped through another set of hand signs. This time as she built up her chakra she took her time and this time she didn't try and mimic the water prison technique, she just let the chakra flow like a calm river.

She then pushed the chakra up and out of her body when she had finished moulding it to her whims, her ideal of what she thought would work. The chakra then sunk into the water and like colored flavoring it began to cause the water to grow thicker and Amarante tried lifting it out of the water with her ability. Slowly but surely the water dripped out from the river as it swirled around in the air. Amarante then tried her best to create a sphere with it and began to compress the water into a single space. She tried and tried and although it took a while she was able to create a sphere like shape however there was just one little problem. The sphere was only about thirty centimeters in diameter. "Not complete but it means I'm on my way!" Amarante exclaimed as Hoshigaki watched on, a smile on his face.

With a renewed vigour Amarante once again flipped through a short series of hand signs, confident that she'd be able to create a larger version of the water prison soon, very soon. She had only to trust in the water. She began to build and mould her chakra, like an artist working with clay, focusing intently so that she could get the exact proportions right but to this point she didn't have any idea just what those proportions were. She was forced to take a shot in the dark and when she believed herself to be ready she began to quickly expel the chakra from her body and thrust it over and into the water, covering a large area with her her powers, mixing it in deeply and feeling it as her chakra began to cause the water to swell.

The water began to slowly spike up out of the water and peel into a single area. It began to take shape and as if pouring water into a glass it began to fill up and up into a larger ball of liquid although this time it only had about the diameter of fifty centimetres, a fair way off of a prison that could trap a human. That had to at least be a water sphere of two meters in diameter and even then if a man was tall, like Hoshigaki, then even that wouldn't be large enough to trap them. She let the jutsu drop and she began to form another series of hand seals, once again building up her chakra, focusing it throughout her body and moulding it to her whim until she felt something click inside of her.

It was the kind of click that just told you instinctively that you were onto something and so she ran with it, building up her chakra just a little more before expelling it from her body and pushing it over the river, dropping it into the water causing it to become thick and then she began to shape it to her whim. She caused the water to rise up and meld into a sphere, slowly but surely her will being completed. The water speared into a single space and soon it formed into a prison of decent size but still not large enough. The sphere now had a diameter of a little under a meter and a half, large enough to trap some of the smaller shinobi in its grasp but still not yet adequate to trap an adult shinobi. It still needed more work.

Closer and closer, Amarante began to edge even closer to being able to utilise this very useful technique, she only hoped that her body would be able to take a little more punishment as she was beginning to fatigue. It wasn't too much of a problem however, she still had all day tomorrow to learn the technique, today was just bragging rights. She of course flipped through the hand signs for the jutsu once again after letting the last attempt drop and she built up her chakra, Hoshigaki looking on as he began to grow tired of watching her repeated attempts. Slowly but surely she focused just on what she had touched on in the last attempt at the jutsu, she focused on that feeling and tried to replicate it. It was a fleeting feeling and when she touched it for a second time she felt it slip away from her, her reach just not quite able to grasp it.

Instead of releasing her chakra for the technique she reformed the hand signs and once again began to build her chakra, she wanted to get this feeling. She wanted to grasp it and she built up her chakra once again, letting it flow throughout her body as if itself were a gently rolling river. She began to feel that feel she had been feeling (XD) and she chased it, gently at first so that it wouldn't slip through her fingers again but it did. She chased after it, panicking a little and increasing the intensity of her chakra within her and almost immediately she felt it come back to her, she felt it intensify, and she fully comprehended the chakra feeling. The chakra she needed to build up needed to be more intense, it needed to be hard and heavy, it was essenssial for the jutsu, the prison technique reminiscent of the action.

She continued to build on this chakra, piling more and more of it on top of itself and creating a very large amount of energy before she finally let it leave her body. When she did let it leave her form she did so in a burst, she did so very quickly and she pretty much just smashed it inot the water, almost rushing the jutsu to create a binding sphere of water around an area of space, nowhere in particular. The river water surged from its calm resting place in the river and began to splurge into a single area, once again like a cup or bowl filling with water, it quickly made a sphere of larger proportions than the last one. This time the sphere was of about two and a half meters in diameter through to three meters, she didn't exactly know. What she did know though was that it was now large enough to catch the Great Hoshigaki. She was getting closer.

The Great Hoshigaki was now rather impressed with her abilities, he never thought that she would be able to reach a point this far today after the intense training she had done earlier. It was a moot point however as she had and now it was time for her to move onto the next thing. "Alright Amarante now I want you to trap me in your prison" he informed her, Amarante instantly picking up on the reason why. It wouldn't be much of a prison if it was easy to break out of so she formed the techniques hand signs and began to build up her chakra. She found that it was now second nature for her to begin to build up the correct chakra type now and she was confident in her abilities. She built up more chakra this time than her last, choosing to do it correctly rather than quickly, she was still learning the jutsu after all, speed could wait.

