Effect: A technique is similar to Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon strike). However, the force of the attack bypasses or redirects around the first object hit smashing into the target behind.

Drawback: Distance is half to what Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon Strike) is capable.
Description: A technique developed for hostage situations. A user performs Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon Strike). When Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon Strike) is struck the wave of force misses the first person or object while it redirects, smacking into a target directly behind. This can be used at conjunctions for buildings and other objects as well. Depending on the user's knowledge of Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon Strike) depends on the strength of they are able to perform in this technique. Depending on the user's Class depends on the distance of Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon strike) divided by two for Gosei Ryuu: Itenryusen (Moving dragon strike) distance.
Limit: Must learn from a Master of Burçdono Kenseijin - Blade of the Sword Saint. Must know Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon Strike).

“It is time for me to learn you variations of the techniques that you already know Minoru-kun. Variation jutsu number one will be the itenryusen. This jutsu will bypass the first person before it smashes into the one that stands behind the first one in line.
But the bad thing is that it only has half of the range that the ryusen has so make sure you remember that” said the female as she placed a dummy behind the first one. The male was curious as he watched her take a stance that he had seen earlier.

“Gosei ryuu! Itenryusen!” said Mai when she did a fast swing with her katana. The dummy that stood closest to her stood still while the one behind was sent towards the wall with the same speed as the ryusen.
When two seconds had passed, the dummy laid face down on the ground while the one in front had not moved an inch. “A jutsu like this is ideal in hostage situations or in a fight where your teammate might need assistance. You will use the light sword now” said the young woman as she put the dummy back to its original place.

Minoru nodded at her as he wondered how he should hit the dummy behind and not injure the first one somehow. ‘Perhaps it’s a sort of ricochet attack or something. I’ll test out that theory first’ thought the guy as he positioned himself in the same stance as the black-haired female had used earlier.
“Gosei ryuu! Itenryusen!” said the Genin as he swung the sword with the same angle as a normal ryusen strike. He watched both of the dummies with a bit of anticipation....this was the first time he had a jutsu like this.

After a second, the first dummy felt backwards like someone had pushed it from the front. The second dummy slided backwards it had been kicked or punched with quite a lot of force, which was a good thing.
‘Kami...the first dummy felt to the ground and that was not supposed to happen! What should I do!?’ thought the male since he was not sure how a jutsu like this worked. Lavender eyes then looked up at the female in wonder.

“What kind of idea did you have about how to spare the first one from injury?” asked the sword master as she looked at him with a hint of curiosity in her eyes.
“I thought a little bit about the ricochet. I do not know any jutsu similar to this one I’m afraid so that was the only thing I could think of” said the black-haired guy in an honest voice. He hoped that she would not get too mad at him or think of him as an inexperienced Genin.

“Ricochet is not a very good idea since this means that the first object will get injured too. Try to think of the first object as see through in a way as you launch the itenryusen.
That might do the trick” said the young woman with a somewhat sharp voice; she really did not like his idea about this. He nodded as he returned to his current task. To master the new sword jutsu called itenryusen, which was an advanced version of the ryusen.

‘First object as see-through huh? I might actually be able to do that since my byakugan has X-ray vision and whatnot. Time for a new try!’ thought the guy as he slid his left foot back into the stance that he would use.
Pale purple eyes narrowed as they focused on the dummy that was behind the one that was closest to him. ‘Showtime’ thought Minoru as the slight tension in his shoulders started to shift a little bit in order to launch the swing.

“Gosei ryuu! Itenryusen!” said the male as he lifted both of his arms and did a large swing with both of his arms. His eyes were practically glued at the second dummy when he did the itenryusen once more.
The first dummy did not move an inch while the second one started to move shortly after the swing had been launched. It flied several feet backwards before it hit the floor and rolled over so the face was now in the ground. “Good job Minoru-kun” said Mai with some satisfaction in her voice.

Description: A variation technique of Gosei Ryuu: Ryûkansen (Dragon spiral strike) where when the user spins to avoid the attack they do not attack the side of the opponent. Instead the user simply attacks to the head of the opponent. The effects of Gosei Ryuu: Ryûkansen - Kogarashi (Dragon spiral strike - Wintry wind) is still the same as Gosei Ryuu: Ryûkansen (Dragon spiral strike) in every way including the force like attack.
Limit: Must learn from a Master of Burçdono Kenseijin - Blade of the Sword Saint. Must know Gosei Ryuu: Ryûkansen (Dragon spiral strike), Must know Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon strike).

“We have one more variation technique to go before I will start to learn you the “B”-ranks Minoru-kun. The last low-ranked variation I will learn you is the Ryukansen kogarashi. It has the same basics as the ryukansen but you attack the head instead of the sides of an opponent. Which can be a little harder since you have to pay attention to your arms” said the female as she prepared her sword. The male nodded at her to show that he had listened to what she had told him.

