This method requires much less skill than picking pins individually, and generally works well on cheaper locks. When the pins are excited they bounce all around the sheer line and with the skillful application of a tension tool this is the easiest way to pick a lock. This is also how beginners start. Advanced rakes are available which are shaped to mimic various different pin height key positions and are considerably easier to use than traditional rakes. Such rakes are typically machined from a template of common key configurations, since not all permutations of pin heights are adjacent pins are possible given the process by which keys are manufactured. The blade is made out of pure steel which is rare in some cases and extremely hard to find. Due to its rareness, it is extremely hard and difficult to break, bend or destroy. Long ago there was a sword smith fabled for his crafting prowess as he made swords many believed to be worthy of the gods though this was not enough for him and he looked to make even better swords, swords that made other swords look like toys in comparison. To this end he collected up a variety of other swords that themselves were considered legend and studied them to see what made them so great however he found nothing special as the swords were old, over one-hundred years old, and so to discover what truly made them so special he restored them as best he could and the result was amazing. After existing for over one-hundred years the blades had gained souls, consciousness’s, in short, the swords have an inner spirit where (only) the user can contact and speak with during any time and upon their restoration their true power was then released as the blades took on the power of lightning. With their consciousness, the user finds it more understandable to understand techniques for the sword, how to use it, and the sword itself. The sword Smith was marveled by this and tried to wield one of the blades however he was stricken down upon swinging the blade as lightning coursed through his body burning him alive from the inside out. The blades only allow select individuals wield them.

However, the answer comes from the way the guard is shaped and the way that the hilt is shaped. The sword is usually held with the hilt's bent edge point towards the user, so that when they are bracing against an incoming attack, they have a great body support than that of the average sword. The guard itself has many serrated edges towards the top, making it capable of locking in a blade after a successful parry, allowing the user a much easier way of disarming the opponent. The entire weapon is 42 inches long.

Part physical training, part motivational handbook, the text explains mot only the fundamentals of combat, but expounds the virtue of honorable fighting and the dignity of valor. In life, Mijon Sun had been the youngest son of a wealthy warlord. Though given basic training in weaponry and tactics, he was forced to study warfare like his older brothers. Content to inherit neither his father’s power nor responsibilities, Mijon Sun studied art and literature and led the life of a spoiled noble. That is, until war broke out and his father and two older brother’s died in combat. Forced to take command of his family’s battered army, he tried to defend his people. But he was beaten down by the opposing warlord on the battlefield. Before his opponent delivered the fatal blow, he mocked Mijon Sun and said he would take his dear sister as a concubine. The thought filled Mijon with a renewed sense of purpose, and he focused the purpose into his blade. He managed to defeat the enemy warlord and finally drive back the enemy army. He then took to devout study of the art of war, and combined this knowledge with his own literary skills to create a masterpiece of warfare. The tactics in the book rely heavily on ideas of honor, valor, integrity, and personal fortitude. Character Depth
Personality:
Tatsu is a very interesting yet dark person. The loss of his parents made him seek solitude and loneliness for many years, and although he regained his determination as a ninja, he has forever kept that darkness in his heart. Although he is far from gloomy anymore, he is a natural pessimist at heart, always looking at the downsides to everything and he is quick to point out any difficulties he can see in anything anyone is doing or planning. However, he justifies his pessimism just as easily, gladly letting those that ask that the reason for his pessimism is that “If you’re always expecting the worse to happen, then when you are right, it won’t surprise you at all. However, when you’re wrong, it’s almost always a pleasant surprise, thus leading to more satisfaction and less disappointments.”
Although Tatsu seems to always see the darkness in everything, he runs his life with an ideal of balance of some kind. He no longer sees things as purely right or wrong, instead weighing situations based more on how they beneficial it is the greater purpose, be it of his mission, those he cares about, his village or his clan. He does not do anything without reason, and although sometimes his actions may sometimes seem random, they rarely—if ever—truly are. To him, the world is grey, with different shades of it causing the problems faced by everyone. Some may truly be evil, and some truly good, but Raika will follow whoever serves his best interest and that of his people.
