Not that anyone pays it any attention. The sky seemed to take on the appearance of a cool blue sea, flat and motionless without a speck of white in sight. A wonderful day, warm, little to no wind and very sunny. I sit on the top of a building, my feet dangling over the edge, the ground at least four meters below me. Quite the drop if I were to fall, but even I know that that won't happen. My eyes were a copper color today, bright and searching the streets for any activity. I am aware that I lack Shinobi, but the citizens seemed to be oblivious to the lack of security. Stealing myself away from my office duties had seemed a great idea to me. I was never the type to sit behind a desk and do paperwork. Not that there was many.. Having only a handful of Ninja in the village seemed to give me less paperwork to deal with which suited me fine. Occasionally I would have the elders lecturing me about staying away from the tower, but what can I do? I'm eleven years old! I never realized how these buildings were not that tall. A alignment of them stretched out to the west of Takigakure, while the rest continued out through out the east. North of Takigakure was where the large tree was, the large cliff to the left of that was where the Takikage Tower was, and south is the gates, leading out to Taki no Kuni. I was given insight on the entire village, where every building was and what goes on within the village itself. Something that I had long since been curious about. But there was something that this village was lacking: a hospital. My head dropped down to the area beneath me. A few children glance up toward me and talk among themselves, probably wondering why I am up here and how I got up here. My current attire today was not the school uniform appearance, instead it was two simple garments: a custard colored dress with a white pleated petticoat beneath. It's length is way above my knees, but not to the point when I am revealing my underwear. Over top of that I wear a blue cardigan with a hoodie and on my feet I wear a pair of black sandals. I also carry my butt-bag, over my left shoulder. I had attached a long strap to it so that it took on the appearance of a handbag than a weapon pouch. It is always loaded with my ten Kunai and thirty blood clot pills. One of my Shushken fans are also within the butt-bag while the other is in my right hand, opened. I just sit here, fanning myself while glancing out over my village. My village, that is still something I am growing used to, but will the Ninja I work with ever accept the fact that I, a child, is running the village? |