She made two kage bunshins; one of them stepped aside while the other one picked up the light sword that Minoru had used in the previous exercise. The kage bunshin then ran towards Mai with her sword ready to attack.
“Gosei ryuu! Ryukansen kogarashi!” said the young woman as she spun to the side and raised her sword. The sword then hit the kage bunshins head before it disappeared in a puff of smoke. She unsheathed the sword as she looked at the guy with a rather neutral expression.

“You will use the heavy sword for a couple of turns so your arms get used to handle heavier swords. I want you to AIM the jutsu at the kage bunshins head and not hit it since you need to train on the control too” said the black-haired female as she handed him the heavy sword once more.
“Yes sensei” said the Genin as he prepared himself for the variation jutsu. ‘I have the basics down, which is not that bad. But to just aim is new for me’ thought the male as he looked at the kage bunshin.

The kage bunshin ran towards him with her sword raised just a couple of seconds after the black-haired guy had entered the ‘arena’. It caught him a little by surprise but he managed to spin away from the bunshin just in time.
“Gosei ryuu! Ryukansen kogarashi!” said the guy as he aimed the sword at the kage bunshins head. But the sword was a little heavier than he had thought so he barely missed the kage bunshin. A frustrated sigh escaped his lips as he went towards the place he had stood earlier.

‘I need to concentrate if I want to learn this! I just have to attack a bit faster and stronger so the sword can be in the right position’ thought Minoru as he prepared himself for another attack. Lavender eyes measured the distance between him and the clone...it was less than 14 feet.
‘Crap...this means that I have to react FAST’ thought the male while he cursed the prohibition of Jyuuken jutsus during the training. Oh well, he could use the nankan in a real fight if he had to.

Light footfalls could be heard as the kage bunshin charged towards him once more with her sword raised a little above her head. He shifted his weight as he spun on his right foot; the Genin had dodged the sword attack.
“Gosei ryuu! Ryukansen kogarashi!” said the guy as he lifted the sword once more. His arms lifted the sword in a swing that stopped two inches away from the kage bunshins head. “Find your katana Minoru-kun” said the female as she hold out her right hand.

“Right sensei” said the black-haired male as he handed her the heavy sword; he was glad that he could train with a lighter sword now. He picked up his katana, attached the sheath to the belt and prepared himself for a new match.
‘This should be a little easier but I have to strike the clone now’ thought the male as he looked over at the kage bunshin. She had a rather blank expression in her face so it would be harder to read her. Would he be able to strike her head now?

Minoru got his answer when the kage bunshin headed towards him again with the light sword in a striking position. His left foot spun and his body followed suit so he could evade the attack that would hit him.
“Gosei ryuu! Ryukansen kogarashi!” said the guy as his hands did a swing with the sword towards the kage bunshins head. The blade connected with the right side of the kage bunshins face before it disappeared in a puff of smoke. He knew that things would get harder from here...“B”-ranked taijutsus were not an easy task.

Effect: This technique is a range technique that sends a force wave attack in a line at far off distances to cut those far away.

Description: A simple technique and the basic technique that must be learned before going into the more advanced techniques of Gosei Ryuu. The user slashes their sword with such strength and fierce force that a blade of force is shocked out with the blade knocking into whoever stands in its way capable of cutting capabilities as if it were a regular sword. When first learned this technique is only as strong as if a user was stricken by a simple bat. When the user learns the next rank, the “B” rank, the force feels like the user was cut like an actual sword. When the user learns the last rank, the highest rank, “A” rank, the force cannot be stopped by a block. The best option is to dodge. Depending on the user's class level depends on the strength of the technique.
“B” class - Thirty five meter cone.
Limit: Must learn from a Master of Burçdono Kenseijin - Blade of the Sword Saint. Must know all stances.

“I’m sorry to disappoint you, but you already know the first “B”-ranked jutsu that I want to teach you Minoru-kun” said the female as they sat on the hill outside. “What jutsu is that?” asked the male with genunine curiosity as he looked up at her with his weird eyes.
“It’s a “B”-ranked version of the ryusen; it will make the enemy feel like they were hit by a real sword. Your current version only feels like they were hit by a bat” said Mai as he looked back on him with a slightly apologetic look. He let out a small sigh...he had looked forward to train a brand new technique.

“You probably wonder why I wanted you to meet me out here today. I need to increase your physical strength and flexibility in order to make sure that you can create a bigger force.
The bad news are that your body is not fully developed physically yet so I have to make sure that I don’t stress your muscles too much. Good news are that you have a flexible body since you are young” said the young woman with a smile. Minoru paled a little when he realized what she wanted to do with him.

“Let’s go to the place where your training will start” said the black-haired female when she stood up. They walked towards the forest where there was a lot of lumberjacks that chopped up wood for payment.
“I want you to chop as much wood as you can; you will use the light sword first. When you have chopped up 10 pieces, you can carry them over to that container” said the female before she pointed on a container with her name on it. He mentally sweatdropped when he realized that todays training was to chop wood for the swords master.

