Layla gave his back a half pout as he would rise himself up and away from her saying he needed to take care of the noise out front, 'pity, and it had been going so well I think.' she mused as she would try to gauge if she needed to get more tea cups or not. It was the clue of footsteps coming into the house deeper that would allow her to figure out if she needed more tea cups or not, she would move and move over to the cabinets and rumble though them. She would find her tea cups, three of them, she would take all three down, and move back to the table, place them around at the empty spots as he would explain who she was. She would smile at the pair of girls before half bowing to them, her hands folded downwards in a polite greeting. “Welcome to our home. I am well, Miss Sakurai. How are you and your friend?”

Unaffected by the jutsu, but none the wiser, Andromeda scrunched her brow and heaved a small sigh. "Uhm...you know..I actually uh..." She began to back out quickly, his sudden willingness for the company of an unannounced stranger could be interpreted as helpful, especially to a fellow nin. However she just... wasn't exactly comfortable with the whole ordeal. "Bu you are very very very very very very very nice Mr. Gosei." She was double timing backwards down the walk way.

"You, and Ms. Claire here, have a lovely day!" As she backed away, she kept her eyes on him, looking for anything suspicious, questionable or otherwise unsafe, as she had been told by the same girl willing to go in, that he should be watched. his reply of 'I'm right here...' hadn't been that friendly either. When she was out of sufficient viewing distance she would turn and beeline off the property, slowed momentarily by the roses. "Oh...pretty..." The black roses were especially... "Wait..." She shook her head and exited the vicinity post haste.

You would notice the hand behind Gosei's back had juggled for some reason. The shoulders and arm telegraphed this movement but as to why, who's to say. Perhaps someone versed in a knowledge of some type. But for all you know he had a scratch on his back.

You find Gosei not to be lying about anything. Furthermore you find him to not have any ill intentions, in fact from what it looks like he is rather charming.

Know Ability Success:
You can tell from Gosei's body as you give him a quick once over, how fast he is in terms of movements and a rough estimate of handseal speed. The hands are very telling this way, also you can tell what he specializes in from smaller details like how he holds himself, his posture, and how nimble he is.

hortly after his invitation one of the girls took off, such a shame, she would have been a most fine addition to the team. Behind the serene face Gosei's mood went from complacent too absolutely seething with rage. Breathing a few times to regain his calm he would look how she rushed away to a location far away from Gosei. He would get her on his team eventually, he would for now practice his most valuable skill: Patience. It was time to focus on Claire first, she deserved that for not only showing up but also for cooperating so far without a doubt. She deserved his undivided focus, knowledge and mentorship.

Inside Layla had prepared on for a certain amount of people, probably based on what she could hear yet with one having taken off she had overprepared. "Unfortunately her friend ran off. She got scared at the last moment I guess. It is okay though, will attend to that later." he said with quite a neutral voice. "Please, take a seat." he said, waving in the general direction of the seats in the living. The Kazeraikou would wait until Claire had settled herself before sitting down on his own spot on the sofa. "So, tell me Claire, what are your dreams and goals? What are you working towards?"

Her friend? Claire smiled wryly. She didn't have any friends, perhaps due to her singleminded focus on her goal in the academy, even before and beyond. No...she didn't have any friends, but she had an entire village of comrades. That was enough.

She sat as commanded, crossing her legs, and stared toward the cieling. "Dreams of the future, huh? I suppose this is where I say something...grand, maybe inspiring, like wanting to become Hokage. It's not a bad goal, and I believe it - but it's not mine. I'm simpler than that. I just want to be a soldier. No, the best soldier. Climbing the ranks is something I don't care about one way or the other, but I'm sure it'll come on its own." She brushed her rose colored hair out from in front of her eyes again, gripped the hilt of Struggle with her other hand.

For now at least, the tea would go ignored.

Flying in from high in the clouds Amarante had decided that it was time to speak with an old friend of hers, Gosei. She had since become a higher power in the village since seeing him last, she was now the Hokage as well as the Chief of the Military Police, she held an insane amount of power though it wasn't something that she was rather interested in. Whether she had a little or a lot, she enjoyed the power though it was a fleeting enjoyment. She only ever used it to serve as entertainment for her whims so it was about time she have a chat with Gosei about sharing. Landing she fixed her hair up, fondling the bun on her head until she was satisfied it looked presentable. Her long blonde hair was up in a high pony tail, long bangs flowing a frame to her face, a black boob tube as a shirt, a very slim top, and a pair of beige-brown cargo pants. She wasn't wearing shoes at this point in time, not that she felt she had to as she was flying everywhere. Retracting her wings she'd knock gently on the door, waiting approximately three seconds before letting herself in.

