[moved]
The night would go off without a hitch. No strange occurrences, no deadly encounters, nothing that one should be concerned of. Miss Juliet would take Anotsu up on his offer of food, though she brought her own provisions. She took out from a hidden pocket in her dress a small flask...Of course it was some sweet alcohol, some little nip of somethin somethin, to take off the edge. She would open the metalic flask and took a sip. If one were to catch the scent of the molten liquid inside the flask, they would smell that sweet sent of wine. It was nothing heavy but it would be just enough to catch a buzz, something Miss Juliet liked to indulge in to quite the memories and the souls that cry out to her.
Miss Juliet would smile once again. After hearing Anotsu's tale she was put at ease. She was like him, in a world fraught with tragedy. The all consuming void was within his heart as well. It felt as if Anotsu could have been one of her kin, or at least it felt she shared much the same bond with him. Coming fro similar paths, similar histories, was comforting thing, in more ways than one. She was looking into his eyes once again. Those eyes, the same as the one she loved, a longing in hers as she watched, appreciated, and longed... But the night would be short as sleep indeed would call to both of them and sleep they did. Though, perhaps she did scoot over to him and cuddle up close, feeling comfort in that protection of kindness that she had once had, that is if Anotsu allowed it...
It would be morning, and as always Miss Juliet would be up and ready to go. They were about half way to where they needed to go and needed an early start. "Anotsu, Anotsu, wake up. I would like to get going as soon as possible. There is still much to do if we are to do this in the safest way I know." There were a lot of things she said in that sentence. The perspective of danger was one of them, of course killing any man always had a note of danger. Though much to do was a mouthful, and it suggested that today mite be a very long day.
Once the travels would begin, another silence would overcome Miss Juliet once again. She was in that dark place in her mind stewing. The conversation would have been one sided for much of the trip But as they passed the boarder of the River Country she would speak once again. "It was night time when it happened. Taro and I would have been at a festival in the Land of Fire. It was a perfect night of course. Clear skies, stars for as far as the eye could see. We were sitting on the roof of some houses in some capital that we had traveled to. Fireworks, the full moon, the warm breeze of a hot summer night. It was all there. It was perfect, and he had to ruin it all." She grit her teeth as she said that last bit, but quickly she would regain her composure. "That's the night when he told me a bit about his past, told me that in his younger days he would was apart of a band of ninjas with his kin. Of course this brought to surface memories of my past, and I could feel an eerie feeling, almost like the calm before a storm. I could feel in his voice the heavy burden that he had been carrying. I could tell that he had been holding this story in for quite a few years. I could feel he loved me to much not to tell me this. But that was to moment when he told me he was apart of the band of ninja's that had raised my hometown. He was part of the group who had killed everyone I knew. And as much as he sat there pleading with me, confessing his love toward me, the ghost of the past started calling out to me..." She paused for a bit, in fact it would be an hour again before she would start up again. These ghosts of the past had some grip on her, and she still had quite a bit to say. "I tried, I tried to stay with him and love him for as long as I could. But I just couldn't. On night while he was asleep I too a knife to his throat, you see I had to kill him, it could not be helped. All those souls calling out to me, telling me they were trapped in between worlds, telling me they must be avenged. But you know what, as I stood there looking into his face, that love that had saved me know would have saved him. I could not do it Anotsu, I could not have killed him back then." Another pause, it would of only been a short one, and in fact she gave a quick laugh before stating, "So I left, ran away, hoping perhaps I could grow old somewhere and die alone, not having to burden anyone else with the weight within my heart." She still smirked, it was interesting because it would never be, someone would always be there to try and pick up her pieces. But that would be a task for only the most willing...
