Something about Al reminded Taisen of a steamroller. Well, not exactly. He was much faster and significantly stronger. See, Al wasn't big in the way a body builder was considered big. In fact, someone who didn't know him and saw him on the street would probably consider him morbidly obese. But aside from him being almost literally spherical, there was nothing to suggest that he was even the slightest bit unhealthy. The man had the cardio of a diesel train, the muscular endurance of a pack animal, and the strength of. . . something very, very strong. Not to mention he was so fast Taisen had trouble keeping up with the movement of his hands when they weren't moving. But regardless of all this, Taisen stood valiantly in the way and bravely got hit again and again and again.

With vim and vigor, valor and. . . viscosity, the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous, Taisen got punched. He was still more or less trying to dodge, but was really rolling with the punches after the fact, having a distinct bit of difficultly getting out of the way before the punch arrived. Sure, he figured it out for the jab and the cross, and pretty much everything of the new kid, but the beating he was currently receiving was really messing with his retention of new information. Particularly because every time he started to see a pattern, the recognition of that pattern was immediately knocked straight out of him. Maybe if he was given time to rest, or was given a sit-down explanation, he'd have it by now. But clearly Al was just enjoying hitting the guy who kept breaking his bags.

But, wait. What's this? Something about seeing that particular shoulder movement seemed to lead to a hook or something. How could Taisen have both noticed and remembered this particular little thing when not so long ago he realized that he was failing because the knowledge kept getting punched out of him? Because maybe, just maybe, he had gotten punched so many times that the information was now starting to get punched into his head rather than out of it. Eventually hitting a stubborn nail will drive it in, if it's hit just right again and again. Apparently Taisen was the kind of guy for whom the school of hard knocks worked wonders. Or maybe he was just more clever than he gave himself credit for and would have been able to figure this all out without risking concussion.

Whatever Al's reasons for attacking Taisen and expecting him to figure shit out on his own without any explanation, sooner or later it started to work. His hooks were now visible, his combos were now more predictable. While Taisen was still caught more often than he escaped, he was at least starting to get the hang of it. His fogging mind began to clear, his aching jaw began to loosen up, he began to be able to think again. Having the instinct to avoid a small number of hits meant that he could use his reason to solve how to avoid the rest. This realization was a great boost of Taisen's confidence, and unlike with his other boosts, this one actually improved his evading ability even further. Feeling less groggy and more like he almost knew what he was doing, Taisen came back ready for the next round.

Almost there. Almost there. Almost. . . Damn. Got hit again. Taisen fully thought he was going to go a whole round without taking a single hit, since he was starting to see what he was looking for so well. Al was even forced to pull out a number of tricks that he had been saving for the very occasion that Taisen figured out what he was doing. These, unsurprisingly, worked just fine and regressed the pupil a few steps by knocking him the hell around until his eyes spun in their sockets. Somewhere in the room, the sound of a slot machine not hitting money reverberated in Taisen's head as he tried to make the world stop spinning. Stubborn world, for some reason it was really, really bent on just spinning around in front of Taisen, just to confuse him. Maybe it was mocking him for getting hit so much.

When the world around him became a living entity that he actually felt animosity toward because of its twirly mocking of him, Taisen knew that maybe he'd been hit a few times too many. Somewhere in the depths of his subconscious, which was very likely to soon become his unconscious, he made the decision that he should learn to fight drunk in case he ever gets on Al's bad side and has to face the big dude when nothing around him is solid. That, and he secretly hoped that his steadily building headache would go away if he downed enough drinks. Perhaps he'd even take up smoking, just because that would look really cool in his swanky Mizukage suit in his swanky office while holding a swanky drink. Bam, another hit rocks him out of his little fantasy and reminds him that very many pounds of holy shit were still bearing down upon him.

Taisen slipped a jab, very nearly came right into the following uppercut, and very cleverly angled his shoulders so that the ensuing hit never quite came. It was here that Al busted out the dirty boxing and suddenly spun around for a backfist, a move that Taisen wasn't sure was even considered boxing, but was easily evaded. Unlike every single one of Al's other attacks, this one had a huge wind-up time, at least by taijutsu standards, and thus Taisen almost had enough time to consciously think two words before it was time to duck the hell out of there. If a knee came at that point, Taisen would have eaten it with a side of gravy, because he was so damn proud of himself for dipping that little maneuver that he almost started getting cocky about the whole thing.