If she were to encounter him she would greet the butler politely and continue forward, assuming that she was of course welcome in this place she felt as safe as she could be. If there were no interruptions she'd traverse the building to the kitchen, assuming that she'd walk in on Layla and Gosei playing tonsil hockey over a few cups of tea. Instead she would find that the two were not alone, and she'd hear mention of the notion of Hokage. "Hokage huh? Guess that's where I come in" she'd pipe up, making her entrance. She'd take a seat at the table, passing through the room and eying everyone in attendance [Observation check on all three individuals]. Assuming she was not stopped from doing so she would greet Layla, stating it was a pleasure to see her, and then take the tea that was offered to Lightning and drink it as her own. Taking a mouthful, sipping the beverage ever so quietly, she would take another moment to observe those in attendance [start know ability check - 1 round time].

She would then begin to reprimand Lightning after this check and speak critically of her. "So the girl wants to be a soldier? Give up, a weakling like you wouldn't survive even the smallest of battles. Cling unto Gosei's coattails until you get a little bit of strength, then dream of being a soldier. Until then you're just baggage." She'd take a second sip, ignoring if Lightning had spoken at all. "Gosei I feel as though we should speak of my new role within the village and your lack their of" she state, taking another quiet sip and awaiting his response.

Leaving so suddenly before had been rude, but then again she just got a funny feeling from the man known as Gosei. When she saw the mansion in view she also caught sight of a winged figure landing and entering. "Interesting company he keeps." She noted. From how she had observed him earlier he definitely seemed capable, that was o say the least, but then again she would need to make sure he was at least as capable as he looked. Jogging over quickly her items jostled in her bag: A small field back backpack, an auto-injector backpack beneath, a few vials, empty, two utility belts, a cloak and a robe.

At that time she knocked promptly, and presuming that the butler would anser and allow her in, she would make sure to not touch anything on her way in and through the halls. In fact she would follow the sounds of voices till she found herself at the room where the Kage, Gosei, Layla and Claire. "Well...room is awfully full..." Clearing her throat slightly she raised her tone enough to hopefully catch attention. "Excuse me?" She said in a timid tone. Should it be sufficient she would continue. "I wanted to come back and apologise for leaving so suddenly. It was rude of me, and that was not how I wished you to remember me." She bowed deeply, unknowingly in the presence of the current Kage.

When she was upright she scanned the room, taking Clair, Layla and the Kage into mind, taking in absolutely every bit of information she could on them. Even if spoken to she wouldnt reply for several seconds, making sure to take in everything. This is presuming she even got this far.

ne of the advantages of having a mansion with a huge impressing façade was that everyone knew who you were and where you live. Painfully this was also at the moment Gosei's greatest diadvantage as once again Amarante swooped in without so much of a warning proceeding to not only once again severely interrupt what the Godaime was doing but also stealing beverages. For a moment the Kazeraikou seriously thought about investing heavily in more locks. "We were all once the epitome of weakness. Give it all some time and each of us can become what they dreamt of becoming. I like your views and goals Claire, you seem to favour development of yourself over aspiring worldly gains. The latter should naturally flow from the former and not the other way around." He would not dignify Amarantes crack down on his Genin with a response. In essence it was true, though it did not had to be stated this way. "What's wrong with my role? I like playing 'the man on the silver mountain'. Sometimes I do a little diplomatic mission, work on training shinobi and now I can finally dedicate some time to other things I like. I wanted to get into painting or something like that."

Then to make matters even more interesting than they already were the girl from earlier had returned on her own accord. She was shown in by the butler who eyed the group that had gathered, sighed and walked into the kitchen. "Welcome back Andromeda, it is no problem. I assume this was all too new and sudden for you, take a seat, we have tea for you and I think James is working on those cookies I promised." The Kazeraikou said, sweeping his arm nonchalantly at the few remaining seats in the room. "I have the same question for you as I had for Claire, Andromeda: What are your dreams and goals? What drives you?" Shortly James returned from the kitchen, placing a big place filled with chocolate chip and blueberry cookies before walking back to the kitchen. This was turning out to become quite the tea party all of a sudden.

