Zeki would have taken a deep breath to steady himself if he had a pair of lungs but as it was the closest he could do was just nervously stare at the contraption in front of him. It was made of some sort of golden metal and was very oddly shaped yet it could somehow let Zeki fly if he had read the manual correctly. He really, really hoped that he had not read the manual wrong, else this journey would become quite painful.
Still, he had a mission to complete, so the shinobi slowly managed to insert himself correctly into the machine. "Right, so, first thing first, I have to get lift off." Zeki mumbles to himself as he finished securing himself to the machine. Then the Sadojin circulated charka through his body into the machine at a slow rate and the machine responded by slowly rising into the air.
"Whoa! Steady, steady!" Zeki yells in shock as the machine suddenly veers to the left and was only able to correct its course just mere inches from a nearby tree. "Too close..." he mumbles as, now quite carefully, raises into the air above tree top level. "At least I will not be crashing into trees any time soon."Zeki thinks as he veers away from a taller-than-normal tree, giving it a distrusting glance.
The Shinobi steadied the craft in the air and gauged the direction he needed to go. Then, steeling his eyes in preparation, he maneuvered the machine into going forward in a northwestern direction without much trouble. "Well, I think I might have this dow-" Zeki starts to say but gets cut off by the device suddenly dropping several feet and his corresponding scream. The device caught air only just a second later and Zeki recovered his wits a few seconds after that, righted himself and gained altitude once again before continuing his journey.
The flying in the correct direction part was not very hard thanks to his knowledge he gained from the manual. And while the manual had explained many things, it did not give much advice on the dangers of flight. The wind constantly tried to blow him off course and air pockets would send him suddenly dropping until he managed to get out of them. Despite this he managed to make some headway and even learned to not freak out when hitting air pockets or a sudden change of direction by the wind. Still, with the sun at his back and the wind not too rough, Zeki started to even have fun while piloting the device.....for now.
