The New Kirigakure Taijutsu Training Facility

A nondescript concrete building, the New Kirigakure Taijutsu Training Facility is a large cubular cement building with a direct access path to the Medical complex. From the outside, the building is completely average; solid reinforced cement walls, a sloped sheet metal roof, and a few large triple pane windows to let in light. The inside's structure is about as complex. Speaking of the structure alone, aside from the elements that are visible on the outer structure, the inside is dominated by a large central area with virtually every training device one could possibly need. It is not as advanced as the newer Supercolliding Superdojo, but it serves it's purpose.

A section of the building is sectioned off and functions as an office for those that run the New Kirigakure Taijutsu Training Facility. On the opposite end another, much larger, area is sectioned off and divided in half to function as a locker and shower room, separated by gender.

The Cross/The Straight

Effect: A powerful, straight punch thrown with the rear hand.

Description: Picture Determine which hand is your strong hand. Although you can throw a straight hand punch with either your left or right hand, it will be most effective if you use your strongest hand. Most right-handed fighters have a stronger right hand, while left-handed fighters have stronger left hands. Get into a basic boxing stance. Keep your feet shoulder-width apart with your knees slightly bent. If you are right-handed, your left shoulder should be pointed toward the other fighter and your right shoulder should be back. The opposite is true if you are left-handed. Keep both hands up. They should hover just under the chin, with your forearms in front of your body. This will protect you from the opponent's punches. Begin the straight hand punch from the foot. Push off your back foot and pivot toward your opponent, twisting your foot, leg, torso and shoulders. Concentrate on bringing power up from your leg, hips, trunk and shoulders and channeling it into your fist as you twist your body. If you don't pivot your body, your punch will be much weaker than if you use the correct form. Aim for the other fighter's face. Punch out in a straight line and extend the arm out all the way. At the point of impact, your feet and body should be facing the other fighter. Snap your hand back to your chin as you twist your body back to the beginning position. Remember to keep your left hand up throughout the punch so you have a guard up to protect you from a counterpunch.

The New Kirigake Mixed Martial Arts Gymnasium. A large building located conveniently near the Kirigakure Medical Complex. So near, in fact, that there was a moving sidewalk connecting the two facilities. But despite these facts, the gym’s nondescript exterior and minimalist interior prevented the facility from gaining any proper sort of popularity.

“So,” a tall woman with long, dark hair said, you want your Wolf to learn how to Box?” Akiko nodded in the affirmative. The woman looked at the wolf for a bit, then looked down at Akiko. “Hm…Ok, I’ll teach your furry friend how to box. But you’ll be his sparring partner. You look like you could use some meat on your bones anyway. Before Akiko could object, the woman grabbed her and threw her into the ring.

“You! Get in the ring too!” She commanded Omori. The bipedal wolf climbed into the ring while Akiko’s head still swam. “Now, strike your boxing pose!” Omori meekly sprang back onto his back feet and assumed a stance with a wide footing and a half-crouched build. “Not bad furball,” the woman walked up to the edge of the ring and began to coach Omori on the first two basic punches, the jab and the straight.

“Ok, now have at it!” The sudden start caught Akiko off guard, but she was able to clear her head just in time. And not a moment too soon. Omori was already on top of her, bearing down with a blow that had his full weight behind it. Akiko shifted her weight back, kicking off the ground to dodge the blow. The furry knuckles missed her nose by millimeters.

“Oy!” The woman yelled, “keep yer head in the game kiddo!!” She was right. That blow would have knocked her for a loop had it connected. She couldn’t afford to get hit by something like that. And she needed to get stronger. There was no other option.

Omori paused for a second, just a split instant, but it was that exact time that Akiko saw her opening and counterattacked. She flew through a simple chain of handseals that had long since become second nature. In a whisper of sparks and the crackle of electricity, 75 bird, crafted of the finest lightning chakra of a ration master, were summoned into existence.

But before she could attack with her masterful work, her concentration was obliterated by a boxing glove that collided with her head at high speed. Without the benefit of her focus, the crafted creatures vanished back into the ether. “Stick with Taijutsu!” This was Taijutsu training after all

Akiko recovered just in time to avoid a straight punch from Omori. She skipped to the outside, the blow breezing by her cheek. It was then that Akiko realized he was going easy on her; a sweet sentiment, but insulting and pointless all the same.