The current Hokage herself made a grand and dramatic entry within precisely the timeframe of Claire's statement about having no desires toward the office. Merely a steward at current, undignified with a number, Hokage Amarante still struck an imposing figure. Willowy and with long blonde lockes, she wouldn't be so impressive on appearance alone. And yet...the pressure she gave off was overwhelming, like she was sure Gosei's would be if he weren't holding it in check.

The words flung harshly at the Last Scion of the Sakurai stung, whispering sweetly to all her private fears, but it was the truth. She was weak still. She knew that. Perhaps the weakest person in the room, if her suspicions were correct. She tried to keep watch of everyone, see what she could discern, but it was difficult. Their energies weighed on her mind. [Observation Check VS All @ 10 Skill. Yes, even James and Layla. Because why not?]

And yet, Hokage Amarante's predecessor stood in her defense. Why? She couldn't understand how his mind worked, what his relationship with his successor was like that they could chat like old friends while emanating such intense power. She was weak, her goals were simple, but he approved of them. The Silver Man on the Mountain. It didn't make sense. Gosei as a whole didn't make sense. But the mountain was sure. Everyone present, barring perhaps the manservant James, stood atop mountains of strength unreachable to current Claire.

"I understand, Ma'am. Sir. I'll try not to disappoint. Thank you.
The pink-topped head bobbed something resembling a seated bow, the face struggling to remain impassive despite the presence of powers beyond her ken both in wild potency and in societal authority, the sharp strike against her pride, and the swelling of hope offered by her new master. Maybe he wouldn't be so bad, even if he was a slippery fellow.

When he addressed the returning Mamimei, she listened with interest. The girl was unstable at best, schizophrenic at worst. This should be interesting.

It suuuuure was getting quiet in here. When gestured towards a seat, she took the initiative and pulled out her own chair. "What drives me?" She said aloud, her eyes going distant as she recalled her very first day in Konohagakure. A fire in the village on her way to deliver a package. People were scattered everywhere trying to come together to help put out the fire. It wasnt even until she saw how tall the fire spiraled into the sky, that she cast aside her mission parcel and ran into the smoking vicinity. Arms reached out of a window, thrusting something into her arms, a body, a baby, it was their baby.

Without knowing so Andromeda was back on her feet, her burgundy eys wide and distant a she clutched her arms to her chest, much like she had the baby in her memories. "I...I don want to see people suffer anymore." Her fingers tightened in the front of her sweater. "That's my goal, that's what drives me" Her knuckles were bright white against her skin, clenching till her hands ached though she ignored the pain. When the cookies arrived she was transported from he plague in her memories, to he training field where it had rained cookies. Thankfully there were blueberries, Andromeda had had quite enough chocolate for one day. In fact, she had herbs she needed to be hunting. Immediately.

Falling back into her seat, the medic began to pile her hand with cookies, turning them over in her hand before taking are large bite. "Oh gods..." She muffled around a mouthful of cooked dough and berries. "These are...mmhhhnn.." she took several large bites in succession, coughing and sputtering as she inhaled a few crumbs, her eyes watering in the process. "So...good.." She hacked, holding up a hand to signal she was quite alright.

Observation checks were not done because there wasn't anything specified to be observed, except in the case of Amarante. She would see the sword being gripped but not due to outstanding observation, but due to the fact that Lightning was not hiding her actions. Anyone could observe this who had eyesight.

he other Genin also seemed to have a goal, that was good, those who wandered aimlessly through life achieve nothing, a little gem of wisdom Gosei had learned from personal experience. It was the sole reason why Gosei usually stood in defence of those Genin with potential who were spoken down to by the village brass. It had been a fun time for Gosei though, at the head of a little band of con-artists he had travelled the country. Fun, but he had not achieved anything in those years. "I see... You both seek strength, one to better herself and the other to better the lives of others. The direction is not important, the path is." Gosei said, placing his cup back onto the table, now devoid of tea. "It is a saying: The strong do what they can and the weak must suffer what they must. It is time to get you to move from the latter category to the former."

Getting up from his chair once Andromeda had chowed down all the cookies -which in all honesty did not take very long- he would beckon the Genin to follow him. "Follow me to the backyard, let's have a little spar, the two of you against me, I want to see what you can do.". Opening the door to the gardens the Godaime would take up a position on the grass, about thirty meters from the house just to be sure. He just expected the others to follow him, without looking back so much. "Do not worry, I shall hold back quite a bit." A slight familiar earthly tremor followed his feet as he moved, clearly the Kazeraikou was not the only one ready for this.