“Here’s the light sword. Your place will be over there; don’t even THINK about using the Jyuuken to chop up the wood. If the sword breaks, I have a new one in my bag that you can use” said the young woman with a slightly sadistic smile. The guy just nodded as he walked over to the chopping block...who would have knew that women could be that crazy? He then looked at the pieces of wood that were stacked up next to him and counted them.

‘All right. I have 30 pieces of wood to chop but I bet she will give me more when I’m finished with this’ thought the Genin as he looked at the wood. He put the first piece of wood on the chopping block while he tried to ignore a lumberjack that chuckled at him. The male raised both of his arms with the light sword in his hands before he sent both of his arms straight down towards the wood. He used quite a lot of strenght to make sure that the sword made at least halfway through the wood.

‘WHAT THE...’ thought the black-haired guy as he stared at the wood with disbelief written all over his face. The sword had barely got through 1/3 of the wood so the blade was now stuck in the pine wood.
He laid the wood block on the ground and pulled the sword towards him as much as he could so he could continue. Some of the lumberjacks laughed in a low manner at the sight; a gangly Hyuuga that chopped wood with a light sword. “HNNNNN!” said the guy when he pulled the sword towards him as hard as he could.

The sword then flung out of the wood while the force made Minoru stumble backwards before he landed on his behind. He got up again and laid the wood piece on the chopping block one more so he could finish it.
Both of his arms clutched the sword while the lavender spheres tried to focus on the crack he had made in the wood. ‘I HAVE to hit that part if I want to get through! This sword is light...perhaps I could try with more speed’ thought the male as he prepared himself for a new swing.

“HA!” said the Genin when his arms swung downwards once more with a bit more speed than earlier. The metal sliced through the wood and divided the piece of wood into two smaller ones that could be used for firewood.
He smiled as he picked up one that had landed a few feet away and laid it next to the chopping block. A somewhat lanky hand picked up another piece of wood that would face the same destiny as the previous one. ‘I think I have cracked something here’ thought the guy as he prepared himself for a new chopping motion.

A new piece of wood was picked up from the ground before it was placed on the chopping block that was used in todays training. The male raised both of his arms once more with the light sword clutched in his gloved hands.
The limbs then moved in a blur of dark blue and metal as the latter sliced through the last wood piece that the female wanted him to chop up. He then gathered all the wood with his hands so he could carry it over to the container. All of the wood pieces landed in the container with a BAM-BAM-BAM!

“Right sensei...what exercise is up next?” asked Minoru as he wiped some sweat from his somewhat pale face. “You will chop the next 15 pieces of wood with this sword” said Mai while she pulled up a sword from her bag that he had never seen in his life.
She had a bit of trouble with pulling it up; perhaps it had to do something with the weight since this sword had the same length as a katana. “I’ll take it sensei” said the guy as he approached her. He took the sword and concluded with that his assumptions about the weight had been right.

‘Kami, this sword is heavier than the heavy sword! At least I don’t have to worry much about the force when I use this one to chop with. I better be careful so I don’t drop this thing on my foot...that would be just horrible’ thought the Genin as he walked towards the chopping block.
One of the lumberjacks had laid 15 pieces of wood right next to him; all of them were slightly larger than the previous ones. ‘Better get going’ thought the male as he tried to lift the sword in the previous position.

It was heavier than he first had thought since he struggled quite a bit to hold the ultra-heavy sword in the same position as the previous one. The black-haired guy then sent his arms in a dropping motion while he tried to not drop the sword in the process...the young woman would not like that.
KA-CHOP! Lavender eyes saw that the piece of wood had now been divided into two smaller pieces that laid on the ground. He laid both of them on the left side as he laid a new one at the chopping block.

‘This type of training should be good for Minoru-kun. He has to keep that heavy thing in his hands while he perform a straight-line motion to chop the wood. Doubt the sword is too heavy or light since he’s able to hold it like that’ thought the black-haired female as she looked at him.
His arms swung down towards the wood once more and two pieces of wood felt down on the ground he stood on. The guy then laid it with the other two before he picked up a new piece of wood that he could chop.

‘Weight training is better than this since I don’t have to worry about chopping off my toes. But I cannot complain...at least it’s not that bad as a workout method’ thought Minoru as he lifted the ultra-heavy sword one more time.
His arms started to get tired but he did not wanted to give up before he had reached at least 10 pieces of wood. Even though he was not a fully grown adult, it did not mean that the male was a weakling or anything like that. Two pieces of wood felt down on the ground with a dull THUD!


ALMOST 20 MINUTES LATER.

Sepia eyes studied the Genin that had now reached the very last piece of wood that he had to chop for her. ‘His arms are probably quite sore now but that does not surprise me since he has chopped all the wood with that heavy sword. But he needs to get some muscle on those ramen-looking arms’ thought the sword master as she looked at him.
Lavender eyes narrowed just moments before the guy swung his arms downwards while his hands clutched the sword in his hands. The piece of wood was then chopped in two before it felt down on the ground below him.