“No holding back Omori!!” It was pointless for either of them to hold back in this. If they did, Akiko wouldn’t ever be able to improve, and Omori wouldn’t be able to master these punches. The bipedal wolf hesitated for a moment, then quickly closed the distance. In a flash, he unleashed a swift blow that crossed his own body to build speed and force. Akiko tried to dodge by moving to the outside, but she wasn’t fast enough.

The wolf’s knuckles caught the little girl on the cheekbone. The momentum coursed into Akiko from the point of contact. Her muscles tensed for a moment, then went limp as she momentarily lost consciousness.

Her head and neck absorbed the bulk of the impact; resisting at first, then twisting and turning away from the punch and down as her head accelerated faster than the rest of her. As her head twisted to an unhealthy angle, the latent tension in her body began to spread the momentum current through her body.

First came the upper torso, the arms like wet spaghetti in the wind. Next was the lower body and the legs, spread by the momentum of the spin. For what could have been a few seconds, Akiko clipped through the air with the greatest of east.

Everything was deathly quitet while she hung in the air. And she landed on the old mat with a loud slap, front first. A moment of silent disbelief passed, Akiko’s body unmoving.

Akiko slowly began to move, pulling herself back to her feet. Akiko, her heterocromatic green eyes steely, struck up a pose in imitation of the one Omori used. I need to get stronger. "Here I go." Not waiting for Omori to attack, Akiko charged him, using Henge to transform into a 17 year old version of herself to help bridge the reach gap and closed the range with ground contraction.

She was crouched low when she came to a stop, and while she was inside his reach, she was also within his blindspot. Using the muscles in her legs alongside those everywhere else, Akiko sprang up and drove her knuckles into his lower jaw. The blow knocked him back, forcing his head up and breaking his stance at the same time.

As he tried to recover, Akiko shifted her weight and threw a left handed hook at his chest. A chakra nimbus boosted her strength and when the blow impacted, sent the wolf flying back to the ropes. As Akiko closed the gap on foot, preparing for a high right hook the the top of his head, Omori recovered from the sudden assault.

He used his left arm to guard high against Akiko's own blow. His next move was a low right straight which was aimed at her ribcage. The heavy blow landed strong and knocked the wind out of the transformed girl. It was only by force of will, and the fact that Omori still was holding something back that Akiko was able to maintain the transformation.

The force still stunned her though, and knocked her back a step or two. Omori seized the chance and kept the distance close. Akiko tried to fight back, to stop his advance, but Omori ducked under it and struck at her torso again. The blow landed on the same spot as before. Akiko felt something give, and wasn't knocked back as far, though it hurt twice as much.

Her jutsu nearly came undone, but somehow she managed to hold it together one more time. But though her current form was an illusion, it was one that fooled even reality, making her solid. And it didn't reduce the pain nor the damage any. Omori had wanted to get stronger. And Akiko did too. Neither one of them could simply stop.

Akiko recovered her footing and charged. Omori advanced as well. Akiko built up chakra in her right hand and swung at Omori's head. As she did, a thought raced through her head: damn, I can't fight as well as him. I need to watch his attacks better. Omori led with his right this time.

It was a fast jab, aiming for the same spot as before. But Akiko could anticipate it this time, she shifted her left foot back and took weight as the blow was connected, reducing the impact somewhat, though she still heard a small crack as Omori's fist landed. But just when she thought she was safe, Omori followed up with a left hook, the knuckles headed straight for her face. It was too fast, she couldn't dodge like this. So instead she began to arch her back and tilted her head up, trying to reduce the relative velocity.

It worked...to an extent. The blow still landed, catching Akiko on the chin and knocking her into the air. The blow caused her brain to compress against the inside of the skull. Her jutsu came undone as soon as the blow hit, and the tiny girl flew through the air only to bounce off the ropes at the far end of the ring and fall to the mat.

The Hook

It went Silent. This gym hadn’t been the most popular place, and it was mostly empty. Of those who were in there, almost all of them had stopped to watch the 5 year old girl spar with a 7+ foot tall bipedal wolf.

Of those who didn’t stop, the soon did when the heard her impact the mat, and the building growing silent. All the men and women gathered around the ring, as Omori took a few steps back. The instructor broke out of her stupor and began to climb past the ropes.

But as she did so, one of Akiko’s fingers twitched. And it twitched again. And it twitched twice in a row.

Her hand clenched, then released. Akiko raised one arm, twisting her body to get it higher, then placed the palm down on the mat, leaving the arm itself vertical as a support. The genin then repeated the action with her left arm; she raised it and placed the palm of the hand on the mat. This arm, too, remained mostly up and down.