I'll hold back. Yeah, real reassuring. Translation: you won't die, but no promises I wont break every bone in your body twice. Claire affixed the former Hokage with a look hovering somewhere between disdain and absolute horror. This? This would not end well. The rose-haired girl forced herself to calm down though, slowly. If she held any tighter to the hilt of her club she might well snap it in two.

A terse nod acknowledged the order. It could not be refused, but the Last Scion of the Sakurai did not trust herself to speak just yet. Still, one had to admit that his reasoning around strength made a terrifying amount of sense. It didn't seem like the ideology of a hero, but it resonated within her all the same. She was weak. He wanted to make her strong. If she was strong, she could fulfill her dreams, and protect everyone she cared about. Like her mother once did, before being chased away in disgrace.

She grabbed the teacup set before her as she stood, downing its entire contents in a single gulp now that it were cooled sufficiently, and followed Gosei to his spacious yard, where she would stand opposite him by twenty meters. The wind rustled the grass gently.

"I'm still fairly limited yet. How do you want to do this?"

"Spar?" She murmured around a mouthful of cookie. She knew Gosei was nimble, and sneaky. Her observation of him had been rather thorough but he was not taking no for an answer. Claire seemed to share in her disdain but followed the former Kage out to his backyard. Maybe it was a fighter thing? Honor and all that goodness, but Andromeda was a life saver, no a life taker. When Claire Stopped 20 meters away from Gosei, Andromeda stepped up beside her, turning her head to face the bright haired girl.

"I can only heal, I dont actually fight." She whispered. Her auto-injector pack whined with the protest of its empty vials, but she ignored it. "I will try to keep you...invigorated, thats the best I can offer you right now, I am sorry." When Gosei turned and faced them the medic charged her chakra, her body humming with power. Her healing hands technique was rumbling through her body for the next 6 turns, and should Claire ever touch her, should would receive a potent blast of healing Chakra.

"If her hurts you..touch me, I will heal you." She was suddenly very serious, her eyes locked on Gosei. What did he get out of this? A man of his power against lowly genin...a bully.

ne claimed not to able to fight, the other wanted to know the rules of engagement. "Then what do you intend to do if you ever find yourself alone? As a shinobi you should be able to fight to at least save yourself, if not others too." The Godaime formed a few handseals, performing a summoning technique with far too little chakra. Instead of the serpent he would normally summon he only achieved at bringing a rainbow coloured feather into this realm. "Some train for days and become very strong, only to fail when the moment suprême arrives, I want to see how the both of you perform, nothing more. I want to see your areas of improvement." He stated as he tied the feather in his hair on the left side of his face. "Try to hit or touch this feather, I will mainly try to defend. Give it your best shot, see how far you can push me."

In hindsight, twenty meters was probably too far off to hear well, but Gosei experienced no such difficulty. His own speech bore an authoritative timbre which crossed distances easily. She trembled with a sudden thrill, grinning slightly. Touch the feather. No specifications on how. Was she insane, getting excited like this now that the moment had come? Perhaps she was, a bit. Or perhaps the childish wonder and glee she sought to suppress for the sake of efficiency would not be denied in this moment. Either way, the results were the same.

She hadn't brought any of her equipment besides Struggle and her greaves, but that was alright. No point wasting consumables on a battle with a Friendly. Andromeda, towering at her side, claimed that a touch would be all it took to reinvigorate her after receiving damage, and so the Sakurai positioned the medic at her left side, leaving her right free to draw her primary weapon.

"Yes, sir. Touch the feather. Orders confirmed."

Where in training she was slow, her fingers now twined together with practiced speed, formulating the chakra necessary to charge the air around her with electricity. Even as the seals were still being formed, shards of thunder began to wink into existence around the rose-maned genin at around three meters distance. In one and a half seconds, a defensive field of electricity she could manipulate freely within fifteen meters had formed around the girls, shining like hundreds of blue-white petals of a cherry blossom.

She condensed this field around herself closely as she began another string of handseals, careful to drag the blossoms around her ally rather than through. Upon their completion, she raised her cupped hand to her lips and breathed a vicious gout of flame, scattering the blossoms in front of her face to allow it space to surge. It swirled into itself as it traveled forward, forming into a massive orb three times her own size in radius which blasted toward the former Kage. Severing the connection of her chakra that it might fly forward freely, it would explode upon impact with either Gosei himself or else his beloved manor in the event he dodged. A cheap trick perhaps, but even though she was confident he could easily absorb the potentially-lethal hit, if he did so his feather would be incinerated for sure. A loose definition of "hit", but still a "hit".