“Great...now to carry them” muttered the black-haired male picked up all the wood from the ground. It felt like both of his arms had been filled with lead but there was only one more thing he had to do now.
He managed to gather half of it and stumbled over to the container that had his sensei’s name on it. The wood was laid in there before he started on the second round, which was a bit harder than the first one. “Good work Minoru-kun; we will continue your training here tomorrow at 11 AM” said the female with a satisfied smile.

It was 10:55 AM; the male was on his way to the place in the forest he had spent training the day before. ‘I wonder what she’ll make me do today...probably chopping up more pieces or carry wood’ thought Minoru with a dreadful look on his face.
The female stood right next to some lumber that had to be cut up. A slightly evil smile decorated her face and the guy wondered what he had to do. Those pieces of lumber were FAR to heavy to carry unless you were a Kamuya or knew the Will of Kratos.

“Good morning Minoru-kun. Do you have any idea of what you will train on today?” asked Mai while she looked at him with the same semi-evil expression on her face.
“No...and a part of me don’t want to know it” said the Genin with a somewhat scared expression on his face. “You will use this sword to split these pieces of lumber in the middle. Start on the short pieces that are 10 feet long before you take those on 12 feet” said the young woman.

‘Holy Kami’ thought the male as he unsheathed his sword. He already knew quite many Buredono Kenseijin jutsus that sent powerful shockwaves into a far distance but this was the first time he would use it outside the dojang.
‘I need to cut with so much force that the lumber will split in two. But if I’m not careful, I can injure myself or not splitting it completely’ thought the black-haired guy as he got into a standard stance. The first piece of wood smelt a lot like pine; it was 10 feet long and 3 feet wide.

“Here we go!” said the guy as his left hand swung the sword with quite a lot of force. He wanted to see how far he could go with 70% of his current strength before he would turn it up a notch or two.
DRRRRRZ! The shockwave he had made managed to cut through about ¾ of the wood; the rest remained untouched. “You need to use as much force as you can Minoru-kun! It’s just like chopping giant wooden pieces!” yelled the black-haired female in the background.

A light went off in his head...she was actually right! The lumber had the same shape as the wood pieces he had chopped earlier despite that they were a lot larger when it came to size.
Both of his arms then went back into their usual position while the lavender eyes narrowed in concentration. Minoru’s arms moved in a blur of blue as he launched off another shockwave towards the lumber. “GYAAA!” yelled the male while the shockwave cut through the limber in front of him.

‘Did I make it!?’ thought the Genin as he looked at the lumber with pale purple eyes that were a bit wider than normal. A split second later, the lumber split in two at the middle before it felt down at the ground with a loud THUD!
‘ALL RIGHT!’ thought the guy and grinned while he massaged his biceps a little bit...they were a little sore. A new piece of lumber was placed in front of him to cut up in two. This one was 11 feet long and 3 ½ feet in width with a faint smell of birch to it.

‘I will smell like a forest if I keep going like this’ thought the black-haired male as he prepared himself to swing again. This time, he decided to stand a bit more to the right than otherwise so he could produce a larger swing.
The most important thing was to hit the wood; the dead center would be preferable in this case though. Lavender spheres narrowed in concentration while the hands shifted a little to change their grip on the sheath. It was time to cut through the lumber that was placed in front of him.

“HIYAAAA!” yelled the male before his hands swung towards the large piece of wood that had to be split up. The combination of metal and force made a shockwave that hit the solid material just moments later.
All of the force went through the wood but died out after it had reached a little more than 10 feet. Minoru let out a sigh of frustration as he prepared himself once more. What kind of kenjutsu would be the best option at something as solid as this!?

“Sensei...could you please help me a little bit? I am kind of stuck at the moment” said the male as he looked in her direction. The female walked over with a slightly curious look on her rather pale face.
“I wonder if I can cut the wood more effectively with the ryusen kenjutsu. I don’t think I can keep cutting with sheer force much longer” said Minoru as he looked down at her; he appeared to be a little exhausted.

His face had a small hint of red to it while some drops of sweat ran down his face as well as his shoulders. ‘Looks like he finally get this. Force alone will not make a good kenjutsu since you need technique as well’ thought Mai while she unsheathed her own sword.
“This is a “B”-ranked version of the ryusen. Which means that you need to apply the same use of it here” said the young woman as she glanced at him.

“Reason number two to chop up all those small pieces of wood was to make your movements more explosive in a way. You have to be steady and strong at the same time if you want to train on a strong kenjutsu.
Try to use all your strenght while you perform an ordinary ryusen on that lumber” said the black-haired female before she stepped back. “Thank you sensei” said the guy as he gave her a smile. Her words had cleared up his head about what he had to do next in his training.

Both of his legs positioned themselves in a stance that would be a bit more effective for the execution of a ryusen. ‘Why did not I figure out this a bit earlier!? I trained on the “B”-ranked version of the ryusen to begin with!’ thought the Genin as his left hand curled around the handle of the sword.
It did not take long before the right hand positioned itself almost right above it. He relaxed his body a little so he could move faster.