Still, Tatsu is not without morals. He sees senseless killing and torture as completely unacceptable in his eyes, and he will not partake in either unless the death or torture of the one in question is necessary for keeping in the best interests of those he has sworn allegiance to. He hates to see people in despair, and will sometimes attempt to help, but not if it puts him in too great of a danger. He knows his limits always, and if a task seems to be too difficult or more in the hands of chance than anything else, he will do his best to stay away. He is against throwing his life away for no good reason, and he is very unlikely to sacrifice it for anyone or anything, opting for retreat instead in the hopes of living to fight another day; he has no illusions or desires of being a “hero” or martyr. If he can save his comrades without risking his life, good; if not, then at least he can live, as there would be no point in him dying as well as his comrades should he fail, and in situations as that, Tatsu would usually believe that he’d fail.
Tatsu is a loner in nature, but he is not against working in a team or having friends. However, he prefers to stay unattached in most cases, as he is afraid of losing someone he cares about again and would rather be a bit lonely than go through that pain again, especially since it is a common pain in the shinobi world. Regardless, Tatsu is usually friendly and respectful of others, but he is not afraid to speak his mind. In fact, he can be very sarcastic, and he has a way of making sure to rebuke others if they deserve it or have done something stupid or detrimental to others. He is rarely harsh in his words or actions, wanting fairness in everything, and so his comrades see him as a valuable friend that will always say what needs to be said. We works just as well alone as on a team, but he makes sure to be prepared regardless for any given situation. If a mission is easier and quicker with a team, then a team he will find; if not, he’ll go at it alone.
Tatsu is a creature of the dark, yet he needs light to live. He finds the greatest beauty in the night as well as in a thunder storm, and he is happy to be in the midst of either. However, his cold-blooded nature necessitates the warm light of the sun, and so he roams the day to stay warm and semi-active. He is not particularly an active person if he is not training or on a mission, preferring to stay rather calm or secluded than anything else. He likes to read and is a able, avid learner, happy to study anything that can further his knowledge or his skills. However, his determination as a ninja makes him train quite a bit, and he tries his best to keep training anything he can. His dark persona comes out quite often, but he tries not to give up when it matters, opting to train his mind and body and succeed in everything he can. He is intelligent and knowledgeable, a smart tactician who tries to think ahead during any given situation, and he is calmest under pressure. He shows little emotion and prefers to let his words show it, thus making him very hard to read in battle, something he uses to his advantage.
Tatsu wants to do his best to hone his skills and become a great shinobi, using the memory of his lost parents as a way to push him forward no matter what. Although one might think his ideals contradict this desire, he makes it work somehow, and he does his best to do what he can for those has sworn allegiance to, and to those he cares about. With an indomitable will aimed at succeeding in his work as a shinobi, Raika lives his life to the fullest, even if not always on the brightest side of thought.

Appearance:
Tatsu’s appearance accentuates his weird and dark demeanor. His conception between a Kazeraikou and a Tokagekuran led to some very interesting mutations in his physical appearance, leading to certain traits completely irregular from what one would perceive as normal. For instance, his eyes are not the blue or brown that is typical of the Kazeraikou, yet they are not tinted yellow as the Ritual of Scales usually produces. They are orange gold in color, a phenomenon most of his younger friends found cool yet weird. Ryu believed this to mean that his pupils would probably turn a darker blue upon activation of the Ryuugan doujutsu, though in actuality they were blood red. Raiya and her clan always found this trait to be peculiar and interesting, yet they did not ostracize Tatsu for it. As it stands, Tatsu is proud of his blood red eyes, saying that they truly are a gateway into his soul.