Akiko leaned her weight onto her arms, and pushed downward. As her arms began to straighten, her body lifted at the same time. The straight this put on her body so soon after being knocked unconscious was visible on her face.

Despite the strain, she continued; as soon as she lifted her abdomen off the mat, Akiko twisted her body and swung her right leg under her body. She then rotated her weight back to the leg and began to straighten I out. As she did so, she brought the other leg up to help support her weight. With one last exertion, little Akiko-chan made it to her feet.

“Let’s,” she panted after regaining her footing, “keep going.: Akiko squared her shoulders, trying to stand tall at under 4 feet. She widened her footing, clenched her fists, and prepared to keep fighting.

Nightmarish memories of that day floated into her swimming head. That man and his terrifying strength; that massive sword of his and the destruction it unleashed. It terrified her. But there was something that terrified her more.

I’ve got to get stronger, to protect Aniki. To protect everyone! The thought of being unable to protect someone close to her, the thought of being unable to protect anyone within her gaze at all, terrified her. That’s why she was so determined to keep training. Even if the woman hadn’t forced this on her, she would have volunteered to learn to fight anyway.

A loud cheer erupted from the crowd. They had no clue what was really going on, but they couldn’t help but cheer for the little girl. Heartened by Akiko’s recovery, the instructor returned to her place on the sidelines. “Continue!” the woman yelled. Both shinobi and companion returned to their ready positions and prepared to pick up where they left off. They could tell the other was ready, and so the spar began again.

Omori lead off with a slow jab, trying not to repeat his earlier mistake. But when he saw that look of determination in Akiko’s eyes, he realized that wouldn’t work. Not only would it slow down their training, Akiko would also take it as an insult.

But she didn’t, despite how it might seem. She actually just found it really aggravating how easily she blacked out, even for a second. She couldn’t let that happen again. And she needed Omori to go all out so she could improve her reaction speed. Otherwise she wouldn’t be able to protect anyone. And she couldn’t let that be.

Omori crouched down, then used his powerful hind legs to propel himself forward at top speed. He reached Akiko in an instant, and threw a quick punch straight at Akiko’s face. But it had only limited strength; even though Akiko took it to the face, she turned her head so it struck the cheek, and rolled with the momentum.

Akiko moved toward Omori, taking him inside her poor reach. Her hand glowed with a powerful nimbus, and the punched Omori in the abdomen with full force. The blow knocked him far back, sending him flying into the ropes on the far side of the ring. He stood there for a moment, supported by the ropes. Akiko wouldn’t let that moment hang. If he wouldn’t go all out, she’d have to make him.

Akiko moved in close again, intending another heavy blow. But Omori had already decided not to hold back. He moved back to his normal stance, preparing to continue the spar. And as she entered his range, Omori launched a heavy left blow downwards towards her. Akiko skipped to the outside and restored the nimbus around her hand. She then drove the blow into his stomach.

Omori doubled over from the blow, but quickly recovered and threw a punch across his body straight at Akiko's head. The girl dodged, moving back, but at the same time giving Omori room and time to recover. He re-set his posture and crouched down, then used his powerful legs to propell himself forward at top speed. He reached Akiko on a short space of time, and threw a quick punch straight at her face. Akiko dodged the jab, and tried to close the gap further the escape his range.

Omori took a step back to keep the range open, and swung a hook from his right arm. Akiko dodged to the inside and tried to drive her enhanced fist into his stomach. But Omori didn't intend to get hit again. He jumped up and slightly back. The blow barely made contact, and had almost no power. As gravity brought Omori back down, he brought down a heavy-left-handed blow .

Akiko quickly stepped backwards, dodging the blow by a hair's breadth. And she didn't have time to counter. As soon as he landed, fist audibly hitting the mat, Omori aimed a punch squarely at Akiko's face. She didn't have time to dodge either, instead she twisted her neck and tried to roll with the punch.

The blow was heavy and swift, knocking Akiko off her feet. The young child landed on the mat with a dull thump from the mat, and a loud cacophony from the crowd. But as much as they worried as she hit the mat, they cheered twice as hard when she got back up.

"That a way!" a man yelled, "Go for it!" another called. "Watch for his projections!!? a third yelled from the crowd. That gave Akiko a theory.

If she could tell how he projected his attacks, then she could react a little better. But that wasn't the point of this. She was trying to improve her actual reaction time. But if she could learn to read them, then it could give her a little more time to react. If, at the same time, she could read the trajectories of her opponent's moves and reduce the amount of time she needed to react, she could dodge almost anything.

