Kami Goukyou (Paper Strength)
Rank: "D", "C", "B", "A", "S"
Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: A technique which utilizes one own chakra to strengthen their paper. The more one learns into this technique, the stronger one is able to make their paper.
Special: ---
Drawback: The user must learn each rank of Kami Goukyou (Paper Strength) in order to be capable of making the paper stronger. This works well except for techniques that deal with fire damage or water damage.
Description: By combining ones own chakra within paper, they are capable of strengthening its form. The more attune one is with paper, the stronger it becomes. A vital step when attempting to draw out the full potential of ones paper. Note that no matter the rank of this technique, greatswords and other special weapons B rank and up are unable to be broken by the paper due to the unparalleled craftsmanship of the weapons.
When the user learns the D rank of this technique, they are capable of making their paper as strong as stone. At this stage, they are capable of cutting flesh.
When the user learns the C Rank version of this technique, they are capable of making their paper as strong as iron. At this stage they are capable of cutting through stone.
When the user learns the B Rank version of this technique, their paper is as strong as steel. At this stage they are capable of cutting through iron.
When the user learns the A Rank version of this technique, their paper is as strong as titanium. At this stage they are capable of cutting through steel.
When the user learns the S Rank version of this technique, they are capable of making their paper as strong as damascus steel. At this stage the piece of paper is capable of cutting through titanium
When using Paper Strength, the amount of defense it gives applies to the overall technique. (Thus, a shield would be S defense total, not each paper being S.)
Limit: Must know Pēpā Tesabaki (Paper Manipulation) C Rank
Eric could feel he was close. As he sliced the paper against the Kunai there was visual signs of a scratch. Though it would not be a full out gash and that was his aim. He was in the process of sharpening down the edge in a very specific way. He had been converting the edge of the paper to a tubular triangle form. He was achieving this through the powerful form of paper release. This simple generic form of chakra, no wood chakra that he had formed into fiber to mimic the fibers of paper. This was like using the wood release on a micro level that would require an increasable amount of chakra control.
Eric would find that with each passing layer of chakra onto the fibers, the difficulty of the hardening of paper would increase. There was still a lot of the mechanics he had to keep in mind as he did this. He would have to avoid the tightly knit areas of fiber so that the movement of the paper or rather the manipulation of the paper would not become muddled with a gum of the paper. It was interesting because the way paper was created would be the same way his chakra was created. In the respects that he was creating a wood past to us in the mold of the fibers that where applied to the paper itself.
Eric would take another swipe at the kunai and notice a small increase. The chakra gum that he was applying to the fibers of the paper where hardening as soon as they where applied. Yet as he applied more of this gum it would fuse to itself as he squished the chakra fiber films on top of one another. The paper itself would be the hero in all of this though, creating the very framework of structure that he used to produce such a finite weapon. Another slice onto the kunai would take place as he continued to pump more of his chakra into the paper.
Eric would notice that he had a deeper cut onto the kunai this time. The kunai of course being crafted of Iron he would notice as he laid more chakra onto the fibers and squeezed them down the edge would sharpen. This was only an effect that lasted a short time as he continued to temper the paper in this way. But continue he would until he found it satisfactory to slice through this iron and to increase the strength of the paper itself. He would continue to lay more chakra film against the pre-exiting fibers within the piece of paper.
Eric would squeeze and crimp the fibers together continuing on the form of the triangle. The most structually sound shape in the natural world. This was another tactic he would be using to increase the strength of his paper. He would tie more fibers together with this past of chakra that he had been using. He would continue to bend and twist the fibers as he squeezed them together. He would continue to create artifical fibers on top of that to cover some of the gaps that he had been missing. Soon enough the whole of the paper would have this hard feel to it as he would take yet another slice at the iron kunai.