Tatsu’s other physical traits are also interesting, but not as peculiar. Due to the Ritual of Scales, he has very little body fat, making him very lean and flexible, as well as agile and quick. His skin is slightly tanned, but only minutely, giving him an almost yellow-glow in the sun. One would also notice the scales which compose Tatsu’s skin, tough and visible at close range. The scales are tough, physical traits of double origin: the Ritual of Scales, and a skin disorder called Epidermolytic Hyperkeratosis, or at least, that’s what the apparent cause was. His incisors are slightly longer than most, giving them an almost canine appearance. He is tall, but only averagely, and he makes sure to work his muscles enough to make him strong but not built: he does not want to look “ripped” in the sense of big muscle, he just wants enough to have strong taijutsu without sacrificing speed, which is why he would sometimes go by the nickname Raika, an alias he enjoyed and gladly began to use again when he became a shinobi. He also became a rather adept escape artist due to being double jointed in many points of his body, to the level of a contortionist. The Ritual of Scales allowed him even more flexibility, making him strong yet nimble, an interesting and balanced combination.
His face is triangular in way and sort of long, but not overly so. He has a slender look about his head in general. He has short, jet black with golden highlights, all put up in a wavy, spikey fashion. His eyes show little emotion, and are set in a serious fashion over a normal sized nose. If one looked closely one could see the slits inside of his nose which resemble reptile pits, a trait of the Tokagekuran after the Ritual of Scales. He has slender cheeks with a strong yet sharp chin, accentuated by averagely thin lips with a slightly dark tint.
Tatsu usually wears the several styles of clothing at different times. However, his main outfit is composed of shinobi gear accentuated with a hooded cloak that spikes out at the top center--he usually keeps it down when off mission, but during fighting or mission he prefers it up. Under his vest usually come close-fitting long-sleeve shirts ending with fingerless, black gloves on his hands. This tight clothing has a purpose, allowing him to better gain heat from the sun and keep it in his body, a necessity due to his cold-blooded nature. His clothing is usually dark in color, black being the most prominent. He also likes to wear crimson or blood-red, a color that goes well with his eyes and a color he just loves.
On missions, Tatsu puts on a set of gear he inherited from his father. Although they serve little defensive, offensive, or tactical purpose, he does not leave the village or on a mission without them. These include vambraces and special shin armor of the same form as the bracers on Tatsu’s arms. Although they look great, they offer little protection against weaponry or jutsu of any kind. These items are mainly for show, but Tatsu would never do anything as a shinobi without them, except to train.

Background/History:
The circumstances that led to the birth of Tatsu were very interesting indeed, and as such his life has always been somewhat interesting, though not always in an exciting way. His mother was a member of the Tokagekuran clan, a Chameleon who spent much of her time doing missions in the Thunder Country. During one of her missions she ran into a man of the Kazeraikou bloodline. At first they perceived each other as enemies, ignorant of the other’s mission, and so they fought. They were very much even in skill and they quickly gained respect for each other as shinobi; however, a small opening created by the Tokagekuran woman gave enough chance for the Kazeraikou to trap her in one of his techniques. Yet as he was about to deliver the killing blow, he hesitated, finding it difficult to kill his opponent. Thankfully, he never had to finish the kill, as at that moment both the Tokagekuran teammates as well the teammates of the Kazeraikou arrived and explained each other’s presence. They quickly realized that their targets were one and the same, so they decided to work together to increase their chances of success. The man and woman who fought introduced themselves to each other, no longer as enemies, but as allies—Ryu Kazraikou and Raiya Tokagekuran. Their mutual respect grew and after successfully completing the mission together, they kept in touch. Eventually the two fell in love, and so to better have their chance together, Raiya brought Ryu to her clan Elders as a Lizard Friend. Upon being judged favorably, the Tokagekuran ritual was performed, and Ryu became a member of the clan. Ryu decided live within the secret Tokagekuran caves instead of in the village, never having truly cared for anyone of the village. Together they went out on missions with great results, mostly for the Rain Country. However, Raiya soon became pregnant, and thus had to stay in the clan caves as Ryu went to missions. It was not long before Tatsu was born within the outskirts of Thunder, but being members of the Cloud village meant they could not make a life within the borders of the Rain Country; thus, with permission from the Elders, Ryu and Raiya decided to make their homes in the Cloud.