She pushed the chakra out from her body and into the river's water, the water twisting and turning up out of its roots in the water body and spilling over to the Great Hoshigaki. It struck his form and began to form a sphere of entrapping water, lifting him off of the ground and attempting to bind him in steel water. It swishedf around his form and then locked itself into position to which end Amarante held the final hand signs and waited to see just how she went. The Great Hoshigaki sighed in his watery confines and brought a hand to his head, the water not hindering him one bit. "Try again" he grunted as Amarant let the jutsu drop. She was a little disappointed that she wasn't able to trap him properly and pondered on just what she could do to help trap him in place. She wondered just what would give the jutsu its steel like binding effect and came to a quick conclusion. Pressure. Water pressure could trap someone in place, an example of which would be the bottom of the ocean. The water pressure there would completely render one immobile so what she had to do was replicate something like that.

She figured that she would just take a larger amount of water and push it into a smaller space and she formed the hand signs again, almost stumbling due to her fatigue, and began to build her chakra, the girl feeling a slight burn as she did so. She felt that burn because her reserves were beginning to go under some strain, she began to feel as though she was reaching the end zone of her power. Her body ached but she kept on trucking, she built up more and more chakra until she felt as though she was unable to keep going and she pushed it out from her body and into the water, drawing up as much of it as she could and throwing it over to the Great Hoshigaki. She crashed the water into his form and began to create a sphere with her powers; attempting to bind him in place. The man really felt that he had been hit with a large amount of water but when he looked the sphere was just the same size as the last one he was trapped in, no noticeable change in size.

He then tried to move, lifting his hand to his brow once again. This time it was very difficult for him to do so but he still was able of moving and he did indeed touch his forehead. "Closer Amarante but you're not there yet!" the man called as Amarante dropped the jutsu. Her hands collapsed in front of her and Hoshigaki's eyes narrowed. It was becoming clear that she was at her limits but there was a thought in the back of his head. The same thought that was in the back of Uchiha's as the shadowy man appeared on the scene, hidden to Amarante yet revealing himself to Hoshigaki. There was something that they might need to talk about with each other.

Amarante was feeling the taste of fatigue, she was beginning to sweat an enormous amount but she couldn't let herself rest yet, she had to get out just a little more. She was so close. She formed the hand signs, forcing herself to make each individual seal and build up her chakra. She felt as though her body was giving out first rather than her chakra, it was weird as this technique was ninjutsu, it should be more chakra based. She pushed the thought to the back of her mind though and began to build it up further, more and more chakra began to compile in her body until she decided it was enough and pushed it out of her body and into the water of the river, causing it to become thick and then with all her might she forced the chakra infused water up and out of the river and send it baring down on Hoshigaki's position.

The water began to circle the great man and caused a sphere to form around his body, one that hopefully would have trapped the man in place though Amarante didn't get her hopes up. The Great Hoshigaki decided to test her prison out and tried to move his hands. For the life of him he couldn't and Amarante found herself staring at success. It was a victory, a minor victory, but a victory.

As Amarante held the jutsu together the Great Hoshigaki began to take her mastery of the jutsu seriously and he broke through it with an utmost of ease, his muscles tearing through the steel water quite easily. Amarante didn't miss a beat and before she allowed herself to be overcome with emotion and exhaustion. She flipped through the hand signs as fast as she could and she fought through the burning sensation of the chakra drain, oh how it burnt her at this point. It was if there were a fire inside her, a fire that just ate away at her insides and made her feel beyond weak but she couldn’t rest, not now. She felt a small burst of chakra inside her, though where it came from was a mystery to her, and she used it. She used it as if it were a cheap hooker she met on a side walk and she forced the entirety of her chakra out of her body, into the river, swelling up the water and causing it to grow thick.

With her powers she began to lift it from the water but not all at once, she slowly used her abilities to pull it out as if it were thread. Slowly but surely water began to rise from the lake as Amarante forced it into the direction of the Great Hoshigaki. This jutsu attempt was considerably slower than the others but she wasn’t going for speed, she was going for correctness in this attempt, speed always came later. The water slowly stretched out of the river and crept over to the Great Hoshigaki and when it got close enough Amarante began to shift it into a shape. The shape of course was a sphere which would serve as the prison. A prison ball of water, it reminded her of an unwanted memory she had but that was another story. One she despised.

The sphere began to fill up and encircle Hoshigaki’s form though before it could fully engulf him Amarante began to feel her consciousness leave her but with a quick and forceful open of her eyes and a shake of her head she remained awake and proceeded to finish the sphere but she wasn’t done yet. She had to reinforce the sphere before she could relax, Hoshigaki had been getting out of her prisons with his strength to this point, and she didn’t want that to happen again. She held the final hand sign and pushed more chakra out of her body and set it into the prison. She thickened the prisons confines and made sure that it was as strong as she could possibly make it but was that going to be enough? She would soon know as Hoshigaki began to test the strength of her cage.

