Background:
Having lost his parents during the aftermaths of the Third Great Shinobi War, Drake was parent-less almost literally from the moment he was born. He was brought back to Iwagakure by a medic relative that discovered him at a battle scene. From there Drake was raised by the medic and her husband in a family that most kids would have been lucky to have. He was spoiled and showered with love, given bounds of toys even more than a child his tender age wouldn’t even dream to possess. As he grew, Drake expressed his love for any object that could be manipulated by his hands, the essence of a level of dominance. His caretakers would take it as a natural understand of an artisan and so set Drake on the path of an Iwa Shinobi.
At the academy, Drake showed an unusual knack for not just art and Ninjutsu combinations, but Taijutsu as well. This set his bounds apart from the rest of his peers and the instructors took note of it immediately. As common to his clan, Drake retained that obsessive level of worth ethic, always striving above and beyond to make sure he remained on top. Studying became only a means to pass time; the rest of him was devoted to perfecting his craft on the field. His labors would eventually bare fruit as Drake graduated at the top of his class, an expected result no less.
”The real stuff begins and no strings attached.”
Genin life was pretty exciting for this ninja. His first mission he and his team were assigned, his sensei was fatally wounded by a nuke-nin ambush while Drake’s teammates were all knocked unconscious as the man they were escorting was killed. Taking advantage of this rogue ninja’s overconfidence, Drake managed to defeat him by shear wits, cleverness, and skill in combination. The failure of such a mission drove Drake even more to master whatever arts were available to him. He abandoned the concept of a team altogether, choosing to supplement it all with a grouping of clay molds. Allies who bend to you will tend to be the best, or so he thought. The Chuunin exams forced Drake to return to the bandings of three-man cell and so he made do. Yet of course he made sure to retain control of the group’s actions, duties, and the like to ensure his victory. As a result he completed the course along with his squad with flying marks.
His life pounded when he learned that his whole team had graduated but him. Asking the village elders why, they hinted it was because of his conducts. Life became much regretful then Drake expected and he shirked his duties for a while before realizing that to one day fulfill his dream of becoming a successful shinobi such risks must be taken. Drake went missing from Iwagakure. Running and running, exhausted and irritated, Drake turned up at Konohagakure. Showing an unnatural aptitude for leading and after multiple successful missions the village council gathered amongst them and gave him much respect.
“A standing ovation and the curtain has yet to rise.”
Drake was overjoyed with the thought of finally gaining some respect and prestige and took to the job as best he could. He was a higher-ranking Genin, a fact that bugged the hell out of him. After a while, he immediately started changing. After more missions and a wealth of healthy feedback, Drake started to look down on his fellow Genin much to his joy. Around this time however, many were jealous. Drake was falsely accused for murdering a local citizen by a higher ranking member of Konoha’s political body. Drake was later arrested for one year.
Revenge came quickly and swift. After his jail time and some catching up, he invited the man to a very expensive restaurant one night. As they ordered he slipped a potent poison into the wine. As he coaxed him into drinking it, the senior took one sip and passed out almost completely dead from the poison. The others did not quite have a clue how the elder died, and thus Drake had murdered a high ranking senior of Konoha.
Quickly hiding the corpse, Drake continued in Konoha as if nothing had happened. After a lot of training and improving, Drake’s murder was uncovered and he was further pursued. After wandering around without much of a purpose he was abducted and taken to Kumogakure where he was experimented on against his will. Breaking free of the mind warping genjutsu, he fled Kumogakure as well with a general idea that humanity sucked.
After escaping Kumogakure's labs, he came across an old and dear friend of his. With his help, Drake abided in Yukigakure. Drake now suspected that Iwa was the culprit for destroying his newly occupied life at Iwagakure and Konohagakure. Amassing a great deal of others like him, he remained loyal to Yukigakure, colleagues, and those aligned with the same goal to bring the Iwagakure crumbling in a mass of debris and smoke. And who knows what great lengths he’ll extend himself to make such a vision a reality.