“Gosei ryuu! Ryusen!” yelled the male as he swung the metal blade that was clutched in his gloved hands. The force he had used made him almost fall into the ground while the shockwave drilled into the wood.
It moved a bit faster than usual and it actually managed to cut the piece of lumber in two just moments later. ‘Did I do that!?’ thought the black-haired guy as he looked at the wood in awe. A satisfied smile appeared on his face when he found out that his arms were not as tired as earlier.

‘Perhaps it was a smart move to relax my body when I swung the sword. Not only did I get more speed but my muscles are not as tense as they were earlier’ thought the guy as an even larger piece of wood was put down at the ground.
It was a massive 12 feet in length while the height was on a whole 4 feet; it reached a little over his waist. Minoru’s eyes went a little wide while he let out a small sigh...this would NOT be easy. He needed a LOT of force in order to get through this one.

He went back to his stance while he narrowed his eyes. ‘Perhaps it will be easier to cut it up if I find a dent or something that I can use to my advantage’ thought the male as he looked at the wood.
Pale purple eyes widened a little when they noticed a crack that was a bit to the right of the center. Both hands grabbed the handle of the sword while his body prepared itself to create the strongest swing yet. Which was necessary to cut through the huge piece of lumber that was right in front of him.

“Gosei ryuu! Ryusen!” yelled the Genin while his body went into a very strong spinning movement. He managed to create a shockwave that was aimed at the crack so it would be easier to cut the wood in two pieces.
The shockwave hit a little away from the crack while it went through the dense material with great speed. Both the female and the guy looked at the wood as they waited for the result. Was the force he had used strong enough to cut through the lumber?

After a couple of seconds, the massive block of wood was split into two separate pieces before they felt to the ground. “I DID IT!” said the male as he jumped for joy. “Good Minoru-kun. I have one more exercise for you before you can try out the ryusen on actual opponents” said the female with a satisfied smile on her face. Minoru nodded before they walked out of the forest...their new training spot would be a mile away from where they were now.

“Your last job will be to drag these bags of wood from here to some customers that lives at Hisame street. The bags will be laid on a sled but make sure that you do not drop any of them or don’t deliver them in time.
You have 10 bags and all of them need to be delivered by noon” said Mai before she looked on the nearby clock tower. It was 11:20 AM; he had 40 minutes to deliver all the bags with wood.

“Here is a map. All of the houses crossed with red are the houses you have to deliver to” said the young woman when she handed him a map that was inside a see-through plastic folder.
The guy noticed that 4 of the houses were in the center of the street. The bad news were that the street was two blocks away and he could only take one bag at the time. “I better get going” said the Genin as he headed off with the sled.

‘Right...the first house is the house with a ‘2’ on it’ thought the male as he pulled the somewhat heavy sled towards the first house. It was the house at the right side that was closest to him and there was light in the window.
He knocked on the door; it did not take long before a middle-aged man opened it. “Hello. I’m here to deliver a bag with wood pieces” said the black-haired guy with a polite voice.

“Thank you” said the man before he took the heavy bag from the sled. The guy picked up the bag before he ran back to the starting point as fast as he possibly could; the sled was not that heavy anyways.
“Sensei...could you please tell me what this has to do with my training?” asked Minoru as he strapped the second bag onto the sled. “When you pull the sword, you have to hold it back. And the fact that you’re jgging with the sled means that you train the way you move too” said the black-haired female with a neutral voice.

“OK” said the male as he started on the small trip again. He was allowed to take two bags with him this time, so he managed to get to the other two houses within reasonable time...the bags were heavier than he thought they would be.
‘I had no idea I was so weak’ thought the Genin as he ran back to the starting point with the sled on his back. No wonder that the female made him train like this; he needed a bit more strength to train strong kenjutsus. He strapped two more bags onto the sled as he started on the houses that were in the middle of the street.

Some sweat had started to run down his face...the low temperature did not do much to his rising body heat. ‘Perhaps I should take off my sweater’ thought the guy before he removed his black sweater, leaving him only in a red T-shirt.
His whole body was relatively warm; it felt like he had jogged around the Hyuuga mansion in the middle of a summer day. The black-haired male strapped two more bags before he went to the houses at the end of the street since he did not have much time left.

“You can take the last bags with you in one go. There are only 3 left and you only have 10 minutes left” said the sword master as she looked up at the clocktower once more.
Lavender eyes widened in alarm when he realized how little time he had left. He ran as fast as his legs could carry him, despite that his lungs burned. Not to mention that all of the limbs felt quite sore compared to earlier.

The male ran towards the houses as fast as his legs could carry him. ‘I’m glad I’m kinda tall now; I can take longer steps instead as long as I look out for patches of ice’ thought Minoru as he rounded the last corner.
All of the three houses were at the left side of the street, so he did not have to worry about switching sides. He knocked at the first door and a teenager on his own age opened it. “Hello...I’m here...to deliver...some wood” said the guy as he tried to get some oxygen in his system.

