[li]Dedicated
[/li][li]Kushina dedicates herself to the task at hand fully, following through until the job is complete. She has a severe distaste for incomplete work or lazy Shinobi who half-ass their work. A mission could take several days to a week, yet her focus and attention to detail would not waver. She loves her home and cares for everyone in it, despite her family name. Each and every life in Konoha is considered her charge and she would stop at nothing to protect and elevate them to new heights.[/blockquote]
[/li][li]Cautious
[/li][li]In all that she does, Kushina proceeds with extreme caution and care. While sometimes you have to take risks and step outside the rules of engagement, she is often careful in doing so. To most she appears to be a "By the book" sort of person, when in fact she perfers to use her own versions of such methods. Every plan of action is carefully thought out to execution, regardless of how the end result turns out.[/blockquote]
[/li][li]Motherly
[/li][li]When she is not ripping information from someone or torturing people, Kushina is actually known to be quite maternal. She cares deeply for the Genin on her squad, no matter how well she knows them. This is most likely due to her age however, the desire to have a family of her own has a hand in this somewhere in the back of her mind. Just like a mother, she can be kind and gentle one moment but a fountain of rage and stern discipline the next. The mission, development, and discipline of her squad are her first and foremost concerns.[/blockquote]
[/li][li]Mindful
[/li][li]As all Shinobi are trained to be, she is mindful of her surroundings. The moment she walks into the room she is quick to assess the situation. She takes count of the amount of people, the terrain, setup, floor plan, possible threats, and the general appearance of the crowd within a moments glance. She studies everything intently, making sure to spare no detail as it could be the difference between life and death. She has a knack for following rumors to their source, be it truth or lie.[/blockquote]
[/li][li]Calm
[/li][li]While it is impossible for a human being to be completely without anxiety or panic, Kushina has an easy time masking such things. Often she seems calm and composed even in the most dangerous of situations. A Shinobi's display of emotions, especially fear must be kept in check always or else it could betray your intentions and perception of things to the enemy. Kushina holds true to this, especially in front of her squad as it is the best way to get them through a hostile encounter.[/blockquote][/li][/ul]
[li]Face
[/li][li]Even though some of the things she does for her village are cruel and quite vicious, her features are soft and beautiful. Her skin is a slightly tan color, however not enough to where it's much darker then most fair tones. She has soft green eyes, giving off a gentle glow to those who would take the time to gaze into them. Her lips are are often painted a bland maroon colour. She sports long raven hair that falls past her shoulder in length, down to mid-back. It is often kept in a pony tail with her bangs covering her right eye.[/blockquote]
[/li][li]Body
[/li][li]Slim, yet fit, she has the physic of one subject to several daily work out routines. As with most Kunoichi, she has a lithe figure that is cut in the arm and Ab region showing off her level of fittness. She is not incredibly tall, nor is she short. Kushina stands at an average height, nothing really worth noting much further. She has long slender fingers which are very quick and agile when it comes to weaving hand seals. Her nails are often painted the same dull maroon colour as her lips, the same applying for her toes as well. She often smells of sunflowers.[/blockquote]
[/li][li]Clothing
[/li][li]Her clothing is generally nothing special, her normal attire consists of a black shirt and pants with a tactical vest sitting on top of it. She wears the standard Shinobi footwear. Her pants stop at about ankle level where they are then met by the boot like sandals. On top of that she wears a white cloth jacket which reaches down to the back of her thighs, the kanji for Suiton emblazoned upon the back to display her heritage. When she is at home however she is often seen in a pure white kimono with a violet sash holding it closed. The kanji for Suiton also present upon it.[/blockquote]

[li]Genin Days
[/li][li]She was a Kikkawa by birth, however she was not among the unlucky who remained in her ancesteral home. Before her time, her parents had fled to save their own lives from the other half of the clan, thus she was born in the Land of Fire, just outside the capital. When she was born, her parents could not have been more proud of what they had done. As she grew old enough to read and write, her father would begin the instruction of the Shinobi ways, the Kikkawa ways. From the moment she turned seven years old she was bathed in lectures, physical training, weapon training, Ninjutsu training.
In the Academy she was one of the few well prepared children who excelled without problems. Known as the motherly, leader type, Kushina would find herself surrounded by the other children who adored her leader qualities and kindness. It was with no problems and flying colours she would see the end of her academy days, graduating as a full fled genin in high regard. When she was assigned a team finally, she was quickly even made the captain in place of their Sensei should they ever be seperated. It was a routine life at that point. Missions, training, sleep, repeat. She didn't have time for much else in her life.
It was her leadership qualities that would prompt her Sensei to pay special attention to her when the others were given training assignments. She was to be shaped and molded into a young leader who was Chuunin material at a young age. It didn't take her long even to reach such status. By the age of thirteen years old she would be prepared and entered into the Chuunin exams with the rest of her squad. Although the others were not as ready as she, Kushina was expected to lead them all to victory. She lived her life in the proud watchful eyes of her family.[/blockquote]
[/li][li]Chuunin Days
[/li][li]The exams were nothing short of grueling and horrifying. There were so many of the entrants who didn't even make it past the first portion of the exam. They had been training their whole life for work in the field, many were unprepared for a test that involved pencil and paper. Many would resort to their tactics of cheating and the like, while Kushina simply answered all of the questions and sat content with her answers, knowing that she had done everything she could to prepare. The worst part of it all was yet to come, the survival exam. It was a rigorous effort through a trap infested forest, several people fighting for their lives.
Once more she would see her squad through to the end, her leading getting them through this task with minor injury. The final part however would tear them apart as they were all pitted against one another in combat. It was at this point that her teammates decided they would do anything to win, they had to try harder then her, they were jealous. During a not so lucky match up, Kushina would be forced to fight what she considered to be her best friend, Hiroto. During this match he would become someone else, straining the tension of their relationship as he fought to kill while she simply tried to disable him.
While she won the battle it's self, things would never be the same. She was soon after assigned to another squad as she recieved her Chuunin promotion, as well as the other girl on her squad. Hiroto however would remain a Genin and become bitter towards Kushina for the rest of his life. Yet this new height did nothing to halt the climb to the top, Kushina had become even more determined to ascend even further, to show everyone what she could be. Yet she never forgot the lessons of humility and teamwork. It in fact became the one thing that made her angry, Konoha Shinobi who fought amongst themselves.[/blockquote]
[/li][li]Jounin - Present Day
[/li][li]Not too long after she became a Chuunin, Kushina would be well in line to move up in rank once more. Enemy spies would seek to steal the forbidden scrolls in Konoha, Kushina would catch them in the act. On a mission to deliver a message to a note to another city, she would come across a renegade squad of Shinobi plotting in the forest. There were so many of them that she couldn't truly dispatch them all on her own. However she did manage to slip in during the night and make off with their documents containing their plans and intentions. It seemed they were well briefed int he village layout, patrols, and scroll location.
Returning with the success of her mission and this information put her into consideration for Jounin. Infact, a week later she would be called before the Hokage to recieve such a promotion. It was then that she decided to pursue a position as Sensei, to protect and guide other Genin to the position she was now in. She sought to change the mentality of the young Shinobi and mold them into a generation of ninja that prided team work over all others. From this point on she would instruct young minds in the arts, seeking no more notice then that given to a great sensei.[/blockquote]