Tatsu grew in the village with his parents usually on missions together, but he never felt as if he was missing their love, because every time they returned they dedicated every single moment to him. He was loved and cared for greatly, and as he grew older he became determined to follow in the footsteps of his parents. Tatsu was lazy in the Ninja Academy, but he picked up the basics quickly, and although he was far from being a prodigy, he was growing into a fine ninja. He even became friends with a member of the Tsubasa clan and was fascinated by his wings, wishing that one day he would be able to have a pair of his own. He developed an interesting skin condition, however, growing tough, scaly skin all over even before he had the Tokagekuran ritual performed on himself. Thankfully, having parents that were from the lizard clan meant that others viewed it almost as normal, so it was never an issue. However, the elders of the Tokagekuran surmised that perhaps Tatsu’s unique heritage between a Kazeraikou and Tokagekuran awoke within the young boy an ancient blood, likely that of dragons, that was present in his lineage. This belief was further perpetuated by the fact that Tatsu had excellent low-light vision, far surpassing that of a regular person and more akin to the night vision of certain animals. At 7 years old his parents took him back to the Tokagekuran cave, where the Ritual of Scales was performed on him and he became a Fresh Blood. At 13 he finally graduated from the academy, and soon he learned of his affinity for lightning. He learned his first technique, and with his mastery of the technique and his tactical nerve, the Elders decided to make him a Lizardman. His parents were proud, and they made sure Tatsu knew.
Unfortunately, it wouldn’t last. During a mission in Rain, shinobi found Tatsu’s parents, who had been acting as spies. Both were targeted for elimination, so they attacked. Outnumbered, Ryu and Raiya eventually fell, but not without killing several members of the Rain team—Raiya herself made sure to destroy Ryu’s body right upon his death and made sure her own was destroyed as well so as to preserve the secrets of the Tokagekuran. News of his parents’ deaths all but destroyed Tatsu, and it changed his life forever. He became a loner, nearly devoid of emotion. He mourned his parents within the Tokagekuran caves, fostering a hate of the Rain and a hatred of shinobi. He refused to learn any new techniques and almost completely fell from the path of the ninja. His brethren sympathized with him, but they feared that if he tried to retaliate against the Rain he might expose their secrets, so the clan members kept him in the caves should he try anything reckless.
Eventually, Tatsu grew tired of the morbid life he had condemned himself to live, and thus decided once more to follow the path of the shinobi. He decided to do away with his hate and to embrace the logic of the world, realizing that life had to move on, and that the best thing he could do to honor his parents was to be a shinobi. Though he still fostered grim and pessimistic feelings, he turned them into more realist-type natures, using his outlook to better aid him and keep from impairing his determination for success. Knowing that within the Cloud he could better train and hone his abilities of lightning while serving as a ninja, Tatsu pleaded with the Elders to allow him to live within the Hidden Cloud Village, swearing to return to the clan caves should the Elders ever wish it and promising to keep the clan secrets to himself always. Reluctantly, the Elders agreed, and so Tatsu went to the Raikage and asked to become a shinobi of the Cloud, pledging his complete loyalty to the village as long as his loyalties to the Tokagekuran clan were not in contrasted. The Raikage accepted, and so Tatsu, with his old rank of Lizardman, began to work on regaining the skills he had lost over the years in his solitude within the caves. He went to live in the village with an aunt from the Tokagekuran clan who had lived in Kumo for a long time.
Still, it was not easy. Tatsu had forgotten much, and could only remember one technique: his very first lightning jutsu. The basics he still had, barely, but he could no longer remember how to use the techniques of his clan, and thus he would have to relearn them all from scratch. He was determined, however, to become strong and powerful, for he would never forget what the Rain did to his parents. He hoped that living in Kumogakure would give him the access to fight against the Rain as enemies, and though he knew he would never have the ability to take on the village alone, he hoped that his allegiance to the Cloud would one day mean he would get a chance for retribution against the village that brought his greatest tragedy. He wanted to become the self-proclaimed “Storm Dragon of Darklight”, and thus his journey as a true shinobi began…