But she wasn't finished with only this. Claire's left hand shot out to touch Andromeda, again moving the Sakurai petals which bore her surname out of the way, that she might claim this extra energy as it would be sorely needed and surged forward behind her own ball of flame. Indeed, the fireball was in truth merely a distraction that she could move unobserved in its wake before the explosion. In a single fluid motion, she chased the fireball to Gosei while her right hand reached behind her to grasp the curved hilt of Struggle and draw it from its place hanging behind her thighs, flipping it into an upright position one-handed. She would attempt to circle around the kage and swing from behind, all while allowing her Sakurai petals free reign to explode back out to their original distance of three meters around her in hopes that she might incur a shock to the man and reduce his ability to defend his feather.

She remained wary of any tricks he might pull, but knew that if he were to go on the offensive it would be over immediately since she had yet to master the rapid-movement techniques so valuable to evasion.

The petals last until the user chooses to dispel them. The user can control these techniques in a fifteen meter radius around them.

Effect: The user is capable of performing a few handseals in which gives them the capability of blowing a large body of fire in size of a large sphere that has great fire proportions and explosive capabilities.

Drawback: Depending on the Rank, is dependent on how strong or how much the user is capable of doing with the Goukakyuu no Jutsu.
Description: The user quickly performs a few handseals. The user then places the hand over their mouth creating a small like circle. This technique in turn is then to help the user control the great flame. The use then blows out and creates a large fireball that twice the size of a normal human body. When the "C" Rank version is first learned the user is only capable of blowing out the Great Fireball that is cannot be moved or go anywhere else. This also means that the technique does not explode in a fiery explosion, but burns greatly to anyone that is caught within the technique. When the user learns the "B" Rank version then the user is capable blowing the Great Fireball into the distance, sending it away from the use it to hurl towards the very opponent. This technique is only capable of going into a straight line and this is capable of having the size three times the size of a human body. This technique when launched at an opponent then becomes dangerous because at this point the technique can explode causing damage that is even more devastating.

Upon Gosei's words Amarate couldn't help but scoff slightly. It would appear as though he was content with letting her take care of Ashi Uchiha, either that or he just didn't feel like speaking in front of the genin. She chose to believe the latter. He then chose to ask of the genin's dreams and aspirations, receiving the same cliché answers one would expect of a genin. Boring. She decided to keep quiet and let things unfold as they would, taking a dulled sip of her tea. Soon mention of a spar to test the abilities of the genin was announced and while Amarante thought it stupid as they were both weak, one stronger than the other, it at least was capable of bearing interesting fruit. She would not however move out to the yard to follow them, opting to instead stay inside with Layla with her slightly stolen tea. If things continued to be quiet out there she would go out herself and make them interesting but small talk with Layla at this point was of course entertaining.

Claire seemed...eager, and by Andromeda's yes, very capable. The fact remained however, that she was just severely outclassed by Gosei, including Andromeda herself. With a few seals Claire had summoned a glowing field around herself and the medic tons and tons of little lightning petals hovering. Next was a MASSIVE fireball that made Andromeda take a small step back. "Woah..." She hardly even noticed how cramped the space was getting till she touched a petal and yelped, jerking back into Claire' left arm.

Single minded in this plan did Claire seem, and Andromdea merely charged in with her, forming a scalpel along her hand. Her jutsu could make the blade painless, though she was sure Gosei would just...hurt her. She was highly against being an aggressor...but it had to be done.

Description: Picture The user creates chakra blade along the index and middle finger that is no longer than 1 inch long. This allows the user to create a highly precise cutting tool. This can be used for highly accurate incisions necessary for surgeries and anatomical dissections. Unlike regular scalpels, the Chakra Scalpel can make cuts inside the body without actually creating a wound, limiting the risks of infection. The chakra scalpel can also be used offensively, although it requires great precision to be effective. Because of this requirement, using the chakra scalpel offensively is highly unusual. In heated combat, even the greatest Medical Doctors will not be able to exert the precision needed to make fatal cuts, but it can still effectively cut muscle tissues and tendons, rendering the target immobile.
