Rank: "E" (5 TP at all times)
Skill: Skill
Effect: A skill that allows a user to create complicated clockwork or gadgets.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: This skill is used in the construction of Technical fantastic machines, and it includes the mechanical principles involved in clockwork operation. Engineers, machinists, and technicians use this skill to create clockwork devices. This skill has not yet been fleshed out. Each time learned user gets 1 die roll to increase the skill.
Limit: Must know Engineering. Must know Blacksmithing/Metalworking.
+1 because of Engineering Trait.
Current Skill count is 96/125
Bringing up the wire for easier access the Doctor grasped onto the heating iron. He moved closer to the joined wire and applied the heat to the bottom of the wire joint and used the thicker section of the soldering tip.
He knew that the thicker area of the solder iron tip would conduct more heat into the wire joint. Before applying however he gently wet the tip with the wet sponge as a wet tip of a soldering iron could further aid in heat transfer.
Looking carefully he applied it to the thickest part of the wire joint as the thicker the wire joint, the more heat would be required, and yet the stronger the bond.
He was careful because on thin wires with cheap insulation he knew he could actually melt quite a bit of it off if he overheated the joint. Using his steady hands he waited patiently. This process took a little while. He stopped briefly and looked up at the clock to see the time. Realizing the other circuit board was getting closer to completing the curing process the young Doctor continued with his work. He needed to join these two wires together, and then insulate them as he realized that these two wires were not needed for the attachment of the circuit board.
He felt a little stupid but shrugged it off.
Feeling it was hot enough he decided to test out if he was correct on the assumption. He took hold of the solder and used it to wet the tip of the iron as it flowed freely.
Nodding with excitement he cleaned the tip briefly by wiping it on the sponge. Now it was time to apply the Solder.
