Friendly
Amarisu would rather hang out with others than spend time alone. Being alone means silence, and silence is one of the few things she's not good at tolerating. It is far more fun to be doing something with your friends than just sitting around on your butt. Amarisu finds happiness in a crowded room, shop or even on the street where she can gather impressions from the people passing through.
Socialising is one of the best things Amarisu knows, and people who confine themselves to isolation are beyond her world of understanding.
Tolerant.
Amarisu is willing to take the time to find out what's going on with other people, especially if they're in distress. Being quite0 a good listener, she doesn't initially criticize. Rather, she likes to offer unbiased, respectful, honest advice when it's requested. A few times, also when it has not been requested. Amarisu has a tendency to be enthusiastic about charitable work, helping others, and making the world a better place one day at a time.
While she doesn't feel the need to impose all of her standards on others, there are a few things where she is not willing to back down.
Tender
Amarisu is gentle with others, both physically and emotionally. For most parts she'll be careful not to upset people by going out of her way to find the nicest way to say something. Naturally, she focuses on the fact that the world is full of wonderful people, places, and things, where dreams can come into fruition. More often than not, people with a high score on the "tender" trait enjoy spending time with children, love romantic movies, and are enthusiastic about making the world a better place.
Slapdash[/b]
Amarisu is of the attitude that things will probably turn out fine even if they don't go precisely according to plan. As far as she's concerned, it's not the end of the world if a project falls short of perfection. It is important though that the soul and intentions of whichever project or scheme that she has been working on remains the same.
Accessible
Amarisu feels comfortable expressing herself in words and actions, with no self-censorship unless it involves others feelings. Enjoying all kinds of expressive arts and things where she can feel the opinion or conflicts of the artists are well appreciated. Also, being quite outwardly, the girl tends to mingle with many people, and she has a lot of loose friends.
Amarisu doesn't see the need to keep her thoughts to herself, or to have a zone of privacy that encompasses only her and a small circle of friends and relatives. Rather, everyone who wants to be a friend or become part of her circle are welcome to try. As long as they don't step on anyone's toes, they're likely to succeed.
The Flower Queen's Bloom.
The tip of the petals.
Amarisu has slightly longer hair than what reaches her shoulders. In shades of dark brown, it is most often kept in check by the use of chopsticks or other very natural ways of setting it up. More often than not however, the hair is allowed to hang freely over her figure, being toyed with easily by the wind. Well kept and extremely well brushed, it is soft to the touch and appears alluring to those who may dwelve upon the view. Over her ear, she'll often have a violet flower woven into her locks.
The Smiling Flower.
The eyes that belong to the kunoichi are so dark green that they may aswell have been entirely black. It is only in the right light that the shades of green appear, which grants a new depht to her eyes. The nose is rather thin, yet round enough to avoid turning pointy. The lips have a living color of red, and can almost always be found curlt up into a self-secure smile.
The chin has soft curves, and is barely larger than what a hand could gently hold around to keep her head in place.
The Stilk..
Amarisu has a pair of long and thin legs, which leads to her torso. Being rather thin and somewhat fragile looking, it also means that most clothes end up looking a number or two too large on her body. Entering puberty rather late, she has still not fully grown accustomed to the changes her body is going through, which may lead to a few interesting dilemmas.
From the torso one will find way to her arms. The white skin and soft curves makes her arms appear almost like two latches of silk that has been sewn onto her. With long fingers and well-kept nails, the young girl is clearly concious about the way that she looks.
The Dancing Flowers.
As for attire, Amarisu has a clear favorite. Summer dresses. It doesn't really matter where they're going or how long they'll be gone, forever has she adored bringing summer dresses. Colors that marginally coincide with the current season of the year is always a hit. Green, violet, purple and orange for summer. Dark yellow, brown and dark green for autumn. White and black for winther, while light green, rose and light orange for summer.
From seed to full-fledged flower.
Twins?!
That had been the first indication that Toge wasn't going to be the only child in the Ikebana family. Rei and Tengoku although different both flourished with the idea of having two children. For completely different reasons however.
Amarisu was the tiniest of the two at birth. Weighing too little and seeming so brittle, the first indication was that only the stronger one of the pair of twins would make it through the first few weeks. What the baby lacked in physical strenght though, she had in spirit, and not long after birth had she claimed enough weight to put herself on par with her twin brother.
Already from an early age, the two twins had gotten a few different outlooks on life. Toge was often dragged off by their father to encourage his strenght and turn his very essence into what composed a ninja. In the meanwhile, Amarisu was being taught things by their mother, only learning techniques from their father and the academy every once in a while. The calmness, patience, kindness, understanding and passion were the main things the young girl inherited from Rei. This painted an ever-lasting smile onto Amarisu's lips. A smile that wasn't ever going to fade, for that was the promise she had made. "Your smile is like a blooming flower my daughter. The flowers do not allow the world to make them wittle away before their time is nigh. Neither should you let the world harm that beautiful smile on your lips."
The day that changed everything came more suddenly than anyone could expect. The day before their graduation from the Academy. They had both passed the requirements, and so they were both to be showing up for the graduation. Amarisu and Toge, one of the proudest days of their life coming up just around the corner. That very evening, as she had been cleaning her room, humming happily, one of the usual fights commenced. Yet, this one was louder and more severe than she had ever experienced before. Running out into the hall, the only thing Amarisu saw was the lifeless body of Rei laying there. The skin had turned from a living and warm color to a lifeless shade of white-grey. Even so, painted on the woman's lips was a smile. Never wither away..
The few upcoming days were tough on Amarisu. Every bit of frustration that could now not be taken out on his wife, was taken out on his daughter instead. The girl had the same eyes, the same hair and the same smile as her mother. Words such as useless, untalented, whimperer and more were often strewn across her like sugar over a bagel. Eventually, the decision had been made. Due to the loss of their mother and the fact that Tengoku had enough issues to deal with attempting to teach Toge the fine arts of the Ikebana, Amarisu would be required to leave their home.
Barely seven years at the time, the last she remembers of her family, was looking into Toge's eyes, giving a heartbreaking smile while slowly starting to cry, before she turned around and walked out the door. Orphanage, for a child that still had her family, seemed so ludicrus.......
...Being at the orphanage didn't last long either however. The place simply reeked of prison, and the only thing Amarisu felt she could do was to escape and start living on her own. One night, the girl took everything she could carry of food, clothes and other important things to live on her own, tossed them over the fence and followed suit. A normal child would be unable to escape, yet she was capable of walking up vertical walls. A little fact that the caretaker hadn't been capable of fully comprehending.
Having gotten away with a rather large cardboard box, the girl continued to move to different places as the seasons changed. Making a living by gathering flowers and binding them into bouquettes that boyfriends or husbands would usually buy for their spouses, Amarisu quickly learned to take care of herself. No matter the hardship she faced, a warm smile, a low bow and a 'thank you' kept the costumers coming back.
