Trace furrowed his brow as he stared at the land slowly creeping up. "That's not Wind Countr..." Leaning his upper body over the side of the boat and taking a peak over, he promptly slammed his head onto the railing. "Son of a bitch... Wrong boat." he moaned out, following up quickly with a sigh. "Oh well, I'll go to the Dojo when I'm not on the clock. Turning his head towards the doctor, Trace would shrug. "Makes sense. Some people are more suited to certain tasks. Things keep me going, certain things that need to be fixed..." Almost as if a dark shadow had overtaken Trace as he remembered his reason for striving so hard to be the best at what he did. Clenching his teeth, he forced a smile as the boat engaged the port, banging off a few bumpers in the process.

"After we get back to Sound. I have some loose ends to tie up, a certain person needs tending to." He stated cryptically as she wiped down a Kumomusha silk sword and replaced it, the dock's disembarking ramp brought out as he was first to exit it. The memories had brought up the side of Trace few had seen, where as he was happy... goofy and even stupid normally. This side of Trace was rather revenge driven, striving to gain power in order to avenge. His many buckled boots hitting the ground as he immediately took to traveling towards Sound country.

Dr. Adam's words sank in and were written across the tablet of Sogetsu's determination. Perhaps, somewhere deep within his apathetic core, there was the notion that he truly could achieve what most expected out of him. But that would only come when he'd truly found himself capable of defending Sound with his greatest potential in mind. With a solemn nod, the Ranzatsu continued his journey onward to join Trace and Adams. The air was rather crisp and clean here. Sogetsu inhaled deeply as his footsteps went relaxed. It'd been a long time since he had not been on full alert, but something told him that for just this moment....he could let loose and linger in these seconds with a lackadaisical mindset.

Trace appeared to be bothered, though. The spirit of light-hearted humor could no longer be sensed - that much, Sogetsu was sure of. The senses were his specialty, and he could almost taste and smell the darkness that wafted about this man's very essence. His cryptic message would be received with a simple nod, though he knew better than to ask the willingly deceptive about anything that they didn't want to discuss. Not that he feared the swordsman, but he was a man of indifference. What business was it of his to pry further?

The notion was dropped as Sogetsu once more thought of their partner who had not kept up with them. Silently, he hoped that she would be alright and safe within the confines of the village. Otherwise, guilt and conviction would have been his to share for not checking up on her. Sogetsu could only imagine what his parents were going to say about the mission and how long it'd taken. Of course, he didn't have a curfew. But Aiko was never the type to let him travel far without wanting to know the details. Overprotective mothers.

"Indeed. I suppose that real food and a shower will do me some good before I pick up the blade again. No rest for a shinobi, it seems. Be thankful you don't have that problem, Dr. Adams."

The Ranzatsu laughed a bit. He'd be happy to see his own bed again soon.

[The Doctor]

"After we get back to Sound. I have some loose ends to tie up, a certain person needs tending to." He heard from the one called Trace.

"Oh, personal matter huh. I understand." he sighed softly as they continued to travel. Theyw ere almost home. they were heading up to the Land of Sound as of now. The Doctor felt kind of bad that the warrior would not be able to get to the land of Wind as of yet.

"Indeed. I suppose that real food and a shower will do me some good before I pick up the blade again. No rest for a shinobi, it seems. Be thankful you don't have that problem, Dr. Adams." spoke Sogetsu.

The Doctor turned towards the man whom stood behind him and nodded. "Indeed, those are responsibilities I do not have the discipline to make. I for one am glad I do not have to make such choices. Personally I don't know if I have the stomach for it."

It was good to be going home.

Finally, there was familiar soil. As Sogetsu moved to return to the village, he lifted a hand and waved back to Trace and Dr. Adams. "It's been fun."

With that, he'd give his trademark canine smile and vanish into the distance, headed toward the tower to inform them of their success.

[The Doctor]

The Doctor turned towards the others and nodded. "Indeed it has," he commented as he got onto his RideBack. "Until we meet again," he started it once and rode off heading out.

Putting a hand up, Trace would leave the other two to their methods. "Meet me in the tower Sogetsu. We're gonna turn in our papers."