Hoshigaki began to try and move in his cage but found that he couldn't. He was about to congratulate his student but she collapsed to the ground before he could, lack of chakra causing her to drop the jutsu. He turned to Uchiha and they shared an unspoken conversation for a few seconds before he proceeded to pull her to her feet. "Get up girl, you're not finished training yet" he coldly stated as he forced her to continue. Amarante was barely awake at this point she felt herself drifting but in her weakened state she was in no position to argue with Hoshigaki and she formed the techniques hand signs once again and began to build the little chakra she had left. It burned, almost painfully, and she felt herself gaining strength yet at the same time losing it. It was a distasteful feeling but she kept drawing it, she didn't know how but she kept drawing it. Chakra began to flow through her body but she couldn't shake the feeling of fainting.

It was enough she gave in however and she forced the chakra out into the river, causing the water to become thick and causing it to rise from the flow. It was moving much faster this time as Amarante really did not give a crap about just how sturdy the prison was. She just wanted this feeling to go away, it was awful. She wanted to rest. The water made its way toward Hoshigaki fairly quickly and consumed his form at which point Amarante somehow managed to set it in place and hold the jutsu together, her semi-conscious form doing its best to keep the jutsu going but her mind was checking out. Hoshigaki of course decided to test out the prison and he tried to move. Surprisingly this prison was up to par with the last one and he found it impossible to move but now the question was - could Amarante maintain this hold.

He waited, he waited and allowed Amarante to maintain the jutsu, the little girl somehow managing to keep the jutsu running but more and more quickly she was beginning to lose it. Soon Hoshigaki found that he was able to move a little and while that meant the jutsu was weakening, she still hadn't let it go yet. A few more minutes passed and the jutsu began to lose its shape, water dripping from the sphere's block but Amarante still did her best. Another few minutes and the jutsu was at a point that it was only half covering Hoshigaki. At this point the giant man spoke up. "Alright Amarante you can drop it now" he allowed and at the words Amarante fell forward, unconscious from exhaustion.

This ability is done by the user closing their eyes and opening their mind's eye in order to see the advanced chakra systems around them. At A rank and above, Sensors no longer need to close their eyes in order to access their mind's eye. The user of this jutsu can only sense those up to the equivalent class rank of the rank they know. (i.e. If the user knows up to B rank in this jutsu they can sense characters of all the way from D to B rank. The basic range of this technique is ten meters.
Limit: Must fulfill all requirements to become Sensor in order to learn this technique.

Amarante was awoken from her slumber by a splash of water to the face. Sh bolted upright to find that Hoshigaki nand Uchiha were standing over her, waiting for her to recover. "Alright now Amarante now that you're exhausted we can move onto the real training" Hoshigkai stated with a big grin, as if he was enjoying Amarante's torture. "What could I possibly learn when I'm in this state?" Amarante questioned of her masters, her body aching from the exhaustion. It was then Uchiha who piped up and began to relay orders. "It is preferred that you learn this next technique in this weakened state" he stated before continuing on to explain everything thing in detail. "Next in line is sensor techniques, techniques that allow you to find hidden enemies in a much more effective manner than your sound ninjutsu currently allows. By being so exhausted in doing this training your senses are dulled to almost being non existent which means as you try this technique being fully recovered you'll naturally be better than you are now, make sense?" Uchiha stated as Amarante listened on, half conscious. "Yeah I guess; how do I do this?" she asked her masters who just smiled and looked at each other. "Just open your minds eye" Uchiha stated as both he and Hoshigaki disappeared into the forest. "Open your minds eye and find us" he then heard Hoshigaki state as Amarante was left on her own.

What was she meant to do though she wondered to herself? How was she meant to do this? She decided upon sitting in a meditative pose and building her chakra. She pushed her chakra out into the area all around her and began to try and sense everything around her. It was difficult to do, she had almost no chakra reserves left but she tried her best anyway. She tried to feel simply the trees at first, closing her eyes and trying to touch them with her chakra but she couldn't feel anything. She couldn't feel the sensation of touch with chakra alone and all she did was waste what little energy she had left but it was all that she could do she figured, she had no idea on how to proceed otherwise. Soon the entire area around her was flooded with her chakra but still she felt nothing and she was beginning to get drowse. She couldn't allow herself to sleep yet however and in an effort to stay awake she grabbed a kunai and stabbed herself in the leg, the pain waking her right up in an instant, before continuing on with what she was doing.