Akiko came back to reality just in time to see a furry fist of fury flying towards her face. Fast thinking was all that saved her face from flattening. Or, rather, perhaps just fast luck.

As the furred knuckle flew towards her, her body began to react without any conscious input. Her head pulled to the outside of the high-speed punch just in time to almost completely avoid the blow. It was so close, in fact, that everyone thought that the blond girl had dodged it.

The truth wouldn't become apparent for a few seconds more. The blow was so close, and so swift, that the wound wouldn't open until Akiko's movements finally caused a thin red line to appear on the child's cheek.

Not wasting any time, and not realizing the existence of her wound, Akiko charged forward, closing the gap. And Omori was on the same wavelength, advancing as well. Their instructor observed from the sidelines, the excited crowd behind her.

Though ones and twos were beginning to question this match, by and large, the crowd cheered loudly when they reached the center of the ring and clashed again. From the crowd's point of view, it was a perfectly even fight. But the truth was, had this been a real fight, Akiko would have long since demolished Omori.

The crowd reached a thunderous roar as the two sparring mates collided in the center of the ring. Omori opened the exchange with a set of fairly low-paced jabs, to test Akiko's reactions. She passed marvelously, all but dancing past and around the attacks.

Omori's delight was twined by a thunderous cheer from the gallery. He was so delighted in her improvement that he began ti step it up a notch. He ran forward again, making it look as if he were going to throw a cross or hook.

But instead, he threw another slow jab, aiming an inch or so to the outside. Having dealt with similar blows, and faster, Akiko had little trouble avoiding the blow, moving to the inside. But it was a trap Omori had lain; he had planned on Akiko dodging that way, that's why he threw the way he did.

In a flash, Omori's right hand, which had pulled back as his jab hopped forward, began it's attack. Turning downward, the furry fist carved an inverted arc through the air. As it passed his knee, the knuckled bludgeon turned back upward, rapidly gaining in altitude.

The Blow hit hard, connecting with the chin. Stars exploded in Akiko's head as the momentum of the blow lifted the child ip and off her feet. The last thing she remembered was that feeling of weightlessness, and powerlessness.

Hikui no Shisei (Lower Level Posture)

Description: Hikui no Shisei is the most defensive of the six stances of Gyakusatsu and offers the highest peak of defense, deflecting, and creating striking opportunities. The user brings his/her sword to point at the opponent's lower body, typically around the knee or thigh area. The hands are held with the dominate hand near the top of the handle and the feet match with the dominate foot in the forefront.
Limit: Gyakusatsu

The light emanating from the fluorescent lamps on the ceiling rebounded onto the walls, heightening the man’s shadow to a noticeable degree. Drawing his bokken now, it looked to be of gargantuan proportions against the backdrop of the aluminum walls. There were numerous dummies in front of the swordsman; it was such a frenzy he couldn’t decide on one to strike. Going over to the wall closest to him, the green eyed shinobi flipped a switch, presumably the source of the dummies’ power. They began to light up in a multitude of spectacular colors, almost like an invitation to be hit.

Haseo entered the correct stance, positioning himself in such a way to be at a 90 degree angle from the doll. His knees were lowered, his back arched, and his left foot turned to a pivot. The training dummy began to swing its heavy metallic arms at the shinobi, Haseo parrying it at every opportunity he got. It was a good idea to have weighted the dolls’ arms allowing for a better distribution of force throughout. In this way it simulated the strength of a real life opponent, who was guaranteed to hit much harder than that. It was imperative that he not stagger all too much nor lose his even grip, things he tried desperately not to do.

Spying an opening, the young shinobi brought his sword down to strike. Hitting its abdominal region, a shot rang out as the dummy shook quite a bit. It might have even been pushed back had it not been for the fact it was nailed to the ground. He continued to play fight the thing for a few hours until he grew tired of the monotony. After which he turned his back to the automaton, reached over for the switch, and walked out the door.

Kousou no Shisei (Upper Level Posture)

Effect: A stance with a sword held above the head.

Description: JKousou no Shisei is the most aggressive of the six stances of Gyakusatsu and offers the highest peak of offense. The user brings his/her sword above the head held in a double axe-handle position with the dominate hand held near the apex. This stance is used to optimize the user's initial strength and bodyweight for heavier swordstrokes and counters. The feet match the positioning of the hands with the dominate side in the forefront.
Limit: Gyakusatsu

Once again did the young shinobi find himself in this position. Visiting the training facility was becoming part of his regular routine now. There were many reasons it appealed to Haseo, one of those being its relative seclusion. No one came to bother him way out here, and if he was disturbed visits were far and few between. Once again he prepped his usual training room, though not before picking one of many bokken off the wall. For this exercise, it was best to pick one with a good enough amount of weight to it. His regular katana was bound to feel much heavier when held that high above his head.

