So that's what he was talking about? That was my first thought, but I wasn't sure if he meant that particular time.

Obito is to young to be the only tobi, since he would have to be grown up when he fought against yondaime. (But he the had long hair and a different mask, so it might be someone that had obito replace him as "tobi", so maybe it might be obito's brother or something.)

Actually, when the 4th fought and died against "Madara", Kakashi was probably a little older than Naruto is right now. Since Tobi and Kakashi were roughly the same age, it would not surprise me if Tobi was in fact the Masked guy. My theory on this is that Orochimaru resurrected Tobi with his unfinished Resurrection Ritual that Kabuto completed. Orochimaru knew a lot more than anyone else on the show which is why Akatuski wanted him either with him or dead. Alot of stuff points to Orochimaru knowing a lot and that the Masked guy can replace his eye on the same side as Obito's missing eye. I don't know. It all just seems to point to him being the Masked guy. Oh and yeah, Madara was resurrected with the ability. Pretty sure that means that Madara had to die.

It has to be another uchiha or obito imo. Unless someone more badass than kakashi could fully control a mageku without being an uchiha.

I'd say it's Obito for the simple fact that Kakashi pointed out that their Space-Time Jutsu goes to the same dimension--something that exists only between him and this masked dude. He then proceeds to ask where Tobi gets his eye from and Tobi responds at the same place he became known as the 'Hero with the Sharigan', which I believe is where Obito was killed.

My guess is Obito and given that Kakashi's dead is for certain dead and Tobi apparently wasn't ressurected by Edo-Tensei as far as I could tell I don't think it can be him. Another Uchiha...maybe, but I'd be hard pressed to find another Mangekyou weilding Uchiha outside the power trio (Itachi, Sasuke, and Madara) with this much power.

Besides did no one ever wonder how Kakashi attained Mangekyou? I mean he's not Uchiha...maybe he gained it the same time Tobi gained it...granted that if it's Obito that would mean both eyes belong to him so. Bah, maybe I'm an idiot though.

...another thought might be Shishui Uchiha if we're throwing that out there.

There's no waaaayyy that it could possibly be Obito. Seriously, I'm telling you it's just some nobody Uchiha that happened across a dead Obito, and then put the eye into his head.