But, Al always seemed to have more tricks up his sleeve, and the frustrating tendency for him to whip new ones out just as Taisen had figured another out kept both of them on their toes. This time, though, Al really took the cake. The entire time, he'd been fighting southpaw for some reason. Now he stopped just for a moment to verbally smack him one, "Very good, but I know something you don't know." Taisen's befuddled look was the cue Al was waiting for to continue, "I am not left handed." Suddenly, Al's stance was switched and everything came at Taisen at twice the speed and power they had previously been doing. But they were all essentially the exact same moves, just coming from a different angle. With nothing less than a black eye for an adjustment period, Taisen no longer got hit in that ring.

Drawback: Animal will not listen to the user what so ever. May only learn once per animal. If user gets a new animal user must relearn the technique for that specific animal.
Description: To train you must approach, play, feed, etc with the animal. You must love the animal as if it is your buddy. You must train long and hard to gain the trust and of your animal companion. If user has a Small Animal Companion, the user must learn the technique "D" Rank. If user has a Medium Animal Companion, the user must learn the technique "C" Rank. If the user has a Large Animal Companion, the user must learn the technique "B" Rank. If the user has a Huge Animal Companion, the user must learn the technique "A" Rank. Effect: A quick, straight punch thrown with the lead hand from the guard position.

Description: Picture Stand with your feet hip distance apart. Step your right foot back 18-24 inches with the weight of your right leg on the ball of your foot (right heel is somewhat elevated and the knees are slightly bent). Bring your right fist close to your right cheek bone and your left fist slightly in front of it about jaw height. Pull your elbows in towards your ribs so that they line up somewhat below your fists. Push off of the ball of the right foot, bend the left knee slightly and start to extend the left hand in a pushing type motion (there should be a subtle rotation as your left hand goes forward your right shoulder moves back). You may also rotate the fist so that when it reaches the desired destination your left palm will be facing down. Retract the left hand as fast as you extended it and return to the original position. Remember before punching relax the hand, snap it forward and clinch before making contact. Do your best to strike with the first two knuckles and keep your wrist in neutral position upon impact. Aim six to eight inches beyond your target. Extend the arm only about 90-95 percent. Keep your chin tucked down toward your chest--this protects your jaw from exposure to being hit. Bring your hand back as fast as you throw it. Move your head on an angle as you throw the punch.
Limit: Must learn in a gym that teaches Bokushingu (Boxing), Must know Upright Stance or Semi-Crouch

This all happened right after the race against Termis Tai. "Nee~so who are you?" a gargantuan black wolf padded towards the young girl. Though they were in a Boxing gym, no one seemed to take notice of the girl garbed in bright orange, nor the wolf furred black. She couldn't really understand what he meant, but he indicated that he wanted the girl to follow, then ran off into the forest.

Akiko sprouted her wings, then followed as best she could, knowing that she couldn't hope to keep up on foot. She had been recovered after the race, and the break-a-thon, but still wasn't able to repeat her super-run technique. They zoomed over the fetid land, and eventually passed through a small o-Tera.

Before long, they came across a dilapidated shrine to some forgotten forest god. Moss crawlled all over it, leaving it recognizable only to the trained eye. Sunken Jizo could also be found. Clearly, this was once the home to the guardian god of this forest, far outside the swamp that clung around the village. None of the fetor or decay made it this far out, leaving the ground moist but hard, with low-lying platforms forming the underbrush.

The light streamed in from the large tree the shrine was set against, or in, rather. It seemed that the tree had grown up and around the shrine. There was a small stone pedestal at the foot of the shrine, likely for the worshippers of this forgotten god to make their offerings for a plentiful harvest, or some such. The kanji of the god's name was worn away, if ever it was carved at all.

The wolf went and lay down near the shrine. It's great eyes looked at Akiko. "That must be the shrine of the forest god, and your home isnt it?" The wolf looked at Akiko, but gave no indication as to the truthfullness of her statement. A loud breaking sound came from the right. Both child and beast looked up towards the source of the noise.