While one of the riskier stances Gyakusatsu had to offer, it was also one of his more preferred. It took advantage of his decent level of strength and dexterity so as to better parry and attack. It did leave his much of his front open to attack, knowing this he had to be careful. Haseo resumed his stance, again standing in front of the training bag. Notice how this time he chose a bag instead of the usual combat dummy. It was heavier and as such would prove more difficult to adequately knock backwards. It was also a good test of his physical prowess to boot. The bag however lacked much of the flare of one of the usual dummies though.

For quite a while he came down hard on the bag, pouring all of his daily frustrations out onto it. All of his stress just seemed to fade away as he mercilessly assaulted the object. It swayed hard in the wind of his blows, though every time it came back to meet him. It was wondrous just how much punishment the thing could take. Haseo almost felt sorry for it. He spent what seemed like the remainder of the night in solitude, attacking his foe. Like before, once his interest had left he immediately made way to the showers. From there it was just a brisk walk home.

Hitoshirenu no Shisei (Rear Hidden Posture)

Description: Hitoshirenu no Shisei is the most deceptive of the six stances of Gyakusatsu and offers the highest peak of surprise attacks. The user brings his/her sword down to the waist pointing away to the rear of the body in order to hide the full length of the blade and only show the pommel to the opponent. The hands are held with the dominate hand at the hilt. The user's feet are opposite of the hands with the dominate foot in the rear of the stance.
Limit: Gyakusatsu

Sweat dripped from every orifice of the young man’s body as he stood. He had cranked the reaction time of the training dummies up an entire notch, his hands barely able to keep up. Real world simulation was beginning to be one of few constants throughout his gyakusatsu, but he was determined to get every technique he knew into battle ready form. What was the use in swordsmanship as an art form anyway? This technique though was so incredibly awkward; Haseo couldn’t even begin to explain it. It entailed having to backhand your sword, which the shinobi rarely did if ever. If it was a blade of shorter length, the difference in grip might’ve been negligible.

It had no other purpose than to deceive one’s opponent, there were very few options once in that stance. The only thing he could really do was slash at an opponent who could’ve fallen for the trick, they thinking themselves too far away for his sword to connect with their flesh. Haseo would probably just as quickly disregard the stance as soon as he’d have learned it though, but not learning it was just out of the question. He was too much of a perfectionist for that. It was times like these that he regretted not seeking out a proper instructor though. His form would never be totally complete until then. “Instruction manuals and books are nice, but nothing beats the real thing. Nothing could substitute real world experience.”

At this point his arms started to badly fatigue pretty badly, it was weird given his quick hands too. Maybe they weren’t as quick as the young shinobi previously thought however? His reaction time was just another of many things he needed to train though, and they would improve given time. It soon became that time again, where the only thing filling his mind was the inescapable boredom. “Time for a change of pace perhaps?”

Hitoshirenu no Shisei (Rear Hidden Posture)

Description: Hitoshirenu no Shisei is the most deceptive of the six stances of Gyakusatsu and offers the highest peak of surprise attacks. The user brings his/her sword down to the waist pointing away to the rear of the body in order to hide the full length of the blade and only show the pommel to the opponent. The hands are held with the dominate hand at the hilt. The user's feet are opposite of the hands with the dominate foot in the rear of the stance.
Limit: Gyakusatsu

A black haired genin is leaning against one of those four concrete walls that stood about 10 or 15 foot tall in a recentangle room with full of simple dummies and bokkens. That young child is holding a manual book that he secretly snatched it from Matsurkia's bag during his training outside. He is confident that he have enough potential to teach himself the ways of Gyakusatsu. He is scrolling rapidly through pages of that book to find a marvelous posture for him and he did found it. His dark jade eyes spotted a image of a man that is holding a blade behind his rear. He leaned his head to get a closer look on that image, and he noticed that the blade a man is holding is invisible. He turned his dark jade eyes which are curious to the description next to that image explains how that posture is excellent to deceive those oppoents and surprise them by performing surprise attacks... That simple word "surprise" had gained the genin's interests to choose this posture.