“Thank you!” said the boy with a smile before he pulled the bag with him inside the house. ‘One left, two more to go’ thought the Genin as he went to the next house on the list.
There was nobody home...he put the bag on the doorstep and continued to the last house on his list. Luckily, a young woman answered the door at the last house. She told the male that the people in the house next to her would come back later that day.

He jogged back with the sled as he heard the clock rung 12 times. “Very good Minoru-kun! You finished the delivery round in time and you did your best. We will continue tomorrow at noon; make sure you take a good shower and get to bed early” said the female with a happy smile on her face.
“Thank you...sensei” said the black-haired guy before he went back to his cousins house.


THE NEXT DAY.

The guy was in the dojang at noon together with the swords master. “We will go outside so we can see if you are able to do the ryusen against my mizu bunshins first. You will then test your skill against my kage bunshin” said the young woman before they walked outside.
She made 4 mizu bunshins out of some half-melted snow that was spread around on the ground below her. Minoru grabbed the handle of his sword with the left hand while his eyes narrowed a little...he was ready to fight.

“Remember that you have to make enough force to cut them down from where you’re standing! Keep your training in mind too” said Mai before she stepped aside to let him fight.
‘They are only made out of water but they are more solid than other clones. GOT IT!’ thought the male as he remembered something. He imagined them to be two human-sized pieces of wood that he had to cut through.

Half of the mizu bunshins stepped away while the other two postioned themself in a vertical line of some sort. “Gosei ryuu! Ryusen!” yelled the Genin before he swung the sword with as much force as he could manage. The shockwave reached the two mizu bunshins and reduced them to two puddles of water.
The other two mizu bunshins came towards him with a rather angry look at their faces. ‘Perhaps I can try the vertical wood chopping now’ thought the guy as he re-positioned himself again.

“Gosei ryuu! Ryuusen!” yelled the black-haired male as he swung the sword in a somewhat more vertical line compared to earlier. A new shockwave emerged; it pushed both clones away before they became water again.
The kage bunshin entered the scene with a sword clutched in its hands. It seemed to be ready to fight against the male if it was threatened. ‘I need more power...I’ll try to put everything together, including that weird sled training’ thought Minoru.

A small ‘tap’ was heard as the kage bunshin was on her way towards him. He stepped back while his body turned a little so he could produce a strong swinging motion with the katana.
“GOSEI RYUU! RYUSEN!” yelled the guy before he swung his sword with all the power that his body could produce before the bunshin came too close. The shockwave made a cut in the kage bunshins stomach and made it disappear in a puff of smoke. He could not help but to smile...this was a very strong jutsu indeed.

Effect: This technique is a move which takes advantage of centripetal force to accelerate the draw of the blade while simultaneously avoiding the adversary's assault, shifting directly into a counterattack.

Description: When attacked straight on, the user spins to avoid the attack. Using the motion of the dodge, a strike is immediacy made afterwards to hit the opponent's side. A user can simply rotate their body while performing this attack as well. If an opponent attack attacks along the right the user jukes to the right making a full spin while avoiding the attack delivering a blow with the sword along the side. If the user misses, the force of the attack follows with a range forced attack launching a wave of force to the opponent in a cone effect. The effect of the cone is shot up outwards from the user's body vertically in the same direction as the sword moving horizontally away from the user's body. Depending on the user's class level depends on the strength of the technique.

The male entered the dojang that was only occupied by his teacher at the moment. “Good morning sensei” said Minoru as he gave her a polite bow in greeting; it was important to have good manners.
“Good morning Minoru-kun. I will teach you three more basic techniques before we will move onto the advanced ones. You will learn a jutsu called ryukansen today” said the female while she looked at him.

She then made a kage bunshin that attacked her straight on. “Gosei ryuu! Ryukansen!” said Mai before she spun to the side as fast as possible. The young woman then did a quick strike with her sword that hit the clone’s side; it did not disappeared since they used a shinai.
“You will use the heavy sword first, aim at the kage bunshins side. Don’t use your byakugan here…save that for a real emergency” said the black-haired female as she handed him the heavy sword.

A jutsu like this was a tad bit familiar for the guy since he already knew jutsus like kaiten as well as the hasangeki. ‘But I have to use a sword this time’ thought the Genin as he prepared himself for the kage bunshin that was ready to attack him.
She launched forwards and the male prepared himself to spin to the right so he could avoid her shinai. The black-haired guy spun on his right foot as he held onto the sword to make sure he did not drop it.

“Gosei ryuu! Ryukansen!” said the guy as he tried to strike the kage bunshin with the sword he had been given by the female. But the strike was a bit too uneven so the bunshin managed to dodge before the sword made contact with it.
“Don’t rush Minoru-kun. Spin first and then strike as fast as possible” said the young woman as she looked at him. He went back to the starting point so he could try one more time.

