Now that the wound had stopped bleeding and was clean Rana could move on to the last step. Closing the wound would require the most concentration, and had the least room for error. “Ok love, we are almost done and u will be as good as new.” the shinobi said in an affectionate tone. The squirrel nodded in understanding and stood still, ready to be healed and rid of the gash on her arm. Before he began Rana stood a shook the stiffness out of his legs and took a drink of water. He then gave some to Fraulein and knelt beside the squirrel once more. Rana drew the chakra from within himself and let it flow down his arm at a trickle at first but with increasing speeds.
The boy pictured in his mind what he needed to do. He had to fuse the muscles, tendons, and flesh back together with his chakra, and do it right there were no second tries. If he messed up and did it wrong it could cripple the squirrel for life. But that was the job of a medical ninja and he knew it. He called himself and let the chakra flow. He opened his eyes and nothing was different about his right hand. He increased the flow of chakra to twice what it originally was. he still got no reaction, he was beginning to fear it was out of his abilities in his training. But he pushed the thought from his mind, he had no use for negative thoughts right now. He needed to stay positive. Rana then increased the chakra going to his right hand two fold.
And to his shock a bright green glow emitted from his hand. This was like none of the other medical jutsus which produced a tiny bit of light. This was enough to light the small shack. The boy reached down and put his hand on the squirrels right arm where the gash was. and let the green chakra that emitted from his hand flow into the tiny rodent. He watched as slowly the muscles began to reconnect, the veins began to attach themselves together and start pumping blood through the squirrels arm. It was slow but it was getting the job done none the less. He was about half way through when a sudden wave of fatigue hit him and broke his concentration.
This jutsu was using a lot of chakra, not only that but it was taking more to sustain it then he had first though. “Fraulein do not try to move that arm yet, I need a break.” he said to the squirrel out of breath. He reached into his pocket and took some dry meat and ate it. He was starving but he knew he could not wait too long. He had to finish before more dirt and hair got into it. He took a quick sip of water out of his water skin, missing his mouth at fist and spilling it on his chest. Once done he turned to the squirrel, “ Ok, now to finish. Are you ready?” he asked the squirrel and she nodded.
Rana drew on his chakra knowing if this took too long he was going to pass out. He took the chakra and directed it down his arm and into his hand. It flew into the hand like an Arrow racing toward a Target and immediately began to glow green. Not wasting any time the shinobi put his hand on the squirrel and focused the chakra into the wound. Rana watched as the last of the muscles and tendons wove there way together and once again became whole. Then the skin began to creeping over the wound sealing it shut, leaving nothing more the a faint line of pink skin where the wound used to be. To his shock the second time did not require as much chakra. He quickly formed the rat seal and used Kenzan Metsuki (Seeing Eyes) to make sure the wound had healed right. Satisfied with his work he sat back and watched the squirrel inspect the wound, she seemed happy with the work he had done and that was enough for him.