All right... Time to train. the genin grinned as he marked that page with instructions of a posture he wanted to practice on it then slammed those pages of that manual together loudly. He finally moved his lazy body to get ahold of a bokken from the wooden shelves. He is standing on the center of the room now with a dummy is standing before him. He yawned then he proceed to stretch his lazy muscles. After several exercises of warming-up had awoken the young boy's tired muscles; he flipped the book to locate that marked page and placed it on the floor between his legs. He lifted his bokken with his left hand then moved his bokken behind his rear in a vertical position. That young boy bended his back into a arc position as he felt the pain of placing his waist that is holding a bokken... It went wrong. He turned his head to look again at the instructions in confusion. "Point your waist away from your rear" popped in the genin's eyes. After discovering the mistake, that boy turned his attention to his waist and fixed the angle into a ninety degree to point away from his rear. He realized it is unnecessary to move your arm... just your waist. He moved his arm that was hanging on his back to its normal position and the pain is fading out now.

Forming that posture was a success... Now time to practice several swings with that posture. He mentallly thought as he stares at a dummy that is standing before his eyes. He moved to the dummy then settled his body into a posture as he performed recently. Clang! the genin's bokken successfully hit the dummy but the genin was not satisfied with that result. The strike was quite unstable and weak...due to inexperiences with that posture he just practiced a while ago. Clang! He striked again, this time was a slight better result... The dummy barely leaned backward but still not good enough. The genin decided he will need to strike the dummy at least 50 to 100 strikes to be confident with his new posture. He began to strike right away.

Kibatsu Genron (Principles For Striking)

Description: Kibatsu Genron is the lesson in which a swordsman learns how to use his/her sword in order to break through an opponent's guard or otherwise defensive measures. This type of offense not only learns how to penetrate an enemy's defense, but also incorporate a knock-back effect upon striking.
E Rank: At this level of skill the user only understands the mechanics of breaking enemy defenses.

D Rank: At this level of skill the user is capable of penetrating defenses that are E-Rank and lower.

C Rank: At this level of skill the user is capable of penetrating defenses that are D-Rank and lower.

B Rank: At this level of skill the user is capable of penetrating defenses that are C-Rank and lower, as well as knocking the target back up to two meters.

Clang! The sound of 100th strike by the genin... The training for that posture is complete. A sweaty black haired boy sighed as he sat in a leg-crossed position on the floor to relax from a dull lengthy series of repeating strikes. He picked up the manual book and began to flip the pages to find a simple basic technique for him to continue his progress into the ways of Gyakusatsu. He paused at a page that contain the basic training to sharpen your offense skills. He realized it is actually essential in any sword-fight styles. His Kenjustu sensai always nag about sharpen your offense and defense skills. He felt like to do that training instead focusing on movements for now. He got up and grabbed his bokken that was laying on the floor. The light rays from outside is crawling into the room. It means the fog had lifted up for now... perhaps it is noon or so by now.

Small boy turn to the dummy, same one that he had trained on it a while ago. He reflexed his upper body muscles as he is preparing to strike on that dummy again... Wait... it is not right device. The genin turned his eyes to look for a simple large stuffed bag or something that way he is able to practice his thrusts too instead just swing a bokken as a base bat. He spotted a large black bag on a pole as the supporter that is probably stuffed by judging the fluffiness at a corner of his right side. So, he went to grab that bag to replace the dummy. After replacing the dummy, he began to swing his bokken right away. Whack!

Then he change his offense into thrust... slash... thrust... the pattern of his attacks on that stuffed bag. This unchanging pattern continues until he finally paused his training on that black bag. He got tired of swinging his sword on non-living objects... it is dull training. He felt like that he need a sparring partner. Oh Well I will get one someday He yawned. He return to continue his training but instead thrusts and slashes just only thrusts. The genin felt that his thrusting skills is poorly developed so it need some improvements. Whack! Whack! The sound of a bokken hitting on a stuffed bag echoed in the entire room.

He just realized that there are a some kind of a special dummy that is able to move and strike like a original human. It is called a combat dummy or something else. It is quite better than beating a black bag... He abandoned his progress on that black bag and placed it back to where it was. He turned to the closet, the typical place where those combat dummies are stored. His instincts are correct, the boy found two combat dummies, it is leaning silently against the wall inside that closet. It does look like a human, it have a face... human body. It looks like it is unused for a long time but perhaps not. He discovered there is a button in its chest, he pushed it. The eyes of that metallic human-like dummy glows and it began to move its body out of its resting spot.