‘I can do the spinning without any problem at all thanks to the Jyuuken. But I have to get the strike a lot stronger or else I’m done for it’ thought Minoru as he tried to concentrate as much as he could on his current task.
The kage bunshin ran forwards and the male prepared himself for evasion once more. He spun on his left foot as fast as he could; the sword missed him. It was time to make a counter attack on his attacker – fast!

“Gosei ryuu! Ryukansen!” said the Genin as he tried to strike the clone as fast as he could with the heavy sword in his hands. The sword made an all right hit on the shoulder, but the clone suddenly stumbled backwards before it felt to the ground.
“I forgot to mention that you would create a shockwave when you used enough force and strength to attack someone. You can use your katana now” said the swords master before she made a new clone.

He laid the sword into the cupboard and picked up his katana. When the guy was back to the starting point, both he and the kage bunshin were ready to fight one another head on. The kage bunshin made the first move; she ran towards him with her sword raised and ready to attack him.
Lavender eyes widened a little in slight shock before he managed to step aside. The shinai had missed and the kage bunshin was in trouble now.

“Gosei ryuu! Ryukansen!” said the black-haired male as he made a fast strike with his katana towards the side of the kage bunshins torso. The blade made contact before the kage bunshin had time to react; it was a direct hit.
A choked sound escaped the kage bunshins mouth; a real person would be in a great deal of pain by now. It disappeared in a puff of smoke and left a happy male in its wake. ‘I wonder how the advanced jutsus will be like’ wondered Minoru as he sheathed the katana.

Effect: A technique used to impede opponents at a distance.

Description: Another form concept of forcing energy by a single swing. Instead of cutting, the user can swing their blade into more of a force like blow. This technique is shot out in a wave, but expanded into a wall. This wall momentarily slows an opponent down by giving them the push. When the user first learns this technique as a “D” Class ninja the user is able to send a shock wave of sheer force in the distance of twenty meters capable of giving a knock back of five meters away from the twenty meter region. For every class level the user may be higher than that of “D” Class the technique increases at a distance of five meters giving it a total of forty meters, with a knock back of twenty five meters past the initial shockwave point. This technique is able to counter against thrown and other projectile weapons, as well as running opponents.
Limit: Must Learn from a Master of Burçdono Kenseijin - Blade of the Sword Saint. Must know Gosei Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon strike).

“Sensei, are there any defensive jutsus in the buredono kenseijin? I don’t want to be rude but I have only learned offensive things so far” asked the male as he looked over at her.
“I’m glad you asked me Minoru-kun. The next jutsu will be the ka-ryusen; it is a defensive jutsu that you can use against weapons. It can also work on running enemies if you use it right” said the female before she stood up and grabbed her katana with her right hand.

A training dummy that looked a bit like a mini-sumo wrestler stood in the middle of the dojang room. “The ka-ryusen will make more of a force instead of a blow. Gosei ryuu! Ka-ryusen!” said Mai as she swung her sword towards the targeted dummy.
The poor dummy was then pushed back, hit the wall and was then knocked into the wall just a couple of seconds later. It then felt face first on the floor…this jutsu was definitely powerful enough to be used against an adult man.

“Could you please place the dummy back to where it stood Minoru-kun? You will use the light sword first” said the young woman as she stepped back to watch how he would tackle this.
Minoru dragged the 80 pound dummy back to where it stood and took the light sword from the cupboard. ‘I need to make a lot of force if I want to blow that dummy into the wall. Oh well, here goes the first try’ thought the guy as he positioned himself in a decent stance.

“Gosei ryuu! Ka-ryusen!” said the Genin as he tried to make the strongest swing possible with the light sword he had to use. He was about 10 meters away from the dummy, so he should be able to produce SOMETHING at the very least.
The dummy slid about 5 meters backwards in a somewhat slow motion and remained in its usual sitting position. ‘This is embarrassing. But at least I was able to push it away a little’ thought the male as he sweatdropped in shame.

“Not that bad Minoru-kun. You managed to push away the dummy a little but you need to use your hips a little in order to get a proper swing on your torso. Like this” said the black-haired female before she stood up again.
Lavender eyes studied how she moved when she did a slow motion version of the ka-ryusen for him. ‘I see…when I move the hips, the torso will automatically follow’ thought the black-haired guy as he looked at her.

“Thanks for the demonstration sensei” said the guy before he resumed with the training on the ka-ryusen. He placed his foot behind him while the arms were placed a little to the left in order to make the movement a little easier.
Since the sword was so light, Minoru had to produce as much force as possible with his body alone. “Gosei ryuu! Ka-ryusen!” said the male as his arms made a wider and more powerful swing compared to the previous one. His eyes then looked on the dummy to see how far it would go this time.