Whenever she felt herself getting sleepy she simply jiggled the kunai around in her leg to wake herself up again but no matter how long she tried nothing seemed to help. "It's not working" she exclaimed through grit teeth only to hear the words of her master directly after saying them. "Chakra is not the answer, open your mind" Uchiha called out from the forest, catching Amarante's ear. Chakra was not the answer? Then what was then? Amarante had no idea but she tried her best to fulfill her masters expectations and so she stopped pulsing her chakra throughout the area and began to focus once again on her surrounding via her other senses. Nothing seemed to work however and instead of making progress she was beginning to think that she was losing ground. The only thing she could feel in the air was her own chakra, it was still lingering around the trees in the area strongly... Too strong in fact. Amarante began to feel something else mixed in with her chakra and she closed her eyes. She could sense her own chakra very clearly, she always could. If she had to describe it as a colour it was a light, bright, crystal blue, the colour of a lightning bolt mixed with water but something seemed odd.

There was something different about Amarante's chakra, there was a different colour mixed in with it. This was was a dark shade of ivory blue, very strong and very powerful. It wasn't her regular chakra, but what was it? She began to trace its origins and found that it came from a space leading away from her which meant that not only wasn't it her regular chakra, it wasn't even hers. Who's chakra could it be she wondered. It was so intense, so powerful. She had no idea that something in this world could ever be so strong, it made her own chakra feel... Well, watered down. She followed its path through her own chakra, it was twisting and turning, twisting and turning, all over the place. It took her a while but she soon found that the chakra was getting stronger around her, it was... So intense at one particular point. It was massive, she had no idea that it was possible for so much chakra to be in one place and within that chakra she found something she didn't expect though wasn't surprised by it. "Eh? You finally found me aye Amarante?" the Great Hoshigaki grinned as he caught onto Amarante's progress. He had been pushing chakra out of his body ever since he went into hiding. She really felt stupid she hadn't felt it before, this was... Monumental.

Finding Hoshigaki's presence was only the first half of the battle though; just because she knew he was in the area didn't mean that she could pinpoint the location and he was moving, slowly albeit but moving all the same. She tried her best to figure out the range, opening her mind to the area around her. All her sense kicked in overdrive. Her hearing doubled in sensitivity, her touch became more sensitive as well, she could taste better, she could smell the wild flowers growing in a stream nearby and although her eyes were now closed, if she were to open them she was sure she'd have a much clearer vision. Not only that but her ability to actually sense the chakra in the air grew to an unbelievable level. She could make out Hoshigaki's chakra in seperate from her own that mixed along with it in the air as she pushed the energy out of her body. It moved as if it were water through the air, invisible to the naked eye but to her she could 'see' it as clear as day. She 'watched' as the edges of her own chakra and Hoshigaki's mingled with one another though it appeared as though her own chakra was being overwhelmed by Hoshigaki's ferocity. His intense chakra swallowed up Amarante's own and almost digested it as it intertwined with her own but that was most likely because she herself had not pushed as much into the air; she was still exhausted from the training earlier but she understood completely why she had to be exhausted for this training.

If she had been full of energy she would have taken twice as long if not more in being able to actually realise that this was not a chakra based skill but a spiritual skill. Now Amarante was definitely not the spiritual type but she could tell that this was beyond just chakra and jutsu. This was her own unconscious mind working hand in hand with her, the essence of what she was. She followed the chakra back along its path in an attempt at finding Hoshigaki. The chakra winded through the forest; Hoshigaki had been active since the start of this training which was well over an hour ago. He had managed to walk a big trail and leave behind a strong trail of chakra that she could follow. It winded through trees, it winded through boulders and the more and more she followed it the more and more it seemed to weave. Her progress was moving slow and little did she know Hoshigaki was actually gaining ground on her the more she searched and followed the trail. She kept getting swept up and mixing up the way she was going, she wasn't able to properly navigate as to which was older chakra and which was newer and she kept going in circles. She figured this out after a while however but for the life of her she couldn't figure out how to follow the trail.

The more and more different ways she tried to go as she followed along the more and more she kept going in circles, the more and more different routes she tried the more and more she kept falling into the old ones, she was able to distinguish this. She decided to stop and think for a moment but then just as she did so the path seemed clear; obvious. She was able to trace Hoshigaki back to his exact location without any effort whatsoever. She tried to understand this and went back over her thoughts earlier. She was working a spiritual technique. One that forced her unconscious mind and conscious mind to work... Together... She then figured it out. She was trying to heard earlier to be able to search and locate Hoshigaki, using only her conscious mind. That was a mistake as this jutsu utilized the unconscious mind; the part of the mind that was unable to be explained by science. The part of the mind were sentience became a reality and the sum of the parts was out-weighted by the end result. She tried to figure out how far Hosigaki was from her current location and settled on the fact that he was about twenty-five meters away. She decided to surprise him and shunshinned to his position in the blink of an eye. "Found you" she cooed as the giant man smirked, "oh did you now".