A great boar had broken through an old rotting log, and was readying to attack, Akiko could tell by it's mannerisms. Akiko moved forward and began to form the handseals for a jutsu, but was stopped by a large black furred arm. The large wolf stood up and moved forward. Not snarling, nor bearing it's fangs. Its great golden eyes were calm and steady, steely.

The boar charged, only for the wolf to skip to the inside to dodge it's tusks. The great wolf then wrapped one hand around a tusk, then slammed his other hand down upon it's head in a heavy blow. As the beast tried to recover, the large wolf pinned one of it's tusks down and preceeded to pummel the beast into submission.

He displayed his monstrous strength and speed to it's fullest, unleashing a hailstorm of iron blows down upon the boar's head. This was no ordinary wolf. But this fight was far to one sided. Akiko dissolved into a blur, reappearing on top of the badly beaten boar's head. "Enough!" Her eyes were resolute, "Just let it go!"

The great wolf stopped mid-strike. The corners of his mouth pulled back in a sort of bestial smile. He pulled back and began to, was that laughter? It certainly resembled it, but it sounded so forign one couldn't be sure. He turned around and walked away. Relieved, Akiko hopped down from the boar's head. The then followed towards the wolf.

A sound of rapid movement behind her caught her attention. She spun around to see the over-large boar had climbed to it's feet and now charged towards her. There was no time for handseals. Not that it really mattered. Akiko was frozen, like a deer in headlights. She couldn't even put together a cohearent-enough though to use instant movement. She saw her life flash before her eyes, capped with her being gored on the tusks of a giant boar.

A solid black blur materialized and with one hand, forced the offending tusk deep into the earth. So deep, in fact, that between the forcing down and the thickness of the earth, the tusk broke off. In the same instant, a massive, furry fist slammed into the side of the boar's head. The raw force of the blow lifted the beast and threw it quite aways.

The large wolf stood valiantly in the sunlight, the sun about half-eclipsed by it's Sillhouet.

The gargantuan boar was unconscious, and the wolf had returned to all fours, padding back towards the shrine.  Akiko glanced towards the fallen beast, then back to the large wolf.  "Nee," she said, walking towards the massive black canine, "Yer pretty strong," her eyes flickered down between his legs, "Nii-San."  

He glanced to the empty air beside him, raising an eyebrow as he realized where she had glanced, then looked back at the human cub with gold head-fur.  She was cute, and she was interesting, to say the least.  It was extraordinary for one as young in flesh as she to challenge and defeat her elder in any sort of contest, even among her kind, and certainly among his.

"Hey, hey, Nii-San.  D'ya wanna be my Nakama?"  She looked up at the large wolf, two pieces of wrapped hard candy sitting in her palm.  He chuckled to himself and used one of his dexterous fingers together with its brother opposable thumb to pluck one of the candy from her hand.

With a nod of his large head, he unwrapped the candy and placed the sphere into his mouth.  It was salty and sweet.  The human cub did the same.  "Heh heh, Nakama!" She said, her tiny face lit up with joy.  She was certainly an interesting kid.  She saved that boar from being pummeled to death, and she wanted to be friends with a wild animal. Certainly interesting indeed.

The one-tusked boar stood again.  It was persistent, but that would be it's undoing.  Though it was brave, or else foolhardy, if it could not see that it was intruding on his home, then it would perish.  He stood up, moving back to his rear legs and towering above the boar.  He simply looked at the beast, daring it to make a move.

He bore his teeth at this intruder.  And the beast charged.  No doubt it sought nothing more than land and food for it's young, but it staked it's claim on the wrong spot.  This land was spoken for, and it's owner would not give it up without a fight.  The beast charged, but with only one tusk, its fate was already known.  

As it reached him, he punched the side of it's head, and as it's tusk lowered, he pinned it to the ground much as he did before.  Though it's speed and force this time were reduced, there was still enough to drive it deep into the soft earth.  

This time, the tusk held solid, and the boar was stuck in the ground. With his opponent stuck, the gargantuan wolf lay into it with his fists, hammering away at it's skull like nothing else. After some time, he finally stepped away. The boar lay unmoving. Sometime during the flurry, the second tusk had broken off.