Pale purple eyes widened in shock when the dummy moved a little more than 15 meters backwards with a higher speed than earlier. It was then hit by a somewhat strong shockwave that made it fall onto its back.
“You can use your katana now Minoru-kun” said the female with a neutral look on her face. He laid the sword back into the cupboard before he took out his own katana. The Genin moved back to his starting point once he had made the dummy sit in an upright position again.

‘I should be able to make a more powerful wave this time’ thought the guy as he slid his left foot back into a stance that was similar to the previous one. “Gosei ryuu! Ka-ryusen!” said the black-haired male before his arms made a strong swing.
He used all the strength he had, which made the dummy fly about 20 meters backwards. It was then knocked into the wall by a rather strong shockwave of some sort. A smile graced the male’s face when he understood that the jutsu had been mastered.

Shunshin no jutsu - Oshi (Body flicker technique - Push).

Effect: A Jutsu that allows a user to rush forward in almost instantaneous speed. Used to draw the user close to the opponent.

Drawback: May use 3 times a day. May perform 1 more each time learned. Passing amount renders the user's legs immobile due to severe pain. Unable to perform again unless gained medical treatment. Must move through an opening. Unable to maneuver around obstructing objects. Can't attack while performing any Shunshin or variation.
Description: User is able to move forward in a straight line along the ground in almost instantaneous untraceable speed while temporarily masking the user's movements within 10 meters. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by focusing the user's chi along the ankles and foot. User mostly moves just with their ankles and feet. Jutsu takes up no movements. User may only use this jutsu half of the movements may allow in a single round while rounding down. Example: User has 5 movements, user is able to perform jutsu 2 times per round.
Limit: Universal ninjutsu or universal taijutsu.

“Minoru-kun, can you please tell how many times per day you can perform the shunshin jutsu called oshi?” asked the female as she looked at his face with a bit of curiosity in her eyes.
“I can do it 10 times per day” said the male as he looked into her eyes with a rather neutral look in his eyes. “It’s time we increase that. Speed is vital when it comes to the buredono kenseijin fighting” said Mai as her eyes shifted over to the place where today’s training would find place. It was a rather large indoor skating rink where a lot of children were playing around.

“Sensei...why are we on a skating rink?” asked Minoru as he put on a pair of black skates that he would use. “Because you have a lot less friction on the ice than you have on the ground or a water surface.
I know that the winters are not that cold in Hi no Kuni, but if you have to fight in countries far north such as these...” said Mai as she knit the laces on her white ones. He nodded before the duo entered the skating rink together; the guy was a little unused to skating and found it a little hard to keep the balance. The young woman then skated towards the other end.

“I want you to get to me as fast as you can! Don’t worry about falling or anything, there is a medic office in this building” said the black-haired female as she looked over at him.
‘That was comforting’ thought the Genin as he tried to figure out how to get over to her without knocking out any of his teeth. He kicked off with his right foot and started on his somewhat wobbly journey over to the place where the female stood. The distance between them was about 50 meters or so.

One of the kids suddenly bumped into him when he was halfway and sent the poor male straight into the wall with a small THUD! “Are you all right Minoru-kun?” asked Mai with a somewhat worried look on her face.
He stood up and checked his body to see if there was any abnormal pain or a swelling that should not be there. “I bet my thighs will get a bruise or two but I’m fine” said the black haired guy as he rubbed his thighs a little. He went back to the where he started while he tried to figure out a way to skate without losing the balance.

Lavender eyes looked at some kids that played hockey; it seemed like they bent a little forwards as they kicked off with the front of their feet. ‘If I bend a little forwards, it might be easier to keep my balance’ thought the guy as he prepared himself for another skating session.
He bent his back slightly while he shifted most of the weight to the front of his feet. The left foot then kicked off as his body started to move forwards. Even though the speed was not high, it was steadier than before.

‘Let’s see if I can turn it up a notch!’ thought Minoru as he kicked off the slippy ground a little harder than earlier. ‘He does not seem to be that wobbly anymore. But I wonder if he can pull of a shunshin on ice’ thought the swords master as she looked at his body with a curious look in her eyes.
But his ankle slipped at something small on the ice and the male was sent straight towards the rail on the left side. His hands grabbed the rail so he did not felt down on the ice like earlier.

“I’m fine!” said the Genin as he got back up on his skate-clad feet again; his body did not have a scratch on it. He had covered about 20 meters now, so he had enough space to gather a lot of speed that could result in a shunshin.
‘I can do this...just keep your balance and your attention on your surroundings’ thought the guy as he started on his skating mission again. He kicked off the ice again while his body was in a very steady position. Pale purple eyes looked at the kids but they were too far away to bump into him now.

His feet kicked off again but in a much stronger fashion compared to what they had done earlier in the training. ‘I NEED to add more shunshins to my arsenal!’ thought the black-haired male as he saw the female get closer to him.
Suddenly, it felt like his body was pulled forwards by a cable that had been attached to the middle of his torso. He was then right in front of the wall and stumbled into it just a second later. The male turned and saw that Mai was only a couple feet behind him...he had succeeded.
